An open air, teak-lined flybridge crowns this supremely stylish vessel, offering guests the chance to work on their tan while admiring the commanding views out to sea. A set of sun-loungers, a forward sunpad, dining possibilities and a wet bar occupy the lavish space up here, but this represents just one of five aft-sun terraces across the yacht. There’s more space for lounging and entertaining on the upper deck, where low-slung, contemporary sofas give this space the feel of a cliffside retreat in Malibu. One level down you will find a dining terrace with a marble-topped outdoor galley, sofas galore and a sheltered dining table for up to twelve, while this space is joined by room out on the elevated foredeck for a jacuzzi spa-pool or even a Eurocopter helipad. To the rear of the main deck, however, is the star of the show. Back here there are is a set of modular sunpads in sophisticated marine-grade upholstery surrounding a full-length infinity swimming pool built up against the transom. Side steps then lead down to a full-beam bathing platform that reveals a hidden beach-club with seating and water-level gym and bar facilities, as well as fold-down bulwarks that open up onto the sea itself.

Interiors are set to be no less impressive, and bound to feature Benetti’s chic Italian flair for designs that appear at once both contemporary and timeless. Expect marble and leather, exotic hardwoods and showpiece bulkheads, along with bespoke furnishings, ornate lighting fixtures and a level of amenity that can only be matched by a five-star hotel. On the upper deck there is a plush and subdued wheelhouse with all the navigational tech required for long-haul island-hopping, while one-level down there is a cinema-lounge and an owner’s stateroom with a living room, wrap-around forward windows, two vast en-suite bathrooms connected by a dressing room and even a snack galley. On the main deck there is a free-flowing salon that includes a pair of L-shaped sofas, a set of ottomans, modular coffee tables and a formal dining table for up to 14 guests.

There are set to be en-suite sleeping quarters for up to twelve guests, including secluded staterooms on the upper-decks with full-beam dimensions, floor-to-ceiling glazing, walk-in dressing rooms, lavish materials and private living and workspace. Joining these are crew quarters for up to eleven members of staff with separate facilities and an industrial-sized service galley, ideal for maximizing convenience and privacy. Thanks to two side-entry tender garages you can store up to seven jet-tenders aboard this yacht at any given time, along with two 32-feet auxiliary watercraft ideal for taking guests to hidden coves and hard to reach marinas.

Top speeds are expected to hit around 14 knots, while at a 12-knot cruising pace this yacht boasts an expedition-style range of approximately 5,000 nautical miles, more than enough for a Transatlantic voyage. The yacht also features an innovative Electric cruising mode for an efficient and eco-friendly way of traversing the seas.

Built by the German shipyard Lurssen in 2009, this 75m/248ft Custom superyacht features timeless exterior styling by Espen Oeino while her plush and luxurious interiors were completed by Pauline Nunns. This ultra-luxurious yacht has a number of accolades to her name, earned from her excellent internal and external layout, naval architecture and facilities. She is able to accommodate up to 12 charter guests in 6 spacious cabins and is an ideal vessel for relaxing charter vacations with family or friends.

For guests arriving by tender, the main deck aft will be the first sight that greets them and a wide swim platform connects to a broad stairway which in turn leads up to the alfresco lounge shaded by the upper deck overhang. The exterior seating is designed to make the most of the views and the L-shaped sofas face outwards, while two coffee tables create the ideal setting for breakfast on the fresh air.

The upper deck is also known as the Owner's deck, and charter guests occupying this floor can choose to use it exclusively or share the space with the other guests. The upper deck aft contains the alfresco dining area which is designed to seat 12 guests in stately elegance with drinks available from the nearby bar. Along the stern, there is a surplus of seating arranged so that guests can break off into smaller groups for more personal conversations. The upper deck forward also features a Portuguese deck for an additional outdoor lounge that takes in the forward view. Down on the bow, the tenders are stored beneath a hatch and a winch crane for easy unloading and retrieval.

The bridge deck is fitted with a shaded aft spa pool and the area behind to the stern could be used for sun loungers, a helipad or as a place to party.

Up, on the sundeck, guests can admire their surroundings while lying back in the generous forward Jacuzzi or making use of the curving forward seating areas that can be used for alfresco dining or converted into sun pads. To the aft, there is plenty of room for exercise such as yoga.

The main deck salon is decorated using classic styling and contemporary colours for bold and sophisticated recreational areas. In the middle, there are two almost symmetrical seating areas on the port and starboard sides and there is a grand piano for live entertainment.

Forward of the salon, there is a spacious formal dining area that both adults and children will enjoy for its beautiful detailing and combination of pale and vibrant colours.

The forward area of the main deck is reserved for the majority of the guest accommodation and on the starboard side, there is also a guest office and a massage room. There are more amenities located on the lower deck and tank deck, with the former hosting a dive centre and sauna, and the latter an expansive cinema.

The upper deck can be shared by all guests or used exclusively by the occupants of the spacious Master stateroom located forward. The suite has separate his and hers bathrooms and walk-in wardrobes as well as a private office and bar. Towards the aft, the sky lounge is a cool environment filled with plush furnishings in white and blue. Opposite the seating, there is a forward fireplace, plus a games table and a bar.

To complete the incredible offerings aboard this 75m Lurssen superyacht, the bridge deck contains a fitness room with a comprehensive range of equipment, the helm and the captain's cabin.

The 2 x Diesel Caterpillar 268 engines produce a top speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots.

Newly launched 75m superyacht KENSHÕ set to join charter fleet in 2022

Marking the latest addition to the Admiral fleet, the impressive 74.85m (246ft) superyacht KENSHÕ has just been launched from their flagship Italian Sea Group shipyard and is now ready for final outfitting and sea trials before being delivered to her owner early in the new year.

With a name taken from a Japanese term from the Zen tradition meaning enlightenment or when one's own nature is seen for what it truly is, this formidable yacht cleverly harmonises innovation with exquisite craftsmanship for a truly immersive sensory experience nonpareil.

Boasting a sleek silhouette with a striking reverse bow and metallic blue hull, her exterior design is a collaboration between the shipyard and design teams from Azure Yacht Design and Dutch naval architecture firm Archineers.berlin, as well as French interior designers Agence Jouin Manku, with reportedly heavy involvement from the owner throughout the entire build project.

She features state-of-the-art technology and engineering for all her onboard systems, as well as a veth azimuth gearless steerable propulsion system with the iElectric motor offering 360° manoeuvrability.

While few details thus far have been revealed, what we do know is that she has four expansive decks with a vast waterside beach club area featuring a glass-sided swimming pool.

Her interior design showcases rich tones and textured surfaces with luxurious finishes using high quality materials such as teak, marble, onyx and bronze. This gives the space a polished feel while plush fabrics and sumptuous furniture ensure a warm and inviting ambience, further enhanced by her 2.7m/9ft lofty ceilings and full-length windows.

She will comfortably be able to accommodate up to 12 charter guests in her luxuriously appointed suites, including a sprawling full-beam Owner's suite which can be partitioned for additional privacy, with the same calming zen motif running throughout all the cabins.

It is expected that yacht KENSHÕ will undertake sea trials later this year before delivery to her Owner. It has been reported that she will be available for charter around the Mediterranean for summer 2022.

Squared MK reveals 75m yacht concept NYX

London-based design studio Squared MK has released details of a new 75 metre motor yacht concept called NYX.

A fast displacement steel hull would support an aluminium superstructure, and the designers add that particular attention was paid to aesthetics and proportions.

Accommodation is for up to 14 guests, who will have plenty of room to mingle in NYX’s large open-plan saloon. Meanwhile, the crew quarters would allow for a staff of up to 20 people.

In a statement, the studio added: “Our goal was to design a challenging vessel with a strong character, for an active client with passion for style and a dynamic and charming lifestyle.”

The owner would be able to enjoy the privacy of a private deck, complete with its own fold-out superyacht terrace , Jacuzzi and bar.

Other key features include a spa area with an underwater viewing lounge, a second Jacuzzi on the foredeck, and another fold-out terrace in the VIP cabin. Preliminary interior renderings hint at an opulent décor, with chandeliers, mosaic tiling and curved staircases.

The superyacht garage has been designed with plenty of space for storing four tenders measuring up to 12 metres, four Jet Skis and a two-person submersible.

Power would come from a pair of 3,433hp MTU engines for a cruising speed of 16 knots and a top speed of 20 knots. Further details are yet to be disclosed, but the GA has been described as “unique”.

NYX follows on from the 45 metre superyacht concept Mania , which Squared MK released back in May.

Cruising the Moskva River: A short guide to boat trips in Russia’s capital

There’s hardly a better way to absorb Moscow’s atmosphere than on a ship sailing up and down the Moskva River. While complicated ticketing, loud music and chilling winds might dampen the anticipated fun, this checklist will help you to enjoy the scenic views and not fall into common tourist traps.

How to find the right boat?

There are plenty of boats and selecting the right one might be challenging. The size of the boat should be your main criteria.

Plenty of small boats cruise the Moskva River, and the most vivid one is this yellow Lay’s-branded boat. Everyone who has ever visited Moscow probably has seen it.

This option might leave a passenger disembarking partially deaf as the merciless Russian pop music blasts onboard. A free spirit, however, will find partying on such a vessel to be an unforgettable and authentic experience that’s almost a metaphor for life in modern Russia: too loud, and sometimes too welcoming. Tickets start at $13 (800 rubles) per person.

Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such  option  offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).

If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.

Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.

How to buy tickets?

Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.

“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!”  wrote  (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.

Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.

Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.

Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.

Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as  this   offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.

This  website  (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other  website  sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.

Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.

“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.

There are two main boarding piers in the city center:  Hotel Ukraine  and  Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.

Where to sit onboard?

Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.

The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.

Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.

There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.
