In Hogwarts Legacy , there are many types of locks that will block your path as you seek to explore the depths of Hogwarts , as well as access to certain buildings in chests also found in Hogsmeade Village and the Highlands. As you learn the Alohomora unlocking spell from the groundskeeper, Mr. Moon, you’ll find out about Demiguise Statues - small statues of creatures holding glowing moons that can be obtained only when they shimmer at night . This guide applies to all versions of Hogwarts Legacy, including the original PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S versions of Hogwarts Legacy, as well as the Switch version from November, 2023.

By finding these Demiguise Statues, Mr. Moon will teach you more powerful versions of Alohomora to unlock level 2 and level 3 locks . So, to help you upgrade your lockpicking skills, this guide details the locations for all Demiguise Statues you can find across all the regions in Hogwarts Legacy.

  • How to Unlock Demiguise Statues
  • The Highlands

Unlocking Demiguise Statues

Even though you can spy a few Demiguise statues early out in the open, none of them can be interacted with until you learn the Alohomora spell . This will happen after you complete The First Trial quest and the season turns to fall, at which point Mr. Moon will ask for your assistance and teach you the unlocking spell.

20230209140042 1.jpg

Though the quest will have you grab 3 Demiguise statues around Hogwarts Castle , none of them count towards the tracked total to be found, and you’ll only get one Demiguise Moon to trade to the groundskeeper towards learning advanced versions of the spell.

  • You will need 9 Demiguise Moons to learn Rank 2 of Alohomora
  • You will need 13 more Demiguise Moons to learn Rank 3 of Alohomora (at first you may be asked to find 9, but you'll be asked for an additional 4 upon turning them in for a total of 13).

All Demiguise Statue Locations

Below you will find all known locations of Demiguise Statues. Some may be found out in the open, while others are hiding behind locked doors that require a certain level of Alohomora to breach. The statue locations below are divided up into Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, and the Highlands, in the order you can find them (ones that do not require lockpicking first).

Remember, it must be night time before the Demiguise Statue can be picked up, and only after completing Mr. Moon’s first quest. Despite his warnings, you won’t have to worry about curfew or patrols at night after his quest. See our Hogwarts Legacy Map for more collectible locations.

Demiguise statue and moon in Hogwarts Legacy. Monkey? What is it? Glowing orb.

In Hogwarts Legacy , you’ll come across many Demiguise statues — golden figures that resemble a cross between a sloth and an ape, each one holding onto a moon-shaped trinket. You can’t collect these until completing the main story quest “The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament,” in which caretaker Gladwin Moon teaches you Alohomora to take down the statues and collect their moons.

To upgrade Alohomora so you can unlock higher level locks, you’ll need to find more Demiguise statues and return their moons to Gladwin. There are 30 Demiguise statues in total, though know you can only grab them when it’s nighttime in Hogwarts Legacy . (To change the time of day, open your map and press down the right analog stick on consoles or the “F” button on PC.) Continue reading our guide to find every Demiguise statue location in Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, and the Highlands.

On numerous occasions in recent years, billionaire and Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling has taken public stances against inclusive transgender laws and trans rights , and has written fiction that has been condemned by LGBTQ+ organizations for its use of harmful anti-trans tropes. Hate crimes, as well as legislation that denies the rights of trans people, have become more prevalent in the U.K. since 2019 , and, more recently, in the United States as well .

According to an FAQ from Hogwarts Legacy publisher Warner Bros. Interactive — the parent company of Avalanche Software, the game’s developer — Rowling is “not directly involved” with the creation of Hogwarts Legacy . Regardless, the sales and widespread attention generated by a AAA video game will benefit Rowling, and that has led some fans to decide not to buy the game . For a more in-depth explainer of the yearslong controversy leading up to Hogwarts Legacy ’s release, read Polygon’s breakdown .

The Astronomy Wing – 100% Area Completion

The Astronomy Wing has a total of 32 collectibles. 6 Chests, 23 Field Guides and 3 Demise Statues. Here’s where they are so you can complete the area 100%.

The only thing that’s missing is one Field Guide Page. Will be added asap.

COLLECTION CHESTS

You can find a lot of chests in the game. Some with money, others with gear. The special ones – the Collection Chests, have items that you can find in the “Collections” sections of the game menu.

1 – PROFESSOR FIG’S CLASSROOM

This Collection Chest is at The Astronomy Wing. Go all the way upstairs on the big, main staircase. Then go through the corridor to get to the other, smaller staircase up. Here you can enter Professor Fig’s classroom with the Collection Chest sitting on a desk. Reward: Wand Handle: Corkscrew – Light and Dark Brown

boggart hogwarts legacy

2 – CHARMS CLASS PUZZLE DOOR

In the student’s lounge just above the Charms Class at THE ASTRONOMY WING is a puzzle door with beast arithmetic’s. Behind it is this Conjurations Collectible in a small chest.

boggart hogwarts legacy

Here’s how to solve the puzzle. First of all reveal the two maths tasks in the centre of the door. The task at the top has one question mark and the one at the bottom two question marks. You should see those question marks nearby as rotatable buttons. That’s where your answer goes.

Before you start calculating, look at the door frame. Ten animals, ten numbers from 0 – 9 from left to right. So the seal at the bottom left has the Zero , then the unicorn has One, the goat has Two etc. That’s the beast you have to select in your rotating button.

Let’s start with the first maths task : 0 + 3 + ? = 5 ZERO plus THREE plus TWO = 5 Select the GOAT as the ? – The third beast from the left in the door frame.

boggart hogwarts legacy

Let’s do the second maths task : Unicorn + 4 + ?? = 12 The Unicorn is according to door frame a 1 1 + 4 + ?? = 12 ONE plus FOUR plus SEVEN = 12 Select the 4 LEGGED OCTOPUS as ??

boggart hogwarts legacy

Now you can open the door. Reward: Small Game Tables – Conjurations

3 – COURTYARD EXIT PUZZLE

Just by the exit to the Transformation Courtyard is a puzzle door. Even though the puzzle is in THE LIBRARY ANNEX, it is counted for THE ASTRONOMY WING area.

boggart hogwarts legacy

Let’s start with the first maths task : 11 + GOAT + ? = 21 The GOAT is according to door frame a 2 ELEVEN plus TWO plus EIGHT = 21 Select the SPIDER as the ? – The ninth beast from the left in the door frame.

boggart hogwarts legacy

Let’s do the second maths task : SIX LEGGED SPIDER + KRAKEN + ?? = 17 The SIX LEGGED SPIDER is according to door frame a 5 The KRAKEN is according to door frame a 9 5 + 9 + ?? = 17 FIVE plus NINE plus THREE = 17 Select the HYDRA as ?? – The fourth animal from the left in the door frame. The ?? button is above the door, one floor up.

boggart hogwarts legacy

Now you can open the door. The chest is inside. Reward: Skull and Candles Shelf – Conjurations

4 – CHARMS CLASS UPSTAIRS

Inside Charms Class is a winding staircase that goes up to a locked room. Unlock it and follow the staircase further up to the roof, where the chest is. Reward: Celestial – Blue – Wand Handle

boggart hogwarts legacy

5 – OFFICE AT THE BOTTOM OF STAIRCASE

At the bottom of THE ASTRONOMY WING’s main staircase is a locked office. Inside is a chest on the table Reward: Avian – Beige – Wand Handle

boggart hogwarts legacy

6 – BELL TOWER WING BASEMENT – ALCHEMY CLASS

Go to the big staircase of THE BELL TOWER WING down into the basement. In the corridor after the dragon statue is a locked door with the “Alchemy Class” Field Guide Page. In the same room is this chest. Reward: Avian – Beige – Wand Handle

FIELD GUIDE PAGES

There are two types of Field Guides. Some have to be discovered – those would be the collectible Revelio Pages – and the “others” that need to be caught either with the “ ACCIO ” spell or in different ways. Those are not documented anywhere but counted against the FIELD GUIDE PAGES challenge. Below those two pages will be listed under “Revelio Pages” and “No Name Pages”.

The two pages from “Professor Ronen’s Assignment” don’t count towards the area completion since they are part of a tutorial quest.

REVELIO PAGES

The Revelio Pages in this area will be shown in the same order as they appear in the “Collections – Revelio Pages” Game Menu.

1 – TAPESTRY OF BARNABAS THE BARMY

From Charms Class in THE ASTRONOMY WING, work your way further upstairs into the tower part of the wing – the Astronomy Tower. Here, on a wall is this tapestry.

boggart hogwarts legacy

Collectible description: “This tapestry depicts the wizard Barnabas the Barmy’s foolish attempt to train trolls for the ballet. One can only imagine the impact on the arts had he succeeded.”

  2 – ASTRONOMY TELESCOPE

At the very top of THE ASTRONOMY WING is the Astronomy Tower with its telescope.

boggart hogwarts legacy

Collectible description: “This telescope is the finest stargazing instrument of its kind, perfect for viewing the moon and the stars and anything else one might find in the night sky.”

  3 – PARTIAL TRANSFIGURATION

This one is inside Professor Weasley’s room at the ground floor of The Astronomy Wing. Access through the courtyard.

boggart hogwarts legacy

Collectible description: “This partially Transfigured teacup – likely the soon-to-be-reversed error of a second-year – serves as a cautionary tale for those students who do not take seriously the complexities of dangers of Transfiguration.”

  4 – AUGUREY SKELETON

At the Astronomy Wing, there is a glass display with a skeleton in it. Cast Revelio when in front of it to be able to read it.

boggart hogwarts legacy

Collectible description: “This is a skeleton of an Irish phoenix or Augurey – an intensely shy bird who can forecast the coming of rain and whose mournful cry was once believed to foretell death.”

5 – BOGGART CLOSET

At the bottom of THE ASTRONOMY WING’s main staircase is a locked office. Inside is this cupboard.

boggart hogwarts legacy

Collectible description: “This old cupboard is said to have once contained a powerful Boggart that five professors working together could barely repel as it shifted among werewolf, tornado, a plate of haggis, a Hungarian Horntail and someone’s mother-in-law.”

  6 – DARK TOWER CELL

At the Astronomy Wing, in the Charms classroom is a staircase to a locked door. Open it and follow the staircase up to a roof outside. Here is a gate that you have to unlock again to read the page that’s inside.

boggart hogwarts legacy

Collectible description: “It is said that, centuries ago, a Charms professor kept a troll here on which students could practise particularly challenging spells. Shocking, to be sure, but perhaps unsurprising during a time when Quidditch involved the use of live Snidgets. One can only wonder what it may be used for in the future.”

  7 – HEBRIDEAN BLACK SKELETON

At the Astronomy Wing, in the “Defense against the Dark Arts” classroom, there is a Revelio Page high up the stairs.

boggart hogwarts legacy

Collectible description: “This large dragon skeleton that hangs in the Defence Against the Dark arts classroom is allegedly a trophy taken by Professor Hecat after she single-handedly defeated one of the largest poaching rings in Eastern Wales during the Great Poacher Raid of 1878.”

  8 – PAINTING OF ILLYIUS

At the Astronomy Wing, at ground floor, is a big painting on the wall.

boggart hogwarts legacy

Collectible description: “This painting depicts the young orphan wizard Illyius, who famously saved his entire village from an army of Dementors and the Dark wizard Raczidian by conjuring a mouse Patronus.”

  9 – SERPENTINE BEAST WINDOW

At the Astronomy Wing, look for a colourful, big window.

boggart hogwarts legacy

Collectible description: “Although Slytherins like to think this window is somehow a tribute to their house founder, it is actually a serpentine beast coiled around a tree that extends from the mouth of the legendary Green Man.”

10 – ALCHEMY CLASS

Go to the big staircase of THE BELL TOWER WING down into the basement. In the corridor after the dragon statue is another locked door after the “Important Muggle Artefact” with this Field Guide Page inside.

boggart hogwarts legacy

Collectible description: “An arcane subject offered to older students on the rare occasion when demand suffices, Alchemy focuses on the four natural elements and the science of transmutation.”

  11 – WYVERN FOUNTAIN

In the courtyard between The Astronomy Wing and the Library Annex is the Wyvern Fountain.

boggart hogwarts legacy

Collectible description: “This fountain in the Transfiguration Courtyard has a likeness of a wyvern on top and serves as a relaxing place for students to gather. Despite rumours to the contrary, possibly started by Sir Cadogan, this is most assuredly not meant to be the Wyvern of Wye, slain by the lively knight in spite of himself.”

12 – PUNGENT PASSAGE

Take the staircase down from Charms Class at THE ASTRONOMY WING until you see a door leading to the right at the base of the stairs. Take that door and you’re standing in the Pungent Passage.

boggart hogwarts legacy

Collectible description: “This passage is relatively non-descript as far as passages go. However, the mishandling of a crop of Mimbulus mimbletonia in the sixteenth century – and the accompanying tsunami of Stinksap – left it with a rancid odour that even the strongest Scouring Charm cannot seem to eradicate.”

“NO NAME PAGES”

As the name says, there are unnamed pages that don’t have a Revelio Page entry in the Collections Menu of the game. They do count as Field Guide Page, even though they “disappear” after you’ve picked them up. Places where Unnamed Pages are:

1 – Flying Pages – catch the page with “ACCIO” 2 – Black “empty” painting frames – Find the location inside the picture to find the moth 3 – Dragon Bowls – Use “INCENDIO” or “CONFRINGO” (Fire) on them. 4 – Globe holding Statues – Use “LEVIOSO” on them.

They’re not documented in the Collectibles Section of the game menu, but count towards the Challenges.

13 – FLYING PAPER ABOVE CHARMS CLASS

From Charms Class, walk past the statue outside up the stairs to the student’s lounge. There’s a Flying Paper here.

boggart hogwarts legacy

  14 – FLYING PAPER – WINE CELLAR

Access point to the Wine Cellar is best from THE BELL TOWER WING. There, go to the big staircase. There is basement access at its bottom. Go all the way down, past the dragon statue to get to the Wine Cellar.

boggart hogwarts legacy

15 – BLACK PAINTING – 4TH FLOOR

Take the main staircase up to the 4th floor – the highest floor of the main staircase. There is a black painting.

boggart hogwarts legacy

Cast “LUMOS” on the black painting and a picture will appear and stay there. It shows the location you have to find. Go through the nearby corridor to take the stairs up at the other side. At the top, you’ll find the location that was displayed in the painting. Look for a moth that is sitting on a pillar.

boggart hogwarts legacy

Cast “LUMOS” again near the moth and it starts to fly around your wand. It will stay there as long as there is light. Return with it to the frame. Stand close to it with the moth and deactivate “LUMOS”. It will go into the mould underneath the painting. As reward, a Field Guide Page Collectible pops up, pick it up and the picture disappears.

  16 – BLACK PAINTING – ASTRONOMY TOWER

On the way to the top of the Astronomy Tower, you will encounter a fireplace with a black painting next to it. After you’ve cast “LUMOS”, go upstairs where the small telescopes are. The moth is sitting on top of the black board.

boggart hogwarts legacy

  17 – BLACK PAINTING – PUNGENT PASSAGE

From the Charms Class, take the staircase down until you see a door leading off to the right. It leads to the Pungent Passage. The Black Painting is hanging in this corridor. Keep following the corridor to the next not-pungent area. Here’s the moth.

boggart hogwarts legacy

18 – DRAGON BOWL – PROF. FIGS CLASSROOM LEVEL

On the same floor as Professor Figs Classroom and Office Floor, there is a Dragon Bowl mounted on the wall. Use “CONFRINGO” to light it up. Since you can’t reach to get it now, pull the paper to you with “ACCIO”.

boggart hogwarts legacy

19 – DRAGON BOWL – TOP OF THE ASTROLOGY TOWER

Go to the very top of the Astrology Tower. The platform there has its own winding staircase down. There is a Dragon Bowl below. Light it up!

boggart hogwarts legacy

20 – GLOBE STATUE – CHARMS CLASS

Exit Charms Class and go upstairs to the “Student’s Lounge area”. From here, take the winding staircase up towards the Astronomy Tower into a small room. That’s where the statue is. Cast “LEVIOSO” to get access to the page.

boggart hogwarts legacy

  21 – GLOBE STATUE – COURTYARD

In the courtyard outside THE ASTRONOMY WING is a Globe Statue near the water. Cast “LEVIOSO”.

boggart hogwarts legacy

  22 – GLOBE STATUE – WINE CELLAR

Access point to the Wine Cellar is best from THE BELL TOWER WING. Go to the big staircase. There is basement access at its bottom. Go all the way down, past the dragon statue to get to the Wine Cellar. Here is a locked door with a frog inside. Interact with the frog and it takes you to this Globe Statue.

boggart hogwarts legacy

DEMIGUISE STATUES

The Demiguise Statues are introduced with the Main Story Quest called “The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament”. Those small statues can only be picked up at night.

1 – PROFESSOR FIG’S OFFICE

There is a Demiguise not really hiding in Professor Fig’s Office – the room at the back of his classroom.

boggart hogwarts legacy

2 – OFFICE AT THE BOTTOM OF STAIRCASE

At the bottom of THE ASTRONOMY WING’s main staircase is a locked office. Inside is a Demiguise.

boggart hogwarts legacy

3 – BELL TOWER WING – BASEMENT

For this Demiguise, go to THE BELL TOWER WING’s main staircase. At the bottom is the basement access. Take it. Walk past the dragon statue and open the first locked door that you see. The Demiguise is just to the right when you come in. The weird thing is, the Demiguise is counted for the Astronomy Wing, the Field Guide Page in this same room is counted for the Bell Tower… magic happens!

Hogwarts Legacy Collectibles Guide – 100% Completion

February 6, 2023 by PowerPyx 65 Comments

Hogwarts Legacy contains 1428 Collectible Locations. This collectible guide shows all collectibles for 100% game completion and all trophies & achievements.

trophy

  • 89 Appearances
  • 150 Revelio Pages
  • 42 Wand Handles
  • 140 Conjurations
  • 16 Ingredients
  • 168 Collection Chests – for Traits, Wand Handles, Conjurations

trophy

  • 32 Balloon Sets – needed for Brooms (Collections)
  • 236 Field Guide Pages – 180 needed for Collections (unlocks Appearances as challenge rewards)
  • 15 Astronomy Tables  – needed for Collections (challenge rewards)
  • 20 Landing Platforms  – needed for Collections (challenge rewards)
  • 20 Ancient Magic Hotspots  – needed for Collections (challenge rewards)
  • 3 Hogwarts Secrets  – needed for Collections (challenge rewards)
  • 18 Infamous Foes  – needed to unlock Enemies (Collections)
  • 24 Challenges  – needed for Collections (challenge rewards)
  • 16 House Tokens  – not directly a collectible but needed for The Daedalian Keys side quest
  • 15 Butterflies  – needed for Collections

None of the collectibles are missable! You can pick up everything in free-roam after the story (which is recommended). Pick up what you find yourself during the story. After the story, the first thing you should do is unlock all Spells  and finish all  Side Quests . The side quests will open up optional side areas that contain collectibles, you can still revisit these areas after the quests. Many Collectibles are gated behind puzzles that require certain Spells. You get all Spells from story progress and from Assignments . Some Collectibles aren’t available until you reached enough story progress.

The most important collectible type to prioritize is Demiguise Statues . These are needed for “Side Quest: The Man Behind the Moons” which upgrades your Alohomora spell to open Level 2-3 Locks. This is mandatory to open up the full Hogwarts Castle. Demiguise Statues can only be collected at night after having reached Main Quest #25: The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament . Without the ability to unlock Level 3 locks you would have to do a lot of backtracking because you can’t enter many rooms without it.

Some areas can’t be revisited after the story but those don’t contain collectibles. All collectibles are in areas that can be revisited. Areas that can’t be revisited only contain regular chests with money / potions / gear which isn’t needed for any challenges, trophies, or achievements.

:square:

Many Collectibles register automatically as rewards from Main- and Side Quests or just walking past fast travel points or encountering new enemy types. Even collectible types that don’t directly give a trophy are tied to challenges which then unlock a collectible as a reward. For example, you need the Balloons to finish the Balloon Exploration Challenge, which then unlocks Broom Collectibles, and you need all Infamous Foes to register all 69 Enemy Types in the collection menu.

Potential Bug Warnings:

There are reports that if you start Side Quest: Follow the Butterflies in Hogsmeade , but do not complete it and instead complete another butterfly , you permanently get bugged out of 1 conjuration. Complete the quest as soon as you accept it to avoid this.

There are also reports that some players end up with 74/75 Traits. This happens if a Collection Chest from a Bandit Camp doesn’t reward you with a Trait (can happen randomly). You can prevent this by reloading last autosave if a collection chest from a bandit camp doesn’t give a Trait.

Hi. I am very confused… so I’m a platinum hunter for many games, but I am confused on Hogwarts Legacy, my character is Slytherin and obviously can only go into their common room, I’ve seen videos on people getting the field guide pages in other common rooms… how can I do this on the one save to get 100%? Or does the game realise you’re on the certain house therefore has everything in the house for you?

' src=

February 8, 2023 at 6:09 pm

In order to receive the trophy “The Four of Them” you must reach the map chamber as each house.

' src=

February 10, 2023 at 7:51 am

None of the Field Guide pages are missable! Regardless of your house, the tutorial to the the Field Guide Pages is with a Page that is ALWAYS outside of a house’s common room and can be accessed at all times. For example, the Field Guide Page tutorial for Hufflepuff is in front of some wine barrels, just outside the common room entrance.

1125!? 603 already wayssss too much

' src=

February 9, 2023 at 8:28 pm

Jes, searching Hogwarts castle for collectible chests made me angry. This is the worst level design I seen. I literally see chests on the map but absolutely no path to reach them. I give up and rather wait until someone make guides.

' src=

February 11, 2023 at 3:08 am

that’s the point.. to explore your way around

' src=

February 19, 2023 at 5:31 pm

That’s the entire point of it being a magical school with moving stairways, changing walls, hidden secrets. They made a point multiple times in the books, movies, and this game itself that the school is very confusing to navigate and has a lot of secrets.

' src=

February 12, 2023 at 12:28 am

I’m stuck at 128/140 Conjurations – Everything else is complete so I am not sure how to get the rest to complete the collections

' src=

February 14, 2023 at 9:35 am

there are some chests in the Vivarium, 12 of them to be exact.

' src=

February 15, 2023 at 2:11 am

Do you have the 12 chest in vivarium?

' src=

February 12, 2023 at 5:44 pm

Currently bugged. I’ve done all side quests, main quests and 100% on challengers. Still only on 118. It’s bugged

' src=

February 13, 2023 at 12:39 am

I open all chest and i Need 2 conjurations, i don t know where to find them, pleas help me. They are Hogwarts banner and and pedistal

' src=

February 13, 2023 at 7:12 pm

You are probably missing the collection chests from inside the Vivarium or from Butterflies.

I have one appearance missing and I do not know how to get it. It’sright at the bottom of the Appearances section under the exploration sub heading. I have one of them (the one with blue trousers & a white shirt). If anyone knows how to get the other one I would be so greatfull!

My trophy tracker for the Collector’s Edition trophy has been stuck on 19%, 120/603, for a while now, even though I’ve collected more than that. I hope this glitch is fixed.

' src=

February 13, 2023 at 11:52 pm

Hi! Can anyone confirm that you don’t need all 150 pages? I see that the guide says you only need around 100 for the challenge rewards, but just want to make sure since 150 is what’s listed under the collections tab. I also unfortunately got the bug where I cant get the trophy until the new patch anyway, but just want to be prepared.

' src=

February 14, 2023 at 4:37 pm

History of magic class side quest holds 2 field pages in Bell Tower. so if you have 32/34, that’s where 2 last pages come from.

February 15, 2023 at 1:40 am

I just want finish the game , not more Because this trophy have problem .. good for everyone that got it

February 15, 2023 at 2:16 am

I had the same problem too.

I notice after I completed the puzzle 2 challenge the moth spawn back near the location (of the library/ Sphinx statue)

when the Field Guide Pages?

February 15, 2023 at 4:42 am

and Revelio Pages?

February 15, 2023 at 7:03 am

Still working on them 🙂 It will take a few more days. There are a lot more of them than other collectible types.

' src=

February 16, 2023 at 2:53 pm

I’m confused about field pages. So do we need to collect all 150 or 100 to get the trophy ‘Collector’s edition’ ?

February 18, 2023 at 4:42 pm

No, you only need 180/236 Field Guide pages to complete all their Challenges. Each Challenge gives a Collection reward. The Field Guide pages themselves don’t count as Collection Items, only their Challenge rewards do count. However, of Revelio Pages you need all 150.

February 17, 2023 at 1:59 pm

Got the platinum. Collected all 150 revelio pages. Found workaround in twitter some guy posted and it worked for me. I was stuck at 19% progress showing in psn. So here is workaround – ‘Upload save data to cloud. Delete your PS account on your ps5. Re-add your account. Upload your saved data. Load back in. Wait roughly 30 seconds to a minute and it will pop’.

The only thing I did differently is leave one collectible to collect (for me it was purchasing broom). And it instantly popped after I buyed it from the vendor.

' src=

February 15, 2023 at 8:50 pm

I finished every challenge to 100% also my ingame collection is 100% on every category. But the trophy didn’t pop. If I check the trophy in the PlayStation tab it says 18% but I’ve collected everything in the game. It shows a 100% and the map is completed too. Last trophy I am missing. Does anyone else have the Problem?

February 18, 2023 at 4:58 pm

They released a patch today that should fix this 🙂

February 16, 2023 at 5:30 am

I had every collectible listed in Hogsmeade Valley, but hanging around I found some butterflies which brought me to a chest with a collection item. So I must asume that there must be more butterflies in other areas that I already completed. Is there a way to know how many butterflies chests are there and how to locate them?

Thanks for all fo your hard work PowerPyx!

I Have found all collections except 1 conjugation. I have 117 chest in world. 35 from Hogwarts, 5 from hogmeade. 15 butterflies. And 12 from vivariums. Where do I find this last one!!! I think it’s bugged

' src=

same, missing one wand.

I have same problem …

Missing 1 conjurations 🤦🏾‍♂️

' src=

February 20, 2023 at 11:08 am

Same , i even back tracked and went to all the butterfly locations and checked the vivaruim again but still can’t find the 1 conjuration i need

' src=

February 20, 2023 at 2:53 pm

Yepp! Also hanging on 1 conjuration..

February 21, 2023 at 2:06 am

Reportedly, if you start “Followed the Butterly” but do not complete it and instead complete another butterfly, you permanently get bugged out of 1 conjuration. Reddit has multiple reports on this. Might want to add this to the guide, as it makes the Collector’s Edition trophy missable.

I have that one, but I’m doing my grind now and feel I’m going to be 3-5 short. I’ve done all the vivarium ones; open world + hogwarts says I have 84 left but I’m missing 87.

February 22, 2023 at 12:01 pm

Thank you, added a note about it in Trophy Guide, Collectible Guide and Conjurations Guide.

February 22, 2023 at 3:14 pm

Made a comment on the main roadmap, but I’d also recommend people being save-cautious with traits when mopping those to avoid a particular bug. Many are stuck at 74/75, and some just aren’t awarded a random trait when opening bandit chest. I personally saw this happen to me live; I re-loaded a previous save twice, and fortunately, it worked. I have 67/75, and all remaining ones are challenge based which I can account for exactly, so manually checking each trait in your collections every time you collect one via a chest is strongly recommended.

well need to wait some sort of patch to fix bug since im stuck at 597/603 and in collection is say i have them all

I’m stuck at 598/603. Everything is 100%. Did you find a solution?

April 1, 2023 at 2:07 pm

not yet have keep looking everyplace some sort of solution and 100% and everything is collected but nothing

only what i read is that you need to do 100% withouth closing the game but i dont really want to collect everything again

' src=

Any updates on the revelio and field guide pages?

February 23, 2023 at 8:08 am

Still working on them. I should have Revelio Pages guide ready by tomorrow. Field Guide Pages soon after (150 Revelio Pages automatically count as Field Guide Pages).

' src=

February 23, 2023 at 10:06 am

Hi, my ingame collection is 100% on every category. But I didn’t get the trophy . If I check the trophy in the PlayStation tab it says 600/603 and I’ve collected everything in the game. Every challenges is complete too…

' src=

February 24, 2023 at 12:15 pm

I have same problem mine is showing 596/603

' src=

February 26, 2023 at 11:52 pm

I met the same problem. Even after new patch, because everything what is possible to get in this game i’ve collected. Trophy tracker is saying 593/603 🙄🙄

' src=

May 13, 2023 at 3:46 pm

In my case, i had to buy missing weeds, although the tools showed 10/10. If i remember right, i bought the plants from the vendor, instead the seeds, during the story. But only the weeds are counting for the trophy.

' src=

February 23, 2023 at 11:34 am

i got same problems too, mine is 599/603.

' src=

February 25, 2023 at 1:29 pm

Same problem I have all of them in collection. But the trophy doesn’t show up. Had an issue with collection pages: according to hints, the one above green houses. Then it just went out from trophies, it’s neither done, nor shown. But I have 2 not completed (collector’s and platinum). And the hints show 1% done

' src=

March 7, 2023 at 12:21 am

I have all collections 100% completed but the trophy (collectors edition) didn’t pop. Why is that?

' src=

March 7, 2023 at 11:29 pm

Welp, joining all the people with bugged trophies, tracker stuck at 591/603 but I have everything filled out

' src=

March 11, 2023 at 2:56 pm

If you had a bug like me for the collector’s edition trophy (602/603), patch 1.05 fixed it. just go to the floo flame forbidden forest and the butterflies are there again and they will lead you to the last chest (tested on 2 characters and with each I already had all the butterflies collected and after patch 1.05 there were those from the sidequest again)

March 13, 2023 at 9:36 pm

Didn’t work for me… Still got 602/603

' src=

April 6, 2023 at 12:14 pm

Hey guys, there is a way to get the last 2 conjurations, just follow these steps:

1. You have to have 1 or 2 missing from conjurations 138/140 or 139/140. 2. Teleport to “Room of Requirements” and go inside a vivarium 3. Wait for the game auto save, then reload the last save. (It takes about 3~ minutes) 4. Speak to Deek change the room to anything different. 5. Now, just go in each vivarium and look for a chest that have respawned you just will have to locate it.

Note: For me, i needed to do it two times because i was missing two conjurations.

Hope this help you guys

Hogwarts Legacy 2 Already Has a Lot Riding on One Missing Feature

  • Hogwarts Legacy 2 is reportedly in development, and it will surely aim to bring the Harry Potter world to life in unprecedented ways.
  • Hogwarts Legacy lacked Quidditch, a major feature of Harry Potter universe, disappointing fans, so a sequel should prioritize it.
  • Warner Bros. may have excluded Quidditch from Hogwarts Legacy to avoid overshadowing upcoming game, Quidditch Champions. However, if Hogwarts Legacy 2 releases after Quidditch Champions, then that should not be a concern.

The gaming industry was undoubtedly shaken when Avalanche Software's Hogwarts Legacy was released in 2023, as it brought the world of Harry Potter to life in such an unprecedented way that it has gone on to sell more than 24 million copies since last February. Now, Hogwarts Legacy 2 is reportedly in development, which will undoubtedly continue to pull elements from the Harry Potter series and offer a sequel that will aim to have just as much, if not more, success as its predecessor did.

Hogwarts Legacy is chock-full of Harry Potter lore for fans of the famed series and open-world games to enjoy. The game offers players a chance to attend classes at Hogwarts and learn new spells, complete quests, make new friends, and explore the Wizarding World in a way no other Harry Potter game has done before. Unfortunately, regardless of the game's countless array of magical features, one major feature is missing from Hogwarts Legacy that its sequel should make up for.

Hogwarts Legacy 2 Should 'Steal' Dragon's Dogma 2's Fast Travel Approach

Hogwarts legacy 2 needs quidditch.

Despite its massive success, Hogwarts Legacy lacked one major feature — specifically, the popular genre-encompassing sport of the Harry Potter universe, Quidditch. Quidditch is a fictional sport from the Harry Potter series that bears similarities to almost every non-fictional sport, including soccer, football, and basketball. Over the years, it has become a huge staple of the Harry Potter franchise, so some fans were gravely disappointed when they learned they would not be allowed to play the game in Hogwarts Legacy . Now, Hogwarts Legacy 2 has a chance to turn things around.

Rather than simply ignoring it altogether, the Hogwarts Legacy attempted to justify its lack of Quidditch via the story . Professor Phineas Nigellus Black, the Hogwarts Headmaster of Hogwarts Legacy 's story, ordered the cancellation of Quidditch due to an alleged injury that occurred on the pitch. Based on what is revealed later in the game, however, it's likely Professor Black had other intentions in canceling Quidditch.

Even though Hogwarts Legacy attempted to explain its lack of Quidditch in its story, the primary reason presumably revolves around a multiplayer game currently in development by Unbroken Studios, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions , which, like Hogwarts Legacy , is being published by Warner Bros. Games. Likely, publisher Warner Bros. didn't want Hogwarts Legacy to have Quidditch because it didn't want Hogwarts Legacy 's version of it to steal the spotlight from Quidditch Champions .

The primary reason for Hogwarts Legacy lacking Quidditch presumably revolves around a multiplayer game currently in development by Unbroken Studios, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions .

While the release of Quidditch Champions has been all but confirmed to still be a ways off, it can be assumed that it will launch before Hogwarts Legacy 2 . As such, it may not necessarily hurt Quidditch Champions to put Quidditch in Hogwarts Legacy 2 . That being said, as Quidditch Champions is meant to be an ongoing live-service game, Warner Bros. may still decide to prohibit the sport from being included in Hogwarts Legacy 2 to continue drawing attention to Unbroken's multiplayer game.

Judging by how controversial of a decision it was to prevent players from being allowed to enjoy Quidditch in Hogwarts Legacy , Warner Bros. is behooved to let the sport be present in Hogwarts Legacy 2 . Otherwise, the publisher will face even more backlash, and it could hurt sales in the long run. It's currently unknown whether the sequel will incorporate the popular sport into its world, but the game is nonetheless reportedly in development.

Hogwarts Legacy is a game that allows players to explore an open world, including locations such as Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, the Forbidden Forest, and the surrounding Overland area. Players can create their unique witch or wizard character, learn spells, brew potions, grow plants, and tend to magical beasts during their journey. Sorting into a Hogwarts house and forging relationships with other characters enable players to master various skills and shape their characters' development.

The game features an original wizarding world adventure set in an unexplored era, where players uncover a hidden truth from the past. Challenging encounters await, such as battles against trolls, Dark Wizards, goblins, and a dangerous villain who poses a threat to the fate of the world.

Hogwarts legacy: should you ask for more money at the end of quests.

Players can choose to be unethical in a plethora of ways, but does asking for rewards at the end of quests have consequences in Hogwarts Legacy?

After completing a side quest in Hogwarts Legacy , players may sometimes have the option of asking for more money, but it can be unclear whether the risks outweigh the rewards. Some witches and wizards might be understandably hesitant to offend other characters lest they permanently harm their in-game relationships, barring future dialogue and side quest opportunities. This is often the case in RPGs, and so choosing whether to ask for more money in Hogwarts Legacy after a side quest can put players in an uncomfortable spot.

After all, earning Galleons in Hogwarts Legacy is crucial to fully enjoying the experience. The cost of gear, brooms, potions (and potion ingredients), Room of Requirement Conjuration Spellcrafts, and more start to add up quite quickly, and so players with empty pockets might not be in for as magical of a time. There are ways to make money fast in Hogwarts Legacy , but it might not be immediately obvious whether asking NPCs for more money is one of them, or if it's even worth the social risk.

Players Should Ask For More Money In Hogwarts Legacy

The player talking to an NPC who gave them a side quest in Hogwarts Legacy.

As it turns out, it's always worth asking for more money after quests in Hogwarts Legacy . In fact, there's little to no consequence in doing so. Some NPCs might express their frustration with the player, but virtually everyone will give in and grant them a few extra Galleons for their troubles. Choosing to do this won't even affect character relationships; merchants and vendors, for example, will still sell their wares to the student and retain the same dialogue options, regardless of whether they asked for extra rewards after a quest in Hogwarts Legacy .

Hogwarts Legacy Doesn't Have A Morality System

A poacher wearing a skull mask in Hogwarts Legacy, with fading red and green colors around him.

In general, players shouldn't feel the need to tread lightly during their wizarding world adventures, as there's no morality system in Hogwarts Legacy . Choosing to be rude or selfish - whether it's motivated by monetary gain or not - will have minimal effects on gameplay. In fact, not even choosing Hogwarts Legacy 's dark wizard path will impact dialogue options, change relationships with characters, or provide them with a unique ending. Knowing that even the Unforgivable Curses don't come with strings attached, it's always worth demanding an additional reward in Hogwarts Legacy.

If students are willing to set aside their conscience (at least temporarily), they'll find that their selfishness is actually rewarded quite handsomely. Extorting NPCs for extra rewards seemingly isn't one of the choices that matter in Hogwarts Legacy , and so even the kindest of Hufflepuffs or most morally-upright of Gryffindors might be tempted to weasel their way into some additional riches. It's a shame that evil actions don't have a larger impact on gameplay and story, but at the same time, it's reassuring to know that asking for more money in Hogwarts Legacy is an effective, foolproof way to gain an extra few Galleons.

Hogwarts Legacy 2 facing 'inevitable' backlash and further boycotts

Hogwarts Legacy 2 facing 'inevitable' backlash and further boycotts

Featured Image Credit: Warner Bros Games

It probably won't come as any surprise that Hogwarts Legacy 2 is already facing backlash, despite the fact it doesn't exist beyond a concept right now (at least as far as we know).

Despite the shock that still remains within the fandom that Hogwarts Legacy wasn't nominated for GOTY , there's just as much anger aimed at the game's existence and continued success in general. It isn't that people are against the game, but rather against its unavoidable connection to JK Rowling.

Magic is such a fickle thing – will you enroll for Hogwarts Legacy or not?

As a result, we return to the age old condumdrum for fans of the Harry Potter franchise as a whole: do you boycott because of the original creator's beliefs, or do you take back ownership as a form of protest? One fan is determined to embrace their love of the franchise but not of its author; "I loved this game as well and I love Harry Potter. I absolutely disagree with Rowling's opinions, but I won't stop consuming HP just because others are not pleased with Rowling's opinions," they shared. "I like it, I've grown up with it, it's been part of my childhood and I have good memories of it."

For others, however, the situation isn't so black and white.

But Hogwarts Legacy could be in trouble before ever seeing a sequel, simply due to the mixed messages regarding its summer update; many believe the update isn't what we think . As much as we would love to see new content for everyone , the likelihood is that we'll simply get the delayed DLC that PlayStation 5 players got when the game released. Maybe with a couple of small extras thrown in.

The road to more wizarding wonders is littered with obstacles and discontent – even if you don't agree with others' opinions, you can't deny that the game's foundations mean it'll always run into issues. It's a shame that connection runs so deep, but it does, and as someone who doesn't wish to line the pockets of someone whose views seem alarming, I can't condemn those inciting a boycott.

Hogwarts Legacy: The 10 Most Fun Spell Combos

There are plenty of fun spells available in Hogwarts Legacy, and combining them in unique ways can produce unexpected results.

  • Combine spells in Hogwarts Legacy to create unique and powerful combos, making gameplay more fun and engaging for lifelong Harry Potter fans.
  • Learn and master spells like Accio & Incendio or Transformation & Depulso to efficiently defeat enemies in the game.
  • Experiment with different spell combinations and talents to discover the most effective ways to succeed in combat challenges.

Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world game that enables lifelong Harry Potter fans to realize their dream and attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry . Inside and outside the classroom, they will learn a wide variety of new spells from their professors and friends, some of which are more powerful than others.

Real World Events From The Year Hogwarts Legacy Is Set

7 Real World Events From The Year Hogwarts Legacy Is Set

While optimizing builds can be great for those looking to complete the game faster or on harder difficulties, at the end of the day, Hogwarts Legacy is a game, and fun should always be taken into consideration. Thankfully, there are plenty of fun spells available, and combining them in unique ways can produce unexpected results. The following are the best spell combos in Hogwarts Legacy .

Updated February 28, 2024 by Joe Grantham: There are around thirty spells in Hogwarts Legacy, all of which can be used in unique ways, especially when combined. For this reason alone, players are still finding new ways to take down foes, especially with the most underrated spells in the game .

Spells that were once considered weak at the game's release are now being given new life, as they are used in some of Hogwarts Legacy's best spell combos . Nintendo Switch players, meanwhile, are getting their first taste of life at Hogwarts, and as they learn more and more spells in class, they will be eager to perform fun combos.

1 Accio & Incendio

Pull enemies in and set them on fire.

Hogwarts Legacy Incendio

As individual spells are learned throughout the game, many of the best spell combos in Hogwarts Legacy are temporarily unavailable to those at the start of their magical journey. With this in mind, one fun spell combo that uses spells from the early game is Accio into Incendio.

This is not only a great combo, but as Incendio, a fire spell, has an extremely short range, pulling enemies in with Accio is one of the few ways to make this spell work. With the Accio Mastery Talent unlocked, players will be able to pull in multiple enemies at once before setting them all on fire with Accio's area of effect damage.

2 Transformation & Depulso

Turn foes into barrels and throw them around.

Hogwarts Legacy Transformation Barrel

One of the most fun spell combos to use, even if it is not the most reliable, is the Transformation and Depulso combo. After transforming one enemy into a barrel, players can try and position themselves so that they can fling the barrel into another enemy . This is even more fun with the Transformation Mastery Talent which makes these barrels explosive.

Alternatively, the barreled-up enemy can be flung into a wall with Depulso or even off a cliff if one is available. This will instantly kill the enemy. If players have the Depulso Mastery Talent unlocked, they will release a second shockwave around them, perfect for situations where they are overwhelmed but still want to pull off this fun combo.

3 Imperio & Petrificus Totalus

One-shot enemies after using their help.

Hogwarts Legacy Imperio

Petrificus Totalus or the Full Body-Bind curse is one of the most overpowered spells in Hogwarts Legacy, as it can one-shot enemies. However, it can only be used out of combat on unsuspecting foes, such as when players use the Disillusionment Charm to sneak around.

Interestingly, if players save the toughest enemy for last, such as a large troll, they can use the Imperius curse to technically take themselves out of combat and subsequently walk up for an easy Petrificus Totalus one-shot. This is even more satisfying when used on foes who have taken out most of their allies while under the effects of Imperio . While this does feel a bit like cheating and makes the game easier, this extent of callousness would not be out of character for a true Dark witch or wizard.

4 Incendio & Crucio

The ultimate torture combo.

Hogwarts Legacy Incendio and Crucio

Hogwarts Legacy has a series of combat challenges, including dueling feats, which will pop up during combat, asking players to complete certain tasks. While many of these are educational, providing hints to players about how to engage in duels, one dueling feat, in particular, is notoriously dark.

Awesome Things You Didn't Know You Could Do In Hogwarts Legacy

9 Awesome Things You Didn't Know You Could Do In Hogwarts Legacy

Simply put, this dueling feat asks players to torture a burning enemy, which can be done by using one of the fire spells, such as Incendio and then the Unforgivable Curse Crucio. While this spell combo won't be for everyone, it is a fitting option for those role-playing in Hogwarts Legacy as a dark witch or wizard.

5 Transformation & Bombarda

Explode barrels that were once enemies.

Hogwarts Legacy Transformation and Bombarda

By using the Transformation spell in combat, enemies will be turned into barrels, but when paired with the Transformation Mastery Talent, these barrels become explosive. While these barrels can be thrown to explode on impact, they can also be used to create the biggest explosion in the game with Bombarda.

Bombarda, also known as the Exploding Charm, deals plenty of damage by itself, but using it in combination with the Transformation spell makes it even more fun. This combo is a natural fit for those with a particular proclivity for pyrotechnics, such as future student Seamus Finnigan.

6 Accio & Descendo

Throw enemies around.

Hogwarts Legacy Descendo

Controlling enemies and their movement is extremely fun in Hogwarts Legacy , even if it doesn't do the most damage. One great example is pulling enemies in with the Summoning Charm Accio, before slamming them into the ground with Descendo.

This combo reaches a whole other level when each of the spells is upgraded with their respective Spell Talents . Accio Mastery, for example, pulls in extra enemies that are close to the primary target, meaning that this combo can be pulled off on a whole host of enemies. Descendo Mastery, meanwhile, creates a shockwave that emanates from the area around the slam.

7 Glacius & Diffindo

Turn enemies into shards of ice.

Hogwarts Legacy Glacius

Some of the most fun spell combos in Hogwarts Legacy also do plenty of damage and are encouraged by the game itself in dueling feats. The use of Glacius followed by Diffindo is one such example. By freezing enemies with Glacius and then casting the Severing Charm Diffindo, the unfortunate foe will be shredded into shards of ice. Simply put, this is one of the highest damage combos in Hogwarts Legacy .

When both of these spells are performed with their Mastery Talents unlocked, the results are even more chaotic and almost resemble the fight in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix , when hundreds of crystal balls are smashed to smithereens at the Ministry. As this combo is one of the dueling feats, it is a great one to learn, as completing dueling feats unlocks some of the best outfits in Hogwarts Legacy .

8 The Disillusionment Charm & Flipendo

Sneak up and flip foes.

hogwarts legacy stealth gameplay combat invisibility petrificus totalus perks skills

While Petrificus Totalus is the most powerful and easy spell to use while invisible with the Disillusionment Charm, there are plenty of other fun spells to use on unsuspecting targets. For example, while sneaking up behind a foe and flipping them with the Knockback Jinx, Flipendo, won't do much damage, it is extremely funny and can then be followed up with other spells.

Hogwarts Legacy Every Mount

Hogwarts Legacy: Every Mount, Ranked

This form of embarrassment could be saved for particularly egregious enemies, such as poachers if the player is role-playing as an animal lover. The feat of flipping over an enemy from behind can also be pulled off with the Invisibility Potion, which happens to be one of the best potions in Hogwarts Legacy when used smartly.

9 Arresto Momentum & Any Unforgivable Curse

Suspend enemies before unleashing dark magic.

Hogwarts Legacy Avada Kedavra

Albus Dumbledore's magical style was once remarked upon by Kingsley Shacklebolt in the movies and by the portrait of Phineas Nigellus Black in the books. If players also want to look great whilst slinging spells, then using Arresto Momentum before performing an Unforgivable Curse can add a dramatic element to their gameplay.

Arresto Momentum suspends an enemy in the air and makes time seem to slow down. This spell is perfect for players roleplaying as dark witches or wizards , as they can make their prey watch in terror while walking up to perform an Unforgivable Curse, such as Crucio or Avada Kedavra. With the Dark Arts Talent, Slowing Curse, Arresto Momentum will even be treated as a curse, meaning more damage can be dealt with other Dark Arts spells.

10 Expelliarmus & Ancient Magic Throw

Disarm enemies and throw their weapon back.

Hogwarts Legacy Expelliarmus disarming an enemy

Expelliarmus is one of the most iconic spells from the Harry Potter series, particularly for Harry himself. Not only is it Harry's signature spell, but it is also the very spell with which he took down Lord Voldemort in the pair's final duel. This is despite it not being considered a strong spell in the eyes of many witches and wizards.

In Hogwarts Legacy , Expelliarmus is just as effective at disarming foes and gives the player a momentary advantage. However, when paired with the Ancient Magic Throw Expertise Talent, relieving certain enemies of their weapons becomes even more fun. If, for example, an enemy is wielding a sword, axe, or crossbow, players can disarm them with Expelliarmus and then throw their own weapon back at them with devastating effects.
