Guest Accommodation

Built in 2009, Asahi offers guest accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising a master suite, two double cabins and three twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 10 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.

Onboard Comfort & Entertainment

On your charter, you'll find plenty to keep you busy and entertained including a deck jacuzzi, perfect to enjoy the scenery with your favourite drink in hand.

Whatever your activities on your charter, you'll find some impressive features are seamlessly integrated to help you including Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing you to stay connected at all times, should you wish. You can stay comfortable on board whatever the weather, with air conditioning during your charter.

Performance & Range

Asahi is built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure. Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, she comfortably cruises at 12 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 15 knots with a range of up to 4,031 nautical miles from her 59,000 litre fuel tanks at 13 knots.

Onboard Asahi has a large selection of toys and accessories to keep you and your guests entertained on the water throughout your stay. Principle among these are two Laser sailboats to bring out the explorer in you. Additionally, there are waterslides for guests of all ages to enjoy. Another excellent feature are waterskis that are hugely entertaining whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro. If that isn't enough Asahi also features a seabob, wakeboards, kayaks, WindSurfers, fishing equipment and much more. When it comes to Tenders, Asahi has you covered - with two tenders, including a 12.4m/40'8" Protector Chase Tender.

Asahi is available upon request for charter this winter. She is already accepting bookings this summer for cruising in the Mediterranean.

Sailing yacht ASAHI (ex RIELA) is a 2009, 56 meter Perini Navi / Ron Holland ketch superyacht. This impressive sailing yacht is the work of Ron Holland (known for many large sailing yachts) and Perini Navi’s in house naval architecture. She represents a departure from some earlier Perini Navi yachts with her ultra-light and more performance orientated streamlined full aluminum hull.

The very impressive interior of the yacht is from the design board of Remi Tessier. 'Elegant luxury' is the effect as blended with a natural and contemporary theme. This has been very successfully accomplished with the employment of a wide and rich variety of precious and refined materials. Interesting woods such as Macassar, ebony, wengè, teak - as well as complimentary texture created by leather - make for a natural and soothing feel.

Sailing Yacht Asahi is the seventh superyacht of the highly successful and polished 56m sailing yacht series. Other famous Perini Navi 56 m sailing yachts include Burrasca (the first launched in 2003), Santa Maria (now Zenji), Rosehearty, Selene, Salute and Silvana.

She has a large volume and an extensive sundeck/flybridge platform from which to survey the surroundings, entertain and sunbath.

Providing both excellent sailing performance and delightful comfort sailing yacht ASAHI has size, style, functionality and performance. She is able to accommodate up to 12 people in 3 double and 3 twins, fully ensuite cabins. This includes a full beam owner’s suite with a king-sized bed, two VIP cabins with queen beds, two twin bed cabins and a further cabin with over and under bunks.

ASAHI Specifications

The superyacht’s masts are 58.8m (mainmast) and 48.26m (mizzen) tall. They are constructed from aluminum, while the automatic furling boom is made from carbon fiber. Her total sail area is around 1,500 m².

A full store of waters toys compliments a sophisticated array of electronic and entertainment gadgetry.

ASAHI is a luxurious 184ft (56m) Perini Navi sailing superyacht ideal for up to 12 guests. From her spacious flybridge living areas and her semi-sunk cockpit, ASAHI offers a variety of great outdoor living areas, and is available for charter in the Mediterranean and further afield into the South Pacific in 2025.

Designed by Ron Holland, this elegant ketch is a one-of-a-kind charter yacht, with a vast cockpit with lounge and dining sections plus a 103-inch Panasonic HD 3D TV, as well as plenty of deck space for sunbathing, relaxing and entertaining. The sundeck comprises sunpads, lounges, undercover dining space, bar and jacuzzi.

ASAHI’S hydraulic swim platform is large enough for guests to recline on sun lounges. 

Ultra-modern and spacious inside, the saloon and accommodation benefit from ASAHI’S generous 38ft (11.51m) beam. The saloon includes an expansive lounge and separate formal dining space, with windows at an angle to let in views and minimise glare.

For guest entertainment, ASAHI is equipped with the latest Apple TVs to stream music and movies from iPhones/iPad/ Apple computers and Kaleidescape movie and music database with 1,000+ DVD, BluRay, and 3D BluRay collection linked to every TV, combined with BluRay players, Satellite TV Boxes, iPod docks, and gaming systems.

The saloon lounge has an 85-inch Ultra HD Samsung Smart 3D TV and Bose sound system with built in subwoofer and surround sound.

The décor, designed by Rémi Tessier, is minimalist and yet warm and inviting, with furnishings in a sophisticated palette of taupe, brown and beige and subtle LED lighting.

 ACCOMMODATION

ASAHI provides charter guests with a six cabin layout with luxurious accommodation for 12 guests.

Located on the lower deck, the full-beam master cabin features an offset king size bed, seating area, vanity, wardrobe and lavish ensuite with a full size bathtub and large shower. The main entrance of the cabin can be closed completely with a soundproof door allowing for more privacy.

Portside of the master cabin, there’s a cosy cabin with bunk beds ideal for kids, nannies or guests, and two VIP cabins with queen size beds, plus two twin cabins with twin beds as well as a Pullman each. All cabins have private ensuites and entertainment systems with iPads using Crestron programming for remotes and Apple TV.

ASAHI is air-conditioned throughout for guests’ comfort and has wi-fi for communications and entertainment.

WATERTOYS & TENDERS

An accredited RYA centre, ASAHI is equipped with a 21ft (6.4m) Castoldi Jet tender and a 39ft (12.4m) Protector chase tender for day trips and watersports. Guests will enjoy every moment of their charter aboard ASAHI with access to the Yamaha FZR Waverunner Jetski, two Fliteboard eFoils, two Seabobs F5S, an RS Aero sailing dinghy, three Kitesurf 8/10/12 Slingshot SST, one Slingshot Alien Air, a Trainer kite, two NSP Stand Up Paddleboards, two Longboard Surfboards, two Shortboard surfboards, two wakeboards, monoski, monoski, waterskis, wake surf board, spearfishing equipment, diving equipment for four guests and snorkelling equipment for 12 guests.

For picnics and games, there’s a full beach setup and for heaps of on-water fun, there’s an inflatable bouncer and inflatable pontoon (yacht beach). For guests wishing to maintain their exercise regime during charter, ASAHI has a range of gym equipment, including treadmill, Schiller bike and rowing machine.

Launched in 2009, ASAHI was crowned Best Sailing Yacht 45m+ at the World Superyacht Awards. She was extensively refitted in 2023, with her important work including the painting of her hull and stern, teak work, including the renewal of the mast area decking, the replacement of her IT/AV equipment, a brand new galley and flooring in the main salon and dining area and the installation of new LED lighting throughout.

She’s got many charter-friendly features, but it’s her overflowing toy box that is the most eye-catching of all.

Interior Design & Engineering

The interior of the ASAHI sailing yacht is sleek and minimal, finished in neutral tones. Designed by Remi Tessier, her interior features lots of mahogany, wenge, ebony and textured leather. The overall effect is a zen-like atmosphere and lots of space to entertain.

The main salon of the 56-metre Perini Navi luxury superyacht is bordered by windows and flooded with light. It features a lounge area forward with seats surrounding a coffee table and a staircase amidship. It leads to a formal circular dining table that seats eight to twelve, with a curved bar beside it.

Twelve guests can be accommodated on the ASAHI yacht. The full-beam L-shaped master suite boasts a vanity area and sofa, a large wardrobe and an en suite with a full tub. The rest of the party will stay in a family-friendly layout of two VIPs, two twins and one bunk cabin.

Yacht facilities & Entertainment

The sun deck of the ASAHI yacht has a Jacuzzi aft with sun pads for lounging while taking in the panoramic views forward. Forward, there’s plenty of space to entertain with a bar and various seating areas.

Below, the main deck aft is home to more sofas below a large screen for al fresco cinema evenings. It’s overlooked by a formal dining table that can seat eight to twelve and some sun loungers on the elevated platform.

Toys and Crew

You’ll get easy access to the ocean thanks to the two-metre-wide hydraulic swim platform. This is particularly useful because your ASAHI yacht charter will be filled with hours of fun playing in the water.

She also has an overflowing fun-filled toy chest. If you like to go fast, her flite-boards, seabobs, kitesurfs, and sailing dinghy will be waiting for you to unleash. But that’s not all; she also has surfboards, SUPs that double as windsurfers, plus wakeboards, wakesurfs, waterskis and a mono ski. For the ultimate adrenaline rush, you can even have a go on her new wing-foiling equipment or get out the towable inflatable.

It’s also possible to go snorkelling or scuba diving to explore underwater—or take the mountain bikes ashore for some adventuring on solid ground. It’s easy to head for land with her 12.4m chase boat, and she’s got plenty of equipment for a proper beach set-up.

She’s supported by a crew of 10.

Stateroom Details

ASAHI's interior is modern with neutral colours and endless light throughout offering a warm and zen atmosphere. With a six cabin layout, ASAHI is a very attractive charter vessel with luxurious accommodation for 12 guests. Master cabin Located on the lower deck aft, the ensuite master cabin is full beam featuring an offset king size bed, a seating area and a vanity area. The suite also enjoys a generous wardrobe space located in the centre of the cabin leading to as a spacious bathroom with a full tub and a generous sized shower. The main entrance of the cabin can be closed completely with a sound proof door allowing for more privacy. Designed and built for an experienced yachtsman and supervised by an excellent professional crew, ASAHI was destined from the beginning to be a top-notch performer on the water and in the charter market.

Performing on the water, ASAHI has clocked 15 knots reaching and 23 knots surfing downwind.

Performing in the charter market, ASAHI is reportedly the only sailing yacht which has 4 Owner/Guest staterooms which convert from 8 single beds to 4 king-sized beds of 7-foot length. In addition, the forward two staterooms can convert to one large master suite with a center line king bed and his and her bathrooms. This makes for incredible versatility which enables ASAHI to cater to any configuration of a charter group. The charter possibilities are limitless.

By the same token, the Crew quarters offer a large, queen-bedded Captain's cabin and two other cabins, one with double and one with twin berths.

On deck the enormous cockpit, free of winches and lines encourages convivial relaxation, while the helm cockpit aft offers a place for the Crew to work easily with access to their Crew quarters below. Wide steps on the reverse transom give immediate dinghy and water access.

Most pertinent to the buyer of ASAHI is the legacy of care inherited. The same meticulous care from the different Owners, has been lavished on ASAHI. Since 2010, the yacht’s systems have been gradually entirely refurbished: New engine 2019, new generators (Kholer 2019 & Onan 2020), new sails 2016 & 2017, etc.

ASAHI is in truly superb condition with numerous important improvements made to update her and bring maximum enjoyment to the Owner, Guests and Crew.

Project description.

The ketch-rigged SY Asahi is the seventh unit of the renowned 56m series. Her refined and pluri-awarded interiors are by Remi Tessier. One of her main features is the huge open space at the main deck and the L-shaped Owner suite, proposed on Asahi for the first time and then adopted on other units of the series.
