It was 2002 in the Netherlands when entrepreneur and sailor, Sietse Koopmans, founded Zeelander Yachts. After years of his own personal boating, he decided to perfect a high-quality, cutting-edge, sports cruiser design of his very own! After six years of intensive study and research, in 2008, Sietse launched its Z44 with much applause at the Monaco Yacht Show and held many captive eyeing what they had never seen done with a 44 footer —the envy of even some of the mega yachts as this little beauty was taking attention away from them! Thirty Z44s were sold over the next few years, despite the economic recession the world was experiencing. It’s stunning lines combined with a silent and smooth ride was attracting owner after owner. It was coined as THE Luxury Lobster Boat around. The US market was excited to bring her over and after three years grabbed onto the trend along with Europe. Zeelander Yachts knew it was time to step it up in size after the Z44’s grand success and in November of 2015, the Z55 was born.

What would make for a real innovative looking boat, Zeelander, asked themselves and the customers on the docks and all concurred —one with smooth curves and classic lines topped off with elegant class. There isn’t anything left out that had worked before, as they’ve steered closely to ensure the Z44 keeps with traditional craftsmanship, yet does not leave out any of what modern technology now has to offer.

Curves, curves and more curves…mmmmmnnmmm… the type of curves that require 42 different molds. With double curved windows in the hull, all eyes will have no break in following the curved lines throughout. Offering it’s discerning owners a rest-assured ease in operating her with a high bow that provides protection against high seas and it’s double chines deflect the waves to keep everyone aboard nice and dry.

Keeping her speed to 35 knots, instead of its competitors 40 knots, was intentional to prevent slamming in the waves. Her joystick system is just that - a joy - as it will enable anyone the capability to run and dock her with the greatest of ease.

The Zeelander Z72 is largest yacht to date of Zeelander Yachts, a leading Dutch shipyard that creates high-end motor yachts with an elegant New York commuter-style profile and excellent performance.

Zeelander Yachts is specialized in building small superyachts. During the last 17 years, the shipyard has provided yachts with the highest degree of design, function and construction detail. Years of experience combined with the needs of today are behind the development of the newest and largest member in the Zeelander family. The Z72 is an exceptional flagship that combines superyacht-design features and finish levels with Zeelander’s noteworthy profile.

The three stateroom layout with three heads is very comfortable and spacious. A king in the forward master stateroom with a large closet and large ensuite head satisfies even the most demanding.

Two guest staterooms with queen berths and sizable ensuite heads will satisfy anyone. One of the queen berths splits to make two singles.

The main deck is split in to three entertaining areas. 1. The aft deck has a large table with wrap around seating. 2. Forward of the aft deck is the bar with stools for three. 3. The main salon and galley are forward of the bar. The window separating the bar and the galley goes down and opens up the space and creates a light and airy feeling through out the yacht. The main salon has a large table and wrap around seating.

Forward of the main salon is the impressive pilot station. 

The transom opens and creates a large platform for any water sports or simply lounging in the sun.

On the starboard side a water tight door opens to allow access to the tender garage.The tender is launched easily by one person.

Zeelander Z55 For Sale

This Dutch-built Zeelander Z55 listed with Atlantic Yacht and Ship at an asking price of $1.745 million looks like a little ship. From its proud bow to its robust, heavy-duty hardware, this express cruiser seems ready to roam.

And roam it can. Power is a pair of 900 hp Volvo Penta IPS1200 diesels that reportedly gives this 55-footer a 32-knot cruise speed and a 38-knot top hop.

Fancy , as this Z55 is called , is all about connecting guests on board to sea and each other. Nearly 360 degrees of glass create a constant connection to the sea, bring in light to the salon and helm and provide unobstructed sightlines for the skipper. Need more natural light? There is a retractable sunroof over the helm and dinette. 

Additionally, the aft galley has a cockpit-facing window that retracts eliminating barriers between inside and outside. An awning extending from the yacht’s hardtop shades guests sitting on the four stools at the cockpit’s galley-facing countertop.  Outside guests can belly up to the counter and enjoy a beverage while chatting it up with the chef/bartender. The galley is ready for meal and cocktail prep with an L-shaped countertop, a sink, an electric cooktop, a refrigerator and a microwave.

Hi-lo tables allow the lounge areas in the salon and the cockpit to double as dining locations. In the cockpit, abaft the aforementioned bar seating, are four sections of settees surrounding a hi-lo table that seats eight. The salon has an L-shaped dinette to port, abaft the two-seat helm station. However, the two helm chairs swivel to form additional dinette seating.

For guests looking to catch some sun, the foredeck has a two-person sun pad.

Looking for water toys? An electronically operated hatch to port positioned just abaft amidships opens to stow and launch a tender and water toys. An electric winch helps with operation. A 10-foot Williams tender is included in the sale.

Where to Buy a Home in Moscow in 2024

The growth in suburban house prices in 2021 can be as high as 15%. This prognosis was voiced by the participants of Moscow’s real estate market. Housing near Moscow has already gone up in value by 7%, and before the end of the year, this number is quite likely to rise by another 2–3%. The pandemic has changed the trends on the suburban real estate market – the current demand for detached houses is noticeably higher than before the global outbreak of Covid-19, and this naturally influences the cost of residential homes, say the experts. They also note that traditionally, the fall-winter period has always been considered a time of low demand for houses for sale in Russia; however, the opposite is now the case.

Here are the Moscow real estate categories to consider when buying a house in Russia:

• By direction and location (Rublyovka, Novaya Riga, Barvikha);
• By classification ( luxury , business class, economy);
• By development format (townhouses, detached private homes).

When purchasing homes in Moscow, Russia, a good rule of thumb is to select houses within an 18.6-mile (30 km) radius from the center of Moscow. This ensures you will get a well-developed infrastructure, and that the chosen location will be replete with hospitals and schools.

We recommend considering the West, South and North directions just out of Moscow. You may notice that country houses are noticeably cheaper on the capital’s Eastern side. However, this is due to poor environmental conditions – the result of the presence of a number of industrial facilities in the entire East area.

Best Cottage Communities in Moscow

Muscovites with high incomes live in closed elite cottage communities that have their own full infrastructure. Such cottage communities are usually designed by Europe’s best architects, especially contracted for the job. These locations have everything: private English schools, restaurants, shops, pools and gyms, beauty salons and equestrian sports clubs.

The most expensive houses up for sale are located in the Barvikha Hills area (Rublevka direction). The least expensive house here costs 1.5 million US dollars and has a floor area of 656 sqft (200 m²). This gated community is just 10-20 minutes by car away from Moscow itself.

We encourage you to consider some of the following elite locations as you decide where to purchase your ideal property: Etude Family Club, La-Mansh, Western Residence, Yusupovo Life Park, Odintsovo, Novaya Riga and Pirogovo. There you will find everything one requires for a comfortable life, at the price of 300 to 500 thousand US dollars for a residential home.
