The Marco Island Yacht Club has roots that go back to the 1960’s, when a small, one-story wooden clubhouse was built on the site we now occupy. Sailing was a big focus, and Members enjoyed participating or watching the action from the patio. However, in the 1980’s, the wooden clubhouse burned to the ground. Eventually, the site was purchased by late developer Jack Antaramian. He completed our current Clubhouse in 1997 and established the Marco Island Sailing and Yacht Club (MISYC) as part of his own development ventures. In 2001, he decided to sell the Club. A group of interested boaters very quickly put together a consortium to purchase the MISYC. They decided to limit ownership to 200 and in Fall 2001 the Marco Island Yacht Club was born.

I made a reservation a week ago. They called at last minute and advised they could not accommodate due to a glitch in the system Is that the way a supposed first class club operates?

Fabulous and very welcoming YC! We docked here on our way back from Sarasota - Havana regatta. We'll definitely return. + Well kept sheltered marina - Challenging access (long channel - not recommended for nights and 75' power-line in front of the YC entry...sail boaters be aware) ++ Very welcoming officers and members ++ Great bar and restaurant with fabulous view + Gift shop + Amenities: Laundry, Clean showers and pool + Walkable to nearby shops and restaurants

Our wedding was so great! The food, the ambiance, the staff...everything was wonderful. Pam gave such great recommendations for vendors and was so easy to work with. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we did too. Such wonderful memories and pictures to have for a lifetime!!!!

We've been members since 2005 and MIYC is better than ever! We have a fabulous chef and top notch staff who are like an extended family. Food is prepared and presented beautifully and deliciously! Chef Bob is always happy to prepare something you request that might not be on the menu. Friday Night Happy Hour is the best time to mingle with the members. Dinner events and Sunday Brunches are always a delight. This is not "your father's yacht club." It is fun & friendly! Check it out!

We are long time members of this wonderful Club and now are missing it as we are up North for the summer! The Friday Night happy hours are always fun. In May we had two stellar member events-The Kentucky Derby Party and an International Wine and Dine with food and wine stations featuring pairings from many countries! The Staff is excellent always addressing everyone by name. I can't wait to return to the newly remodeled Burgee Bar!

Very long story but had a wedding reception there, there wasn't enough appetizers for 10 people and there were 60 attending. Then after a tragic incident at the wedding -they kicked us out. Never serve the wedding cake and the valet driver even left. And FYI, this was a military wedding. This is a very shameful thing they did and nobody tried to make it right. I wrote letters and explained it to everyone on the board including the management and they didn't care or respond. Just a horrible experience with Pam from start to finish.

This was sadly the worse reception I have been to. The only great part is the view. Otherwise there was not enough food, the manager Pam is miserable and it shows. The valet parking man was not there for the guest, nor was there anyone to greet us. The wedding cake was never served, never would I recommend this place, no matter how nice the view, the decor inside is very out dated as well.

The most unprofessional organization I have ever dealt with. The venue is amazing,,food is good,, but everything else was subpar,, Pam treats you like she is doing you a favor letting you spend thousands on an event there. I would never recommend this place again.

We had our wedding reception at MIYC and were pleased with the whole event. Pam, and her team at Marco Island Yacht Club, were amazing to work with. Pam helped coordinate vendors, room set-up, and even provided some recommendations and decor since we were planning from out-of-town. Afterwards, we received so many compliments on the food selections and location. My sincere "thank you" to the MIYC and everyone there who was so professional and made our day very special. I would recommend this venue without any hesitation!

I joined this establishment in 2014. We are new residences to the Island and so far our best meals and service have been at this club. Clean and an atmosphere that can only be found here. If you need a place with consistancy and fulfilling service on the Island......consider becoming a member. Our family enjoys this experience every week.

My wife and I got married at the Marco Island Yacht club in 2004 and it hasn't changed much since then. They still have a staff that is dead-on with providing great service. We stopped by for an afternoon drink the other day and enjoyed our time sitting at the burgee bar. We were able to walk around the grounds to re-visit and show our boys exactly where we said our vows, had cocktail hour (with waiters serving drinks and hors d'oeuvres on trays) and our reception. The wedding we had at this location was the best one I've ever been to, and I'm not just saying it because it was my own! We still have people telling us they wish they could attend our wedding all over again. The Marco Island Yacht Club was a huge reason for this. The atmosphere was elegant, the food was fantastic and the staff waited on people like they were celebrities. I would highly recommend this club to anyone planning an event, wedding, party, etc. Keep in mind that this is a private club and you should either be a paid member or a member at another club with reciprocating rights before trying to enter!

We only went once after paying for a membership. Five people, myself, my husband, two children and my mother. Clearly they aren't a fan of children as the hostess immediately frowned upon seeing them. She also took the time it took to seat us to lecture me about the children wearing flip flops and they really weren't allowed. The next party of six that walked in all had flip flops on but were spared the lecture, apparently because there were no children with them. We went for brunch, we asked if the chef could make an egg sandwich for one of my kids. You would think we were asking for the world. The server was extremely annoyed. The chef did it but by that point we clearly didn't feel welcome. We never returned, unfortunately since we entertain a lot and it would have been nice but I refused to give them another cent. Also as a member you would think that we would have received emails, flyers or something to let us know of what's going on. We had zero communication from them.

Now You Know: Yacht Club renovation gets underway

The demolition phase of Marco Island Yacht Club’s renovation project kicked off in January with a ceremonial sledgehammer wallop in the lobby.

MIYC Board of Directors Chairman Dave Everitt, Building and Grounds Committee Chair Geoff Walker along with General Manager Carrie Brooks each took a whack with a sledgehammer at the back lobby wall, which will be eliminated as part of the full gut rehab of MIYC's 26 year old clubhouse.  

“That felt good!” Everitt laughed after his turn to wallop the wall. “It’s taken awhile getting to this point, but we are thrilled to be officially underway in the transformation of our clubhouse!”

The project will enhance the club’s facilities, creating an updated space for dining, socializing and fostering camaraderie among members and guests.

“Besides updating our look, this renovation will completely modernize the kitchens, add an upstairs bar, establish an inviting, new Members Lounge, provide improved office facilities for our staff, increase dining capacity and improve space efficiency and traffic flow overall” Everitt said.

During the renovation period, member activities are continuing full throttle, with events on boats and dockside, events at outside locations, and events using a tent and food truck set up in the MIYC parking lot.

“The clubhouse may be closed, but we are definitely open for business,” said Brooks, “We still have the same great food as well as a great view of the harbor from our tent, and we’re encouraging members to come and enjoy dining here for lunch or dinner.”

The transformed clubhouse is targeted to reopen next fall. The architect is MHK Architecture of Naples and the general contractor is D Garret Construction also of Naples. In addition, the Club has hired Freestyle Interiors to advise on interior design.

Welcome to our club! Marco Island, Florida

Marco bay yacht club.

The most fun and active yacht club on Marco Island. We have a Long Range Cruisers group for multi-day trips to distant marinas.  We have Day Fleet events to various island beaches or boat accessible restaurants along with other boating activities. And we have the only Jetski / Craig Cat Special Interest Group  for exploring the 10,000 islands and backwaters. For over 53  years, our Club’s history and traditions has drawn those who love the water, power cruising, and a full and active social life.  Check out our calendar of events and articles of  past trips and you will will see why we have attained an island reputation as “The Fun Club”.  The last Monday of each month is designated as “Monday Madness” Happy Hour from 4:30 to 6:30 pm at CJs at the Esplanade.  Join us  and become better acquainted with our members and activities. You can belong to another Yacht Club and find us so affordable that you will join us for the boating and social events as well.

Owner Slips Available For Resale

All slips in marina are either privately owned or owned by the Marco Island Marina Association. Negotiate purchases directly through the people listed with each slip. The owners of the 120 slips comprise the Marco Island Marina Association (MIMA).

Decide what is best for YOU: N/S side, port/starboard tie up, bow/stern in, closer to marina exit or parking lot, etc. Tie ups listed below reflect stern in (backing in). Note water depths. A,B and N side of C have 8-10’ of water from original dredging. Closer to exit, the deeper the water – best for sailboats.

These are fee-simple purchases – you own the slip; receive a deed. You are buying the land under the water – not the dock. The marina docks are maintained via MIMA maintenance fees.

Mima Quarterly Maintenance Fees

When one buys a slip, the owner becomes a member of the 120-slip owners’ organization known as Marco Island Marina Association (MIMA).

Monthly Additional Charges

$50.00 monthly surcharge for utilities (wifi, water, sewer and rental of electric hookup box (we rent from LCEC) + metered electric, billed monthly if any electric is used. Live-aboard fee if living aboard your vessel.

Revenue For Slip-Owners In The Marina

Owned slips can be leased by owner on marina approved lease forms.

• 40’ slips lease for $900.00 month plus tax | Lessee picks up surcharge and electric usage
• 45’ slips lease for $1,100.00 month plus tax | Lessee picks up surcharge and electric usage
• 50’ slips lease for $1,400.00 month plus tax | Lessee picks up surcharge and electric usage
• 61’ slip leases for $1,760.00 month plus tax | Lessee picks up surcharge and electric usage
• 85’ slips lease for $2,300.00 month plus tax | Lessee picks up surcharge and electric usage
• 100’ slips lease for $3,000.00 month plus tax | Lessee picks up surcharge and electric usage

Transient Revenue

Join the transient pool – 67% of monthly transient revenue is divided (by dock footage) by # of slips in the transient pool in the slip for a calendar month. Your slip can be in the transient pool if you do not have your boat or a lessee in the slip. Contact Nancy in the Dockmaster’s Office if you are interested.

Transients may apply for a temporary membership card to use the MIYC clubhouse restaurant & lounge on a limited basis while in the marina. The Marco Island Yacht Club is separate from the Marco Island Marina Association. The clubhouse is a private club that welcomes new members. Advantages for boaters include reciprocal agreements with other yacht clubs and access to their restaurant and lounge areas.
