Club Med 2 Is Back With New Elevated Amenities And Exciting Destinations

The world’s largest sailing yacht has undergone a $10 million renovation with luxury and experiences befitting the spirit of the french riviera..

A view of the Club Med 2 luxury sailing yacht from a beach.

What's better than sitting outside a French café and enjoying the breeze with a brie-topped baguette while sipping on a glass of fine champagne? Doing it all while sitting on the world's largest sailing ship powered by the wind and your own sense of wanderlust.

Just board Clu b Med 's newly refurbished Club Med 2 sailing yacht and experience it for yourself. Following a recent $10 million upgrade, guests can now enjoy an intimate small ship sailing experience with premium service, stopping at some of the world's most luxurious ports. The yacht's small size—at just 187 meters—and its shallow draft allow it to access ports and historic city centers that large ships are unable to visit, like Virgin Gorda and Venice.

About the Club Med 2

An aerial drone’s eye view of the Club Med 2 luxury sailing yacht on the open water.

Sailing since 1992, Club Med 2's latest update starts with a refinishing of its 2,700-square meters of Burmese teak decking. The five masts support the impressive 185-square meters of sails that can reduce the ship's power usage by up to 30 percent when the wind cooperates. Sails are computerized and, on the last night, they're raised to the grandiose sounds of Vangelis' "1492: Conquest of Paradise," as guests cheer along.

The ship features just 184 passenger cabins, including 10 suites and one owner's suite (240 square meters of pure luxury), that add to the intimacy of guests' experience onboard. There are no indoor cabins so all passengers can wake up to a view of the ocean. The level of service is at a premium on the ship with roughly 215 crew members or Gentile Organisers (GOs), an impressive crew-to-guest ratio.

You won't find lines at buffets, guests congregating to get aboard a tender for an excursion— the boats are called Beachers because of their capability to land on the beach—or the hustle to secure a poolside lounger on the Club Med 2. The ship's ambience, open spaces, and plentiful amenities encourage guests to sit back and relax.

On Board the Club Med 2

The deck dining experience and view from the Club Med 2 luxury sailing yacht.

The service and décor on the Club Med 2 are impeccable. As a France-based brand, the majority of guests are French, but the company is aiming to entice more Americans to experience this unique sailing opportunity.

The cabins are surprisingly spacious for such a small ship and have more storage than I find on most large vessels. There are two closets with plenty of drawers in the bureau and in the bathroom for storing clothing and personal items. I especially appreciated the Lavazza Nespresso for my morning jolt of caffeine. In-room dining is also available with a select, but delightful, menu.

The food on board the Club Med 2 is the best I've yet to experience on any ship. Through an exclusive partnership, chefs are trained at Paris's exclusive Ferrandi culinary school, which also created new menus for one of the yacht's two restaurants, Monte Carlo. One hundred percent of cuisine served is made on the ship down to the stocks and bread. Recipes were created to take advantage of fresh fish and produce available in local ports so guests on Caribbean cruises will experience French-tropical fusion while those in the Mediterranean enjoy European-inspired classics. But best of all, there's always a full supply of French breads, cheeses, and wines available.

The Le Cannes dining and bar setting on the Club Med 2 luxury sailing yacht.

The reservations-only Monte Carlo restaurant has enjoyed a complete makeover with nautical antiquities and open spaces that let guests take advantage of panoramic ocean views. The Le Saint Barth and Le Cannes bars are perfect gathering spaces for an afternoon cocktail or the ship's famous high tea. Guests happily partake in the ship's theme nights with festive attire, decor, and entertainment. Every night is a party, albeit civilized, on this ship.

Finally, the Sothys spa is small yet intimate and offers a range of treatments and products for a little added self-indulgence.

Sailings and Destinations

The rear view of the Club Med 2 luxury sailing yacht with a windsurfer following.

Club Med 2 sails in the Caribbean in the winter and the Mediterranean in the summer months. The sailings for the Caribbean often depart from the Dominican Republic's La Romana port with destinations that include the British Virgin Islands, Colombia, and Panama with stops at many popular beach ports. European destinations include the Canary Islands, Iberian coast, Italy, Turkey, and many other great cities.

Club Med is known for its all-inclusive experiences but whether you enjoy mega-ship sailing or small, intimate luxury resorts, the Club Med 2 offers a unique opportunity to sail aboard one of the world's largest and most exclusive yachts.

Club Med's Yacht Will Set Sail After a Multimillion-dollar Renovation This December — With a 14-day Transatlantic Trip

And yes, the cruises are, of course, all-inclusive.

club med catamaran zeilen

Courtesy of Club Med

If you thought Club Med was limited to all-inclusive resorts on land, you'd be mistaken. The famed French travel brand also owns a five-masted sailing yacht that offers an all-inclusive experience on the high seas.

Part of the luxurious Club Med Exclusive Collection, the Club Med 2 is set to relaunch in December 2022 after a multimillion-dollar renovation — the ship's first since 2008. The schooner's interiors are getting quite a chromatic makeover that reflects the bright colors found across the Mediterranean Sea, the namesake of the ship and its parent company. And on the outside, the teak decks and the sails will be brand new. The Club Med 2 set sail again last summer, after a COVID-19-forced hiatus, but is offline this fall while the extensive renovation is completed.

While the Club Med 2 will sail on the Mediterranean in the summer, she'll head for the Caribbean in the winter. In both destinations, the ship's small size of just 597 feet in length allows her to make port in more exclusive destinations that are inaccessible to larger ships, such as Tobago Cays in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

But her small size doesn't mean she lacks in amenities. The Club Med 2 has a slew of bars and restaurants, including a reimagined Le Monte Carlo, which now has space for live culinary demonstrations, as well as a brand-new Club Med Spa by French beauty brand Sothys. The wellness center will not only offer traditional spa treatments, but also wellness programs like yoga classes on the sun deck. There's also a kids' club, two pools, and water sports equipment for windsurfing, paddleboarding, and sailing on a mini sailboat called the Hobie Eclipse.

The ship is, however, still quite intimate, with just 184 cabins, including the spacious Armateur Suite with a separate living area.

In following the Club Med ethos, sailings on the Club Med 2 are indeed all-inclusive, covering all-day dining, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, unlimited land and water sports (including guided snorkeling), Wi-Fi, gratuity, and entertainment.

Her first sailing in December will be a 14-night transatlantic trip from Lisbon to Martinique, after which she'll cruise the Caribbean through the end of March before returning to the Mediterranean. You can book a sailing aboard the newly refreshed Club Med 2 here .

Club Med 2 Review

Review of club med 2.

The 1992-built yacht Club Med 2 is a modern sailing cruise ship owned by Club Med Cruises. The vessel is marketed as "cruise ship" (mega-yacht) and is powered by 7x computer-controlled sails combined with traditional diesel-electric propulsion (4x diesel generators power 2x electric motors).

History - construction and ownership

The 400-passenger ship Club Med 2 is owned and operated by Club Med SA (fka Club Mediterranee) - a French corporation (part of Fosun Group) specializing in premium all-inclusive vacation packages to its privately-owned resorts worldwide. Club Med 2's sistership (Club Med 1) was bought by Windstar Cruises and renamed Wind Surf (1998).

The shipowner Fosun Group (officially Fosun International Ltd) is a 1992-founded, Shanghai -headquartered Chinese holding company incorporated in Hong Kong in December 2004. The 5-masted Club Med 2 is a computer-controlled schooner and one of the world's biggest sailing ships. The vessel was completely drydock reconstructed in 1996, its interior was totally redesigned in 2008, and was last refurbished in 2022 (read the refurbishment's review in the Wiki section ).

Refurbishment 2022 review

The multimillion drydock 2022 refit and refurbishment was completed in December 2022. The project included redesigning and complete renovation of all venues (restaurants, bars, lounges, wellness facilities) and staterooms with new furniture and amenities.

The Gym was fitted with new cardio equipment, soft lighting, soundproof flooring. Club Med Spa by Sothys was upgraded with new treatments and exercise programming (including outdoor yoga classes on the sundeck).

Le Magellan Restaurant's enhancements include live cooking demonstrations and new menus developed by Ferrandi Paris (French culinary arts school also specializing in hospitality management). The boat's 5 sails were remodeled.

Club Med 2's previous major drydock refit was conducted in 2008.

MIAMI — What’s new for Club Med in 2023? A whole lot.

The company has announced an array of new developments launching over the next year, including ski resort openings in the French Alps and Japan, a reimagined luxury French sailing yacht, plus renovations in Punta Cana. The brand also announced a new sale offering up to 45% off all-inclusive getaways and perks.

NEW MOUNTAIN RESORTS

Club Med will debut three all-inclusive mountain resorts this winter, bringing its total to more than 20 mountain resorts throughout Canada, the Alps and Asia. The all-inclusive ski experience includes ski lessons, lift tickets, unlimited food and beverages, Children’s Clubs, apres-ski activities, entertainment and more.

Club Med Kiroro Peak

The three new resorts lead the way for the brand’s forthcoming all-inclusive mountain resort opening in Utah in 2025, marking its first resort in the United States in more than 20 years, as well as the first-ever Exclusive Collection (5-star) mountain resort in North America. The three new mountain resorts include:

  • Club Med Tignes (French Alps): Opening Dec. 4, 2022, Tignes Val Claret, one of the Alps’ most popular ski destinations with one of the longest ski seasons, has been home to Club Med since 1958. Following a full resort renovation, the brand new Club Med Tignes will reopen in the center of the liveliest part of town and will feature 430 rooms, including 25 Exclusive Collection (5-star) suites, ski-in/ski-out access, two restaurants with international cuisine, a full-service spa and restorative salt wall, the largest indoor heated pool in the Alps, Children’s Clubs, and a ski domain suitable for every level with activities like group ski lessons, snowboarding and snowmobiling.
  • Club Med Val d’Isère (French Alps): Opening Dec. 17, 2022, Club Med Val d’Isère is undergoing a complete transformation and will reopen as the brand’s first Exclusive Collection (5-star) mountain resort. Located in the Tarentaise Valley at an altitude of 6,070 feet, it boasts 216 redesigned Deluxe and Suite rooms with balconies, unlimited ski-in/ski-out access, elevated gourmet dining, Children’s Clubs, an indoor swimming pool, and wellness programming inclusive of a full-service spa and yoga experiences.
  • Club Med Kiroro Peak (Hokkaido, Japan): Opening Dec. 15, 2022, Club Med’s newest four-season mountain resort in Asia offers 400 rooms and a one-of-a-kind snow resort experience, complete with some of the best champagne powder snow in the world. Other highlights include unlimited ski-in/ski-out access to 23 slopes, snowboarding lessons, group skiing, snowshoe hikes, a dedicated kid’s zone with Children’s Clubs, and art gallery.

CLUB MED 2 SAILING YACHT

After a multimillion-dollar refresh, the French sailing yacht Club Med 2 will set sail once again in December 2022. Due to its modest size, guests can explore some of the most exclusive locations around the world including Portofino, Nice and Tobago Cay, with up to 21-day journeys that allow for immersive experiences.

Club Med has new resorts, renovations & reimagined sailing yacht

As part of Club Med’s Exclusive Collection portfolio, this five-masted yacht will feature all-new teak decks and mahogany rails along with outward-facing cabins. Restaurants, lounges and guest corridors will also feature new furniture and décor. Other highlights include two seawater pools, live entertainment, watersports like windsurfing and paddleboarding, and new experiences like Wing Surfing and the Hobie Eclipse Mirage (a standup paddleboard with a steering handlebar). Plus, kids can enjoy Children’s Programs available in the summer and throughout the holiday season, while parents can take advantage of Club Med Spa by Sothys, a new sundeck yoga experience, or indulge at the main restaurant Le Monte-Carlo featuring new seasonal menus.

Beginning winter 2023, Club Med 2 will offer a new all-inclusive Caribbean Beach Club day trip featuring beach activities, watersports, live music and beachside lunch topped with free-flowing champagne and refreshments. The excursion will travel to Isla Catalina, Mayreau and Prickly Pear Island.

PUNTA CANA UPDATES

The brand’s beloved Club Med Punta Cana resort is set for a number of updates in summer 2023, including a new destination wedding venue. Opening July 2023, the new wedding facility, Grupo Bisutti Club Med Punta Cana, will sit alongside the resort’s oceanfront and will feature floor-to-ceiling windows, guest bathrooms, a large banquet kitchen and a bridal suite. The facility can host up to 250 guests and can be divided into three separate spaces, all with access to a 3,982 square-foot covered outdoor terrace.

Ocean Pearl

ocean-pearl-4

Description

Ocean Pearl is a legendary 110ft / 33m maxi-catamaran, formerly known as Club Med, that was launched in 2000 by the Multiplast Yard in Vannes, France, those people behind the Magic Cat yacht and quite a few other speed machines.

At the time, she was the largest catamaran ever constructed in France. That accolade has now passed to the  Hemisphere catamaran , you know the superyacht, but if we are talking about Speed over Ground, I think we all know which boat would come out on top.

The objective? The Race, the first ever non-stop, no-rules, round the world race with a $2m prize. It started on December 31 2000 in Barcelona and was won by NZ skipper Grant Dalton for NZ and his team in 62 days, 6hrs, 56m and 33s. She’s a fully paid up member of our Classic Catamaran club. And some. …

As well as the Race, in 2000, 2001 and 2002, she broke the world speed record for crossing the Atlantic  from east to west – the first two under the name Club Med and the latter as Maiden II. It was this boat and other maxi cats like her that inspired Peter Johnstone to develop the Gunboat 62 – the first of a series of iconic performance multihull designs.

She’s currently for sale, see OceanPearl.co for details.

Ocean Pearl is completely made from carbon fibre. Developed by the team of designers of naval architect Giller Ollier, this cat can reach a mid 20s knot cruising speed. She has six cabins and can accommodate twelve, six crew members and six guests.

She’s for sale for just under $2.5m through Bernard Gallay @bgyb.bernardgallay if you fancy the fastest yacht in the bay! She’s had a complete refit with light and comfortable accommodation all carried out by the maxi yacht marina managed by Varador 2000 in the port of Mataró near 🇪🇦 Barcelona.

Why this cat is automatic… It’s systematic… It’s hydromatic…. Why it’s greased lightnin’!

These are the exclusive new Club Med resorts you need to know about

These are the new exclusive collection Club Med resorts you need to know about

Club Med is a name known to us all, evoking scenes of planing catamarans, palm-framed tennis courts and screen-saver beaches dotted with sunset volleyballers at first mention. Now, maintaining its core focus on experience, the all-inclusive brand is inviting travellers to discover a selection of new havens — via the highest tier of its retreat experience.

Club Med’s Exclusive Collection comprises resorts, villas, chalets and a sailing yacht in the world’s most breathtaking destinations. From a private island in the Seychelles to the bucolic foothills of the French Alps, this new range offers something for every kind of traveller—on an equally new level. Families, honeymooners and groups will be spoiled for choice regardless of where they choose to make their escape. Across locations, over 60 types of activities are offered: from serene treetop yoga to scuba diving, or kitesurfing and horse riding along golden coasts, you can fulfil your sense of adventure however you please.

These are the new exclusive collection Club Med resorts you need to know about

Jet off to a secluded Maldivian paradise and hide away in one of Finolhu Villas’ eco-luxury overwater bungalows, where you can spend sun-drenched days floating in the turquoise lagoon from your front door, dine under a star-scattered sky and have a butler tend to your every need. Or take a getaway closer to home in one of the collection’s magnificent European locations: take a Vespa drive along Sicily’s breathtaking cliffs, where the art de vivre-inspired Cefalù Bay resort is a stone’s throw from picturesque seaside villages and the Parco delle Madonie, a UNESCO World Heritage site and hiker’s paradise.

You can also set sail on French yacht the  Club Med 2 and drop anchor by the cinematic cliffs of Crete or Corsica; for an adventure further afield, island hop throughout the Caribbean, from Panama to Grenada, where pristine coastlines and some of the world’s most abundant mangroves await.

Down in Mexico, you can snorkel through the world’s second-largest coral reef in Cancùn’s crystalline waters before decompressing by your own seafront infinity pool and at the guest-favourite Spa by L’Occitane. Or cross continents to the collection’s Moroccan haven La Palmeraie , where you can unwind from the bustle of the souks in the country’s oldest palm grove and stroll down terracotta paths by the hotel’s tree-lined pool on your way to supper.

While each resort and villa has its own distinct sense of place, they are all linked by their ability to appeal to all types of traveller. And they are great for families, too: an array of kids’ clubs catering for  babies to teens ensures parents can relax while their children have adventures of their own, whether  flying on the famed Club Med trapeze or learning about marine life and connecting with the surrounding environment.

With all upgrades comes responsibility and Club Med’s new range is no exception to this. With strong Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainability agendas working together to eliminate single-use plastics and combat food waste, the traditional concept of an all-inclusive is making an important shift. Employing regional staff, maintaining partnerships with local businesses and leading excursions that give guests the opportunity to engage with the cultural, historical and environmental aspects of their getaway, the collection is as immersion-driven as it is conscious of its footprint and community engagement.

And this applies to the cuisine, too: you’ll find international and traditional delicacies that reflect the heart of each location, from Creole specialties in the Seychelles to grilled lobster in the Dominican Republic. Best of all–-for the palate and environment alike–-the produce is locally sourced, so you can wine and dine in a way that tastes and feels good in every sense.

Be it the impossibly blue waters of Michès Playa Esmeralda or to a paradisial Manta Suite in the Maldives’ Kani retreat, Club Med’s Exclusive Collection offers an escape for every generation.

CLUB MED LAUNCHED!

The maxi-catamaran Club Med (33.50 m) was launched on May 8 in front of the Multiplast yard in Vannes, France after a period of construction that lasted 12 months. Philippe Bourguignon, CEO of Club Méditerranée, officially launched this new giant of the seas that will be at the start of the crewed, non-stop race around the world, The Race, which will start on December 31, 2000.

Club Med is the biggest racing catamaran ever built in France. She will start her working up and development program in the next few days in La Trinité-sur-Mer, before heading for Spain at the beginning of June in order to qualify on her first transatlantic, between Cadiz and San Salvador, Bahamas. She will then head for New York in the beginning of July to attack the legendary West-East Atlantic crossing between New York and the Lizard. To win “The Race”!

During his introductory speech, Philippe Bourguignon defined Club Med’s objectives: “Club Med entered The Race with a triple challenge: to build the fastest boat, bring together a top level international crew, and finally to qualify for and win The Race. The first objective has been achieved thanks to the team of the Multiplast yard. The cosmopolitan and multicultural crew is now in place with no less than nine nationalities represented on board. All that remains is to announce the name of the second co-skipper who will be French and a multihull specialist. Finally, we will attempt to qualify as early as the month of June on the Atlantic and continue to train with the objective of winning The Race.” A challenge on the move! The Race is a unique opportunity for Club Med. First of all, because the values of Club Med are close to those of this extraordinary race: pioneering spirit, human adventure, and universality, but also because The Race is an event on a planetary scale. This boat will illustrate the spirit of reconquest and the new adventure of Club Med. It will symbolize its new lease on life and its capacity to innovate.

The construction of this new giant of the seas has just been completed after more than 60,000 man-hours of work. As planned, the crew has been recruited at the highest international level uniting 16 people from nine different nations (France, USA, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Japan, Australia, Spain, Austria and Canada). It is now up to this multicultural crew to qualify, then to beat the legendary Atlantic crossing record, before confronting the best crews in the world on December 31, 2000 in The Race.

Club Med wishes to renew with the spirit that symbolized the great sailing ships of the 18th century which set off to conquer the world on epic voyages of exploration showing off, with pride, their generous figureheads. This figurehead, which has been a little overlooked by “modern” 20th century vessels, is symbolized by a young girl swimmer, projecting values of regeneration, dear to Club Med. The aquatic image of this young woman will appear on the headsails of Club Med and also on the boat’s bows, so that just like a mermaid she will bob through each wave around the world. The overall decoration of the boat is naturally inspired by the turquoise color of the South Seas, complete with multicolored fish, symbolizing the theme of protection of the environment.

Designed around the world’s wind charts On the one hand, the design of a racing boat traditionally relies on statistics and data from preselected transoceanic routes and, on the other hand, on the know-how of the architects in the area of hull design, sail plan, performance polars, etc.

The advance of meteorological and strategic knowledge allow much finer studies linked with real situations that Club Med will meet on her voyage around the world. Using meteorological and oceanographic data, relative to the winds and state of the sea, meteorologist Jean-Yves Bernot has been able to collect pertinent information for optimizing the work carried out by Gille Ollier’s team. On determining the direction and strength of winds to be encountered, and their frequency, he has been able to isolate trends influencing the shape of sails and the body plan of the hulls. Once the parameters were compiled around these initial results, different designs were tested in classic weather situations.

On studying the performance and on reiterating the operation, the results converged towards an optimum design. Consequently, the analysis was able to highlight the critical points of the course, the optimum routes and the duration expected on each point of sailing, to help refine the first designs produced by the Multiplast architects. By dint of studies and consultation, the choice of design options was narrowed down with realistic criteria, supplying as a bonus precious information on strategies to be used during the race. The Race: a “no limits” race around the world. Born out of the passion and determination of French yachtsman Bruno Peyron, The Race is a yacht race around the world with crew, non-stop and without assistance. It will start from Barcelona on December 31, 2000, symbolizing the advent of the Third Millennium.

The course of The Race will circumnavigate the world via the three Capes (Good Hope, Leeuwin and Horn). The crews must previously qualify on the basis of the best times recorded on the Atlantic and/or Pacific crossings. The ambition of The Race is to assemble together the best mariners in the world, sailing on the biggest multihulls ever built. An extraordinary challenge combining the extreme quality of the sport with a strong human and cultural dimension.

With no constraints of size or rule in the design of the boats, the intention of The Race is to promote innovation and the spirit of freedom, thereby favoring creativity in the field of naval architecture.

One of the major objectives of The Race is to interest people from all horizons and all nations and enable them to dream. Also and for the first time, a system for the transmission of TV images will allow the race to be followed on television and the Internet. The event’s potential audience in the world is 6 billion TV viewers and 400 million Internet surfers.

The prize money allocated to the winners will be $2 million. The major partners of the event are to date: France Télécom, Disneyland Paris and La Mission 2000 en France. For more information, see their website: www.clubmed.com.

Moscow’s nightlife scene is thriving, and arguably one of the best the world has to offer – top-notch Russian women, coupled with a never-ending list of venues, Moscow has a little bit of something for everyone’s taste. Moscow nightlife is not for the faint of heart – and if you’re coming, you better be ready to go Friday and Saturday night into the early morning.

This comprehensive guide to Moscow nightlife will run you through the nuts and bolts of all you need to know about Moscow’s nightclubs and give you a solid blueprint to operate with during your time in Moscow.

What you need to know before hitting Moscow nightclubs

Prices in moscow nightlife.

Before you head out and start gaming all the sexy Moscow girls , we have to talk money first. Bring plenty because in Moscow you can never bring a big enough bankroll. Remember, you’re the man so making a fuzz of not paying a drink here or there will not go down well.

Luckily most Moscow clubs don’t do cover fees. Some electro clubs will charge 15-20$, depending on their lineup. There’s the odd club with a minimum spend of 20-30$, which you’ll drop on drinks easily. By and large, you can scope out the venues for free, which is a big plus.

Bottle service is a great deal in Moscow. At top-tier clubs, it starts at 1,000$. That’ll go a long way with premium vodka at 250$, especially if you have three or four guys chipping in. Not to mention that it’s a massive status boost for getting girls, especially at high-end clubs.

Without bottle service, you should estimate a budget of 100-150$ per night. That is if you drink a lot and hit the top clubs with the hottest girls. Scale down for less alcohol and more basic places.

Dress code & Face control

Door policy in Moscow is called “face control” and it’s always the guy behind the two gorillas that gives the green light if you’re in or out.

In Moscow nightlife there’s only one rule when it comes to dress codes:

You can never be underdressed.

People dress A LOT sharper than, say, in the US and that goes for both sexes. For high-end clubs, you definitely want to roll with a sharp blazer and a pocket square, not to mention dress shoes in tip-top condition. Those are the minimum requirements to level the playing field vis a vis with other sharply dressed guys that have a lot more money than you do. Unless you plan to hit explicit electro or underground clubs, which have their own dress code, you are always on the money with that style.

Getting in a Moscow club isn’t as hard as it seems: dress sharp, speak English at the door and look like you’re in the mood to spend all that money that you supposedly have (even if you don’t). That will open almost any door in Moscow’s nightlife for you.

Types of Moscow Nightclubs

In Moscow there are four types of clubs with the accompanying female clientele:

High-end clubs:

These are often crossovers between restaurants and clubs with lots of tables and very little space to dance. Heavy accent on bottle service most of the time but you can work the room from the bar as well. The hottest and most expensive girls in Moscow go there. Bring deep pockets and lots of self-confidence and you have a shot at swooping them.

Regular Mid-level clubs:

They probably resemble more what you’re used to in a nightclub: big dancefloors, stages and more space to roam around. Bottle service will make you stand out more but you can also do well without. You can find all types of girls but most will be in the 6-8 range. Your targets should always be the girls drinking and ideally in pairs. It’s impossible not to swoop if your game is at least half-decent.

Basic clubs/dive bars:

Usually spots with very cheap booze and lax face control. If you’re dressed too sharp and speak no Russian, you might attract the wrong type of attention so be vigilant. If you know the local scene you can swoop 6s and 7s almost at will. Usually students and girls from the suburbs.

Electro/underground clubs:

Home of the hipsters and creatives. Parties there don’t mean meeting girls and getting drunk but doing pills and spacing out to the music. Lots of attractive hipster girls if that is your niche. That is its own scene with a different dress code as well.

What time to go out in Moscow

Moscow nightlife starts late. Don’t show up at bars and preparty spots before 11pm because you’ll feel fairly alone. Peak time is between 1am and 3am. That is also the time of Moscow nightlife’s biggest nuisance: concerts by artists you won’t know and who only distract your girls from drinking and being gamed. From 4am to 6am the regular clubs are emptying out but plenty of people, women included, still hit up one of the many afterparty clubs. Those last till well past 10am.

As far as days go: Fridays and Saturdays are peak days. Thursday is an OK day, all other days are fairly weak and you have to know the right venues.

The Ultimate Moscow Nightclub List

Short disclaimer: I didn’t add basic and electro clubs since you’re coming for the girls, not for the music. This list will give you more options than you’ll be able to handle on a weekend.

Preparty – start here at 11PM

Classic restaurant club with lots of tables and a smallish bar and dancefloor. Come here between 11pm and 12am when the concert is over and they start with the actual party. Even early in the night tons of sexy women here, who lean slightly older (25 and up).

The second floor of the Ugolek restaurant is an extra bar with dim lights and house music tunes. Very small and cozy with a slight hipster vibe but generally draws plenty of attractive women too. A bit slower vibe than Valenok.

Very cool, spread-out venue that has a modern library theme. Not always full with people but when it is, it’s brimming with top-tier women. Slow vibe here and better for grabbing contacts and moving on.

High-end: err on the side of being too early rather than too late because of face control.

Secret Room

Probably the top venue at the moment in Moscow . Very small but wildly popular club, which is crammed with tables but always packed. They do parties on Thursdays and Sundays as well. This club has a hip-hop/high-end theme, meaning most girls are gold diggers, IG models, and tattooed hip hop chicks. Very unfavorable logistics because there is almost no room no move inside the club but the party vibe makes it worth it. Strict face control.

Close to Secret Room and with a much more favorable and spacious three-part layout. This place attracts very hot women but also lots of ball busters and fakes that will leave you blue-balled. Come early because after 4am it starts getting empty fast. Electronic music.

A slightly kitsch restaurant club that plays Russian pop and is full of gold diggers, semi-pros, and men from the Caucasus republics. Thursday is the strongest night but that dynamic might be changing since Secret Room opened its doors. You can swoop here but it will be a struggle.

Mid-level: your sweet spot in terms of ease and attractiveness of girls for an average budget.

Started going downwards in 2018 due to lax face control and this might get even worse with the World Cup. In terms of layout one of the best Moscow nightclubs because it’s very big and bottle service gives you a good edge here. Still attracts lots of cute girls with loose morals but plenty of provincial girls (and guys) as well. Swooping is fairly easy here.

I haven’t been at this place in over a year, ever since it started becoming ground zero for drunken teenagers. Similar clientele to Icon but less chic, younger and drunker. Decent mainstream music that attracts plenty of tourists. Girls are easy here as well.

Sort of a Coyote Ugly (the real one in Moscow sucks) with party music and lots of drunken people licking each others’ faces. Very entertaining with the right amount of alcohol and very easy to pull in there. Don’t think about staying sober in here, you’ll hate it.

Artel Bessonitsa/Shakti Terrace

Electronic music club that is sort of a high-end place with an underground clientele and located between the teenager clubs Icon and Gipsy. Very good music but a bit all over the place with their vibe and their branding. You can swoop almost any type of girl here from high-heeled beauty to coked-up hipsters, provided they’re not too sober.

Afterparty: if by 5AM  you haven’t pulled, it’s time to move here.

Best afterparty spot in terms of trying to get girls. Pretty much no one is sober in there and savage gorilla game goes a long way. Lots of very hot and slutty-looking girls but it can be hard to tell apart who is looking for dick and who is just on drugs but not interested. If by 9-10am you haven’t pulled, it is probably better to surrender.

The hipster alternative for afterparties, where even more drugs are in play. Plenty of attractive girls there but you have to know how to work this type of club. A nicer atmosphere and better music but if you’re desperate to pull, you’ll probably go to Miks.

Weekday jokers: if you’re on the hunt for some sexy Russian girls during the week, here are two tips to make your life easier.

Chesterfield

Ladies night on Wednesdays means this place gets pretty packed with smashed teenagers and 6s and 7s. Don’t pull out the three-piece suit in here because it’s a “simpler” crowd. Definitely your best shot on Wednesdays.

If you haven’t pulled at Chesterfield, you can throw a Hail Mary and hit up Garage’s Black Music Wednesdays. Fills up really late but there are some cute Black Music groupies in here. Very small club. Thursday through Saturday they do afterparties and you have an excellent shot and swooping girls that are probably high.

Shishas Sferum

This is pretty much your only shot on Mondays and Tuesdays because they offer free or almost free drinks for women. A fairly low-class club where you should watch your drinks. As always the case in Moscow, there will be cute girls here on any day of the week but it’s nowhere near as good as on the weekend.

In a nutshell, that is all you need to know about where to meet Moscow girls in nightlife. There are tons of options, and it all depends on what best fits your style, based on the type of girls that you’re looking for.
