I'm still hoping for a positive resolution, and will update this review if it happens. I've started a BBB process, as well. Was in process of buying a boat and waiting on a mechanical inspection of the engine. I had paid $236 to travel inter-island and sea trial the boat. The sales team told me they needed a check to hold the boat for me and they assured me three times that they would not cash the check until the deal was finalized. Bank sent check on September 6 through FedEx. Check arrived on Sept 7 and was immediately deposited and I was NOT informed. Three weeks passed, as I waited for the mechanical inspection. When I called back on Sept 26 to find out the status of this deal I was informed that the check had been cashed. I asked them to immediately return the funds. They took three days to return the funds to the bank on Sept 29. I heard nothing from anyone at this business until I reached out Oct 22 and was informed they would not reimburse me the $538.40 of interest accrued while this business held the $75,000.00 of funds in their account for three weeks.

Justin and his staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The sales experience was easy and straightforward. Highly recommend checking out PBY before buying a boat anywhere else in Hawaii.

Ocean Craft Marine prepares to deliver two USCG approved Subchapter-T, Tour and Dive RIB Boats for commercial service in Hawaii

Ocean Craft Marine (Ocean Craft Marine ) recently received orders to deliver two highly customized 9.5 Meter Tour and Dive RIB Boats through our Hawaii Dealer; Pacific Boats and Yachts, LLC. These USCG Inspected, Subchapter – T, Tour vessels, while being delivered to different customers, are both similarly customized and configured to maximize passenger comfort for seadolphin & whale watching and other eco-tourism adventures.

In addition, both Tour and Dive RIB Boats are outfitted with dive-platforms and dive-ladders to accommodate recreational diving sorties. Both vessels will be powered by twin Yamaha 250HP outboard motors and have a full suite of the latest navigation and communication electronics.

New 12.5 M Riverine Assault Vessel Tested 1250 RAV Depicted Below

Ocean Craft Marine has developed a new aluminium constructed 12.5 Meter variant called the 1250 Riverine Assault Vessel (1250 RAV). Available in various multi-mission configurations, the Ocean Craft Marine 1250 RAV was specifically designed for the stated requirements of our multiple customers in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Nations and in South America.

Ideally suited for near-coastal, inland and riverine environments, the Ocean Craft Marine RAV 1250 is powered by twin inboard diesel engines mated to Hamilton Jet final drives and delivers a whopping 880 HP with boat number one testing at an astonishing fully-loaded speed of 42 knots. With Troop seating for 16 and shock-mitigated crewmember seating for an additional four, the Ocean Craft Marine RAV 1250 can be configured with a forward or midshipsituatedremovable pilot house. The 1250 RAV is available with a hydraulically actuated bow-ramp for dis-embarking troops ashore and can have up to four crew-served weapons stations supporting heavy weapons such as the M2, MK 19 and the GAU 17 mini-gun.

In addition, up to four M7 counter-measure launchers can be fitted on the vessels stern.The RAV 1250 has NATO level 3, mission-modular, Dyneema® anti-ballistic panels which can be deployed to protect embarked assault troops and an anti-ballistic protected pilot house, windscreen, engine compartment and fuel system. The vessel can be rotary-wing and fixed-wing aircraft transportable and fitted with gyro stabilized forward looking infrared (FLIR) cameras.

Boaters in the 51st Transpacific Yacht Race set sail to Hawaii

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The first wave of boaters in this year’s Transpacific Yacht Race set sail for Honolulu on Tuesday morning.

Some 41 yachts are participating in the biennial 2,225-mile long race, which launches from Los Angeles.

The Transpacific Yacht Club said the race will be split in three divisions with three different start dates, depending on the size, speed and type of the competing boats.

Only one boat is competing from Hawaii this year — Bob Pethick’s “Bretwalda 3,” which will be representing the Waikiki Yacht Club.

The 8-member crew aboard the “Bretwalda 3″ will launch Friday afternoon as part of the race’s second wave.

Boaters in Wave 3 will embark on their journey beginning Saturday.

The Transpacific Yacht Club said the fastest boat usually take about five to six days to traverse the Pacific.

“Being out in the ocean 1,000 miles from nowhere is somehow addicting,” said Dan Merino, a sailor in the race.

“We’re expecting a fairly fast race. The tricky part for us and the start is going to be getting out into the synoptic breeze. That’s the challenge and that’s what I’m kind of looking at before,” said Charles Busch, a Transpac sailor.

The race is celebrating its 51st anniversary, having first launched the competition in 1906.
