Marina El Cid Beach Hotel & Yacht Club - Beautiful Resort & Great Customer Service

We enjoyed excellent customer service from the whole Marina Beach staff, including friendly, personal greetings when passing by. The resort is lush and lovely and we observed continual maintenance of the facilities. The staff is hard-working and very accommodating, helpful, & friendly when interacting with guests. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite which was very spacious and had great view of the ocean. We took advantage of dining at a different restaurant of the El Cid resorts each night via the El Cid shuttle 6 of 7 nights. The 7th night, we enjoyed room service pizzas & salads our room with friends also staying at the resort so we could play cards and board games. Breakfasts were enjoyed at the Marina Beach resort restaurants and we really like the fruit smoothies on the menu at La Marina. We thoroughly enjoyed lunches by the resort's pool cafes as we hung out by the pools most of the time. The aquaerobics instructors are great at Marina El Cid in Mazatlan! (We have been to other El Cid Resorts in Puerto Moreles and Cozumel for comparison.) We also enjoyed use of the spa & fitness center - workouts and massages. The beach side of the resort & beach clubhouse was very full on the day the cruise ships were in town and more of those day-pass guests stayed over there with just a few taking the water taxi over the canal to... Wonderful location and resort! Pros: Close enough to walk to local taquerias, the beach, stores. Beautiful grounds, lovely comfortable, spacious, quiet unit. Great shower, 2 bathroom sinks. Big continuous balcony off both the living room and bedroom with a calming view of the ocean. Mostly Spanish speaking guests, which is our preference. Staff is pretty bi-lingual. Staff is super accommodating, very helpful and friendly. Front desk super polite, answering questions, setting up covid tests, whatever we needed and very efficient. Not much waiting for anything! Cons: We would have liked the kitchenette to have been a little better equipped. The A/C worked great, too great, was actually too cold, and we would shut it off. The onsite restaurants are mediocre and overpriced for what you get, but great inexpensive food is very close by. We would definitely come back here. No hard timeshare sell.

El Cid Marina Beach Hotel has very friendly staff, nice relaxing view of the Marina from our balcony and everything is close like a boutique style resort. Food at the pool was great and loved the All Inclusive so even if I didn't like anything, I could order something else and not feel bad about it. You can go to all the surrounding resorts and enjoy free drinks and food there too. (You have to make a reservation to most of the specialty restaurants the day before). The only thing I didn't care for is you are charged for WiFi. $45 per device for the whole time you are there and you can't switch devices. Or $10 a day per device. I think it should be included. It's a necessity in today's world. Also, the rooms are roomy but dated, and it's more for families than adults. Lots of kids. No designated adult pool. And if you upgrade you get all the additional perks, if you don't it's basic, but good enough. Go see the 2 hour presentation and they give you more perks, like a free sunset cruise and transportation back to the airport. Overall, nice but not amazing. Great for a quick getaway.

Always a great place. Beautiful ocean & sunset views. Great, friendly staff! Good activities led by Dante & staff! I love to play Bingo, Mexican Loteria & Blackjack. Rooms & grounds are well maintained. Great fishing fleet-both deep sea & bottom fishing! Armando is the General Manager & is very available to help with any problems. El Cid certainly knows a thing or two about real estate: This resort overlooks Mazatlán's picturesque marina from its seat in the city's Golden Zone ( Zona Dorada ). The First Pacific Brass Festival will be held in Mazatlán from April 15 to 25 in collaboration with the World & European Brass Association, with more than 30 activities.

Be part of this historic event in our country, which will feature more than 15 outstanding national and international musicians.

What better openning for the spring season than a concert featuring the famous mazatleco, Carlos Osuna, from the Vienna State Opera? Mr. Osuna will be interpretating a beautiful piece called Pasión Española Gala de Zarzuela, accompied by mazatleca soprano Rebeca de Rueda.

This week is the International Motoweek, motorcycles from all around mexico and the world come to shore for this special event, concerts, parade and more!

From Olas Altas to Valentino’s. around 4pm, many people like to reserve a table along Olas Alta’s restaurants to enjoy the parade, watch the bikers and their stunts. More than 15000 motorcycles from various countries!

Enjoy of an afternoon full of art and culture, with a free self-guided tour that everyone looks forward to. Its a wonderful opportunity to meet the artists of the Historic Center, there will be approx. 40 artists in 24 locations.

A New York Opera, never presented before in México. It consists of two operas, La cambiole di marriage/the marriage contract ,  a one-act musical farce by Gioachino Rossini and Mese marino/month of May by Umberno Giordano.

A dance performance featuring the much beloved Ballet Folklórico, enjoy this colorful and energetic piece where they will show you the magic of all the regional dances and costumes.
