We could not have asked for a better experience from start to finish for our wedding than what was provided by John and the team at Peconic Bay Yacht Club. They went above and beyond to take away every since stress and give us the most wonderful wedding day imaginable. The location, the food, the unbelievable staff/service was commented on by all of our guests.

John, Hillary, Alerie, and the entire team at the Peconic Bay Yacht Club (PBYC) went above and beyond to make our special day truly unforgettable. Their meticulous attention to detail and exceptional care exceeded all our expectations. Our friends and family are still raving about the incredible food and the fantastic time they had at our wedding. Having attended other weddings on the island, we can confidently say that PBYC is the best venue, hands down. The breathtaking views from the venue added to the magic of the day, and if you’re contemplating hosting your wedding here, don’t hesitate for a moment—it was absolutely worth it.

Truly a day we will never forget. From the appetizers to the entrees and the dessert parade everything was fantastic. One of the few weddings I’ve been to where everything came out hot! The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy! John and Hillary feel like family to us. We wouldn’t change a thing!!!!

2023 Couple

My Husband and I were married at PBYC on June 10, 2023. If you are considering a North Fork wedding, there is hands down no better place. The view out to the Peconic Bay is extraordinary. John, Hillary and all of the staff were superb and paid attention to every small detail! The food was delicious as were the cocktail hour bites. Rave reviews on the Oyster and Clam Bar!!! This is not typical wedding food – it is so MUCH better. We had our ceremony outside on the lawn and to this day, guests come to me to say how idyllic and beautiful the spot was. I cannot recommend PBYC enough – it was the greatest day of my life and that’s all thanks to John and Hillary!!!

Bride | June 2023

I can’t say enough about Peconic Bay Yacht Club! We visited many sites before choosing one for our wedding across the North Fork, Rhode Island and Hudson Valley and we are so happy with our choice! Not only are the grounds and venue impressive, but the staff and all of John’s team was flawless. The food was great and the team was very flexible and accommodating . If they have a date you are looking for, book it! You won’t regret it!

Bride | October 2023

My wife and I got married in October at the Peconic Bay Yacht Club and the wedding was nothing short of perfect. John is the best in the business and he and his staff were incredible throughout the process and made everything from the first stages of planning to the wedding and everything in between so fun and stress-free. We have gotten so many compliments and rave reviews from friends and family about the venue. We had so much fun, the food was incredible, the setup with bars and staff was perfect, and everything else about the day was just so special. We could not imagine the best day of our lives happening anywhere else.

Groom | October 2023

I am eternally grateful for having gotten to feel like one of the most special people on earth because of John and his team at PBYC. If it weren’t for their kindness, insane amount of effort and attention to detail, willingness to go above and beyond, I know our wedding wouldn’t have been as amazing. John has such a gift in doing what he does for a living. If you were on the fence in considering PBYC, let me tell you this — you should consider this your sign to do it NOW. You will not find a better team, a more beautiful location, and holy SMOKES… no better food, anywhere else. Thank you John and the entire team at PBYC for everything you did to make our wedding a weekend and experience one we’ll never forget and our guests will never stop talking about. TEAM PBYC FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bride | July 2023

We got married in November, so there were also a lot of ‘question marks’ leading up to the wedding – What will the weather be like? Could we get married outside? John helped guide us along the way and even let us make the final call (inside vs. outside) the day before the wedding, which was SO appreciated! (And to be clear, there was no wrong option – the entire venue inside and out is spectacular)! It just so happened to be a beautiful November day, so my husband and I were lucky enough to get married on the beautiful outdoor deck on the second floor of the Peconic Bay Yacht Club – and it was magical! The venue and the views are just beautiful, especially around sunset!

We also can’t say enough good things about the food – the cocktail hour was a hit, and the dinner was fabulous. We had so many guests tell us how good the food was! Our favorites were the lobster rolls, sushi sliders, baby lamb chops and fish taco sips & bites for cocktail hour, and we selected the local bass (which was in season), the short rib, and the lemon arugula ravioli for our dinner options. We tried all three… and OMG – they were all so so good. We also had the afterparty on site (in the speakeasy-style basement), which was a hit. Late night chicken tendies and fries were the icing on the cake!

Looking back the standout was really the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, and made the Peconic Bay Yacht Club feel like our home for the weekend. If you’re thinking of selecting the Peconic Bay Yacht Club for your wedding venue… DO IT! It will be a day or night to remember forever!!

Bride | November 2022

PBYC is truly AMAZING! We had the most dreamy, magical and perfect day!!! We were originally booked at another venue that canceled on us 6 months out. We found PBYC and immediately fell in love. We are certain everything happens for a reason and can’t imagine having gotten married anywhere but PBYC.

John was fantastic from the start – so patient in answering all our questions and making sure everything was exactly how we envisioned it. Heather, our bridal assistant, was THE best! She was so conscious of our wants/needs throughout the whole day and was ready to help with anything.

We had absolutely no stress with PBYC. We gave them our vision and they brought it all together seamlessly. Every aspect of our day and everything leading up to it was 10/10 fantastic. We are still on cloud 9 from our perfect day. It really was a dream come true!

Bride | October 2022

To all future brides, choose Peconic Bay Yacht Club!! You will not regret it! Multiple people have told us it was the most perfect wedding they have ever attended and a large part of that is due to PBYC!

Firstly, the setting is beautiful and the views over the water are stunning. We had the most gorgeous sunset during our wedding. The club itself is also beautiful and perfectly set up to host weddings. From the lawn overlooking the water for the ceremony, gorgeous second-floor deck for cocktail hour, stunning ballroom with large open windows, and basement bar for the afterparty, it couldn’t be more perfect.

What really sets PBYC apart though is the staff. John is INCREDIBLE- so well organized and thoughtful about each aspect of the wedding. There are so many little details that we would not have thought about if not for John. He is also unbelievably responsive which is so important during the planning process! Everyone on staff is equally amazing. You truly cannot beat the catering- we had so many people raving about the food! I also had a bridal attendant throughout the day who was wonderful.

Bride | June 2022

We had my daughter’s perfect wedding here several weeks ago and I cannot recommend the PBYC more highly! John O is so well organized and the venue is stunning! Our guests have been raving nonstop about this fairy tale event!

Mother of the Bride | June 2022

My youngest daughter was married this last spring at the Peconic Bay Yacht Club and her reception was held there immediately afterward. I cannot say enough good things about the professionalism and attentiveness of the staff. The entire afternoon and evening preceded in an extremely well-organized way. But most especially we had the happy opportunity to deal with John. John was an ultimate professional giving us good advice and gently guiding us through the entire process. When the big day came the venue was beautiful. Not just the views of the bay but inside and out the various rooms were beautifully decorated and carefully maintained. The evening went on without a hitch. Timely and professional service are the hallmarks. During the cocktail hour the passed hors-d’oeuvres, the raw bar, and a few other excellent choices such as the market table were all spot on. The entrées were all very tasty, fresh, and generous. After a lifetime of weddings, this was among the very, very best. We received nothing but compliments thanks to John and his fine staff.

Father of the Bride | May 2022

We were married on 5/14/22. John is amazing to work with and was only outshined by the venue and food! I cannot recommend this venue enough. John went above and beyond in every aspect including day of issues which he had nothing to do with! A month later, and our guests are still raving about the food and service. My high expectations were blown away. The most common comment I received is “The food was the best wedding food that we’ve ever had” I have to agree with this! I wholeheartedly recommend this venue!

Bride | May 2022

We got married at PBYC on 6/4/22. We just returned from our honeymoon, and the first thing I wanted to do was write a review!

John and the staff at PBYC are absolutely incredible. We had the most phenomenal day, filled with so much love and happiness. Our guests are still raving saying this was one of the best weddings they ever attended. Every single little detail was well thought out, and beautifully executed.

John was extremely knowledgeable, and such a pleasure to work with. He was so helpful throughout the planning process, and made sure everything went seamlessly leading up to (and the day of) our wedding. John is so kind, and made sure our families were well taken care of throughout the day.

The food was on another level. Everything was beyond delicious, and presented so beautifully. My husband and I took our photos before our ceremony, so we got to enjoy the incredible cocktail hour with our guests. The deck overlooking the water is such a picturesque location, and we lucked out with the most gorgeous early summer day. The space is so beautifully designed, and the views are incredible.

We could not recommend this venue (and John) enough. John and his staff made sure everything ran flawlessly, and helped make our day everything we dreamed of and more! The icing on the cake was the after-party in the basement. It was such a perfect way to wrap up the most incredible day.

Thank you John & PBYC team for everything! We love you!

Peconic Bay Yacht Club proved to be the amazing venue we first laid eyes on so long ago and we are so happy our wedding was there. Everything was perfect, great thanks to John, the GM there and for helping us throughout the whole process. He is very attentive and makes you feel like the only couple he’s working with. The day of attendant (Heather) was truly remarkable as well. PBYC staff were all phenomenal and we are so thankful!

To say that our wedding at the PBYC was the wedding of our dreams is an understatement…words cannot begin to describe how exceptional the entire experience was!

From the outset, we knew we had made the right decision when picking our venue. Working with John over the last year was an absolute pleasure. His kindness, support, experience, and sense of humor made the entire process easy. Despite the fact that the last year and a half has been beyond difficult dealing with COVID, health restrictions, social distancing and countless unknowns, John was always there with a smile, a joke, and reassurances for us. Any questions we had were addressed immediately. By the time our wedding came around we were beyond confident that everything was going to run smoothly.

And then came our wedding day. It was truly beautiful and while the weather certainly played a role in that, the Yacht Club itself was the perfect setting. Everything looked beautiful! John and the staff at the PBYC work hard to make the place an absolutely stunning venue, from the lawn overlooking the bay where we had our ceremony, to the upstairs patio where our guests enjoyed the best cocktail hour imaginable, to the main dining room with it’s picture perfect views of the marina and greater bay beyond. Pictures are just starting to roll in and they are stunning!

We also have to note how amazing the entire staff working that day were. Our guests are still remarking on how fabulous the service was. No one wanted for anything. We were fortunate enough to have Hillary work with us as our bridal attendant that day; she was phenomenal! She was always there at our side whenever we needed a drink, a bite to eat, or just a reminder to take some time for ourselves if we needed to. Thanks to her, John, and everyone else, we were able to relax, enjoy our family and friends, and have the best time ever.

We cannot begin to thank John and everyone at the PBYC for making our special day an amazing one with memories that we will treasure for years to come!

Bride | July 2021

Everything was beyond perfect from start to finish. You and your team exceeded all expectations and I’m so grateful for your attention to detail at every point in the day.

The boys had an absolute blast in the basement and my girls felt completely spoiled upstairs all morning.

My guests are still raving about the food and the service received during the reception. Several people have said it was the best filet mignon they have ever had! You guys do amazing work and our wedding was truly the best day of our lives!

Coming out of a challenging year, ELIH Foundation began to plan our “Sailing into Summer” fundraising event to support Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital, which would take place only 7 weeks later at Peconic Bay Yacht Club. This gala was an event on a grand scale and supported by many donors.

John Ovanessian and his diligent team at Peconic Bay Yacht Club put the time and effort in making the event such a success in our short time frame. Between the flavorful menu offerings, picturesque views of the bay and the elegant yet local charm of the event space; the Peconic Bay Yacht Club was nothing short of amazing! John’s dependable work-ethic from start to finish made this event come to life. Although we were not surprised, his attention to detail was flawless and it was heaven working with him. Planning this event with John was seamless. He was so responsive and very accommodating as details changed throughout the planning process and during the event. The event was a magical evening and more than exceeded our expectations.

Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital Gala

Having our wedding on July 4th at Peconic Bay Yacht Club was the easiest decision we made. From the moment we stepped into the stunning venue, we were greeted with the warmest welcome from John and it felt like home. We were blown away by the beauty of the property, the stunning views, the character of each floor, and the creative ways you can use the venue. Most importantly what really stood out was how amazing the hospitality was.

Bride | July 4, 2021

My husband and I got married at PBYC on 6/11/21 and our wedding was an absolute dream. We knew we wanted to work with John within 5 minutes of meeting him, before he even brought us on a tour of the property…..the venue itself is beyond beautiful and lends itself to so many aesthetics. The food was incredible, as was the staff that so graciously welcomed our family and friends. My husband and I had the best night of our lives! And it is even more rewarding to have our guests share their amazing experience!! We are still receiving phone calls/messages saying what a wonderful day it was! THANK YOU PBYC for bringing our dream wedding day to life!

Bride | June 11, 2021

Thank you, thank you, thank you John and staff at Peconic Bay Yacht Club!!! Rating out of 10? 100! Food was fantastic along with every detail upon our request! Superb! Our guests are still raving!!

PBYC is a dream!

Peconic Bay Yacht Club is truly a dream venue. The staff is absolutely fabulous. The GM, John, was extremely responsive, always accommodating, and truly made me feel like family. He completely sold the venue for me, I felt a weight lift from my shoulders because I knew he would be on top of anything that may occur on my wedding day, or leading up to it. Unfortunately, due to COVID I ended up canceling my June wedding. The venue was truly amazing through my cancelation process and I was so thankful after I had heard so many horror stories about brides from other venues. I wish I could of had my big day there, but I know in the future I will be sure to host an event there. If i could give them more than five stars I would.

Peconic Bay Yacht Club

peconic bay yacht club wedding cost

My wife and I got married in October at the Peconic Bay Yacht Club and the wedding was nothing short of perfect. John is the best in the business and he and his staff were incredible throughout the process and made everything from the first stages of planning to the wedding and everything in between so fun and stress-free. We have gotten so many compliments and rave reviews from friends and family about the venue. We had so much fun, the food was incredible, the setup with bars and staff was perfect, and everything else about the day was just so special. We could not imagine the best day of our lives happening anywhere else.

Went here for a family friend's wedding and was blown away by how polished this place was. Staff was excellent and food was amazing.

From the moment we met John and saw the beautiful venue we knew this was the one. After an exhaustive search of venues in Manhattan, Brooklyn, the North Fork, the Hamptons and the Hudson Valley we were starting to think the venue we were envisioning did not exist. PBYC met all of our requirements and more. John was super friendly, extremely helpful and always responsive. (He would answer our many late night emails within minutes) John is the gold standard for what every venue manger should be. After our wedding we had so many people reach out to us to tell us how amazing he was. We had no major hiccups thanks to John’s attention to detail, organization and preparation. Also, the venue is beyond stunning, it is absolutely breathtaking. From the gorgeous outdoor area on the water to the perfectly decorated interior (each area has its own personality) you will fall in love with the grounds. Throughout the day we utilized all of their spaces with an outdoor ceremony, cocktail hour on the balcony, dinner in the dining room, dancing on the 2nd floor and an after party in the Cellar Bar. Not only is PBYC a beautiful venue, but their partnership with Robbins Wolfe catering elevates the experience. The food was unique and absolutely delicious. We are still receiving messages from our guests that they are craving the burrata! The quality of the wine and spirits is above and beyond any other venue (and trust me, we have been to a lot of weddings!) We strongly recommend booking your big day at Peconic Bay Yacht Club. After touring the venue and meeting John you will know you ended up at the right place!

My husband and I got married at Peconic Bay Yacht Club back in November. When we first got engaged, we looked at so many venues (a dozen to be exact), and nothing even came close to PBYC. The venue is stunning- every detail in the design is flawless. From our first email interaction, to our first venue tour and throughout the entire year long planning process- John, the General Manager was incredible. Absolutely incredible. His knowledge, attention to detail, and response time are unlike any other person I have had the pleasure of working with. John had an answer for everything, and often would respond within minutes of receiving my email. From our first interaction, John made us feel like he actually wanted our wedding there. A lot of the venues we saw, it was like they were doing us a favor by giving us a tour- not with John. Nothing was ever rushed, and he took the best care of us. John was everything you can wish for (and then some) in a venue General Manager The day of our wedding was flawless. John was instrumental in this. The food was incredible, not your typical catered wedding food. Guests are still raving about the food and the breath taking views three months later, thanks to Robbins Wolfe and their exquisite menu. Guests are also still talking about the caliber of service. There was no waiting in line for the bar or the bathroom. Each person at the table received their entree at the same exact time, it was next level service. I could not recommend PBYC more, it was an unbelievable experience working with John and team, especially in what can often be a stressful planning process. Book your wedding there, and know you are in good hands. Wish we could relive the day again!

My fiancé and I are getting married at the Peconic Bay Yacht Club in September 2018. This venue is amazing and beautiful both inside and out. It’s beautifully designed and furnished with spectacular views of the Peconic Bay. We recently had our food tasting and as expected the food was fantastic. The general manager John O from Robbins Wolfe, the caterer at the PBYC, was not only very helpful and kind but he has been an absolute pleasure to work with. His attention to detail, knowledge and response time have been exceptional. Most importantly he makes us feel like this is his only wedding and we are his personal friends. We know with John, we are in great hands! My fiancé and I have no doubt that our wedding is going to be everything we wanted and more. We are so excited to celebrate at the PBYC and cannnot wait until September!

Pristine, picturesque and purely incredible.

After standing vacant and unused for years, the former Mill Creek Inn in Southold will once again host some of the North Fork’s most elegant weddings and stylish shindigs.

Peconic Bay Yacht Club, a 10,000-square-foot building overlooking Peconic Bay, with a marina and manicured grounds, hosted its first wedding last weekend and its owners are ready to start booking more events.

Despite the name, don’t expect a social club or restaurant at the Main Road property, located just west of the Greenport border.

“It’s only a yacht club by name,” said co-owner John Ingrilli. “It’s a catering hall. People can decide how to utilize the property based on their event.”

This arbor will serve as a backdrop for wedding ceremonies.

Should a guest at Peconic Bay Yacht Club forget that the affair they are attending is located on the North Fork, a parking lot covered in crushed clam shells with hydrangea-lined walkways and a large anchor leaning against the dock house will remind them. The cedar-shingle siding and gables give the building the feel of a New England seaside estate and an arbor near the shore offers an ideal spot for a couple to say “I do.”

Inside, the ground floor features a comfortable lounge, a full-service kitchen, handicapped-accessible bathrooms and a ballroom with views of the bay. The second floor offers a bridal suite, another party area ripe for a cocktail hour, additional bathrooms and an outdoor deck with the bay as its backdrop.

The floors are made of wide-plank oak and the walls sport horizontal white planks. The decor is done in light and dark blue hues and the textured wallpaper, curated objects and wall hangings give the space a nautical feel.

“[The owners] wanted an Old-World feel, but something fresh,” said designer Kate Burger, whose father, Eugene Burger of Burger Construction in Cutchogue, is one of the owners. “We wanted it to have an updated feel, but feel like it’s always been here.”

Peconic Bay Yacht Club co-owner John Ingrilli, designer Kate Burger and co-owner Eugene Burger inside the building's ballroom.

Outside the building an 80-foot handicapped-accessible ramp leads to the 50-slip marina. The eco-friendly bulkheading is buffered by Cape American beach grass and wetland grass, which are fed by the bay at high tide.

“During the day at high tide it looks like a fish tank,” Mr. Ingrilli said. “Because of our affinity for the water we wanted to make it as green and eco-friendly as possible.”

The original inn, which stood in disrepair years after its heyday as a seaside nightspot and wedding hall, was torn down in 2005 and this new building rose in its footprint.

But since 2007, the building — originally constructed by Richard Principi of Principi Properties, who received a stop-work order from Southold Town — has stood vacant and unused.

Mill Creek Partners LLC, led by Mr. Burger, purchased the property in 2011 for $2.47 million.

“We drove by here and Eugene was living out here full time. The place was abandoned but it had potential,” said Mr. Ingrilli, a part-time Cutchogue resident. “We decided to look into acquiring it.”

It’s a project four years in the making for the owners, who spent more than half that time navigating the permit process. The partners declined to say how much it cost to complete the project.

“It was a lot of hard work, so it feels great [that it is finished],” Mr. Burger said.

That work culminated when Mr. Ingrilli’s daughter Alyssa became the first bride to celebrate her wedding on the property last Saturday.

The first floor lounge.

The reception was held under a Sperry tent, with Peconic Bay breezes wafting through to cool off the guests, and was catered by Elegant Affairs.

“It was wonderful, it really was,” Mr. Ingrilli said.

The space can accommodate parties of up to a few hundred people, he added. The owners have not yet decided whether they will use an exclusive caterer or allow customers to select a food provider from an approved list. They are also unsure if they will provide seating and tables.

For information, call 631-407-5200 or email [email protected] . A website has not yet been created.

Mr. Ingrilli noted that completion of the project, along with the 2013 opening of the renovated Southold Fish Market across Main Road — has breathed new life into the stretch of land between Peconic Bay and Hashamomuck Pond.

“We thought it would improve the whole location,” he said. “This particular area is coming a lot further in becoming aesthetically pleasing. It gives it a real North Fork feel.”

Fairytale Wedding in Russia

Fairytale Wedding in Russia

Photo by Aleksandr Neplokhov  on Pexels

How are weddings celebrated in Russia?

  • Ransoms: This tradition comes from the south of Russia. The bride is kidnapped by friends and on the morning of the wedding the groom must try to win her back. Generally, this is done by bribery but sometimes dancing or even drinking contests are held.
  • Trickery: When the hopeful groom comes round in the morning to collect his bride, some devious parents-in-law present him with another woman dressed in a wedding gown and veil or, if they’re feeling especially mean, they might even dress-up a man!
  • “Gorka!”: This one word can be heard at every single Russian wedding. It means bitter and guests chant this at the after-party so as to implore the new couple to kiss earnestly and therefore bring sweetness where once there was bitterness.
  • Predictions: After the wedding ceremony, Russians have fun by trying to predict what gender the couple’s first baby will be. Before this used to be done by bits of paper, but now the predictions are often made by text!

Rossiya—that word alone elicits images of opulent churches, resplendent palaces and breathtaking cathedrals. In summer, equally stunning gardens form blooming borders to Russia’s countless palaces and the soft trickling of fountains, tucked away in shady corners, set the pace to the lovely and long days during white nights. And, in the seemingly endless winter, the sparkling white of snow softens the edges of Russia’s formal landscapes; making for a veritable winter wonderland. A more magical setting to say “I do” couldn’t have been dreamt up. Russia is the place where fairytales really can come true.

St Petersburg

A historic city need not be very old. Such is the case with St Petersburg. The city of dreams or, more specifically, of Peter the Great’s dreams has only been around for a little over three centuries, yet its streets are as rich in stories as the ancient cities of the Golden Ring. As the seat of the Romanov family, the city’s grand squares have seen an endless stream of royal wedding carriages roll through them. Though royal weddings are no longer, partners can still declare their love for one another in much the same way as the tsareviches and tsarinas did. A visit to St. Petersburg is still perfect for a wedding. At all the palaces and manors listed below weddings of all shapes and sizes can be effortlessly organized.

Catherine Palace

Fairytale Wedding in Russia - Catherine's Palace

Photo by Dan Tuykavin on Unsplash

The baby blue façade, edged with touches of white and gold, of Tsarina Elizabeth’s beloved summer retreat makes for an ever so romantic backdrop. Its acres of elegantly structured gardens and wide, open vistas are reminiscent of Versailles. Though outdoor weddings are all the rage, it would be a mistake not to take advantage of the exquisite rooms within the palace when planning a wedding. Many of the lavish halls within the palace were designed by one of the greatest architects of all time, Rastrelli and the Amber room is considered to be one of the most beautiful rooms ever created.

For those wanting a more low-key, natural wedding, the estate where Catherine Palace is based, Tsarskoye Selo, has a few smaller palaces and pavilions on the grounds. The bright and airy halls of the Cameron Gallery, for example, with French doors opening up onto a lovely terrace and a grand marble staircase make for a simple yet classy backdrop for a wedding ceremony. While the intimate pavilion on the island, set in a forest of trees, has interiors that are almost splendid as the Catherine palace.

Yelagin Palace

Fairytale Wedding in Russia - Yelagin Palace

In the very heart of St Petersburg lies an island full of rolling meadows, flower beds and oaks. Apart from being the city’s most treasured weekend spot, it’s also one of the most popular wedding venues. Though the charming Yelagin palace is out of the reach of most Russian couples, brides and their grooms often come after the nuptials to release balloons and pose on bridges arching over the canals.

Ethnography Museum

Yes, in Russia it’s even possible to get married in a museum! For a wedding that will have a lasting impression on your guests, the majestic Marble Hall of the Ethnographic museum is sure to take everyone’s breath away. Just imagine waltzing past the rows of 24 ton rose-colored columns with a vast crystal ceiling above and a sprawling marble floor below; it’s the stuff dreams are made of.

St.Petersburg, Inzhenernaya str., 4 T: +7(812)570 5768

Marble Palace

Due to their historical significance, some of St Petersburg’s palaces can’t be rented out in their entirety; however, the Marble Palace is an exception. Built for Catherine the Great’s lover, Count Orlov, the palace was made to be as rich and lavish as possible. With three-tiered chandeliers and mirrored ballrooms, all the ingredients for a royal wedding are to be found within this rather imposing building.

St.Petersburg, Millionnaya st., 5/1 T: +7(812)595 4240

Yusupov Palace

Fairytale Wedding in Russia - Yusupov Palace

So affluent were the Yusupov family, that they were said to have more riches than the Tsar. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that their family seat in St Petersburg, the Yusupov Palace , is perhaps one of the most lavish buildings in the city. Despite its beauty, the mansion isn’t as popular with couples as other palaces. Perhaps the fact that Rasputin was murdered in the basement puts people off…

St.Petersburg, Naberezhnaya Reki Moyki, 94 T: +7(812)314 9892

In the heart of Russia, the country’s glitziest and most glamorous shindigs are held. Helipads, floating stages and musical fountains are commonplace at wedding venues. Any desire, no matter how fanciful or flamboyant, can be fulfilled: the question is not ‘how?’ but rather how much one is willing to spend.

Royal Yacht Club

Only a few minutes’ drive from the city center lies one of the most glamorous wedding spots in Russia. With a Michelin-level restaurant (which can accommodate 500 guests), chic terraces, floating stages and faultless service; it’s no wonder so many celebrities have chosen to say ‘I do’ here. Naturally, plenty of fun can be had with the many gorgeous boats at the yacht club (imagine the entrance you could make, arriving by speed boat!).

Four Seasons Hotel Moscow

Fairytale Wedding in Russia - Four Seasons Hotel

The most iconic hotel in Moscow is undoubtedly the Four Seasons. Looking directly over the Red Square, it’s as central as you can get and, despite its soviet-esque exterior, it is in reality as modern as it gets, having been opened in 2014. Smoke machines, floating bouquets and ice sculptures, have all been used to make the most memorable weddings. For the wedding of your wildest dreams, trust the team at the Four Seasons to make it all come true.

Tsaritsyno Estate

One of Catherine the Great’s many ambitions was to build an Imperial estate for herself in the south of Moscow. Unfortunately, she died before she could see the surreal beauty of her pet project. Nestled within its picturesque, 405 hectares are countless greenhouses, pavilions, palaces and more that date back to the 18th century. Though the whole estate cannot be rented out, the main manor house can be fully disposed for a wedding ceremony and after-party. In fine weather, newlyweds have the option of exploring the estate on horseback or by boat and giant outdoor tents can be set up on the lawns.
