Where it all began…  Sweden Yachts was established in 1976 as Sweden Boats, building yachts to order such as the 12 meter R-Yacht which was Sweden’s contender for the America’s Cup. Shortly after completing a number of custom builds and changing the name to Sweden Yachts they took over production of the Comfort 34 from Comfort Boats, Arvika which they then renamed as the Sweden Yachts C34. Since then Sweden Yachts has gone on to produce 15 different models of boat in the range of 34 to 80 feet, all bar one were designed by Jens Östman and Peter Norlin.

The Comfort 34 designed by Kenneth Albinsson was presented around 1974 by Comfort Boats of Arvika, Sweden.

In 1978 Sweden Yachts in Stenungsund took over the model and the name was changed to C34.

Production continued until 1986 when the Sweden Yachts 340 was released. In total there were 235 boats built.

The Sweden Yachts 340 began production in 1986 with a total of 101 boats being produced until 1999. This was the first of many Sweden Yachts designed by Peter Norlin and Jens Östmann.

Sweden Yachts 36 was produced from 1984 to 1992 and was subsequently replaced by the Sweden Yachts 370. A total of 74 SY36 were built before the 370 came in to production.

A total of 36 Sweden Yachts 370 were built in total. Production began in 1993 until 1998.

The Sweden Yachts 38 began production in 1983 with a total of 85 boats built until production ceased in 1990.

A total of 73 Sweden Yachts 390 were built from 1991 until 2006.

The Sweedn Yachts 41 entered into production in 1981 with a total of 39 yachts being built. The 41 was produced until 1994.

The Sweden Yachts 50 was built from 1987 until 1996 with a total of 19 yachts built.

Only one Sweden Yachts 52 was ever produced in 1996. 

The Sweden Yachts 70 was a stunning yacht produced from 1994 until 1997 with a total of 3 yachts built. The SY 70 was available with either a sloop or ketch rig.

The Sweden Yachts 80 was the only other yacht by Sweden Yachts not designed by Jens Östman or Peter Norlin. This yacht was designed by German Frers and only two were ever produced in 1998.
