VIDA Yacht – Precious Superyacht
It was built by Heesen Yacht Builders in 2019 with naval architecture by Omega Architects. She acts as a mothership to the owner’s sports fishing fleet.
The interior design was a collaborative effort from three major design houses; Francesco Paszkowski, Margherita Casprini, and BE Design Associates.
VIDA is a luxury home on the water for the owner and his family to enjoy during fishing tournaments and expeditions.
VIDA yacht interior
Francesco Paszkowski worked on the interior design for the VIDA yacht in collaboration with Margherita Casprini. BE Design Associates also contributed to the VIDA’s interior at a later date.
There is accommodation for 12 guests in 6 cabins, in one master suite, two VIP suites, one double, and two twins. The VIDA has a capacity of 13 crew members on board for a luxury experience for guests.
The VIDA yacht features a contemporary yet sophisticated style with the best quality materials like travertine, Calacatta marbles, and Alpilignum teak. The colors of the decor are earthy and bring a sense of livable luxury.
This was important to the owner, as he wanted a floating home for him and his family to enjoy while on fishing expeditions.
Indoor/outdoor seating is abundant throughout the 55m yacht, which offers plenty of space for guests to enjoy fine dining and socialize together.
She also features a large beach club that makes sunbathing and lounging by the water easy for guests.
The beach club also features a gym. She has a pool with LED lights that match the ambiance created by lights on the hardtop roof of the VIDA.
VIDA yacht exterior
The exterior of the VIDA yacht was designed by Omega Architects , boasting a sharp and masculine exterior that makes her stand out on the water.
Heesen Yachts built her in their Netherlands-based shipyard and delivered her to the owner in 2019.
Her imposing exterior features a white steel hull and aluminum superstructure. VIDA was designed to be a fishing boat that wasn’t cramped so that everyone on board could enjoy fishing expeditions and tournaments.
VIDA yacht specifications
The VIDA yacht is a 55m superyacht with a 9.6m beam and a 3.15m draft. The yacht has a displacement of 740 gross tons and is powered by twin MTU engines.
With a range of 4500 nautical miles, she has a cruising speed of 13 knots and a maximum speed of 16 knots.
She has a Lloyd’s Register classification. VIDA acts as a mothership to a fleet of fishing boats. She had to be large enough to serve as a filling station for the other sportfishing boats in the owner’s fleet to accommodate this feature.

Welcome Vida, our latest yacht in the 55m Steel class
We are proud to present YN 18455, now christened Vida and formerly known as Project Antares.
Launched earlier this year on 4 January, Vida is now entering the systems commissioning phase and is getting ready for sea trials.
Vida is the third in the successful 55m FDHF Steel class, which features muscular exterior lines by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects. The profile is clean thanks to the absence of fashion plates and the design is characterised by floor-to-ceiling windows that allow for plenty of natural light to flood the interiors.
The Owner, an experienced American yachtsman, worked closely with the shipyard’s technical team to customize his yacht. In fact, Vida has some special features to carry out her role as mothership to the owner’s sport fishing fleet, such as the ability to re-fuel and re-charge two sport fishing boats, allowing for several days out at sea without needing to return to base.
To create the interior décor of Vida, the Owner appointed Be Design Associates from Florida with whom he had previously worked on several residential projects. The Be Design team worked on an interior architectural structure penned by Francesco Paszkowski and Margerita Casprini, and brought in a feeling of being at home away from home. The use of natural materials and finishes along with a soft and warm colour palette contribute to creating a comfortable but sophisticated ambiance.
This is the first new-build yacht for Be Design, and they approached the project with fresh eyes while working closely with the shipyard’s interior engineers. Central to the work of Be Design and the Heesen team was the selection of materials and finishes that offer both environmental performance and long-term durability in the marine environment.
Twelve guests are accommodated in five suites located on the lower deck and a magnificent 80-square-meter owner’s stateroom set forward on the main deck. Further, a stunning backlit onyx arch in the main saloon will guarantee a wow effect when boarding Vida.
At 55m and 740GT, Vida offers a maximum speed of 16 knots and frugal fuel consumption that gives a remarkable range of 4,500nm at 13 knots, thanks to the progressive hull design devised by van Oossanen Naval Architects. Combining magnificent comfort with optimised efficiency throughout the speed spectrum, Heesen’s 55m FDHF steel class sets a new standard in superyacht performance.
Vida will undergo rigorous sea trials in the North Sea and will be delivered to her owners in Spring 2019.

Dutch yachtbuilder Heesen delivered the 180-foot Vida (formerly Project Antares) this week following sea trials that clocked the Van Oossanen Naval Architects –designed fast displacement hull form superyacht at a top speed of 16.4 knots. Twin MTU 8V 4000 M63 diesel engines gave this efficient yacht a 4,500 nm range while cruising at 13 knots.
Vida ‘s 740 gross tons house a spectacular interior created by BE Design . A backlit ivory onyx arch welcomes guests through the aft entrance to the main deck. This arch serves not only as a momentous way to enter from the aft cockpit, but it also acts as a 21-bottle-per-side wine cellar—quite the celebratory way to hop on board.

The yacht’s American owner worked with the yard so Vida can cruise as mothership to the owner’s sport-fishing fleet. This means the owner’s two sport-fishing boats will be able to refuel and recharge via Vida , extending fishing excursions to several days at sea without needing to return to base.
Vida is also the first Heesen yacht to comply with the latest emissions regulations. Its selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system reduces NOx in exhaust emissions in line with the stringent IMO Tier III regulations.
Back to aesthetics, another highlight of Vida is its backlit ivory-onyx floating-steps staircase. Strips of lacquered wood and smoky mirror, together with the onyx, make for an arresting and intricate statement piece traveling among the decks of the yacht.

Vida accommodates 12 guests in a total of six staterooms, including five large lower-deck cabins and a more than 860-square-foot owner’s apartment on the main deck.
As enticing as the technical aspects and onyx-laden interior may be, Vida also has all kinds of deck space. For example, the sundeck offers up more than 1,000 square feet of fun in the sun, such as a pool with waterfall. Once the sun goes down, this same space is party central, with a starred ceiling, colorful LED lights in the pool and a fully stocked bar.
If the sundeck proves to be too far from the water, the 860-square-foot beach club with a large swim platform brings refreshment within reach. Sweat off last night’s sundeck dance party in the adjoining gym.

55m Heesen superyacht Vida captured on maiden voyage
The 55 metre Heesen superyacht Vida has been photographed on her maiden voyage.
It comes after the Steel class yacht undertook "rigorous" sea trials back in March across four days. During these tests, she reached a top speed of 16.4 knots, with noise and vibration levels in line with expectations.
Vida is now attending the LYBRA Superyacht Show in Barcelona, after which she is set to make her official debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September. She will spend the summer cruising the Mediterranean.
Previously known as Project Antares, the steel and aluminium yacht was launched on January 4 and was the first of five yachts scheduled for launch this year.
The full displacement yacht features naval architecture by Van Oossanen and exterior styling by long-time yard collaborator Omega Architects .
The interior design comes from Francesco Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini , as well as Be Design Associates from Florida, which was previously known to the owner. It was the first new-build yacht project for Be Design Associates who brought "fresh eyes to the project," Heesen said.
The selection of materials and finishes were chosen on their environmental performance and long-term durability in the marine environment.
Accommodation is for a total of 12 guests in five suites on the lower deck, as well as an 80 metre squared owner's suite on the main deck.
The interior is decorated in natural materials along with a soft and warm colour palette deployed to "create a comfortable but sophisticated ambiance." One key interior feature is a backlit onyx arch in the main saloon that "will guarantee a wow effect when boarding Vida," according to the yard.
Other key interior features include large vertical windows to allow plenty of light into the master suite.
The yard also revealed that Vida will act as the mothership to the owner’s fleet of sportfish yachts, carrying extra fuel so that the smaller vessels can be topped up when needed.
Vida will have a maximum speed of of 16 knots and range of 4,500nm at 13 knots.

'Vida' embarks on maiden journey
The 55m steel motor yacht left dutch waters for her maiden voyage to the mediterranean….
Formerly known as Project Antares , the 55m steel motor yacht left Dutch waters for her maiden voyage to the Mediterranean where she will be met by her new owners.
She underwent her sea trials in March during which she managed to reach a top speed of 16.4 knots. Vida is also the first yacht in Heesen’s fleet to comply with the latest emissions regulations, featuring a selective catalytic reduction system that reduces NOx in exhaust emissions.
The owner, an experienced American yachtsman and sport fisherman, worked closely with the shipyard’s engineers to customise his new yacht, giving it the capacity to refuel and recharge his Bayliss 60 and Bayliss 68 sportfish yachts, allowing him to be at sea autonomously for several days. This bespoke addition to Vida is an adroit illustration of how superyachts can be used to explore owners’ passions, beyond yachting itself, increasingly this is becoming an important string to the superyacht market’s bow.
On the lower deck are five staterooms that can accommodate up to 12 guests, while the owner has an 80m2 apartment forward on the main deck.
Vida’s outside areas have been designed to offer her guest’s plenty of entertainment space. Her 100m2 sundeck, for example, offers a place to lounge during the day, which, according to Heesen is “ invitingly enhanced by the pool that features a mesmerising waterfall”. During the evening the starred ceiling and pool’s LED lights allows the sundeck to become a party area.
Vida is set to debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September this year.
According to the fleet analysis from The Superyacht New Build Report , published earlier this year, Heesen is one the industry’s “consistent builders,” meaning that they have delivered at least one superyacht per annum for the last ten years. Over the past decade, they have delivered 40 superyachts in total.
Heesen is set to have a busy few years, having delivered two superyachts this year already, with two more in the pipeline for 2019. They have four in build for 2020 and three due for 2021.

Heesen yachts announced vida - a family member of the 55m steel class with fast displacement hull form for an experienced yacht owner..
Omega Architects developed the nice exterior design of the 55m steel class – so also M/Y VIDA. Van Oossanen completes the lines with there naval architecture skills.
The interior (no photos yet) was created Francesco Paszkowski and Magerita Casprini, supported by BE Design from Boca Raton in Florida who is responsible for the interior decoration.
Because there are pictures of the interior, here is a short description by the yard:
“[…] brought in a feeling of being at home away from home. The use of natural materials and finishes along with a soft and warm colour palette contribute to creating a comfortable but sophisticated ambiance.”
VIDA comes with a top speed of 16 knots and a range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots. The yacht can host twelve guests in five cabins on the lower deck. The owner can enjoy a private 80 square-meter area on the main deck.

The 180-foot Heesen yacht, formerly known as Project Antares, was released to its American owner and set sail this summer through the Mediterranean.
Impressive MTU 8V4000 M63 diesel engines produce a top speed of 16.47 knots, and thanks to her progressive fast displacement hull designed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects, she is able to minimize fuel consumption while reaching a range of 4,500 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 13 knots. VIDA sleeps up to 12 guests in six large cabins with a crew of 13. The 31.5-foot beam allows for staterooms such as the owner’s cabin, which is located on the main deck. Two VIP rooms, one double and two twins make up the remaining cabins. She also accommodates an active fishing lifestyle and can act as a storage facility for a sportfishing fleet of smaller vessels to refuel and replenish stocks.
The exquisite interior was designed by Florida-based company Be Design, led by Francesco Paszkowski in collaboration with Margherita Casprini. A key design feature is the backlit ivory onyx arch framing the aft entrance to the main saloon that doubles as an artistic display wine cellar that fits 21 bottles. The floating staircase also uses backlit onyx and fume mirror to enhance the optical illusion.
Designed by Omega Architects’ Frank Laupman, the sharp exterior speaks for itself.
The “beach club” includes a fully equipped modern gym and easy access to the water via swim platform, which makes it hard to refuse.

Kamaz FTL hauler registers NatCar brand
MOSCOW. Sept 4 (Interfax) - National Carrier JSC, the full truckload freight trucking company headed by former Globaltruck CEO Ilya Sattarov that Russian truck maker Kamaz founded this summer, applied to register the brand NatCar at the end of August, the registry of federal intellectual property service Rospatent showed.
The NatCar brand is also mentioned in the recruitment ads of National Carrier, which is actively looking for E-class drivers. It is offering working with this year's model Kamaz diesel trucks from the flagship K5 line and new dry goods (curtainsider) and refrigerated trailers.
National Carrier was founded on July 7 in Moscow with charter capital of 1 billion rubles, the Unified State Register of Legal Entities showed. The company registered two branches in early August, in Yekaterinburg and Elektrostal, Moscow Region. The company specializes in truck logistics and associated activities, including digitization processes.
A spokesman for National Carrier told Interfax earlier that the company plans to provide FTL trucking services using its own fleet, "as well as the resources of hired truckers." The company's fleet will initially consist of 400 semi-trailer trucks with a 50/50 ratio of curtainside to refrigerated trailers, and it plans to primarily operate on domestic routes, he said.
The company has preliminary agreements with major customers among marketplaces and retailers in the FMCG and DIY segments, the spokesman said. Strong demand for trucking services is expected toward the end of the year, so there is interest from customers, he said.
Kamaz marketing director Ashot Arutyunyan announced at the International Moscow Automotive Forum at the end of August that the truck maker was the principal investor in National Carrier. He did not comment on the new company's shareholder structure, but said it is a Kamaz startup.
