The largest Voyager to date is currently in development. This luxury yacht sees Van den Hoven stepping into the world of superyachts, where design, finish, comfort, materials and looks are of even greater importance.  

The Voyager 80 is a comfortable seagoing motoryacht in which safety and a robust construction quality played a prominent role in the initial design. A true eye-catcher, the modern yet timeless design features a spacious interior that is suitable for long stays on board for up to eight people and two crew. The owner’s and guest cabins all have an exclusive feel. The flybridge with plenty of comfortable seating, the aft deck with al fresco dining facilities and the swim platform ensure a wealth of outdoor space, while the foredeck has even more seating and luxury sun beds. The good life clearely beckons!  

STAY IN LUXURY

With ample seating, a well-equipped galley, a dining table and a steering position, the saloon is spacious and comfortable, while the large flybridge features an outdoor galley for BBQing in the sun while enjoying the views. To make longer stays even more pleasant, the flybridge also features a second helm and comfortable seating as well as a full bar with stools, a dining table for six and sun beds.

Everything below deck revolves around comfort and extended stays on the water. The superior owner’s suite, for example, has a large bathroom, while the VIP cabin for two also has its own bathroom. The four other beds are located in two additional cabins that share a bathroom.

The crew will also enjoy a comfortable stay on board. The crew cabin has two beds with sufficient space, while the dedicated mess and bathroom guarantee plenty of privacy. The separate entrance to the crew quarters was designed in such a way that crew have no need to pass through the owner’s area.

Van den Hoven Executive 1850

• Introduction

The all-new Executive 1850 is the logical extension of our 1700 series.

Both the exterior and interior have been designed by John van Leeuwen in cooperation with yacht designer Arnold de Ruyter. The curvaceous lines give the side view an even more stylish appearance. The 1850 is available both with and without a flybridge. The 1850 provides even more sailing comfort than the 1700, due not only to its length but also the fitting of stabilisers as standard. The underwater segment is already of course designed for high initial stability.

Van den Hoven ‘s New 60-Foot ‘Voyager’ Combines the Speed of a Cruiser With the Comfort of a Superyacht

We know Van den Hoven can craft elegant yachts , but the Dutch builder’s latest creation promises to go the extra nautical mile—quickly, too. The new, super-speedy Voyager 61 flybridge motor yacht allows seafarers to cover long distances in good time and, of course, exceptional comfort. 

Developed by leading Dutch designer Rene van der Velden, the 61-foot yacht features a light, all-aluminum hull designed to cut through the waves with ease. Twin 725 hp Volvo Penta engines power the vessel, which has a top speed of 21.5 knots. (For comparison, Van den Hoven’s executive yacht clocked just 11 knots.)

“ Voyager 61 reflects the desire to continue sailing and not to be on the road for too long between destinations,” Bart van den Hoven, managing director of Van den Hoven Jachtbouw, said in a release.

Voyager 61 has a minimalist, open-plan layout with plenty of glass to integrate the interior and exterior seamlessly. On the main deck, a generously proportioned galley connects the dining room and living area, where a welcoming white lounge is the centerpiece. The lower deck, meanwhile, relies on glass walls and doors to further unify the space. If you prefer things al fresco, the yacht also features a foredeck with plush sun beds and a flybridge which comfortably accommodates eight people.

But the design quality of the yacht really comes across in smaller details, like the ingenious hull, which has the smallest possible stern surface thanks to an ascending keel line from forward to aft. Having the transition between the bottom and the stern at such a sharp angle minimizes resistance, reduces unnecessary turbulence and lowers fuel consumption. Basically, this baby will get you to your destination quickly, smoothly and (relatively) cheaply. 

Construction has already begun on the aluminum hull of the inaugural Voyager 61 , which is expected to hit the water in the summer of 2020. Following the considerable interest which the yacht has already garnered, the boutique shipyard is planning to expand the series with 70- and 79-foot models. Stay tuned.
