Long Beach Yacht Club is located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast next to Long Beach Marina in Long Beach, Mississippi. LBYC is a private club established in 1980 for use by its members, their families, and guests. The purpose of this organization is to encourage the sport of boating, promote the science of seamanship and navigation, to sponsor cruises, races, and instruction classes, and to foster a spirit of cooperation and good fellowship. We welcome as guests visiting members of other yacht clubs in the Gulf Yachting Association (GYA) and most other yacht clubs in the United States (following LBYC reciprocity and guest rules).

History lesson: LBYC was created back in 1929 to promote yachting and competitive sportsmanship on a world-class level — although interestingly enough the club’s first activity was to host a powerboat race. Nearly 100 years later, we also have a reputation that matches the scope and scale of our mission. Members take part in regattas, invitationals, championships, trips, and other events, and of course, access to our fleet of Catalina 37 One Design racing yachts and solings. 

We’ve expanded and evolved to offer members an all-inclusive definition of what it means to be a yacht club. Our year-round calendar includes a full range of power and sailboating programs, stand-up paddleboarding, fishing trips, and travel...nearly any and every recreational activity you can enjoy on, in, and close by the water. After all, we’re ultimately here to have fun, meet some great fellow members, perhaps compete for some bragging rights…and enjoy time with family and friends at this unique private waterfront retreat. FAMILY PADDLEBOARDING OUTING The family that takes to the water together, stays together! Enjoy an active, fun Family Paddleboarding Outing & Lunch - tour the Harbor, and after you’ve worked up an appetite enjoy lunch on our pool deck! 

If you are an experienced sailor, powerboater, or cruiser, you’ll find many opportunities to expand your skill set, and add to your knowledge base. If you’re new to sailing or boating — that’s fantastic! We have a full range of introductory programs where you can learn to sail, take part in our regattas and racing, and feel comfortable and confident on the water.

Congressional Cup LBYC’s Congressional Cup regatta is known as the “grandfather of match racing.” It’s the oldest continuously-held sailing match race event in the world, and pioneered the concept of on-water umpiring. This regatta sets the standard for top-level match racing, and the list of past winners reads like a Who’s Who of America’s Cup champions including Dennis Conner, and Ted Turner.

The crimson blazer the congressional cup trophy is accompanied by the equally sought-after crimson blazer — sailing’s equivalent to the masters green jacket in golf, and are sources of incredible pride for lbyc members and staff., lbyc burgee for those members new to sailing and the larger yacht world, a burgee is a distinguishing flag of a boating organization. the club and our members fly the lbyc burgee while under way and at anchor, day or night. by club lore, the use of a red star in our burgee is an acknowledgment to lbyc member eddie fink, who won the star class world title in 1932…although there is an extensive history that suggests the red star was in the original burgee and has remained there ever since., group fun lbyc groups offer activities for a variety of interests. as just two examples, the cruising group conducts trips all over southern california via land and sea, including a recent trip to the british virgin islands. with over 25% of members participating, our anglers group is one of the most active, featuring an annual vacation trip, travel to various tournaments, and activities for the kids, wet wednesdays formality aside, our regular wet wednesday regattas are a great way to gain sailing experience, get your sea legs back, or further hone your racing skills. we encourage everyone to come out, catch a ride on one of our catalina 37s or solings, meet fellow members…and enjoy some after-race socializing. if racing isn’t your passion, you can join the scoring team on the bridge deck or take a ride on the iconic loynes to get a glimpse into the world of race management., adult instruction our club is a leader in developmental adult sailing programs for those members with little or no sailing experience, or those who've spent time away from sailing and want to refresh their skills. introductory sailing classes are available, as well as intermediate and advanced instruction as you gain experience both sailing and racing. , junior sailing lbyc has a rich history of competitive sailors that have grown through our renowned junior sailing program. our mission is to promote and teach the sport of sailing and seamanship to the youth of the club, and our board of governance has a historic commitment to supporting our youth programs in every capacity..

This is a really wonderful place to have lunch! Beautiful view of the water and boats from every angle and had a lunch buffet with friends. The sandwiches were made to order as you'd like. Fresh fruit and cookies and the service was exceptional!

Always have a great time whenever me, my sister and my dad come down to the club, food never disappoints, the staff love us, they call my sister pumpkin and always happy to see each other so overall just a great place

I have been coming to the Long Beach Yacht Club for the last 8 years for corporate meetings a handful of times a year. Initially, I came as a participant and eventually started planning our quarterly meetings! The staff is beyond helpful and makes the process smooth and simple! Our events always go off without a hitch thanks to the staff's attention to detail and attentiveness! The food options are great and the facility is clean! Our team loves having our meetings in the upstairs meeting room which has all glass panels so they can enjoy the boats and Pacific Ocean view! Thanks LBYC for the continued support and great service!!

The price of their dishes is descend, Food is good. Location is excellent. It's located in Redondo Beach harbor. We were having our early dinner by the balcony of the restaurant. Watching sail boats coming in and the sky turning orange color. It was very relaxing.

We are back in our old stomping ground for a wedding and seeing Long Beach as a tourist is a weird experience after living here for 18 years. My sister is a member of the Yacht Club and we have been here for several occasion. This weekend the reason was to celebrate our daughters birthday and escape the cold of Minnesota. The Club has an extensive clubhouse, locker rooms, decent food if you dine in and a pool, pool deck and complete sailing program. We have mostly experienced the meals and pool and it is a great place to catch some sun and water while watching the boats sail by in the harbor. It's hard to have a bad day if there is sun out it is gorgeous and boats some of Long Beaches beautiful waterfront views. Memberships are available but pricey and I believe they run a discount for junior professionals as there is a significant senior population at the club.

On a quiet day the pool is glorious

Awesome food, and crazy nice staff!! The place even has an all year round holiday feel to it with one of the chefs in the kitchen looking like Santa Claus!!

Visiting the YC as a reciprocal from another YC, I was truly impressed with the focus on service provided by all of the staff members we interacted with. I also really respect that from the sounds of it that the YC did right by their staff during the COVID closures. Well done!

LBYC is the best!!! Don't know why other LB clubs,that are empty buildings, in comparison have more stars! Amazing youth programs for swimming, sailing, etc. super lively bar! Great service!!! Fancy restaurant with full service! Beautiful patio dining! Members can have events from weddings to small gatherings. Love this place!

If you get a chance - and save up some money cause it ain't cheap - you should come here for brunch!! I promise it'll be worth it! I don't into w how many weddings you've been to in your past but I have been to many more than I've wanted to! For the most part it's crappy food, shitty Muzak and boring!! THIS WAS ANYTHING BUT!! When I arrived I noticed that everyone was really nice...even the guests / members. The 2nd floor is amazing! The views from practically every angle is breathtaking. And here's the surprise...the food was REALLY GOOD!! The salmon was some of the best cooked salmon I've had in recent memory. Yes...THAT GOOD!! I also had the Tri Tip. It was also surprisingly delicious and tender. The horseradish was spicy! The food table awesome: Tri Tip, Grilled Chicken Breast, Spinach blend, mixed greens day: Grilled Salmon w Butter Sauce, artichokes, roasted beets, Feta cheese, Cornichons, Rice Pilaf, Steamed Vegetables, and dinner rolls. And they serve COKE - instead of Pepsi. I was attending a wedding with people from all over the country...and it was good - REAL GOOD! The DJ played 80's music and had everyone up and dancing! Come down. Spend a little more. Make some great memories! Don't miss the patio after the Alyssa Llll If you like what I laid down...let me know!! PCYC Ladies Auxiliary Holiday Boutique Returns November 12 & 13

For the first time since 2019, the Pass Christian Yacht Club’s Ladies Auxiliary will, once again, host their very popular, two-day Holiday Boutique on Friday, Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.  and Saturday, Nov. 13, 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., at the West Harrison Civic Center (Espy Center), 4670 Espy Ave. in Long Beach, MS. The boutique will feature 30 different shops and artisans from around the region, offering hundreds of unique gift ideas. Santa will be there on Nov. 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“This is the 25 th Holiday Boutique our Auxiliary has hosted,” said event chairwoman Miliss Christman. “Last year, we had to cancel because of the coronavirus. So, everyone is really excited to see the return of this much-anticipated event. This year, the boutique will be held in the Espy Center, which provides a much larger space for our customers to shop and plenty of free parking. Even so, we kept the admission fee to $5, the same as in years past.”

Gifts for sale include many one-of-a-kind items such as handcrafted jewelry, blown glass, charcuterie boards, antique linens, pottery and original art, including oyster shell art. To help you celebrate the holidays, vendors will also sell distinctive ornaments, holiday greens and blooms, home décor, stylish clothing, embroidery, soaps, flavored oils and vinegars, Cutco knives, even homemade entrees. In addition, a large assortment of books and other, more traditional gifts will be sold. 

“Locals keep asking about this year’s boutique,” said Christman. “Well, we are back and in a strong way. Our vendors are outdoing themselves, offering very special, quality merchandise.”
