Le Grand Bleu, yacht d'un milliardaire russe, joue les prolongations à Carqueiranne

Ancien "jouet" du milliardaire russe roman abramovitch, le yacht le grand bleu est au mouillage depuis plus d’une semaine devant la plage du pradon. un long séjour qui interpelle..

Ce samedi matin, plage du Pradon à Carqueiranne, l’imposante silhouette d’un navire mouillé à quelques encablures de la côte ne manquait pas d’interpeller les baigneurs. "C’est rare de voir ce genre de bateau si près du rivage à cet endroit. Alors forcément, on s’interroge sur sa nature et les raisons de sa présence ici" , témoignent deux couples de Solliès-Ville, habitués des lieux.

Ils ne sont pas les seuls à se poser des questions. Au mouillage devant Carqueiranne depuis plus d’une semaine, le Grand Bleu , puisque c’est le nom de cette belle unité de plus de 110m de long, a fini par intriguer les inconditionnels du port des Salettes.

Bermudes, Russie et Var

D’autant plus que ce yacht, s’il bat pavillon des Bermudes, est en réalité la propriété d’Eugène Shvidler, un milliardaire… russe, ami de Roman Abramovitch à qui le navire a également appartenu au début des années 2000.

Avec la proximité du port militaire de Toulon qui abrite notamment le porte-avions Charles-de-Gaulle et les sous-marins nucléaires d’attaque, certains, élevés à la Guerre Froide, ont cru y déceler une opération d’espionnage. Et de pointer du doigt "un système radar très sophistiqué" . Renseignements pris auprès de la préfecture maritime de la Méditerranée, il apparaît que le Grand Bleu a obtenu du Cross Med (Centre régional opérationnel de surveillance et de sauvetage de la Méditerranée située à La Garde) l’autorisation de mouiller dans cette zone.

Escapades à terre

L’imposant yacht, sur le pont duquel on distingue un voilier et une vedette d’une vingtaine de mètres chacun, n’est d’ailleurs pas un inconnu dans les eaux de la rade de Toulon. Il y a déjà fait escale dans l’un des nombreux chantiers spécialisés dans la grande plaisance. Est-ce la raison de son long séjour devant Carqueiranne? Peut-être. À moins que le navire patiente dans les eaux de la Grande Bleue, jusqu’à l’arrivée de nouveaux clients.

En attendant, les occupants du yacht font tourner le commerce local. Ainsi, une partie de son équipage – "des jeunes anglo-saxons, très sympas" – a pris l’apéro au restaurant de plage L’Aventure , a-t-on appris lors de notre enquête. Emmené au port des Salettes à bord d’une embarcation semi-rigide, un groupe de trois personne, dont une mystérieuse femme russe, s’est également offert un déjeuner au restaurant Brise Marine , situé plage du Pradon.

The 112.8m/370'1" expedition yacht 'Le Grand Bleu' was built by Bremer Vulkan at their Vegesack shipyard. Her interior is styled by English designer design house Bannenberg & Rowell and she was delivered to her owner in May 2000. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Kusch Yachts and she was last refitted in 2008.

Guest Accommodation

Le Grand Bleu has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 20 guests in 10 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 35 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Range & Performance

Le Grand Bleu is built with a steel hull and steel/aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel Deutz (SBV 16M 628) 16-cylinder 4,570hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 17 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 19 knots. Le Grand Bleu features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels. She was built to Lloyds Register ✠ SSC:Yacht(P):G6 service, area:(EP):Ice Class 1D classification society rules.
