Full of natural light, the beautiful and welcoming interiors accommodate up to ten charter guests in maximum comfort, providing them with 5 magnificent staterooms. These include a lavish master suite with an office and a spacious deluxe en suite bathroom, 2 VIP staterooms, as well as 2 twin guest cabins. Moreover, guests are pampered by a highly professional crew of 7 members.

The main deck of ANKA yacht hosts a well-appointed saloon and formal dining area. The salon features plenty of seating and lounging possibilities, with sofas and coffee tables - this area is ideal for social gatherings or simply unwind with a book in hand. The dining area offers a lovely setting for a more formal dinner or lunch.

ANKA Specifications

The spacious garage area creates an amazing beach/bathing platform, turning this entire space into a breath-taking beach club. A large selection of water toys is at guests’ disposal to enjoy during their vacation.

ANKA can reach a top speed of 23 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 21 knots. The vessel is also fitted with 'at anchor stabilisers', ensuring maximum comfort at anchor and on rough waters. She has been assigned the RINA Comfort Class certificate, given to yachts that provide a higher level of comfort when it comes to noise and vibration, both for crew and the passengers.

Yacht Charter Accommodation

Five staterooms provide comfortable accommodation for up to twelve guests. The staterooms include one master suite on the main deck, featuring an en suite bathroom with a bath and a separate shower a vanity, a study with a writing desk and a 32’’ LED TV, a king size bed, 46’’ LED TV, mini bar fridge, dressing area with walk in wardrobes. The lower deck hosts the remainder of the staterooms, including one full-beam VIP/Master stateroom with a king size bed, a bath and separate shower, a large L-shaped sofa, 40’ LED TV, telephone with intercom facility, was-in wardrobe; another VIP staterooms forward is fitted with a bath and separate shower, 32’’ LED TV, telephone with intercom; and two convertible twin staterooms with Pullman berths, 26’’ LED TV and an en suite bathroom. All staterooms have en suite bathrooms with Azarro toiletries.

Anka’s water toys selection, tenders and amenities include one Wiliams 625 DieselJet, two Seadoo Sparks jetski, three Seabob F5, two Paddle boards, two Canoes, assorted inflatables, assorted wakeboards and Skis, fishing gears, scuba sets (Rendez-vous diving only) and snorkelling gears. Known for her sparkling turquoise hull, the 40m/132ft superyacht ANKA proves she has a lot more to offer than just an eye-catching paintjob, with a plethora of similarly striking features perfectly suited to the lifestyle of a modern-day charterer.

Built in 2015, ANKA is the fifth hull in the award-winning 40M series from Princess Yachts and, combining a proven platform with bespoke refinement and ample amenities, she is another fine addition to the global charter fleet from the celebrated UK shipyard.

Instantly recognisable is superyacht ANKA ’s striking aquamarine-coloured hull and matching radar arch. Dubbed as ‘turquoise island’ by Princess Yachts , the glittering hue is wonderfully accentuated by the crisp white of her swept-back superstructure and certainly sets her apart from her sisterships.

Yet, despite their differing paintjobs, there are some important similarities between the likes of superyacht SOLARIS and superyacht ‘Imperial Princess , the latter of which was the first in the series and the winner of a prestigious World Superyacht Award after her launch in 2012.

All boast powerfully elegant lines and a commanding exterior that does little to hint at the large volumes within and across the decks. In fact, with a volume of 395 GT, the flagship build offers an incredible amount of space for a 40-metre superyacht.

Once aboard, guests can step into the Fendi Casa-designed interior from the main deck aft and be met by a light and airy open-plan main salon. Handsome wooden floorboards flow forward underfoot and a wide expanse of full-length windows frame the surrounds with whatever idyllic cruising grounds ANKA is docked in.

A large silver-grey rug designates a lounge, where two pale-coloured sofas and matching armchairs and foot rests invite guests to relax or socialise in absolute comfort, and the scene is completed by a central circular coffee table made of polished striped wood.

A highlight here are the two hydraulic balconies to port and starboard which, with the help of full-length sliding glass doors, increase the sense of space in the lounge, as well as provide a secluded spot over the ocean in which to read a book, catch up with a loved one over a coffee or simply soak up the beautiful scenery.

The atmosphere is one of casual elegance and extraordinary comfort

Forward of the seating area is a formal dining setup. Matching the coffee table is a striped, high-gloss table surrounded by 10 sumptuous dining chairs, while oak appears in two cabinets to port and starboard, and in the panelling of the forward bulwark.

Overall, the atmosphere is one of casual elegance and extraordinary comfort. Contemporary in look and lacking in elaborate detailing, the design is perfect for the modern guest who wants to feel at home and truly unwind with their family on a charter vacation.

To starboard, the dining area leads straight into ANKA’s marble-floored main foyer, where guests can reach the lower and upper decks via a central staircase, and there is also a port-side entrance to main salon which, with easy access to the galley, is reserved for the crew.

Leading off the hallway is a short corridor bookended by an office, equipped with an expanse of windows so charterers can catch up on business without missing out on spectacular views. The room also forms the entrance into the master suite, which spans across the forward section of the yacht.

Enter the suite from behind the bed, which sits on the centre line facing a widescreen television on an oak cabinet. Wooden floorboards and beautifully grained, polished oak wall panels are offset by a large, pale-coloured, circular rug and textured upholstery in creams and pale gold.

Two deep armchairs and a coffee table to port offer the principal charterer a private place to lounge and, behind the TV, a narrow bulwark forms part of a vanity table within easy reach of two walk-in closets located to port and starboard.  

In the forward-most section, a contemporary en-suite bathroom is clad in creamy coloured marble and contrasting tiles in earthy brown hues and chrome accents. His-and-hers sinks are joined by a large shower, head and bathtub, and natural light is provided by a rectangular skylight.

On the lower deck, a VIP suite, one double cabin and two convertible twin cabins complete the accommodation line-up, meaning ANKA is able to sleep up to 10 guests on a private yacht charter in a flexible arrangement.

The two twins cabins are located amidships and are divided by the central corridor, while, the VIP suite stretches across the full beam of the yacht aft, incorporating a vanity area, sofa, walk-in wardrobe, and an en-suite with his-and-hers sinks, a shower and bath tub.

Likewise, the double cabin’s large en-suite bathroom is equipped with these amenities. All the staterooms boast similar styling to the master suite, with pale grey carpets, meaning no guest will be left short of experiencing the yacht’s exceptional laid-back sophistication.

If guests require a more casual setting in which to get together, head up to the upper deck where a skylounge awaits. Again, the space is defined by wooden floorboards and ample glazing, but a huge L-shaped sofa upholstered in cream leather is the focus of attention.

A coffee table wrapped in a metallic fabric sits on a pale-coloured rug, and the cabinetry is made of a high-gloss dark wood, contrasting to the oak wall panelling of the forward bulwark. Opposite the sofa, to port, are two easy armchairs and matching foot stools.

There is also a widescreen television on the forward bulwark, so guests can watch a movie or catch the big game here, as well as using the lounge as a place to socialise. Again, crew have their own entrance for improved service on board.

Opportunities for entertaining and relaxing continue across ANKA’s decks, which are all minimalist in style with teak details and furniture made from natural materials. This design retains the easy-going ambience of the interior, and ensures a harmony between the indoor and outdoor spaces.

Open to the sun on the main deck is a seating area formed of a fixed U-shaped sofa, two square tables and movable armchairs. A casual lunch can be enjoyed here and, with a bar further forward, the space also acts as a greeting area with the capacity to serve welcome drinks.

Wraparound decks on this level also allow guests to easily reach the drop-down balconies located to port and starboard. A set of stairs on either side of the yacht forward then lead up to a sunning station and seating on the foredeck, offering much privacy when docked in a busy port.

The upper deck aft, meanwhile, can be reached from a staircase to port on the deck below. A large, 12-seater table sits at the centre creating the main alfresco dining area on board, where guests can catch up on the day’s activities over a delicious meal cooked by the resident chef.

Transparent bulwarks ensure the area is sheltered from windy weather conditions, while still allowing panoramic views to be taken in when sitting down, and there is enough room along the aft section of the deck for a pair of sun loungers.

Providing the very best in outdoor living, however, is the sundeck. Chaise lounges are open to the sun aft and, after a sunbathing session, guests can take a dip in the teak-trimmed, six-person Jacuzzi located just a few steps away.

Forward of the spa pool is a comfortable entertainment area with two sofas and a sleek bar. Bestowed with brilliant vistas, the area is capable of serving any occasion, from watching a romantic sunset to sipping cocktails with friends or taking some time out with a good book.

An electronically operated sliding Bimini attached to the radar arch also enables the large space to be covered from the sun is shade is required, further increasing its versatility.

The remaining deck area left on board is an oversized beach club, which certainly doesn’t disappoint. A drawbridge-style transom door is lowered to create a large waterside terrace, where guests can recline before cooling off in the refreshing ocean.

Lowering the transom door also reveals the vast array of water toys stocked on board. In fact, ANKA is a RYA-approved water sports centre, and the swim platform is perfect for jumping aboard the jet-skis, water scooters, stand-up paddleboards, water skis and towable toys.

There is also snorkelling and fishing gear, and scuba diving equipment for rendezvous diving. Plus, there is enough room in the stern garage for a 6.2-metre tender and two personal water craft.

After catching the attention of onlookers with her sparkling turquoise hull, ANKA continues to captivate all those who step aboard, with her bespoke style and long list of modern amenities laced across her incredibly voluminous interior and exterior.

Radiating casual elegance, her interior entices with its contemporary design and remarkable comfort, offering a tranquil sanctuary in which guests can spend quality time with family and friends, as well as indulge in unadulterated relaxation to return home feeling rested and rejuvenated.

If you want  to cruise inconspicuously in a charter yacht, Anka may not be your best choice. The hull of the 132-foot trideck from England’s Princess Yachts is painted a vibrant turquoise that is sure to draw attention wherever it travels. The color was selected by the yacht owners’ young daughter and dubbed Turquoise Island by the builder—maybe after the quirky, similarly colored landmark in London’s Notting Hill neighborhood. (It’s a combination flower shop and public restroom.)

For both the building and the yacht, the color has proven to draw customers, not deter them: Anka is among the most popular vessels in the fleet of Princess Charter, the builder’s charter partner. It’s available in the Mediterranean during the summer ($166,000 a week, based on the exchange rate in mid-May) and the Caribbean during the winter ($135,000–$150,000 a week).

Anka is the fifth hull in Princess Yachts’ semicustom 40M series, the brand’s flagship line. It was among the star attractions at the Yachts Miami Beach show in March, and while in the area, it hosted a small group of media members for a day. Anka was anchored in a quiet cove near West Palm Beach, far from its base of Cyprus.

All seven crew members, including the chef, are Greek. They created a warm, welcoming vibe for the guests, who were invited to explore the yacht’s five exterior social areas: the beach club, foredeck, aft main deck, aft upper deck, and sundeck. At the beach club, some of us tried out the snorkeling gear, paddleboards, Jet Skis, and Seabobs. Afterward we moved to the upper deck, where the 12-person dining table was laden with bottles of wine and huge platters of stone crab, lobster, whole fish, and salad. Following dinner, we adjourned to the sundeck, which is partially covered and outfitted with a six-person hot tub, a bar, lounges for sunbathing, and a pair of sofas. We were served coffee and digestifs while we enjoyed a sunset as brilliant as Anka’s hull.

Of Anka’s many gathering points, the beach club offers the most fun. The fold-down teak platform creates a deck for sunning or swimming, and the water toys stored in the adjacent garage range from Jet Skis to kayaks. Our group especially enjoyed the Seabobs—compact machines that can dive deep into the water or pull you along the surface as though you are bodysurfing. The yacht’s other social areas, on the decks above the beach club, provide space for parties, intimate dinners, or privacy.

Main Saloon

The saloon presents a sharp contrast to the exterior. With its wenge wood flooring and high-gloss walnut bulkheads, it’s as refined as the hull is bold. It features a formal dining table, Fendi Casa decor and fabrics, and furniture custom-made by Princess. The room is spacious, and it becomes even more expansive when you open the balconies that fold out from either side. The skylounge on the deck above is a smaller space where you can relax and watch a movie or read a novel.

Master Suite

Like the saloon, the master suite features Fendi Casa accents and wenge wood flooring. It also includes walnut furniture and joinery. The private office at the entrance to the suite is designed for work projects that cannot wait, and the large, wide windows on either side of the bedroom offer the yacht’s best views. The full-beam bathroom has two sinks, a spa tub, and a large shower. Cream-colored Marfil stone flooring adds elegance to the space. Anka accommodates a total of 12 guests in the master suite, the full-beam VIP stateroom, and three other rooms. One has a double bed, and each of the other two has twin beds and a Pullman that can serve as a third berth.

General Rules

No footwear onboard. No pets allowed. No glassware. Drink responsibly. No water activities after 7pm. Smoking is only allowed at the rear of the yacht when stationary. Please listen to the captain’s instructions and do not commit rash acts that will endanger the charter or any passengers.

Rescheduling

One reschedule is allowed if the request is made 14 days prior to the commencement of the rental, subjected to administrative charges of up to $300, if applicable. For unforeseen circumstances, please inform us and we will try our best to help you. Otherwise, any no show is considered as a cancellation with no refunds.

Cancellation

Up to 100% refund of the rental price if the booking is cancelled 30 days and more prior to the commencement of the charter. Up to 50% refund of the rental price if the booking is cancelled 14 to 29 days prior to commencement of the charter.

Terms and Conditions

This yacht does not refund if there is a shortfall of guests after payment. You might want to book your charter for the confirmed number of guests and add on within the maximum capacity nearer to the charter date.

Only fully vaccinated passengers are allowed onboard the SZH-licensed pleasure craft. Unvaccinated passengers (other than recovered individuals, medically ineligible individuals, or children aged 12 years and below) are not allowed to board the craft.

All rates listed are for basic charters only (4-5 hours depending on the yacht).

BBQ pit and cooking services DO NOT include food.

Ice (otherwise stated), disposable cutlery, and cups are not provided.

In case of wet weather, the Captain will still sail out if it does not pose any safety issues. If it is not possible to sail out, the Captain will try to delay the sail-out timing. If it is not possible to sail, the charter will be rescheduled to a later date (subject to availability). No cancellations are allowed. The Captain will decide what is the next course of action. Customers are still required to proceed to the marina and wait for the captain’s final decision.

Disembarkation at Lazarus Island Pontoon is no longer permitted by MPA unless the yacht has a tender boat.

Balloons are prohibited due to marine life preservation.

The Color Turquoise: Princess’ Anka

Naming your yacht after your young daughters is a heartfelt gesture. Allowing them to choose a bold color for the vessel’s exterior takes parental love to a new level.

The Russian owner of the Princess 40M Anka christened the yacht after his daughters, Anna and Katerina, and then asked the U.K. builder to go with their choice of “turquoise island” on the hull. It is about as vibrant as Joseph’s Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and certainly as bright a coat of paint as any Princess has ever sported.

During her U.S. debut at Yachts Miami Beach, Anka probably collected more selfies than any other yacht. Yachtspotters literally stood in line to get a shot of themselves with her as the backdrop. She also has proved a popular charter vessel, partly because of the color and partly because she has a battery of water toys, a 10-foot-long swim platform and a comfortable flybridge. (And a professional Greek crew, but I’ll get to that later.) I loved being up on that flybridge during my day on board Anka , moored in a nice little cove on the Intracoastal Waterway near Palm Beach. I got a sense of what this boat is really like under her aquamarine facade.

The elegance began when I stepped into the ­salon from the cockpit. The salon’s wenge plank sole, high-gloss walnut bulkheads and Fendi furniture give the space a contemporary look that is as subtly refined as the exterior is bright and cheerful. Her owner requested an opaque glass wall aft so that light from the cockpit isn’t blocked, but the salon still feels like a private space.

On the builder’s other 40M yachts, columns separate the living and dining areas, but Anka ‘s owner went with an open floor plan. Sole-to-ceiling windows fill the salon with natural light, while foldout balconies on both sides add another 10 feet to Anka ‘s 26-foot-plus beam. Princess says its 40M has the most volume of any yacht in its class. With the balconies open, it sure does feel that way.

During the final year of each M-Class yacht’s fit-out, more than 100 craftspeople install the teak decks, build cabinets and joinery, fashion leather and wire  27 miles of cable.

I would add that if build quality is the measuring stick, this yacht is exceptional. The Fendi furniture and other interior appointments add a sophisticated, Italian flair, and Princess’ in-house craftsmen are the real heroes. Princess’ seven yards in Plymouth, England, build almost everything in-house to maximize quality control. The builder produces 26 models, from 39 feet to this 40M (131-foot-9-inch) flagship, which means the thousands of parts that Princess craftsmen create are an impressive total. The shipyard makes 237 types of doors alone. And more than 40 sizes and styles of them are found on Anka .

Forward on the main deck, the master suite has a library at the entrance with the bedroom beyond. A white leather oval on the ceiling matches the white oval-shaped carpet, which leads to the full-beam head far forward. A vanity is between the bedroom bulkhead and the head, which has his-and-her sinks, a spa tub, toilets and a shower. A Crema Marfil stone sole adds an extra dose of elegance.

Princess builds this 131-footer in five- and six-stateroom versions. Anka has five staterooms, and Pullmans in two of them mean accommodations for 12 guests on board. With both layouts, the second deck has a second salon abaft the pilothouse that connects to outdoor dining for 12.

After we anchored in the ICW cove, the crew brought food and drinks up to the flybridge, where the Jacuzzi bubbled and the Bose stereo system belted out ’90s tunes.

Anka ‘s crew of seven are Greek, warm and gracious. The stews chatted with guests as they refilled drinks and brought out plates of warm appetizers. As the afternoon sun gained height, some of us headed down to the beach club, changed into wetsuits and jumped in the water. Anka has a flotilla of water toys, including two Sea-Doos, stand-up paddleboards, scuba equipment, and a Williams jet tender powerful enough to pull water-skiers. For me, the must-have machines were the Seabobs, battery-powered water toys that pull a person either along the water’s surface or down into its depths. We spent a few hours letting the Seabobs pull us back and forth between the yacht and the clear shoals below.

When the sun lowered , everyone gathered at the dining table on the second deck for seafood and Greek wine. With stone crabs, lobster, raw fish and salads, the dinner could’ve been straight out of a taverna on Corfu — Dionysus would have smiled. The crew injected an Eastern Mediterranean sensibility into a stretch of water that’s about as blue-blood American as it gets, a skill that should come in handy while Anka is chartering in the Mediterranean during summers and the Caribbean during winters.

We were comfortable at anchor because Anka has TRAC fin stabilization. Had we wanted to rush back to the marina, the yacht’s twin 3,509 hp MTU 12V engines give her a top-end of 21 knots. We spent more of our time at her friendly cruise speed of 15 knots, however, and I wondered what it would be like to drop her down to 10 knots to take advantage of her 2,000-nautical-mile range.

Certainly, given her vibrant hull color, people up and down the East Coast would see Anka coming. And they would be right to want to snap a photo with this Princess flagship.
