My family and I came here for a party and wow, it was a nice yacht club. As we walked in, it was very spacious, and we loved the wood interior. I was surprised to see that there was a bowling alley there , that was pretty cool. I would have never expected that at all. Overall, I enjoyed spending time with my family and watching the views of across the way at the airport . It's too bad that there was nasty weather outside so that I could have seen the city of Boston. I am sure it looks beautiful in the summertime.
Logan Airport was across the way and loved seeing the planes come in and out.
I absolutely love how they converted this and made it a light.
Love this Yacht Club. It's so fun and inviting. Our Squantum Yacht Club youth sailors race every year with them in their wonderful Make A Wish Regatta. For any youth sailors looking for another great regatta, Squantum Yacht Club's Lipton Cup is not to be missed www.squantumyc.org/lipton-cup-regatta
Very awesome. I have been a member at this yacht club for a while, and I have nothing to say but positive things about it. The food is excellent. It is always so fresh and I cannot get enough of it. You also get perks when you are a member and those are redeemable for food and or drinks at the Pilot House. The youth sailing program is excellent, and you can go for the summer. You also can store a kayak in the docks, which is another perks. There are plenty of slips for your boats and always room. The staff are very nice and so are the bartenders. They are always willing to help with all your needs. The place is always very tidy and clean and there is never a mess in sight. The bathrooms are also sparkly clean. The hall is absolutely stunning and is a gorgeous spot for a function or gathering. There is also a bowling alley. You can rent it or rent a lane for a party or have it part of your function. The Lobster Dinner is always nice, and is a very nice night. 100% recommend for you to become a member if you live in Winthrop or even East Boston and Revere.

First Look with Dad!
We met Dan and the groomsmen at Piers Park in East Boston for a First Look and portraits.
Blessed with really beautiful weather 🙂
I’m happiest when we can shoot portraits that are pretty, flattering and if anyone wants to be goofy – they can be. Really it’s people that just get to be themselves.
We had about an hour of time at Piers Park and were happy to take our time shooting portraits before heading to Cottage Park Yacht Club.
Outdoor portraits on the dock were perfect and we dodged actual yacht club members loading on and off their boats on a busy Saturday.

The Boats We Use
Many sailors choose to bring their own boats to the program but you don’t need to own a boat to participate!
The CPYC YS owns Optimist, N10, C420, & RS Feva dinghies- all available to junior sailors during their classes.
The Optimist is the largest one design racing fleet in the world and the international standard in junior instruction. A skipper can race Optimists until December 31st in the year they turn 15. Optimist racing events are divided into fleets. Green fleet is a special fleet for beginners. Green fleet sailors can be any age up to 15. A green fleet might have skippers who are as young as 6 and as old as 15. Green fleet focuses on keeping sailors having fun and not as much on competition. After moving out of green fleet, skippers who are 10 or under sail in the white fleet. Skippers who are 11 and 12 sail in the blue fleet. Skippers who are 13, 14, or 15 sail in the red fleet The class website is www.USODA.org
The national N10 class was originally introduced as the Turnabout class with production started in 1953 by Harold R. Turner as a small wooden single or double-handed, cat rigged dinghy. The boats were initially built as a junior training boat, although adults enjoy the boats as well. The class has grown mainly in the New England and Northeastern regions of the U.S. Fleets are located in Northern Lake George, New York; Boston, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine and New Jersey. The class is 4,200 boats strong and is competitively rigged and can fly a spinnaker. The class website is www.n10association.com
The C420 is the most popular and versatile double-handed junior boat in North America. The C420 is durable and safe while providing the challenge of having a spinnaker and trapeze. The C420 is widely used by many high school and college sailing programs. The boat is best suited for sailors 12-18 years of age and over 100 pounds. The Cottage Park Yacht Club of Winthrop, Massachusetts is right on the water of Boston Harbor. The room is very large with a relatively low ceiling. If you're looking for a room that can accommodate a lot of people, this might be right for you. Fair warning though, parking is very tight, so you'll probably want to reserve a shuttle service.
