A must on Belgrade's tour list. Chilled out place with amazing music, often a DJ that the cool crowd of all ages frequents. Marina or Sv Nikola or Nidza, as the locals refer to it, is a cult place since the 90's where you will... find interesting intellectual and arty people that come here to relax and be themselves. It is a measurement tool used to assess the locals - if they don't know of this place, you probably don't want to know them. Highly recommended!!!! More

One of these places you are feeling like at home. Atmosphere is nice, people are relaxed, food is good and prices are very affordable. What do you need more?

If you wanna relax and you don't like to much laud places then this is a perfect place for you. Food is awesome.

So relex but also littlebit dirty. And also very expensive for that 'underground' place.. One beer was almost 4 euros More

One of the places to visit in Zemun would definitely be Marina Sveti Nikola. Friendly, cozy, laid back. Was there in winter, looking forward to coming here on some summer evening.

If you are craving sea food delish in the middle of winter - this is a place to be! Shrimps, sea bass, mussels and other summer delights are actually best while snowing. :)

For quite some time "St Nikolas" is one of the best place for stress release and relaxation. I grew up by the river and by my opinion this is one beautiful place for spending tim with friends and family.

the food was next level, really this was one of the happiest accidents I've ever had!! my regards to the chef because in that kitchen there are some serious miracles happening......super recommended!! the vibe was also great it made my day :)

We were sitting as far as possible into the river. The service was excellent. And falafel was offered as the option for vegetarians.

Splav je moguće iznajmiti i usidren na nekoj od naših marina od 13:00 do 03:00 cena za to je 60 000 din, u tom slučaju vožnja se doplaćuje i nije uključena u cenu.

Dockominiums—condos with docks—were all the rage 15 years ago. Since then, the concept has evolved into more exclusive access for yacht owners. This second wave of upscale residences, which provide slip spaces to a homeowner’s or visitor’s private yachts, has grown across the US, Caribbean and Europe, now including marinas that accommodate superyachts. They range from little hideaway islands in the Bahamas to Miami-area neighborhoods to an exclusive island retreats, or a five-star resort with oceanfront mansions in untouched areas of the Dominican Republic. Here are seven of the world’s finest, offering the best possible form of pier pressure.

Casa de Campo — Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic is often highlighted for its golfing facilities, but the Casa de Campo resort and villas place it squarely on the yachting map. No less than seven restaurants are joined by a yacht marina, equestrian center featuring polo, shooting course, shops and three private white-sand beaches. Serving the needs of both couples and large groups of friends, the island villas range from four to 10-bedroom accommodation, each with private butler service. Taking its inspiration from Mediterranean fishing villages, the yachting marina, prized for its proximity to the oceanfront properties, is especially sought after by sport fishermen who flock to the ocean playground. Here, in 2019, the largest yellowfin tuna ever was caught, weighing in at 480 pounds. 

The Ritz-Carlton Maldives — Fari Islands

In the North Malé Atoll of the Maldives, just a 45-minute journey by speedboat or a 10-minute seaplane flight from Malé International Airport, are the Fari Islands. Here, yacht owners can cruise the remote atolls before dropping anchor at Ritz-Carlton Maldives and stepping from deck to villa surrounded by the Indian Ocean. The service experience extends to an island butler and a full suite of fitness and recreational facilities. Neatly tucked next to the famed Tobago Cays, nestled among the 32 islands of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Canouan Island is a yachting destination that flies under the tourism radar. Less than 20 miles south of Mustique and 110 miles west of Barbados, the three square-mile island is surrounded by coves, beaches, one of the Caribbean’s largest coral reefs and the 120-berth Glossy Bay Marina. Accommodating deep draft boats up to 328-foot in length, the marina sits conveniently next to waterfront residences at the Sandy Lane Yacht Club. One to three-bed suites and two to three-bed villas are available to those wishing to arrive, drop anchor and sink straight into island life. Over Yonder Cay — Bahamas

Porto Montenegro — Montenegro

The nautical village with its residential waterfront at Porto Montenegro makes yacht ownership as easy as parking a car. Dropping anchor outside your private residence has never been so simple. “The perk of having a private, long-term, berth in the marina suits because the yacht owner can have their boat parked just a few feet from their apartment’s terrace,” Porto Montenegro’s Danilo Kalezic told Robb Report. Set in the heart of the UNESCO-protected Boka Bay and supported by a private concierge service, it’s well placed for those looking to navigate the picturesque Adriatic peninsula.

Fairhaven — Miami

Hugging the shoreline of Biscayne Bay, Coconut Grove is a leafy neighborhood with relaxed sidewalk cafes and shops. In the tree-lined Fairhaven district, this waterfront four-bedroom Pacaso home brings yachting into the mix with 50 feet of water frontage, a private dock and direct ocean access. That’s Yacht All: Marina Architecture Is In

When it comes to designing a marina, there is literally a world of inspiration to take from. The functions of a marina are basic and form the building blocks of some interesting designs.

From UNStudio’s Keppel Cove Marina in China, which is itself designed to look like a yacht, to Marina di Portofino on the Italian Riviera, which has maintained its minimal number of berths since its inception to give the traditional marina feel, to the Porto Montenegro Marina, which may just be the most luxurious marina in the world, to the historic nature of St Katharine Docks in London that witnessed so many events throughout its time as a trading port. Each marina offers something different from the designer and adds something interesting to the marinas the world has to show.

UNStudio’s Keppel Cove Marina

In Zhongshan, China, the concept of marina architecture and yacht architecture have been neatly blended when it comes to the design of Keppel Cove Marina. Designed by UNStudio, the waterfront clubhouse that is home to a host of naval activities was designed to resemble another maritime pastime: a yacht. The banks of the Xi River plays host to the spectacle, which gives the impression to visitors and passers-by through the wood panelling effects and the bronze exterior of high-quality yachts and boats.

The building has both land and waterside faces, which offer different designs in order to showcase the reason that they are there. The landward offers a huge sculptural tangle with no openings, while the waterside is glazed and open. The inspiration came from luxury yachts and the feelings associated with being aboard one.

As Betway explains, luxurious yachts are often a marvel of architecture – the mansions of the ocean. For example, the $55 million Sarastar has its own beach club and silk-textile decor throughout, showing that these are more than just boats. Large grilles and funnels inside of Keppel Cove Marina give the impression of a boat’s inner mechanisms, while vast staircases resemble those on a cruise ship. Overall, the building resembles a beach yacht and shows that the marina and yacht architecture trends can find a perfect harmony.

Porto Montenegro Marina

Once upon a time, the Mediterranean had a shortage of yacht berths. So, Porto Montenegro was born out of Adriatic architecture. A historic naval base, Porto Montenegro was transformed by Lord Jacob Rothschild and Peter Munk – who together have created brands such as Louis Vuitton, Hennessey, Moet, and Barrick Gold.

The site is close to the UNESCO World Heritage site designed to ensure the stewardship of the area for generations to come. The marina was designed by mariners and is complete with 450 berths and contains the world’s largest yacht berth at 250m. 95,000m2 of residential space is also available in the immersive community. The marina’s design is simple and contains a series of walkways that form the basis of the berths.

The expansive vista is a picture of wealth and extravagance and the yachts themselves are part of the design of the full marina. The Porto Montenegro Marina may comprise itself of a traditional marina look, but it does so to put other traditional marinas to shame with the polished perfection it has to offer.

Marina di Portofino

Jumping from 450 berths to just 14 berths, the Italian Riviera’s Marina di Portofino is nestled in a former fishing village and has played host to some of the world’s biggest celebrities. When it comes to marina design, sometimes the simpler is best.

Instead of extravagant reliance on modes of electricity, concierge services, or intricate designs, the Marina di Portofino hides all the mod-cons of a modern marina in the traditional fishing village. Yet, the marina still retains the feel of a traditional property on the Italian Riviera. The berths look out onto the terracotta houses that scream authentic Italy and have come to become part of the Marina di Portofino’s design.

The berths have been used in the past by stars such as Eva Gardner, Marlon Brando, and Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton since the marina’s opening in 1902. Dubbing itself the Eighth Wonder of the World, the Marina di Portofino allows guests to embrace the traditional, while being served by the modern.

St Katharine Docks

London’s very own marina, St Katharina Docks , is located just off the River Thames before the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. The mixed-use development site evokes the nostalgia of the Big Smoke and was once home to the trading port, with spices, rum, materials, and all manner of exotic produce handled on it.

The marina was refurbished in 2017 and can accommodate 170 berths for yachts of 40m. The marina has the honour of the being the sole one to service central London and offers a quaint and sentimental design with stonework and mossy banks. The drawing factor for the marina is the environment it is situated in.

Events and tourist pulls are a stone’s throw away and St Kat’s has developed an edgy attitude to offer almost anything to the weary skipper: from shopping the high street to tasty the latest London food trend. The marina is unlike others in the world due to its proximity to one of the most bustling cities in the world, while it retains the charm and of a Britain long ago.

As long as a marina functions to hold a yacht and a platform onto dry land, the design around it is really up to the architect. You could choose to take inspiration from your environment, attempt to create something truly unique and bizarre, or simply design something workable that builds a strong and loyal yachting community.

As one of the finest sailing and boating destinations globally, the Cayman Islands feature premiere service marinas dedicated to assisting boaters with docking facilities, buying parts and carrying out repairs and general maintenance.

Read on for the procedure of arriving to Cayman via boat (who to notify and what requirements you will need to provide), as well as information on the Island's marinas and marine fuelling stations.

Those intending to visit Grand Cayman via boat can, with advance notice, notify The Barcadere Marina and they can arrange all customs requirements prior to your arrival. Their phone number is (345) 949 3743 or visit their website on www.barcadere.com .

There are four marinas in Grand Cayman, though the Cayman Islands Yacht Club and the Barcadere Marina are more traditional long-term marinas for visiting boats, long-term residents who live on boats or a home for charter boats.

Kaibo Marina is great for a day or weekend trip away, and Harbour House Marina is a full-service maintenance marina (as is the Barcadere Marina) which has very few, if any, long-term dock spaces left available.

The Barcadere Marina

The Barcadere Marina is a world class, award-winning marina located in George Town, right next to the Owen Roberts International Airport.

The Cayman Islands Yacht Club and Marina

Located in Governors Creek on the west side of Grand Cayman, this marina can cater to 166 boats of varying sizes.

Harbour House Marina (HHM)

A full service marine facility at the end of Marina Drive in Prospect. Dealers for Boston Whaler and Sea Ray boats.

Kaibo Restaurant, Beach Bar & Marina

Kaibo Restaurant and Beach Bar offers fantastic beach side dining.

On the North Sound there are three marine fuelling stations – Scotts Landing at the Barcadere Marina, the Cayman Islands Yacht Club and Marina on Governor’s Creek and Harbour House Marina on the West side of the North Sound. All three locations sell gasoline and diesel.

No ethanol gasoline is sold at marinas in Cayman and the only land-based location is at Refuel in the Industrial Park. Tel: (345) 745 3835). Address: 126 Maclendon Drive, Industrial Park, George Town.

Please note that Cayman Islands Law states that all fuel stations must display their fuel prices (within sight of the fuel dispensers) in CI dollars and imperial gallons. However, most marine and mobile fuel providers dispense fuel in US gallons, which is almost exactly 20% less per volume than imperial gallons. Make sure that you are being charged appropriately.

The diesel now being sold in Cayman is ultra-low sulphur diesel. However, it is worth checking which marine fuel stations add a lubricity booster to their fuel to help prevent deposits accumulating in fuel injector pumps.

Scotts Landing, located at the Barcadere Marina, is the Island’s exclusive dealer for ValvTect Marine fuel, which is specially formulated to ensure the best performance from your boat or watercraft but is also ideal for use in generators and will improve the performance of vehicles and other equipment. They are open 7am-7pm, seven days a week, and feature dockside and landside fuel dispensers for your convenience. They guarantee to provide only ultra-low sulphur diesel and premium 93 octane gasoline. The Valvtect additive causes fuel to burn more cleanly, reducing harmful exhaust emissions while cleaning your motor’s fuel system and combustion chambers and it is proven to increase performance and fuel economy by up to 7% in independent testing. It also increases the stability of the fuel and contains extra water dispersants and corrosion guard technology. The diesel additive boosts cetane level and lubricity, making it more suitable for EU diesel engines using the lower cetane US spec diesel available on-Island. Scotts Landing also offers a full-service dockside sewage tank pump-out service for boats.
