The captain William and his colleague were very respectful of the wildlife and collected any floating rubbish spotted en route. We had a fantastic sighting of a large pod of pilot whales and William skill in getting us very close with the boats engines turned off to minimise the disruption to the whales was impressive. He also knew the names of some of the whales. One the way back he spotted a turtle and we also had a quite rare sighting of a Portuguese man of war which was beautiful. We had an amazing experience and was fortunate to see pods of Wales with 5 or more members, around 10 to 12 dolphins that are very inquisitive and love to race alongside the boat. And we even saw the top of a hammer head shark. The boat only allows up to 12 people with plenty of room for everyone, making it a far better experience than fighting the crowds on the big boats. The crew of William and Stylian were lovely and very informative. You could tell that the conservation of the marine life is their passion. And to top it all off there is free drinks and fruit. We saw lots of pilot whales, no dolphins but plenty of whales. We even saw a discarded octopus tentacle from a huge deep deep ocean octopus that the pilot whales hadn’t eaten! We saw an enormous pod of dolphins (some jumping) a pod of whales and a turtle. Both the guys running it were so lovely to us and our girls, even when our youngest was a little seasick. You could tell they were passionate about sea life and also respectful of the ocean too picking up litter for example. Only two families were booked on so we had lots of space and they let us sit up on the bow and weren’t pedantic with lots of rules like some trips can be. Can you rent a yacht in Tenerife – do I need a license?

Small boats (under a certain horsepower or length), electric boats, crewed yacht charters and gulet charters may not require a license. Larger boats or those with more powerful engines need a skipper’s license. Before you confirm your sailing trip to Tenerife, please send us a copy and we will check it for you. You need to have the original copies with you on-board, so don’t forget to take them. To sail in Spain, one of the following qualifications is necessary : • ICC (International Certificate of Competence), International, with valid Navigational and VHF licenses Prerequisites: RYA “Day Skipper Course” or complete the ICC Assessment form to prove competence from previous experience. If you do not have a skipper license, it is also possible to rent a boat with a skipper

Which period is best to sail in Tenerife?

The climate diagrams are based on 30 years of hourly weather model simulations. They give good indications of typical climate patterns and expected conditions (temperature, precipitation, sunshine, and wind). The “mean daily maximum” (solid red line) shows the maximum temperature of an average day for every month for Tenerife. Likewise, the “mean daily minimum” (solid blue line) shows the average minimum temperature.

Balance Payment Upon arrival and check-in at Puerto Colon harbor, you’ll be required to settle the remaining balance. Payments can be made in cash or by card, unless specified differently on your ticket.

E-Ticket Details After booking, you’ll receive an E-ticket. This will detail your paid deposit and the remaining balance due upon arrival.

Weather Conditions: Our boat rentals in Tenerife operate subject to weather conditions. If faced with unsafe weather conditions, we’ll provide an alternative date for your trip.

Cancellation and Rescheduling:

• You can cancel or reschedule your booking up to 4 days in advance by contacting us at [email protected] .
• For cancellations made between 2 to 4 days prior to the trip, 25% of your deposit will be refunded.
• Canceling less than 48 hours in advance results in a forfeiture of your deposit. If you cancel within 24 hours, or are a no-show, a fee amounting to 40% of the arrival payment (excluding fuel costs) will apply. This fee compensates for the potential lost booking.
• Lateness: Arriving late will result in reduced boat rental time, equal to the minutes you’re late.
• Seasickness: The ocean can sometimes be choppy. Should you decide to end your trip early due to seasickness, please note that refunds will not be provided.

Onboard Policies:

• BYOFD (Bring Your Own Food and Drinks): While guests are welcome to bring their own refreshments, alcohol consumption by the person driving the boat is strictly forbidden. Any fines incurred due to violations of this rule are the responsibility of the guest.
• No Alcohol While Steering: It’s imperative to note that drinking and driving a boat is strictly prohibited.
• Minimum Age Requirement: Renters must be at least 18 years of age to ensure safety and responsibility.
• Coolbox Onboard: We provide a coolbox, but don’t forget to pack your own ice to keep items cool.
