Maxing out at 12 people per cruise, Calypso Cruises is best for small groups and intimate outings. Cruises last 3-5+ hours depending on which package you select.

I’ve gone on the Calypso snorkel cruise several times and it’s always one of the highlights. Captain Nick takes you to beautiful coral reefs around the island where you can see tropical fish and incredible shipwrecks in the crystal clear waters off the Barbados coastline. Plus, the food is amazing! The snorkel tour includes a premium bar (with some dangerously good signature cocktails) and a Bajan lunch buffet, complete with macaroni pie and other local favorites!

I live in Barbados and have always gone on the very big catamarans. No more. I am a convert to this particular boat. The staff were amazing. Due to the fact that it is not one of the very large boats my friends and I did not have to deal with loads of other people on the boat. It was heaven. It felt like a private charter even though it was not. I highly recommend this boat.

Nick, Luca and Akim made our day out w Calypso cruises the highlight of our vacation. Whether swimming w the turtles, seeing the shipwrecks or just relaxing on the boat the calypso crew attends to every detail. It is pure fun from start to finish. And of course the pick up and drop off by Sean makes the day even easier. It is a much smaller group than some of the other boats running at the same time and everyone is just so friendly. It’s Barbados at its finest.

We sail with limited numbers (max 14) to ensure a more personal and intimate experience. Our 5 hour tour includes pick up from your hotel/resort/ship, snorkeling with the turtles, ship wreck or reef and a leisurely lunch stop. We provide snorkeling gear, noodles and all your refreshments.

There is coffee, tea and light snacks to start the morning – including Bloody Caesars if you are so bold. Hors d’oeurves while we sail and a full Bajan buffet lunch of local fish, baked chicken, macaroni pie, pasta salad, potato salad, tossed salad and dinner rolls / garlic bread, followed by delicious desserts.

The crew operates an open bar throughout the cruise to keep you hydrated and relaxed. We serve a premium bar, wine, rum punch, coffee, tea, juices and soft drinks – we will bring you drinks to wherever you are on the boat!

Hotel Guests:

24 hours or less: No Refund

48 hours or less: 50% Cancellation Fee

96 hours or less: 25% Cancellation Fee

96+ hours: Full Refund

Shore Excursions:

96 hours or more: Full Refund

Less than 96 hours: No Refund

60 days prior to tour date: Full Refund

45 days prior to tour date: 50% Cancellation Fee

30 days prior to tour date: 75% Cancellation fee

Less than 30 days prior to tour date: No Refund

All cancellations of, or changes are subject to applicable restrictions. Island Routes Tours will apply any payments made toward the purchase price against any cancellation charges and will refund any balance remaining after the payment of any charges. Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours, and the hotel, do not operate the tours, and for these purposes, the Operators of tours are independent contractors. The Operators of tours are solely responsible for their acts and omissions and Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours, and the hotel, assume no responsibility for such acts and omissions, or for any injury, loss, damage, sickness or accidents sustained on any of the tours offered for sale , including but not limited to any that occur on and/or during the tour, as well as before and after as part of and/or during transport to/from the tour ‐ again, to the exclusion of tours identified as being owned by Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours. Guest HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES that Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours, and the hotel, their parent corporation, affiliates, subsidiaries, insurers, directors, officers, employees, successors, assigns, agents or representatives, SHALL NOT BE LIABLE to Guest for liabilities, claims, actions, damages, cost or expense in any circumstances, for: (A) ANY PERSONAL INJURIES OR PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING OUT OF OR CAUSED BY ANY ACT OR OMISSION ON THE PART OF ANY Guest(s) and/or Operators of tours, excluding tours identified as being owned by Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours; (B) EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, MENTAL SUFFERING, OR PSYCHOLOGICAL INJURY OF ANY KIND; OR (C) ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES. This specifically includes but is not limited to liabilities, claims, actions, damages, cost or expense ARISING OUT OF OR CAUSED BY food or drink consumed at third party facilities belonging to third party Operators of tours.

SPECIAL REQUESTS

Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours cannot guarantee that it will satisfy special requests and we are not responsible if such requests are not met.

PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

Persons with Disabilities: Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours cannot guarantee that transfer vehicles or tour sites are wheelchair accessible. However, if informed, we will endeavor to make the necessary arrangements. This may however come at an additional cost.

USE OF GUEST'S LIKENESS

The undersigned Guest(s) irrevocably consents to and authorizes the use and reproduction by Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes, or anyone authorized by Island Routes, of any and all photographic, video and other visual portrayal(s) of the undersigned Guest(s), their child or ward, for any purpose whatsoever, including but not limited to use in magazines, brochures, flyers, television, internet, and websites displays without further reference or compensation. All rights, title and interest therein (including all worldwide copyrights therein) shall be the sole property of Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes, or anyone authorized by Island Routes, free from any claims by the undersigned Guest(s) and or any person deriving any rights or interest from such Guest, AND each undersigned Guest(s) UNDERSTANDS AND HEREBY KNOWINGLY AND VOLUNTARILY SO AGREES.

COMPLIANCE WITH LOCAL LAW

Guest is responsible for knowing, obeying and complying with the laws and regulations of their destination, and neither Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours, nor any Tour Supplier, nor the hotel, has any duty to inform or warn Guest about the destination's laws and/or regulations.

This agreement is governed by the laws of Jamaica. You hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of courts in Jamaica, in all disputes arising out of or relating to the use of this Website. Use of this Website is unauthorized in any jurisdiction that does not give effect to all provisions of these terms and conditions, including, without limitation, this paragraph.

You agree that no joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship exists between you and Island Routes Caribbean Adventures as a result of this agreement or use of this Web site.

Yes, towels are provided for your convenience during your charter.

Yes, we offer a range of snorkel equipment. Masks, Snorkels, and flippers. Please note flippers are limited to certain snorkel areas. Additionally, we recommend communicating your shoe size to ensure your flipper size is available.

Yes, children are allowed on all our charters. There is no minimum age as we are a family-oriented excursion. We do ask for children to always be supervised by an adult of the charter party.

At the moment, we do not require a deposit. However, to secure your booking, we will need a completed credit card authorization form, following our cancellation policies. Payment is due on the day of the charter and can be made in cash, Visa, or Mastercard with assistance from our staff to ensure a smooth transaction.

Once we have identified your preferred charter experience, we will require the below to confirm/guarantee your booking:

• Confirmation of starting time and boarding location
• Selection of cuisine and bar. Please include dietary requirements. 
• Submission of credit authorization form/deposit
• Any other info to help us curate an exceptional experience

Smoking in public places is against the law in Barbados. Smoking of cigarettes will be permitted only in designated areas. No cigars or Hookah permitted. Please note that in Barbados, vaping is regarded in the same way as smoking.

Guests are invited to leave a gratuity at the end of their cruise if they believe the service they received to be exceptional. Gratuities are then distributed equally amongst the crew.

• Catamarans offer 2 paddle boards each, floating sunchill and snorkel gear.
• Pardo Power boats offer paddle boards on request, floating sunchill and snorkel gear.
• Searenity offers snorkel gear, and mable for towing fun!
• Guests may enhance their experience with SEABOB rental/addition.
• Jet skis and other watersports may be coordinated with 3rd party suppliers - terms/conditions apply.

All catamaran charters generally  require clients to include Seaduced cuisine and bar packages. Power boat charters may include bar only packages.

Taxi transfers can be arranged if required at surcharge

We can allow beach boarding from certain West Coast beaches. For the Catamarans and Pardos a tender is used to transfer guests from the beach to the boat. This style of boarding is not recommended for guests with mobility challenges, expectant mothers, or those with infants. Guests must ensure everyone in the party is fit for this style of boarding as it does require stepping into the tender, and a step up from the tender to the boat which can be slightly unstable.

For Searenity, beach boarding can result in above the knees being wet and guests must ensure everyone is fit for this style of boarding as it can require a high step up onto boat, balance and strength. This style of boarding is not recommended for guests with any mobility challenges, expectant mothers, or those with infants.

No shoes of any kind will be permitted on our vessels unless certain conditions apply and are approved by the company.

Whilst we love animals, unfortunately No pets allowed.

Please note, a fee of 25% of the total cost of charter is charged if you cancel 10 days prior to your scheduled cruise.  This fee is adjusted to 50% of the total cost of the charter and charged if you cancel less than 5 days prior to your scheduled cruise. Cancellation within 48 hours of your scheduled cruise will result in a 100% penalty equivalent to the total cost of your cruise. In the event of you incurring a cancellation fee, should Seaduced Luxury Charters manage to rebook your slot, a 100% refund will be applicable to you of that cancellation fee.

Should weather not be ideal for sailing on the day of your cruise (rain forecasted for most of your cruise or unfavorable seas) we will offer you the option to reschedule to a mutually convenient date. If guests cannot reschedule, Seaduced will offer a cancellation without penalty. Only Seaduced has the authority to cancel/reschedule due to weather. Overcast skies, or scattered showers will not justify cancellation. Please note we would not sail if we anticipate conditions to be unfavorable. We make decisions with the interest of you, our clients in mind, using all forecasting tools available to us as the customer experience is paramount to us!

Explore life beneath the waves as you get a chance to snorkel and swim with the beautiful sea turtles in their natural habitat. Visiting the shipwreck or coral reef, you will also have the opportunity to swim with many varieties of tropical fish.

This year though, we thought we'd try the sunset cruise. You don't get quite as much time on board as you do with the lunch time cruise, but the trip is none the less because of it. In fact for us, it was better. You get the same excellent food and drinks, the same warm, friendly service. Our Captain, Ben, who knows these waters oh-so-well, will always find the right spot away from the crowds if possible to maximise the chances of spotting turtles and other marine life. Lee was an excellent instructor in donning our snorkel gear and had a lot of knowledge of the wrecks we visited and the drinks we asked for! And not forgetting Peter who kept us fed with a seemingly never-ending supply of delicious finger food! Of course, another advantage of the sunset cruise is, as the title says, you get to see some great sunsets and it's difficult to describe how calming it feels as you glide over the waters under-sail just gazing into the setting sun and taking in the expansive scenery. The crew were wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The food was great and plentiful. The snorkelling was not rushed (something that we have found with other companies). Overall a fantastic way to spend the afternoon, would highly recommend. The staff are amazing and attentive, you never have an empty glass. The food was excellent. The boat feels spacious with plenty of sun and shade. From start to finish, it was a wonderful experience especially for our 4 teenagers. The crew was attentive and fun. The catamaran was clean and spacious for the total group of 12. We had lovely cocktails plus enough food to feed an army. This was great after snorkeling as everyone was hungry. The fried fish cakes and chicken fingers were a huge hit. The sunset as we drove back to Bridgetown was magical. I would highly recommend this charter as we had zero issues at all. I am not a seasoned swimmer and Rolf took time with me to make sure I was safely attended to while snorkeling. This cruise was definitely one of the highlights of our vacation. The food and drinks were excellent and abundant, while snorkeling we saw many fish and turtles, the sunset was beautiful and I saw the "green glow". The crew was informative and the captain has the best sense of humor but with safety being the primary goal. P.S. Look out for cheap imitations. I've been on many catamarans in Barbados whilst I've lived here the last 2 years and Calabaza is my favourite by a mile, it's bigger than most small group boats (max 13 ppl), and they keep the inside clean with a strict dry zone area (other catamarans Ive been on that dont have this in place really smell bad especially in the toilets) the boat itself is very well maintained, it looks new. The boat crew are great and I love them, I have encountered this on all boats, the people of barbados are just very naturally kind and attentive people, especially when in the service industry, but what didn't stop was the food! They say this on other websites with other boats...but its just a few snacks. I go on the sunset cruise where its not dinner "just snacks" but omg, it never stopped! Other boats have lovely food but maybe 3 or 4 things come out after you snorkel. Calabaza is different, we didn't need dinner after that and they catered to vegetarians and a gulten free members on the boat with their own separate dishes...on other catamarans they just tell me (as a veggie) which things I can't have, but they don't have a substitute. Not only were there substitutes they were delicious!! Not just, "we'll take the chicken out" at least 9 different "snacks". And they ALWAYS make sure you have a drink in your hand...if you want one! If it's getting low you know they'll be there, not all boats are that attentive as the Calabaza crew. Some drinks blew over with the wind and straight away one crew member mopped it up whilst the other made sure the replacement drink was back in the guests hand. And they also check who on the boat had been to different snorkel spots, so they go to one where more people havent been to...I always see more underwater life with Calabaza tour than the others. Sting rays, bat fish, of course turtles and tarpins. We saw flying fish...I didnt know they actually flew!! It was incredible. They play music towards the end on the way back and on the way out its relaxing and you meet the other guests, its not a party boat, but I guess its what you make it! I like to relax. I think they really get the mood right, once everyone has met and had some banter the music plays on the way back and its just perfect, they've really nailed it! Calabaza is another world!
