Seafarers can customize the layout, too. The galley can be positioned on the main deck or in one of the hulls, while the crew cabins can be located in the stern or bow. You can also pick between four or three cabins, including a spacious owner’s stateroom, two doubles and a kid’s cabin or a guest cabin that doubles as a gym.

Outside, meanwhile, wide side decks lead to an open foredeck with a comfy lounge and a small dining area. The main deck aft sports a larger alfresco dining table with room for your whole posse. Further aft, a hi-lo platform in the stern can accommodate a tender for ship-to-shore transfers. The platform also provides swimmers with quick and easy access to the water.

Up top, the generous flybridge is equipped with ample lounge seating for sunbathing or relaxing with friends. VisionF says there is a long list of options for kitting out the space.

In terms of propulsion, the standard VisionF 60 will be powered by two 360 hp Volvo Penta IPS 600 diesel engines for a maximum speed of approximately 21 knots. The cat’s draft is two feet fully loaded, so navigating shallow waters will be no problem. To top it off, solar panels can be fitted to the deckhouse roof to generate clean, renewable energy to power some of the hotel load. Battery banks can also be added to store excess energy.

Construction on the first unit will begin in early 2023, with delivery available in spring 2024.

VisionF Yachts in Turkey has unveiled its new flagship: the VisionF 100. Hull No. 1 is already sold, with delivery expected to the owner in March 2025.

The VisionF 100 will have a nearly 40-foot beam, with an owner’s choice of layouts that can include as many as six staterooms for guests. While the builder usually constructs its vessels in aluminum, the VisionF 100 will be built with a Kevlar composite. Draft will be less than 4 feet, making the yacht capable of cruising the Bahamas.

Onboard amenities are expected to include cockpit dining with convertible seating, a foredeck with an optional glass-bottom hot tub and a sundeck with dining space, sun beds and a bar.

Depending on the stateroom layout that owners select, the yacht can be built with as many as three crew cabins.

What’s the power package? Quad Volvo Penta IPS1050s, for a projected top speed of 22 knots.

Hull of 31m "ultramodern" VisionF 101 catamaran turned

VisionF Yachts has turned the hull on its VisionF 101 catamaran, marking an important milestone for the Turkish shipyard. The 30.7-metre yacht will now be transferred to another facility to begin assembly and interior production.

Described as an "ultramodern catamaran", the VisionF 101 has been built with an aluminium hull and will reportedly be equipped "with the latest technology". 

Accommodation will be across four guest cabins and a master cabin. While details have been kept tightly under wraps, initial renderings reveal a plunge pool, ample sun loungers and a large, al fresco seating area both on the sun deck and forward of the main deck. The VisionF 101 also features floor-to-ceiling windows and lateral-opening balconies for airy, light-filled interiors.

According to BOATPro , VisionF Yachts has three yachts currently under construction.

The shipyard last shared Cotton Candy with BOAT International , a 24.6-metre catamaran painted a custom shade of pink.

Guests can bask in the sun on comfortable loungers, unwind on sunbeds, enjoy alfresco dining, or sip cocktails at the sundeck bar.

Step inside the VisionF 100, and you are welcomed into a generous 100-square-meter main salon that epitomizes sophistication and comfort. The two hulls, configurable to meet individual owners' preferences, can accommodate up to six en-suite guest staterooms, a fully equipped galley, and, depending on the chosen guest stateroom layout, as many as three crew cabins with separate access. Clients have the option to indulge in a luxurious forward-facing master stateroom spanning 30 square meters, complete with private access to the foredeck.

The VisionF 100 is powered by two MAN 800HP engines, delivering an expected maximum speed of 18 knots, ensuring swift and efficient travel. With its innovative design, state-of-the-art amenities, and commitment to providing a superlative yachting experience, the VisionF 100 NG stands as a testament to VisionF Yachts' dedication to pushing boundaries.

First refuelling for Russia’s Akademik Lomonosov floating NPP

The FNPP includes two KLT-40S reactor units. In such reactors, nuclear fuel is not replaced in the same way as in standard NPPs – partial replacement of fuel once every 12-18 months. Instead, once every few years the entire reactor core is replaced with and a full load of fresh fuel.

The KLT-40S reactor cores have a number of advantages compared with standard NPPs. For the first time, a cassette core was used, which made it possible to increase the fuel cycle to 3-3.5 years before refuelling, and also reduce by one and a half times the fuel component in the cost of the electricity produced. The operating experience of the FNPP provided the basis for the design of the new series of nuclear icebreaker reactors (series 22220). Currently, three such icebreakers have been launched.

The Akademik Lomonosov was connected to the power grid in December 2019, and put into commercial operation in May 2020.

Electricity generation from the FNPP at the end of 2023 amounted to 194 GWh. The population of Pevek is just over 4,000 people. However, the plant can potentially provide electricity to a city with a population of up to 100,000. The FNPP solved two problems. Firstly, it replaced the retiring capacities of the Bilibino Nuclear Power Plant, which has been operating since 1974, as well as the Chaunskaya Thermal Power Plant, which is more than 70 years old. It also supplies power to the main mining enterprises located in western Chukotka. In September, a 490 km 110 kilovolt power transmission line was put into operation connecting Pevek and Bilibino.
