Nowhere is it more elegantly expressed than in the long, wide single-level interior - a testament to the 65’s ingenious flat floor design. Having such uncomplicated, single floor levels is normally reserved for much larger yachts, but our designers have achieved just that on this 65-footer. An elegant, beautifully proportioned Squadron awaits you.

The huge flybridge sums up the personality of this yacht. Spacious and easy to move around, yet packed with usable features. It has three distinct social areas: a forward cruising chaise longue and sun pad, aft facing sunbeds and a seating/dining area. A truly relaxing lounge area for family and friends to while away the day.

The free-flowing saloon area allows guests to interact more freely and with the galley positioned at the heart of the yacht there is every opportunity to socialise with all those around you. The master cabin enjoys a spacious, open-plan en suite and the forward cabin features a floating bed design - both have substantial wardrobe and storage space

The aft cabin has two unique personalities. You can specify it as a guest cabin with access via the cockpit, or as a crew cabin with its own private access through the transom. Furthermore, the hydraulic hi-lo bathing platform gradually introduces you to the water and is the perfect place to launch your tender.

(Bloomberg) -- Jefferies Financial Group Inc. Chief Executive Officer Rich Handler sold $65 million of shares in his investment bank partly to buy a present for himself — a yacht.

The CEO sold 1.5 million shares of Jefferies stock Wednesday at $43.50 each, according to a statement. It’s the first stock sale Handler has made in the 34 years he’s been at Jefferies, except for those used for tax purposes and charitable donations, the New York-based firm said. Proceeds from Wednesday’s sale are being used to buy a personal boat and pay tax obligations, Jefferies said.

“My sale of shares today was a gift to myself and my family, and I do not intend to sell any further shares,” Handler said in the statement. “I remain extremely bullish on Jefferies and fully committed to helping us continue to build the best independent, global and full-service investment-banking firm.”

Handler owns about 19.25 million Jefferies shares after Wednesday’s transaction. The sale represents about 7% of his aggregate holdings, according to the statement.

Handler is buying the boat from billionaire restaurateur and casino magnate Tilman Fertitta, a Jefferies client, according to a person familiar with the matter who asked not to be identified discussing information that isn’t public. Fertitta, owner of the Houston Rockets basketball team and Golden Nugget casino empire, is a longtime friend of Handler’s.

It’s not the first time Handler and Fertitta have done business together: the two men formed blank-check companies including Landcadia Holdings Inc., which went public eight years ago, and Landcadia Holdings III Inc., another special purpose acquisition company that eventually merged with a hardware supplier and is now known as Hillman Solutions Corp.

Fertitta has credited Handler with building a “juggernaut” that can go toe-to-toe with more established rivals.

“When we’re sitting around at night and talking and I think Rich is getting too big for his britches just because he’s worth a billion dollars now, I pull out my financial statements and put him back in his place,” Fertitta said in a 2021 interview.

• Jefferies CEO Rich Handler sold $65 million in company stock to buy a luxury yacht.
• He's buying a Westport 164 from his friend and Jefferies client Tilman Fertitta.
• Handler isn't planning any more stock sales, he said on Wednesday.

Jefferies CEO Rich Handler sold $65 million of his stock in the company to buy himself a gift — a luxury yacht.

Handler sold 1.5 million shares, or 7% of his holdings, to purchase a "personal boat and to pay tax obligations," the investment bank said in a Wednesday statement.

"My sale of shares today was a gift to myself and my family, and I do not intend to sell any further shares," Handler said in the statement. "I remain extremely bullish on Jefferies."

The boat is a Westport 164 yacht and was purchased from Jefferies client and Handler's longtime friend Tilman Fertitta, the Financial Times reported .

Fertitta is the billionaire CEO of hospitality company Landry's and owns the Houston Rockets, an NBA team. The two men jointly own Lancadia Holdings, a blank-check company.

Handler, who has been with the bank since 1990, has received about 70% of his pay in the form of company shares, Jefferies said in the statement. He has previously sold shares only for tax purposes and charity, the bank said.

Jefferies did not immediately respond to Business Insider's request for comment.

Investors often view executives' stock sales as a signal about lack of company confidence, so any sales are carefully messaged.

In October, JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon said he would sell 1 million of his 8.6 million shares, his first sale since becoming CEO in 2006. The filing announcing the planned sale said Dimon chose to sell the stocks "for financial diversification and tax-planning purposes" and that he "continues to believe the company's prospects are very strong." He sold the first of the sets of shares in February for $150 million and sold the remainder earlier this month , pocketing $183 million in total proceeds.
