I am a huge review person and I searched many sunset cruises but this one had the beat reviews and I can see why! We went and it was great! They are very nice, play awesome music, make sure you have a new drink in your hand when you finish one and get you very close to the arch! I definitely recommend this sunset cruise if you are looking for one!

We had a really nice time in the sunset cruise. The staff was friendly and the Catamaran was clean. It is a smaller boat than the others but that means less people. (What we were looking for with covid)

We were scheduled to go on the sunset cruise this evening and were called this afternoon and told it was too windy. We were not able to go on the alternative day they offered. I asked them to cancel our reservation and was told I had go online to cancel myself. When I went online to cancel I received notice that because it was day of, I would not receive a refund. Wow!

Thank you for your comments, we are sorry for this situation. We cannot refund directly to us, until viator notifies us, so we are not authorized to release your money. we will be more aware and we will look for alternatives with them so that this does not happen again.

This was my third time using La Princessa. We went out on a snorkeling trip to Santa Maria. On our way out, we saw a pod of at least 100 dolphins. It was incredible! They were swimming and jumping with the boat. We enjoyed our time at Santa Maria. It was a relaxing and memorable day.

Crew was amazing, nice music selection, we got to see bunch of whale sightings. Even had blankets when it got cold . Everything thought out and small and cozy. In my opinion better than big boats for the experience of the whales.

Absolutely wonderful Catamaran and Snorkeling Trip!

We did the Catamaran Snorkeling Tour and absolutely LOVED IT! Very easy to find dock right in downtown Los Cabos. Caption spoke both Spanish and English very easily. They took us to Lover's Arch and beach first and had a photographer on board to take pictures (I suggest taking your own, otherwise you'll pay about $40/per picture). You could have up to 3 beers before snorkeling, but unlimited water and soda. Then they took us to our snorkeling spot, about 30 minutes or so away I would say. The snorkeling was nice, but the water was a little cloudy that day. They would feed the fish though so you can see these big schools of fish swimming around you. After snorkeling they had a tuna sandwich and chips and guac lunch that was actually very good! Then the drinks came out. They never let us have our cups empty. Always making sure we had everything we needed and constantly bringing more drinks out. Definitely worth more than $50. Highly recommend it!!

This was one of the best activities in Cabo. Went on sunset cruise with open bar and snacks. They never let you have an empty cup. Beautiful views. Bathroom was a little yucky, but overall worth it. Try to negotiate a cheaper rate at the dock before the boat leaves or book on line for additional savings.

The La Princesa dock is easy to find, the first one in the corner nearest the mall's marina entrance. Don't expect the ticket taker any before departure time, when she materializes out of nowhere to take her place at the top of the gangway & collect everyone's $50, cash only, no change available. All's well on the catamaran, however, as the captain & friendly crew hop to both their duties & the sunset cruise itself. A small crowd for a Friday night was along for the 2-hour round trip, w/ scenery galore from first to last. Plenty of ginormous yachts held our attention on the way out of the marina, as did the row of lovely hotel & dining properties to the East. We were soon in the open bay, taking a brief loop to the east before turning towards the famous Cabo Arch & our ultimate destination, the Pacific. Our hosts had the limited bar open immediately, w/ margaritas & several Mexican beer varieties to choose from. On the way back after sunset they whipped up some delish guacamole & salsa, plenty to go around for all & paired perfectly w/ the cold beers. Another crewman had photography duties, providing digital samples of the few groups & couples, taken w/ the scenic backgrounds & available for purchase. He was also friendly enough to snap a few w/ my own camera. The scenic highlights included the Arch up close & vivid, w/ adjacent beaches, seal rocks, & other singular stony formations near Land's End. When we rounded the corner into the Pacific, even more gorgeous resort properties were visible clinging to the steep ridge rising up from the beach, each one unique, and each one twinkling in the twilight of southernmost Baja. We sailed north a few more minutes until the glowing orange sun blinked out below the watery horizon. The cat made a U-turn & headed back to CSL marina, everyone snacking, sipping, & squinting into the ocean breeze. This is a lovely, if not luxurious, sunset cruise for the $50 fall price tag, w/ the Baja scenery & the friendly crew elevating this experience above the ordinary.

We booked this trip through the our resort so weren't too sure what we would get because we hadn't done our own research. We were not disappointed one bit. Captain Johnny, Hugo and Jose provided us with a first class excursion. A great snorkeling experience and cruise by El Arco, Lover's Beach. Hugo and Jose looked after us very week and our drink glass was never empty. Jose made fresh guacamole that was very delicious. It was a awesome day on the water with Captain Johnny and crew...thanks we will see you again when we come back to Cabo.

Awesome trip in mid April! Great boat, great snorkeling and even better crew. Our trip was actually three trips in one! Left out of Cabo marina and toured past the arches for photo ops. Then headed about an hour north in the Sea of Cortez. Saw saw sea lions, flying fish and even a breaching ray. No whales but I am sure that's a possibility in the right season too. They also put a line in the water and my buddy reeled in a 15-20 lb skip jack tuna which they filleted right there and made some ceviche. We went up to Playa Santa Maria for some surprisingly good snorkeling with a large variety of fish and lunch. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and made sure you were never in need of food or drink. The salsa and guacamole, made right there, went very well with the cold Pacifico and margaritas. We had 14 snorkelers with three crew and a photographer. So plenty of room and lots of personal service. Note that their mast blew off in the hurricane, so no sailing but that didn't affect my trip at all. It's was a blast!

Hugo and the crew were great. Ended up having our own personal tour with just 4 of us. Crew drinks and food were great plus the whales gave a tremendous show. By the way Hugo, Go Hawks!

Great sunset cruise1

Overall cruise was outstanding. Crew was friendly and helpful. Views of different locations were great. Also whale viewings. Lot's of drinks, but more selection of snacks would have been nice. Only negative was that the crew were VERY pushy for tips.

It was a great trip. We saw several whales, and the sunset was beautiful! The staff was great, always ready to serve. The boat is comfortable. While there was some chop on the return, the boat takes it well and it’s a smooth ride. We would definitely book again.

Easy to book, easy to find. Even got to see some whales breaching near the Arch! Captain and crew were friendly. Got some great pics!

It was truly unforgettable. The crew's friendliness added a special touch to the experience. The atmosphere on the boat was relaxed, allowing us to fully enjoy the beauty of the whales without any distractions. We felt privileged compared to the crowded boats. Highly recommend this trip!

This trip was amazing! The two crew members were friendly and welcoming. We went with the expectation of seeing the sunset, and we got the BEST whale watching experience ever! The captain had no problem going where the whales were putting on a show. It was amazing and the sunset was beautiful as well!

So worth it. Don't go through your resort, it's twice the price. Will always use trip advisor for excursions. *********

Wonderful sailing cruise and crew!

We got a snorkeling and a sunset cruise coupon for La Princesa from a time share presentation. What a wonderful time! Captain Karim Osorio and crew Eduardo Rodriguez, Jorge Lopez, Miguel and Raul were outstanding. Very professional, attentive and always ready to assist. Captain Osorio loves to sail, and sail we did! I saw 3 or 4 other catamarans with us and no other ones had the sails up. Got to Santa Maria bay, 5 boats there already, but Captain Osorio got us in a great spot after some maneuvering, anchored and we got into the “fresh” cool water. Cold first, then after a couple of minutes it was okay for the hour we snorkeled. One hour was enough for me, Lisa spent about 10 minutes which was fine for her also. Great “instant friends living in the moment” couple with 2 kids from the Disney Boat, lady from CA, several Hispanic couples not speaking much English but lots of smiles, and Janet from Boise Idaho and her friend “Kiwi” from New Zealand/Idaho. Had a great time returning. Kids and mom lay on bow on the webbing, lots of waves and splashing and laughing! Walked to marina again for sunset cruise on La Princesa with Captain Osorio again. It was neat the they recognized us and Hola’ed! This cruise went along the Medano beach strip (neat to see the resorts from the Sea side), dodged two cruise ships to arch, both sides. Sand still under the arch, pacific side rough water, but cool. Captain Osorio again had sail up, both main sail and jib. Cool!!! Not as many instant friends as snorkeling tour, but still fun. Got all crew’s names! Highly recomend if you like sailing on catamaran, 20-40 people. 4 hours for snorkeling, 2+ for sunset cruise.

We booked the trip on the sailing catamaran La Princesa and what a great experience. The staff was very attentive, drinks were flowing and a mother and baby humpback gave us a tremendous show. Right after clearing the tip of the Baja (and taking pictures of the Arc) we encountered these whales. For over 2 hours they cavorted, breached lots of times right in front of us. Seen quite a few whales, but these truly delivered a show and the captain shared his knowledge with all of us. Simply a great trip!

La Princesa offers whale watching cruises among other sails. It's a catamaran which allows it to move faster than the big whale watching boats and get to the whales quicker. We had a great 2 hour cruise from 9-11 a.m. The crew is really great and of course the bartender always a favorite. A good beer, (served at 9:15 a.m. is a good thing), chips and salsa and some other pretzel snacks were served throughout. Also fun music including singing a happy birthday to a passenger beginning at 9:15 a.m. built the camaraderie. Out we went on the beautiful waters surrounding Cabo and sure enough came across several whales producing lots of oohs and aahs. It was just a memorable morning and everyone had a great time. Don't miss it. I'll do it again next year on this same boat.

August 2009: Staff was attentive. Tour guide said the catamaran was overbooked and it felt it. We were packed like sardines. There is no place to set your drink or food during lunch. Snorkeled to Santa Maria bay, not much to see there. Ladies toilet had poo in it the entire trip. Staff said not to go to the beach. I did anyway. I am physically fit and the beach was very difficult to swim up to due to the undertow & steep drop off. Snorkel gear was very cheap and low quality. Last year we did the Oceana boat. It was much better. Larger boat with more room, higher quality snorkel masks, great staff, affordable charge for photos in front of the arch, and it stops at Chileno Bay, a more swimmable bay with more fish to see. Lunch was tuna sandwiches, chips, guacamole, and plenty to drink. One hour is long time so take the life vest to float around on. Overall, would not recommend La Princesa to friends

A friend and I went on the snorkeling cruise with La Princessa. It was a lot of fun! I have only been snorkeling once before so I'm just a beginner. It was about a 45 minute ride to Santa Maria beach. The crew was very friendly and the service was good. The beach is pretty with white sand but you are not allowed on the beach itself. ADVICE= The crew makes it seem like the life jackets are optional when you get into the water to snorkel. TAKE ONE! It is a long swim to the rocks although it doesn't look like it from the boat. You cannot stand up once you get to the snorkeling spot. You will need a life vest to float on while you snorkel. Plus you may get tired and have trouble swimming back to the boat. You can swim around the boat if you prefer not to go far but then you will only see one type of fish. Lunch was tuna sandwiches, chips, guacamole, fruit, and plenty to drink. The captain taught me to drive the boat on the way back!!!! It's a good time even if you don't snorkel...you can suntan, enjoy sailing, or just swim to cool off.
