Most expenses are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), a fund that is added on top of the charter price. The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption). You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled). The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.">Price Terms: Plus Expenses

PRESENTING M/Y NO BAD IDEAS

The 130 foot motoryacht NO BAD IDEAS originally hit the charter scene at the St. Maarten Charter Yacht Exhibition. Built by Westport, the famed builder designed the megayacht for fun and placed a great emphasis on fishing. She is now focused on Bahamas yacht charter vacations.

The owner of the motor yacht NO BAD IDEAS is a hardcore fisherman. He had Westport outfit the luxury yacht with a 31-foot powerboat tender (built by Jupiter, one of the best you can buy) as well as a 19.6 foot Hell’s Bay flats fishing boat for taking into the narrows where the bigger tender can’t go. NO BAD IDEAS has 68 different kinds of rods and reels on board, all organized for fly fishing, deep-sea dropping (to 1,200 feet with electric reels), trolling, and every other kind of fishing you can imagine.

BAHAMA BOUND

Clients looking for a Bahamas yacht charter will appreciate the yacht’s commitment to adventure-filled charters. From fishing to diving, to snorkeling and waterskiing — anything goes. When the waves are crashing on the beach, the yacht offers five surfboards, plus kneeboards, wakeboards, and even a skurf rider.

The yacht underwent a refit in the summer of 2007 to make it compliant with the MCA Code (a safety precaution for charter yachts), as well as to make room for more water toys, including Jet Skis.

Double doors open to the yacht’s Aft Deck and walk forward. To your port and starboard, you’ll find 2 soft chairs with ottomans. The luxury motor yacht’s conversation area is next with a deep rich brown sofa, chair with an ottoman, and two burgundy leather rocking chairs surrounding a wooden, granite-accented coffee table. The middle of the yacht’s salon contains a 42″ pop-up Plasma TV and full entertainment system/Surround sound. I cannot begin to thank you for steering us in the direction of NO BAD IDEAS! Truly they live up to their name. There are NO BAD IDEAS on that boat and NO was never an answer. I’m not quite sure where to begin, the boat was gorgeous, meticulous and the interiors are beautiful! The food by Chef Warren was AMAZING, he is truly a magician. We all want a Chef Warren at home! The activities that the crew planned for us were so much fun and something for everyone. They were up for new ideas and always did everything with a smile.

What I want to express to you the most, is just how fabulous this crew really is! We felt like family when we left. In fact my mother in law began to cry and the girls were crying as well. This crew is absolutely STELLAR! Each and everyone one of them are fantastic individuals, hard working, always smiling and FUN! We had so much darn fun with them. We have been on charters before and we have never seen a crew like this. They are so close, work so well together and you can really see just how much they love their jobs. They have something really special there!

You will definitely be hearing from us again, as we told them we WILL BE BACK! I'm wondering if it would be possible for you to share our experience with the boat owner, he is coming on board this coming week. We appreciate all that you do for us.

Broker Testimonial:

Dear Owners of NO BAD IDEAS

I have just personally finished a great trip onboard NO BAD IDEAS where I had one of my favorite clients onboard. Where we were only onboard for a few days, I wanted to share with you that everything was executed seamlessly. Your professional crew are amazing and the thing that impressed me most was that your key crew members shared with me that they want to retire with you as the owner. Besides the crew, the refit that you completed has to be my #1 refit in the 40 mtr size range. Very smart choices from the relocation of the hot tub, to installing the big table forward on the sundeck. Very smart!!!

Needless to say, we will be chartering NO BAD IDEAS later this year.

One of the most difficult parts of my job is keeping up with crew changes. Many crew members are continuously seeking the next bigger boat or bigger pay check, so I commended them on wanting to stay loyal. Great job on your part for selecting a great team. At the same time, he became the lead guitarist in an oldies cover band, playing weddings, pubs, festivals, and more. After working as an engineer across the continent of Africa for six years, he realized the joy he found in travel and decided a career in yachting would allow him to work while seeing more of the world. His first marine engineering assignment had him crossing the Atlantic on a sailing catamaran from Cape Town to Grenada alongside three other crew members. As much as he loves the sea, he is equally passionate about renovating and general woodwork. His goal is to complete his
Chief Engineer 3000GT license and start working on a rotational basis so he can have time on land to start doing home renovations. First starting off as a Deckhand, Divan has learned the ins and outs of vessels and is now in the process of obtaining his SV license. Friends would describe Divan as energetic, enthusiastic, and eager. He is currently trying to learn how to play the saxophone but also enjoys running and cycling in his spare time.

Name: Cameron Green

Position: Bosun
Nationality: South African
Description:
Education/Certifications: Bachelor of Arts in Graphic/ Web Design, Master of Yachts 200GT
Languages Spoken: English

Cameron grew up in Cape Town, South Africa with a very athletic family as both of his parents were sponsored water-skiers. Capitalizing on his athletic genes, during high school Cameron started to take stand-up paddleboarding to the next level and began competing on the local circuit. Ever since he was little, Cameron was always on the water as his family had a boat. This led him to get introduced to yachting at a young age. Cameron loves to combine his photography and videography skills with his water sports background so guests can always count on Cameron to capture some great footage. He is known for being patient and is always willing to teach anyone that is willing to learn. In Cameron’s spare time you can find him being a videographer, stand-up paddleboarding, sailing, golfing, hydro-foiling, wakeboarding, surfing, snorkeling, or hiking. He hopes all guests leave NO BAD IDEAS with a record of nothing but great memories.

The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption). Memento Vivere Description

Cruising area of memento vivere, accommodations, specification, water sports, scuba diving, entertainment, memento vivere crew profile.

Captain Austin McClure From the keel up, Austin knows boats and how they operate. As a Merchant Marine and graduate of Texas A&M Maritime Academy with a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Transportation, he received extensive training on vessels and life at sea. Austin currently holds a USCG 1600GRT Master license as well as a 2nd Mate Unlimited. Austin has a passion for the sea and all the adventure within it. He has traveled the world aboard many types of commercial vessels such as Jones Act ships, OSVs, and offshore tugs. As Austin transitioned into the sunnier side of the industry, he has been in command of chartered sail and motor yachts up to 150’. His travels have taken him to places and ports around America as well as all over the Caribbean, Hawaiian and Micronesian Islands, Philippines, Singapore, Panama Canal, Middle East, Black Sea. With Austin’s competency in seamanship and hospitality, he is ready to take you anywhere and deliver world class customer service. Mate Sam Smith Sam grew up fishing and boating on small lakes in Indiana and eventually sparked an interest in sailing on the Great Lakes. He graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL with a BA in Business Administration and a Master’s in Finance. After school, Sam started working in Chicago and eventually decided to purchase a sailboat, a 28’ sloop. He quickly realized he has a strong desire to be on the water full-time, so he decided it was time to move to the yachting capital of the world, Fort Lauderdale, FL. Sam has a strong desire for adventure which has helped him develop his skills on the water. Sam has spent the first 3 years of his yachting career in the Bahamas and Caribbean where he furthered his learning in key skills such as shallow water navigation, finding and diving deep coral reefs, and fishing in a variety of ways. On his time off, you can find Sam and his wife managing Crew Haven, crew housing based in Fort Lauderdale. Chief Engineer Josh Bekker Hailing from South Africa, Josh brings 8 years of maritime expertise, stemming from a family legacy of electricians and engineers. A professional problem solver, he ensures smooth sailing for all onboard. Beyond his technical prowess, Josh is an avid fisherman, kiteboarder, and surfer, with experience captaining vessels for deep-sea fishing in Mozambique. With 4 years in the Mediterranean and another 4 in the States, Bahamas, and the Caribbean, he guarantees a safe and unforgettable voyage for all guests. Bosun Michael Pinero Growing up in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Michael was fortunate to be surrounded by the salty sea air and picturesque beaches. From an early age, Michael was drawn to boats, an interest that was cultivated through the expertise of his father, who is employed at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, and his grandfather, who served as an Admiral in the U.S. Navy. After relocating to Florida, Michael was introduced to the world of mega-yachts, a discovery that cemented his passion for maritime life. When Michael isn´t on the water, you´ll catch him watching sports and creating great laughs with his friends and family. Chef Christiana Goohs Born and raised in DC, Christiana Goohs grew up in a family who had a deep appreciation for food. As her passion for cooking grew, Christiana attended the Culinary Institute of America where she graduated with an Associates in Pastry Arts and Bachelor’s in Business Management. With all of her travels through Europe and Asia it is no surprise to find most of Christiana´s favorite dishes are internationally influenced. It was at the CIA that she discovered her love of wine - after working as a chef for multiple fine dining and Michelin star restaurants around the world, she cut her teeth at a Washington, DC wine bar and ultimately passed the Sommelier exam and WSET level 3 in wine. Currently, she utilizes her wine knowledge to help guests pair their meals with specific bottles. Christiana´s enthusiastic energy, innovative menu, and top-notch cooking skills allow her to provide her guests an extraordinary vacation. Chief Stewardess Molly Poorman Born and raised in beautiful Miami, Florida. I grew up where my family and i would spend our weekends on the water. From fishing, to sailing or just enjoying the beaches of the east coast. Ive been in the hospitality industry for over 15 years, graduating from Florida international university, one of the top hospitality programs in the nation. After college i realized sitting behind a desk was not for me. I have a natural inclination to work with people and that is how i realized that merging my love for the ocean and people can be done through yachting. Throughout my time in the industry, I’ve worked for prestigious programs in all aspects of the interior. I have true a passion for great service and making people happy in anyway possible. I´ve traveled all through Alaska, New England , The Caribbean, Central America, South America, South East Asia, And the Mediterranean. I truly enjoy experiencing and learning the different cultures that come with every destination. In my free time i enjoy being outdoors. From Skiing, to wake surfing, or just doing yoga on the beach ( or on the teak!) , Serenity seems to always accompany me. Second Stewardess Ryann Anderson Meet Ryann! Born and raised in Canada’s true north to a family of adventurers, she quickly developed a love for travel and exploration. She brings a wealth of experience to the world of luxury yachting. Ryann is a seasoned hospitality professional with a flair for event planning and a yachting career that spans Florida, the Pacific Northwest, and the Mediterranean. Her passion for service shines through in every aspect. With a knack for curating unforgettable experiences and a commitment to excellence, Ryann is primed to elevate your charter with unprecedented levels of hospitality. Well we are on our way home from what was the most memorable and fun week ever! I´m wondering if it would be possible for you to share our experience with the boat owner, he is coming on board this coming week. I know he knows what he has in this crew, but it is always nice to hear from someone else.

***December 29 - January 5, 2022***

Guest Feedback: Thank you as always for arranging such an amazing trip for us. We absolutely loved the boat and the crew were some of the best crew that we have had on our charters over the years. We definitely plan to charter NO BAD IDEAS again. We appreciate all that you do for us. Broker Testimonial: Dear Owners of NO BAD IDEAS I have just personally finished a great trip onboard NO BAD IDEAS where I had one of my favorite clients onboard. Thank you for being such a good owner! I look forward to sending more business your way.

***December 2021***

Dear No Bad Ideas Crew, To say we had a great time would be an understatement. Thank you beyond for your hard work and kindness. We will truly miss you all. Until we meet again...xo!

***July 2021***

We wanted to thank you for the most special week onboard NO BAD IDEAS. We were blessed with good weather and exemplary service by the entire crew. The boat is a showstopper. Your leadership and professionalism certainly reverberates in all departments of the vessel. The team seemed to work very well together, creating a great guest atmosphere. Pete, Thor, and Neil were superb, balancing safety and sporting fun in all activities. Kat was also great in the water. The interior staff, led by Chief Stewardess Xan, were expeditious in their service and painstaking attention to detail. Her daily meetings with us about service and menu planning were great to allow for a personal but flexible experience. Bo and Kat were so attentive and personable. My kids are still raving about the meals...especially the sushi! Kuddos to Chef Olga, who is not only talented but welcoming in her kitchen.

***May 25 - June 2, 2021***

Dear Jon, Xan, Pete, Bo, Lucie, Niel, Kat and Thor the crew, It is impossible to capture the beautiful colors of the Exumas and the water, and also impossible to describe in words our thanks for such an incredible week with you. We had an amazing time – every single day! Your attention to detail in every way, and your strong work ethic made our time on the boat so enjoyable. Chef Lucie, your bright smile and amazing food were some of the highlights of our day! My husband and I so enjoyed being together and made some of the best memories of our lives – and all of you were a part of it. We have made some forever friends! Thank you!
