IONIAN PRINCESS (45.7m / 150’) is a mega charter boat built by Christensen in 2005. She can accommodate up to 12 guests overnight and 12 guests cruising. She is normally offering East Mediterranean as well as West Mediterranean luxury crewed charters during summer seasons. At times, she will also accept charters in the Black Sea, including North Turkey, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania and even Georgia, while during winter months she is often prepared to cruise in North Africa and Red Sea, including Jordan, Israel and Egypt. Thanks to her twin MTU V12 superyacht engines, she comfortably cruises at speeds of around 12kn (fuel consumption around 450 l/h) while reaching a top speed of 18kn.  Her best features are classic Greek design, two master suites of equal size and attentive crew of up to 10 including the captain, providing best super yacht service.

The 45.72 metre motor yacht Ionian Princess has been sold by Matthew Stone and Mark Elliott at IYC , with Jim Query and James Fachtmann at James Fachtmann & Associates introducing the buyer.

Ionian Princess was designed by Setzer Yacht Architects and built in America by shipyard Palmer Johnson with naval architecture by Christensen. She was delivered in 2005 and later appeared in season one of Bravo's hit reality series Below Deck before joining the brokerage market following a refit in 2021. 

Accommodation is for 12 guests in six cabins, plus a convertible stateroom making seven. This includes a full-beam master suite on the main deck, a VIP suite, three double cabins, and one twin, all with entertainment centres, television screens and marble en suite bathroom facilities. Her refit saw Ionian Princess fitted with a new propulsion system, an interior refresh and the installation of A/C throughout the vessel.

Dining is a highlight aboard Ionian Princess as there are various dining areas for 12 guests throughout the yacht. With the ocean as a backdrop, guests can dine al fresco on the sundeck and the upper aft deck. Formal meals can be enjoyed in the yacht’s formal dining room, which offers an optional etched glass door for privacy. 

Her expansive sundeck has ample sun loungers forward of a ten-person Jacuzzi and a barbecue. Elsewhere, Ionian Princess boasts a sky lounge with a cinema, alongside a gym and additional sunpads. 

The main deck saloon features ample comfortable sofas around a coffee table, forward of a large galley and crew mess. 

Powered by twin Caterpillar C-32 diesel engines, the yacht has a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots.

Ionian Princess was asking $12,900,000.

The Interiors

High gloss mahogany panels and furnishings create a classic environment in the main salon which is ideal for formal occasions and guests who want the ultimate in opulent surroundings while cruising. The main salon leaves a lasting impression with its mosaic flooring, high-backed armchairs, back-lit bookcases and curtained windows work perfectly with cutting edge technology to create a living space for guests to use throughout the day.

There is a separate room for formal dining for a more focused experience between 12 guests. The stately mahogany table provides ample space for all diners and the glimmering chandelier and ceiling lights form an ambience that enhances every meal.

The skylounge offers a second choice place to relax and entertain: There’s a widescreen TV and surround sound for films as they were meant to be experienced, games consoles to keep the young and young at heart engaged while cruising to your next destination, and a games table for drinks and cards after the evening meal, all served by the nearby bar.

The Exteriors

The spacious main deck aft can be used for quiet relaxation or exercise such as yoga and Pilates out of the sunshine, and steps lead down to the swim platform for easy access to the glassy waters of Greece or the Balearic Islands .

On deck Jacuzzi

The bridge deck above is furnished with an alfresco dining table for a group of 12 to enjoy a multi-course meal in the fresh air and shade, and a similar setup can be found amidships on the sundeck. Here, the group can rest on the sunbeds on a lazy afternoon or lie back in the Jacuzzi and take in unparalleled views in the sunshine or under clear night skies.

The Accommodation

The Master suite is conveniently placed on the main deck for quick access to the main salon and dining area. The bedroom has its own private lounge/study as well as a king-sized bed, TV entertainment and plenty of wardrobe space for all the glamorous gowns and suits for the party season. The elegant en-suite is finished with marble tops and has taps designed to look like golden swans surrounding the sink and bathtub – a touch unique to luxury yacht IONIAN PRINCESS.

The second master suite is on the lower deck and makes use of the full beam to provide a spacious environment with the same in size to the main deck Master. The VIP stateroom and other guest cabins are also on the lower deck, and guests will feel pampered in the classic surroundings where the latest technology is at their fingertips.

The 'Below Deck: Mediterranean' Yacht Is Pricy

There's a new season of Below Deck on its way, and you know what that means: Another mega yacht to drool over while dreaming of sipping freshly made drinks instead of sitting at home on your couch. And, of course, the reality check when you realize just how much it costs to rent the Below Deck: Mediterranean ship: The Ionian Princess . The yachties over at Yacht Charter Fleet said that a week on the IP in the summer will cost you $163,501, but the experts at Fraser Yachts quote a slightly higher measurement — up to $185,972 a week in the summer . Want to save a few bucks? You can travel in the winter, when the cost is less exorbitant, just $140,087 according to YCF as opposed to Fraser's $163,430.

Either way, you probably need to be an actual millionaire in order to go on a month-long charter trip through the Mediterranean. I hope that doesn't come as a shock, because is anyone surprised that the yachts seen on Below Deck are expensive? Come on, if a sweatshirt from the Kanye collection is hundreds of dollars, then it should be no surprise that the vacations that Beyonce takes cost in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. But, you're getting your money's worth when you rent the Ionian Princess.

The Cast Of Below Deck: Mediterranean

Maybe not literally, unless you happen to be chartering the ship when the Bravo cameras are present, but YCF says that the yacht carries up to ten crew members. That means ten people will be working 24/7 in order to insure that you don't have to lift a finger for the tenure of your stay... that is, so long as you leave them a good tip afterwards.

Room For Eleven Of Your Closest Friends

According to its website, the accommodations on the Ionian Princess include room for 12 people, split into six rooms. And there's two master suites, so no need to argue about who gets to stay in the biggest room.

A Ship With Serious Length

The IP is 150 feet long , according to Yachting magazine. To put that into perspective, the Ionian Princess is almost as long as the Tower of Pisa is tall. So, even though there's a lot of people on board, you really don't have to see them if you don't want to.

A Ton Of Watery Adventure

Yacht Charter Fleet has a list of the activities that you can do while sailing on the Ionian Princess, and they're awesome . Jet skis, kayaks, snorkels, wakeboards, waveriders, waterskis. Not mentioned: A giant rubber slide, unfortunately. I guess that's Below Deck classic-only.

Of Course, There's A Jacuzzi

That's for the best, really, since the on deck hot tub always tends to get a lot of use as the season goes along. And, the crew loves to take their turn in the jacuzzi. Captain Lee always seemed a bit awkward, but maybe the new Mediterranean captain will be more chill.

A Ton Of European Style

The Caribbean yachts were a bit more relaxed and beachy compared to the Ionian Princess, which will be bringing some ornate European flair, like this glass window design.
