The 69.65m/228'6" 'Sherakhan' classic yacht built by shipyard Vuijk Scheepswerven is available for charter for up to 26 guests in 13 cabins. She originally served as a Dutch training ship before being converted into a yacht by Verkerk Yachting Projects in 2006. This yacht features interior styling by Claudia Rijntjes.

Guest Accommodation

Built in 2005, Sherakhan offers guest accommodation for up to 26 guests in 13 suites comprising a master suite, two VIP cabins, four double cabins and six twin cabins. The supremely spacious full beam master suite incorporates its own study. The bed configuration includes 6 king, 1 double and 12 singles. She is also capable of carrying up to 19 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.

Onboard Comfort & Entertainment

You and your guests can enjoy a variety of experiences on Sherakhan, notably a sauna to help you detox and regenerate. For the ultimate relaxation experience, she plays host to a luxury spa plus a gym with all the latest equipment is available for a good work out. Retreat to the deck jacuzzi and soak up the scenery.

Whatever your activities on your charter, you'll find some impressive features are seamlessly integrated to help you, notably Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing you to stay connected at all times, should you wish. Guests will experience complete comfort while chartering thanks to air conditioning.

Performance & Range

Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she offers greater on-board space and is more stable when at anchor thanks to her full-displacement hull. Powered by 1 x Caterpillar engines, she comfortably cruises at 11 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 13 knots with a range of up to 3,500 nautical miles from her 128,000 litre fuel tanks at cruising speed. Sherakhan features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels.

Set against the backdrop of your chosen cruising ground, you and your guests can enjoy endless days of fun on the water with the exceptional collection of water toys and accessories aboard Sherakhan. Principle among these are two Laser sailboats to bring out the explorer in you. In addition there are waterslides for guests of all ages to enjoy. Onboard, Sherakhan offers a host of facilities including an 18 person Jacuzzi, a fully equipped gym and spa, as well as a beauty salon with a fully trained therapist on board. A luxury dining room for 22 guests hosts a colossal 7m Atrium bathed in natural light filtered down through the glass bottomed 18-person Jacuzzi. Accommodation

Master with Jacuzzi , private terrace, lounge area/ and study which can be converted to a double. All the double beds are king size. All suites are equipped with a television, DVD, stereo and ipod dock, mini bar, safe, air-conditioning/ heating, a vanity table/desk, a computer point and wifi, relaxing chairs, saloon table, a very spacious walk-in closet, bathroom with toilet, bidet, bath (Jacuzzi), double basin and shower Main-deck: Once you set foot on the gangway, you will be surprised by the beautiful details, the enormous deck areas, astonishing woodwork and the incredible choice of outside furniture! We are sure you have never experienced a view as marvelous as the one from the look-out house. The Jacuzzi is very big (18 people)and of course we have a complete B.B.Q. area When you finally come inside, you will be surprised by the beam of the yacht. The main saloon is about 20 meters long and 9 meters wide. The style is cozy and, what we think is the most important, homely. Every single guest on MY Sherakhan must immediately have the feeling that this is their home and can relax the way they want! This is the way we chartered M.Y. Jaguar for many years, and with a lot of success. The main saloon is visually divided into two areas; On one side we find the dining area; with a beautiful table, where 22/24 people can be seated. On both sides of the dining table there are 2 impressive stairs which lead you to the owners deck. When you sit at the dining table and look up, you will be impressed by the atrium. You can look completely to the roof of the yacht where the Jacuzzi with glass bottom is situated. The enormous chandelier is of course specially designed for this area of 7 meters of height. The other side of the saloon is furnished to relax. Nice cozy couches, homely armchairs, enormous vases, a fireplace, a flat screen television, a bar where you can sit down to enjoy your drinks and of course a little podium with a white grand piano. Although the area is big, you will never have the chance to feel “lost”. From this area you have a nice view on the aft deck where the outside dining table is situated. When you walk through this area and pass the dining table, you will enter the vestibule. Here you can choose to go down to the beauty saloon and the suites on the accommodation deck or even go to the fitness-massage, sauna and Jacuzzi on the lower deck. When you go straight on from the vestibule, you will first meet the ladies room on one side and on the other side the library. After passing a door, you will come to the corridor on which has 2 spacious suites on each side. All four of them have are in the region of 38 square meters with an en-suite bathroom with bath and showers as well. (The size of 38 m2 is only the suite; it does not include the bathroom!) The suites: Our feeling about a big yacht is that also the suites must be large! When guests want to have some privacy, not only during the night…, they must experience all the luxury of a 5 star+ accommodation and of course be surrounded by a nicely furnished and decorated ambiance. All the double beds are king size. All suites are equipped with a television, DVD, stereo, mini bar, safe, air-conditioning/ heating, a vanity table/desk, a computer point, relaxing chairs, saloon table, a very spacious walk-in closet, bathroom with toilet, bidet, bath (Jacuzzi), double basin and shower. The way the woodwork is done, is astonishing! Nice and with unexpected details….. Accommodation deck: On the accommodation deck, you will find 4 suites. The smallest is 34 m2 and the biggest 37,3 m2. They are fitted just like all the others. You also will find two bunked cabins these can be either children’s themed cabins, ( or for security staff / adults. as the beds are 2m long. These cabins are connected with the 2 suites next door, but can also be used completely separately. The last area of importance on this deck is the beauty saloon. The beauty saloon is also fully equipped hair- and nail studio. So the guests can be pampered as much as they want! Lower deck: When you walk down the stairs, at the end of the corridor on the accommodation deck, you will enter a world of body pleasure! First take a drink at the bar to get used to the idea of exercise, then some fitness on the most modern equipment, followed by a well-deserved massage, going into the sauna to give your body the most precious rest and end up in the Jacuzzi to cool down! What more can a person wish for…..? Apart from all the equipment available here, the area in which this is situated is a feast for the eyes. Because of its location, completely in the front of the ship, below decks, the area is built like an American loft. Something like this hasn’t been shown before, the fantastic mosaics will amaze you. Owners deck: We leave this deck and follow our “tour” to the saloon on the owners deck. The one you can reach from the vestibule on the main deck or with the stairs besides the dining table. When you come by the 2 enormous stairs, your attention will be attracted by the spectacular view down on the dining table. There is a vacant space of 6 meters long and 3 meters wide! In this way, the areas are not completely separated but in a creative way connected with each other. The saloon is further furnished with exclusive and comfortable chairs, a bar with an integrated piano and a dance floor for the people who cannot control their feet! During the day time, this area will be quite popular! Reading and relaxing when the sun is too hot or having a drink or playing some chess. During the night this saloon will be perfect for having swinging cocktails before dinner. In the meantime the crew can set a wonderful decorated table and the guests will be surprised when they walk down the stairs to enjoy their dinner! Besides the saloon, this deck contains 2 suites of 31 m2 and 1 Master Cabin of almost 51 m2! This deck is completely outfitted for the owner with a huge study. Like the name reveals, this will be a Masterpiece! Located completely in the front of the ship, with an amazing view over the sea, this cabin has even its own terrace! The Jacuzzi is in the middle of the room, apart from the bathroom. The special effect of this cabin must be seen to be believed! The outer deck on the owners deck will have comfortable chairs, footstools and even table lamps for the people who want be outside at night and enjoy a good book or just want to sit in silence and enjoy the stars……… On every outer deck there will be music, when wanted. Wheelhouse-deck: The last deck is the wheelhouse deck. You can reach this deck from the corridor on the owners deck or from outside. On this deck the wheelhouse is situated, but the most important of all……..the Jacuzzi, loads of deck chairs, a bar, a B.B.Q. area, shade for the burnt ones and of course the look-out house!!!! Between the 2 funnels, we created a real look-out house. Once you are up there, you will be taken by surprise!!! The height of this location will be 20 meters above the waterline, so you can easily imagine what sort of view you can have up there! A 360° view for the star watchers, this is the ultimate spot….

SHERAKHAN is the culmination of a dream for her owner. Whether you are in the dining room for 26 with its massive atrium bathed in natural light filtered down through the glass bottomed Jacuzzi, (capable of seating up to 18 people!), or experiencing the joy of standing in the lookout house perched above the sundeck, an astounding 20 metres above the water line, SHERAKHAN never ceases to amaze.

Suites range from 30-50 square metres and are impressive with their decor , style and of course their sheer size. The master cabin  includes a bath, a revolving bed, a  private terrace, and a lounge area that also acts as a study. The owners study / lounge also converts to an independent double room with its own ensuite. There are nine further equal sized cabins: five doubles and four twins (two convert to doubles), as well as two smaller cabins with bunk beds that each link to a double room, making them suitable for children , nannies or staff. All the double beds are king size. All suites are equipped with a television, DVD, stereo, mini bar, safe, air-conditioning/ heating, a vanity table/desk, a computer point, relaxing chairs, saloon table, a very spacious walk-in closet, bathroom with toilet, bidet, bath (Jacuzzi), double basin and shower.

SHERAKHAN enjoys regular updates, refitting this ocean-going explorer yacht to a lavish 5-star standard. Recently new paintwork, carpets and new soft fabrics throughout the guests areas and cabins, means she is "as new" in 2022.

Incredible on deck and inside, luxury charter yacht SHERAKHAN comprises an impressive variety of facilities including a library, an 18-person Jacuzzi, a fully-equipped gym and spa, as well as a beauty salon/massage room with a fully trained therapist on board.

Her enormous deck areas are unique to this palatial charter yacht, providing several spaces for dining, socialising, and entertaining on a grand scale. For all-night dancing, there’s a Pioneer professional DJ deck and full lightning set up.

The upper aft deck is a brilliant space for relaxing, with comfortable lounges, while the main aft deck is set up for dining alfresco, with views from every angle. The expansive foredeck features hammocks, sunlounges and sunpads for soaking up the sunshine.

On the wheelhouse deck/sun deck is the jacuzzi, deck chairs, a bar, barbecue, shade and a look-out house, 20 metres above the waterline for dazzling 360° views by day or night. 

Elegantly styled interiors will delight guests who will appreciate the blend of luxurious amenities and Art Deco inspired styling. The craftsmanship in the timber panelling, flooring, mosaics, leather lining and furnishings make SHERAKHAN an exceptional charter yacht.

From the massive saloon with ample seating for guests and stainless-steel staircases, to a dining room for 22 guests and a colossal 7m Atrium bathed in natural light filtered down through the glass bottomed 18-person Jacuzzi, this yacht is the pinnacle of contemporary design. In the main saloon, adjacent to the bar is a piano for live entertainment.

The upper lounge bar is designed around a marvellous freestanding bar which features seats in the form of large hands crafted from timber.

ACCOMMODATION

There are 13 cabins aboard SHERAKHAN: six king staterooms, one double and 12 singles. Every cabin is light-filled and spacious, with lounge, desk, walk-in robes, entertainment systems and ensuite.

The décor is a masterful mix of Scandinavian cool and nautical accents, with massive windows, with heavy drapes for privacy, and quirky, bespoke furniture. The master cabin has an office, sitting area, large ensuite with jacuzzi bath, massive closet and its own terrace.

All suites are equipped with a TV, DVD, stereo and iPod dock, mini bar, safe, air-conditioning/ heating, a vanity table/desk, a computer point and wi-fi.

WATERTOYS & TENDERS

Catering to her charter guests no matter what their interest or skill level, SHERAKHAN is equipped with the latest watersports gear, including two Bernico 7.6m Custom tenders and a Zodiac RIB.

There are three Waverunners for fast on-water fun, as well as a Laser sailboat and Optimist sailboat for more sedate sailing. Guests will also enjoy the kayaks, wakeboard, waterskis, SUPS, kneeboard, bodyboard, inflatable tow toys, a water trampoline and 7m slide!

For exploring underwater, there is snorkelling and fishing equipment.

To maintain your fitness while onboard, SHERAKHAN provides a stationary exercise bike, step machine, treadmill, Precor elliptical trainer, free weights and yoga mats.

PRESENTING SHERAKHAN

Custom-built in 2004, motor yacht SHERAKHAN is the culmination of a dream for her owner. With few yachts legally able to accommodate more than 12 passengers, the owner of mega yacht SHERAKHAN set out to build a yacht with room for more than 20 guests. With nine double and four twin cabins, the owner achieved his goal, as this megayacht can accommodate 26 guests.

ACCOMMODATIONS

There is space in the dining room of megayacht SHERAKHAN for an extended family of 22 passengers. Guest suites range from 30 to 50 square meters and feature impressive decor, style, and of course, sheer size.

The Master cabin features a Jacuzzi, revolving bed, private terrace, lounge area, and study. All doubles have king-sized beds.  The single beds convert into doubles. Each suite has a television, DVD, stereo, mini bar, safe, air-conditioning/heating, a vanity table/desk, and a computer.  Additionally, relaxing chairs, a saloon table, and a very spacious walk-in closet.  Finally, a bathroom with toilet, bidet, Jacuzzi bath, double basin, and shower.

The 7-meter Atrium is bathed in natural light, filtered down through the glass-bottomed Jacuzzi (with seating for 18). A unique lookout-house is perched above the sundeck, nearly 20 meters above the waterline, and the views are stunning.

Exercise and physical-fitness buffs will truly enjoy the superyacht’s inventory of toys.  For instance, 2 Yamaha Jetski superjet 700’s and Yamaha FX1400 and XL700 waverunners. In addition, two 24-foot Clubman tenders with 260 horsepower inboard engines. After an active day, guests enjoy some quiet time in the beauty salon or the massage room. Subsequently, a session in the sauna, Jacuzzi, or Fitness room.

Sherakhan endured a 2-month refit in preparation for a global charter itinerary. Her journey includes the Caribbean, Panama, Antarctica, and South Africa.  In addition, the Seychelles Islands, Thailand, Bali, Fiji, and Costa Rica. She received a new paint job and overhauled systems.  For example, environmentally-friendly, lower emission gensets (generators).

ABOUT SHERAKHAN

Built in the Netherlands as passenger ship Princess Margaret in 1966, SHERAKHAN’s current owner rebuilt the boat from the hull up in 2005 with a further extensive refit completed in 2018. With an excellent reputation and multiple repeat charter clients, SHERAKHAN is a firm favourite with large groups and families.

Her boutique style accommodation for up to 26 guests, offers individually styled suites each named after a famous author. The rest of her onboard spaces naturally cater to entertaining and socialising in large groups with an 18-person sun deck jacuzzi, a spacious bar and lounge area and interior and deck dining for all 26 guests. SHERAKHAN’s crew are also known for creating magical themed days and dining experiences, perfect if you’re travelling with children. ‘Sherakhan’ is a 228.51ft  /69.65m  conversion expedition yacht built in 2005 by Vuyk and last refitted in 2014. The yacht’s sumptuous interior has been designed by Rijntjes Interior Design, while her impressive and attractive exterior styling is by Verkerk Yachting Projects.

You’ll find an expansive master suite complete with Jacuzzi, and state-of-the-art AV systems to keep guests entertained. You’ll find a fully-equipped gymnasium onboard so you’ll never have to miss a workout, and an onboard beauty salon is the ideal place to have a beauty treatment ready for your evening entertaining!

A dedicated sauna and spa area is ideal for a little R&R, and you’ll be surrounded by the highest quality furnishings and finish.

Sherakhan’s interior layout sleeps up to 26 guests in 13 rooms, including a master suite, 2 VIP staterooms, 4 double cabins, 6 twin cabins and 2 single cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 19 crew members onboard to ensure you and your guests get the very best out of your luxury charter vacation, and are fully aware of the vessel’s amenities and leisure facilities.

Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, Sherakhan has a cruising speed of 11 knots and whether you’re admiring the Amalfi Coast or cruising round Cuba, are sure to enjoy a luxurious and decadent sailing experience.

Jan developed the idea of a luxurious, well equipped expedition yacht, able to visit the cold and still undiscovered regions of the world in style like Antarctica, Greenland, the North-West Passage and Alaska, and naturally all warmer destinations. The main goal was to create a product that combines luxury, safety and adventure. Jan bought the former Russian ice breaker Giant and within 3 years, converted her into the first ice breaking superyacht. The Legend is a 77,4 meter expedition yacht that features both luxury and adventure, for groups of up to 28 guests

Through the years Jan got his captain and engineering licences, strengthening his already extraordinary detailed understanding of every aspect of yacht building and operation. SHERAKHAN Yacht – Phenomenal $25 Million Superyacht

Once known as Lady Margaret , the SHERAKHAN yacht was later rebuilt and renamed in 2005, and was made into the luxury vessel we see today.

Functioning as a charter vessel for the past 10 years, she is well suited for guests and offers a wonderful charter experience.

Designed by Rijntjes Interior Design, the SHERAKHAN yacht is a luxurious vessel suitable for charter. Inside she has a spa and a beauty salon, as well as a gym.

A big master suite features its own study, and there are plenty of rooms for guests to explore.

Perfectly suited for relaxation, she has a sauna that guests can use after a day at the spa, or after enjoying the jacuzzi on board.

There’s plenty of space for guests in the 13 suits available. SHERAKHAN is considered to be perfect for conferences or for other special occasions. The philosophy is to not let excess furniture take away from the beauty of the yacht itself.

The interior is mostly white, with a modern look. Guests can enjoy a sleek, contemporary design that brings out the small details in every room.

Specifications

SHERAKHAN is 69,65 meters (228,6 ft) long, with a beam of 12 meters (39,4 ft), and a draft of 4,5 meters (14,9 ft). She has a maximum speed of 12 knots, and a cruising speed of 10 knots.

Thanks to her full-displacement hull, the SHERAKHAN yacht is very stable while at anchor. She is powered by one Caterpillar engine. She can hold up to 22 guests and up to 19 crew.

The elegant exterior of SHERAKHAN was designed by Verkerk Yachting Projects. Her white, sleek design cuts through the water with finesse, and if you were to find yourself on board, there are a plethora of water toys to entertain you.

Waterslides along the side of the vessel, jet skis, kayaks, and wakeboards are just some of the things there are to choose from.

Her exterior spaces are very large, and there’s a lookout house where you can enjoy the view.

The overwhelmingly white exterior was a conscious choice from the owner, who wanted people to be able to see every detail of the vessel, and not have the nuances be lost due to darker colors.

The SHERAKHAN yacht is available for charter in Northern Europe in both Summer and Winter. The weekly rate for a charter is approximately $510,500.

The first pavilion of Crocus Expo IEC hosted an extraordinary exposition of the 5th International exhibition of yachts and boats Moscow Boat Show. The show had been incredibly famous for five years already not only thanks to the specialists of the market segment as well as professional sportsmen but also thanks to those who consider sailing sport to be their hobby and well cherished dream.

The organizer of the project was the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre. The show was supported by Aston Martin Moscow, Burevestnik Group logistics department and the Yachting specialized magazine.

The exposition space increased up to 30 000 sq m and was accommodated in all 4 exhibition halls of the fairgrounds! 280 Russian (Arkhangelsk, Vyborg, Kazan, Kaluga, Republic of Karelia, Moscow and Moscow region, Nizhny Novgorod, Novorossiysk, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, St. Petersburg, Sverdlovsk region, Sochi, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen and Yaroslavl region) and foreign ( Denmark , Germany , Holland , Greece , Spain , Italy , Cyprus , China , Latvia , Poland , USA , Turkey , Ukraine, Finland , France , Montenegro and Croatia ) companies participate in the show.

Moscow Boat Show provided the perfect platform from which to preview new products, evaluate market trends, and establish long-lasting and commercially profitable partnerships. Despite the dynamic changes taking place in Russia and the rapid growth of the yachting sector, the show continued to complement and reflect the industry’s demand and is a promotional opportunity not to be missed!

Unique exhibits were presented at the show for the first time: exposition of private submarines from U-Boat Russia company, Marquis Yachts 420 SB motor yacht from Sport Bridge S. Marine series, SAGA-415 yacht from Saga Boats Norwegian shipyard, Jetlev-Flyer from MS Watersports.

Moscow Boat Show a Great Success

More than 400 yachts were displayed within the frames of the event including the largest boats ever exhibited in Russia – the 19-meter giant motor yacht Princess 54 as well as the Princess 50 yacht from Nord Marine and Baja speed boat from Burevestnik.

Domfinland OY unveiled a luxury project from Finnish real estate: a seaside premium class hotel in Hanko named consonant with the location Merihanko.

The trade fair was traditionally opened by a Gala Opening Ceremony. Arcady Zlotnikov, First Deputy Director Crocus Expo IEC, was the first to take the floor at the official opening ceremony. He greeted warmly exhibitors, guests and visitors of Moscow Boat Show. Nikolay Krjuchek, Deputy Chief of the State Inspection on Small size Vessels (GIMS) of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of Russia, Georguiy Shaiduko, Acting President of the Russian Yachting Federation (VFPS), Olympic champion in Atlanta and Ekaterina Grishechkina, Director of exhibition Moscow Boat Show also spoke at the ceremony.

The high-ranking guests noted dynamic development of the branch which well reasoned the intensive growth of the exposition and appearance of rather unique “gems”.

A number of business meetings and negotiations were held within the frames of the project: the exhibition was visited by a large delegation of Greek businessmen for the purpose of establishment of mutually beneficial cooperation with the Russian colleagues.

More than 400 yachts on display at the Show

Russian Yachting Federation (VFPS) celebrated its 100 anniversary within the frames of Moscow Boat Show and arranged an exposition of future sailing sport museum (rare awards, gifts, articles from private collections, pictures and etc.) which had been collected since 1912.

Due to carefully chosen running dates the show was visited by more than 26 000 people. The majority of the visitors were of targeted audience – vessel owners and specialists of the branch.

The work at the next edition of the show is under way! The show will be held in March 2013. The overall exhibit space will comprise 40 000 sq m. The exhibition will impress with exclusive exhibits and the latest technological achievements.

Moscow Boat Show was not only an entertaining but at the same time a business promotional event. Participation in the trade fair was a unique opportunity to present a company and products to a distinctly selected targeted audience of industry specialists. They were well prepared to discuss business in the Russian market and even to close a deal on-site.

The show helped representatives of yachting business to get acquainted with their Russian colleagues and gradually improved national yachting market to a new level. It is obvious that for 5 years of its running the project has turned to a status event of the international exhibitions calendar.
