The award winning 73m/239'6" motor yacht 'Dragonfly' (ex. Silver Zwei) was built by SilverYachts in Australia at their Henderson, WA shipyard. Her interior is styled by design house Silvestrin Design and she was completed in 2009. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Espen Oeino and she was last refitted in 2019.

Guest Accommodation

Dragonfly has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 18 guests in 9 suites comprising three VIP cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 16 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Onboard Comfort & Entertainment

Her features include a dancefloor, movie theatre, sauna, beach club, gym, deck jacuzzi, WiFi and air conditioning.

Range & Performance

Built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks, she benefits from a semi-displacement hull to provide exceptional seakeeping and impressive speeds. Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 4000 M71) 2,481hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 25 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 27 knots with a range of up to 4,500 nautical miles from her 110,000 litre fuel tanks at 18 knots. Dragonfly features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels. Her water tanks store around 30,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to Lloyds Register Lloyds Maltese Cross 100A1, SSC Yacht Mono G6 Maltese Cross LMC UMS SOLAS up to 35 passengers classification society rules, and is MCA Compliant.

"Dragonfly" offers accommodations for six owners/guests in three staterooms.  “Dragonfly” boasts an exceptionally large interior with full beam master cabin aft and private head.  The salon is spacious and integrates with the step up fully equipped galley.  Going forward down the port side companionway leads you to the VIP cabin with athwortship queen berth and en suite head that also serves as the day head.  There is also a private cross-over double berth forward that sleeps two more guests.  The interior wood package is a rich cherry with neutral accents and ultra-leather coverings.   On the exterior “Dragonfly” features a huge aft deck covered by a fiberglass hardtop, swim platform with sea lift, forward staircases to the bow and seating area, and a large fly bridge with ample seating.  The amount of storage on this model is to say the least, EXCESSIVE!!  It is a great layout for a potential live aboard situation.

As featured on CharterWorld here , the outstanding 73m Silver Yachts motor yacht Dragonfly has been deployed under Owner’s instructions  to Vanuatu , following the devastation caused by Cyclone Pam. Captain Mike Gregory of mega yacht Dragonfly has commented on the relief efforts in the region.

“ After six days on the ground working in the more remote areas of Vanuatu, we have been shocked daily by the level of damage and destruction that Cyclone Pam has caused. We have found villages that are still waiting for aid nearly two weeks after the storm and are down to their last days of food stocks. Many of these villages have no fresh water source.

“I am incredibly proud of what the team onboard have achieved in responding to the emergency here in Vanuatu and we are all glad that we have been able to give something back to those that were so hospitable to us.

Our current mission statistics are now:

■      Discharged and staged over 50,000 litres (13,000 gallons) of fresh water in 10 villages.

■      Attended to over 220 casualties/patients

■      Facilitated 3 medical evacuations

■      Cleared numerous helicopter Landing Zones for ongoing support

■      Cleared access roads and removed fallen trees from buildings

■      Delivered and/or erected shelter in multiple villages

Our efforts will continue into the weekend and we hope to reach 80,000 litres of water. ”

Motor Yacht "Dragonfly" helped in Vanuatu

The captain of the 73m motor yacht "dragonfly" (built by silver yachts in 2009) published a video of their mission in vanuatu..

In Vanuatu raged a cyclone in mid of March 2015 and many aid organization helped there. One of them is YachtAid Global  with M/Y Dragonfly. A big, big, big thank you to the crew, YachtAid Global and all other people who helped there 🙂

Captain Mike Gregory comments:

“Whilst on board in the week leading up to the 14th March, the crew and I were watching a storm develop in the South Pacific with trepidation. Having spent the past few years cruising these beautiful areas we have made many friends and developed relationships with the local communities in these island groups. Unfortunately, our fears were realized when the storm became a Cat 5 Cyclone and on the 14th March, it ran straight over the top of the remote island chain of Vanuatu, 1,000 Miles East of Australia. It was a horrible feeling knowing that the people of Vanuatu were suffering and we felt compelled to assist in whatever way we could. After a discussion, the Owners fully supported the decision to head south and assist those same people that had been so hospitable to us in recent years

The team that we have on Dragonfly are exceptional, we have over recent years developed our medical training program and all crew are highly trained with 5 EMT’s & a Dr on board we were well positioned to act as first responders on the many islands that we visited”

Mission Statics

• Discharged and staged over 62,000 liters of fresh water in 21 villages (9 Islands)
• Attended to over 250 casualties/patients and assessed much more.
• Facilitated 3 medical evacuations
• Cleared numerous helicopter Landing Zones for ongoing support
• Cleared access roads and removed fallen trees from buildings
• Delivered and/or erected shelter in multiple villages
