Olympia Yacht gehört zu den aufstrebenden Bootsbaubetrieben unseres östlichen Nachbarlandes. Angesiedelt in der schlesischen Großstadt Tychy, zeigt die Werft nicht nur auf dem heimischen Markt verstärkt Flagge, sondern exportiert ihre ansprechend designten Kunststoffschiffchen nach Schweden, Dänemark und Deutschland. Im Bundesgebiet kümmern sich vier Regionalhändler um die Belange der Kundschaft. Zuständig für den norddeutschen Raum ist die Grömitzer Firma Bootspoint, die seit Anfang April als autorisierter Verkaufsstützpunkt fungiert und einige praxisgerecht ausgerüstete Olympia-Exponate tage- oder wochenweise zur Vermietung anbietet.

Im Praxistest vor der Grömitzer Strandpromenade, der bei Windstärken zwischen 3 und 4 Beaufort vonstatten ging, beweist die Olympia 570 Holiday bei eher defensiver Fahrweise ordentliche Nehmerqualitäten, die einem modernen Kabinensportboot der 18-Fuß-Klasse angemessen sind. Zwar setzt die kompakte Polin in forcierter Gangart recht ruppig in die Welle ein, sie bleibt aber auch während beherzter Ruderbewegungen voll und ganz unter Kontrolle. Sieht man von der durch heftige Windböen verursachten seitlichen Abdrift beim Rangieren ab, sind insbesondere die guten Manövrier- und Handlingeigenschaften zu loben, die in ruhigeren Revieren optimal zur Geltung kommen dürften. Mit einer Basisnotierung von 11 500 € ist das adrett gestylte Allroundmodell bestimmt ein interessantes Angebot, trotzdem sollte der günstige Preis nicht darüber hinwegtäuschen, dass einige Detaillösungen fragwürdig erscheinen und die Verarbeitungsgüte hier und da etwas zu wünschen übrig lässt.
