Not Every Yacht Brokerage Allows Your Boat To Be Advertised On These Websites

If you were to evaluate what the larger yacht brokerage firms do for their customers from a marketing standpoint, you would find the differences to be subtle. As the boat owner and seller, you would need to thoroughly investigate the plan that each brokerage firm is proposing and evaluate. It's always a good rule of thumb when choosing a yacht broker to interview several different ones, ask for a presentation on what kind of advertising commitment will be made, analyze the information, and then decide who is best to sell your yacht. The right strategy and the right broker can often lead to a quicker sale and for more money.

The fact is that many brokerages out there today, for a variety of personal reasons, do not want your listing distributed out to as many places as possible online. Perhaps they want to try and represent both the buyer and seller, doubling their commission. That's a great idea, as long as it means your boat gets sold in a reasonable amount of time without sitting and waiting for their pay day. Perhaps they don't want to encourage yet another boat classified website? Whatever the reason, the only person it ends up hurting is YOU!

SportfishTrader.com
United Yacht Sales was one of the very first brokerage firms to begin advertising on SportfishTrader.com and continues to be one of the largest collaborators with the company. Sportfish Trader has one of the top social media presences online today. Along with its sister channel (360FishingNation), Sportfish Trader has nearly 300,000 followers on Facebook and Instagram. Wouldn't you want your boat advertised to their audience?
When you list your sportfishing yacht with us, your boat is automatically sent to SportfishTrader.com and there is a good chance it will be featured on their social media channels. "I use Sportfish Trader to photograph and video all of my sportfish listings," says Greg Graham . "As soon as they release the images on social media, I immediately begin getting calls."
Sportfish Trader's team will also be covering the Jimmy Johnson Quest For The Ring Tournament this March on behalf of UYS. United Yacht Sales is the official yacht broker sponsor for the tournament.

One of the newest yacht brokerage websites to be created, United Yacht Sales is one of the very first brokerage firms to jump on board yachtsforsale.com. Launched at the 2023 Miami Boat Show, YachtsForSale.com is actually owned by another boat dealership and brokerage firm which is going to keep many other companies from advertising here. But not, United Yacht Sales.
"We thought long and hard about whether to send our listings to yachtsforsale.com being that they are owned by our competition," continued Jeff. "At the end of the day, we relied on our rule of thumb to always do what's right for our customers which meant getting their listing advertised in as many places as possible."
YachtsForSale.com only allows boats to be advertised on it that are listed with a professional broker and do not allow FSBO's (For Sale By Owner) vessels.

BoatsForSale.com is also managed by the same company that runs YachtsForSale.com. When you list your boat with a United Yacht Sales broker, your boat is automatically entered into both MLS systems by our listing team, which is then automatically fed to BoatsForSale.com. If anyone on the website is interested in your listing, that enquiry goes directly to the UYS broker you have hired to represent you.

While MoreBoats.com may not get the same amount of traffic as Yachtworld.com, it still brings in thousands of visitors each day. As part of our membership to the International Yacht Brokers Association, all of the listings signed with United Yacht Sales will be sent automatically to this website as well. Like many other boating websites, they advertise in different places to attract buyers. Will the right buyer see your boat online there?

Will RightBoat.com have the right buyer for your yacht? We aren't sure, but we're going to put it there anyway. Some yacht brokers go with a targeted, precision approach to finding a buyer. All of United's listings are automatically fed there as part of our MLS service.
