This hotel was fabulous beautiful scenery of the yachts and water. There are two pools which we noticed only the front pool closest to the hotel was heated but it was SO nice that we got in a night swim too Our breakfast items got heated up which was lovely.our room had a couch, snacks items and drinks for purchase and was super clean. No coffee in the room tho, I noticed I do highly recommend this resort for beautiful scenery and a few to i ha to do like yard games and volleyball and plenty of places to sunbathe

Bunch of thiefs. We booked a room a month ago assuming it would be beneficial to get it done early. WRONG. Thursday was our first night and we were curious how much the rooms cost if we had waited and booked it the day of. WE PAID DOUBLE! We could have canceled the reservation and rebooked a room and paid half of what we did. We went to the front desk with the concern and we were told " oh we can only reduce the rate for the second night. So we paid double the first night just because were weren't quick enough discovery we were being robbed. Its gets better!! There is construction everywhere. Not something I would complain about but we could hear every swing of a hammer and every screw being drilled into that wall. Yet they still said tough shit on the first night you're paying $459 instead of $259 which was listed on the website. Last but far from lease! We woke up Friday morning to NO WATER. Couldn't shower, use the sink and if you wanted a bottle of water from in the room it would cost you 5 DOLLARS. For a fucking water you could get at the store of $2.50. We didn't have water for 3 hours so thank god we didn't have any special occasions to attend that would require a shower or any process of getting ready in the morning. ALL THIS BULLSHIT AND THEY ONLY DROPPED THE PRICE TO WHAT WAS LISTED ON THE WEBSITE FOR THE SECOND NIGHT. THEY ADVISE US THAT WE WOULD GET A REFUND FOR BOTH NIGHT BUT WE NEVER RECEIVED IT AND WE CANT GET AHOLD A MANAGER. If you are looking for a hotel, there are 3 others all right in the same area. Most of my family stayed elsewhere for the trip and they all loved the experience they had. Captain Pips or Isla Bella I'm told are amazing. If you already have a room booked be sure to check the price on the website before signing in. Chances are they're laughing at you while you check in knowing they are making double off you all because you booked in advance. Save yourself all the trouble and check out the other hotels. Don't do business with these crooks and the shitty hotel. No wonder they got brought out.
As a lifelong Keys resident, I was really disappointed in our recent trip to the Faro Blanco restaurant and pool. The very rude bartender Kai told us that they have new management, which have changed the ways they have done things. The pool area had multiple piles of Iguana poo, which we had to walk around. Also, they put the Corn Hole in the middle of the Pet Relief area, which we didn't realize until we saw 3 dogs going to the bathroom. They wouldn't let us eat at the tables on the patio for lunch unless our entire group got out of the pool and sat at the tables. Then, when we ate our food by the pool, a massive iguana kept walking by and then jumped out of the bushes and grabbed a chicken tender, causing the children to scream and run. People around the pool and eating lunch were horrified, and it took me yelling and asking Bartender Kai for help before he came down and very rudely said to us, "You just shoo it away." He was annoyed that he had to do that and chased it to the other side of the pool where more people were sitting. When we were paying our check, we overheard him calling other patrons in the restaurant nasty names to the server. And to top all of this off, my sister got pooped on by a pigeon in a tree above where we were forced to eat our lunch (which of course was at no fault to the resort, but just insult to ingury). It was a very frustrating day, and we won't be returning.
I sure do hope you get lucky enough to meet Damian at the front desk! From the moment we checked in to the end of our visit, Damian made sure we felt welcome, comfortable and at home. He immediately knew us by name, and greeted us that way every day! From serving us refreshments, introducing us to the fresh guava on site, and accepting our challenge to be our daily "go to" guy, Marriott Faro Blanco has a great gem in this guy!! Thank you specifically, Damian!! ~Your crazy Tennessee gals!
In need of an upscale, classy refuge from your hot, sun filled yacht? This is the clean, cold, ample chill spot you seek. Friendly service. Music loud enough to create a mood. Drink here. Eat here. Wear your stilettos here. Nose and pinky up here. I hate key lime pie; but I will def be back for more right here. Not like any other key lime I've seen or tried. My perfectly shaped, delicate waistline appreciated the fresh berries.
Extremely unimpressed with my recent experience with this hotel. The only positive I can say is that most of the staff is nice. I booked through Expedia. When checking out they said they could email me my receipt for my stay. Big mistake bec I never got it and there was about $400 extra dollars charged to my credit card that I didn't recognize. It took four phone calls to the hotel to try to get a receipt, so I could see what the charges were. I confirmed my email and even gave them a different email, but I still have no receipt. The girl at the front desks response was "well it's working for other guests". During my fourth phone call she was able to tell me that they never put in their system that I booked through Expedia where I prepaid for the majority of my stay, so the hotel charged me for the entire stay again. The manager was supposed to call me back yesterday, but I have yet to hear from anyone. Today, I called Hilton directly where he called the hotel again to state to me that "they already know about the refund it's on the managers desk". Not sure why they couldn't call me to let me know I would be getting the refund soon. Don't stay here it's absolutely not worth the hassle. I regret not going with my other hotel choice.
We had a nice mini vacation here for a couple nights... The property is large. Check-in was easy. We got a free welcome cocktail and info about the resort. We'd reserved a king suite room and chose the top (third) floor. The lobby has meeting rooms off of it. There's also a couple computers nearby. Also near the check-in desk is an area to purchase breakfast items. And by leading off the lobby (just past the elevators) is the swimming pool -- in the middle of the hotel. The room itself was large and comfortable. In addition to the king bed, there was a soda and cocktail table; a large flat screen TV; a mini fridge s d pod coffee maker. Inside the d sad mall closet was an iron and ironing board and a hair dryer. The modern bathroom has a glass enclosed shower (no tub). Walking back through the property will take you past the hammocks and greenery to their restaurant. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner -- but we didn't get a chance to try it. Past the restaurant is the extensive marina and docks with boats of all sizes. The working lighthouse (in all the promo photos) houses the ships stores and marina checkin. It was a nice walk in the evening to see the yachts. Checkout was also easy. There's a nightly resort fee added to your bill (which they tell you about in advance),but it's modest. We'd booked our reservations through Travelzoo and prices were quite reasonable. We would stay here again.

We enjoyed a Women's Wellness weekend here at the resort. They have a marina for boats. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated. The wallpaper in the bathroom was stained and needs to be replaced . They have 2 outdoor pools, corn toss, bikes, hammocks, and a full service restaurant

I've read a few negative reviews of this place, I can say we've been twice now (April break with kids) and both experiences have been very favorable. The welcome drinks (and as many refills as you'd like) are such a welcome comfort after a long drive. The front desk team is lovely. We stayed in a newly renovated room, it was very pretty. The bathroom was recently renovated in the room as well, it looked very nice but the water pressure wasn't great. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Kids loved the two pools and giant chess board. You do now have access to the property next door if you'd like to go to that pool as well.
Arrived at 11:30am was not busy yet it took forever to get service, once we did it took at least 30 min to get our drinks. The Spicy Tuna was not fresh and we returned it back. The plantain chips were not good either as being Latin I'm used to thinly sliced with no skin . Very disappointed The only thing good was our friendly server Camilo the drinks and the ambiance of the Florida keys.
