The main deck is entirely dedicated to the Owner with a private area of over 300 square meters divided into two distinct areas: the main cabin in the aft, the lounge area and a second cabin in the bow. Still on the main deck, but with an exclusive access from the upper deck, we find a real theater room equipped with a 119’’ large screen. The upper deck is dedicated to Guests with a wide panoramic observatory lounge to the bow. On the lower deck there are the 5 guests cabins and 1 cabin for the owner's staff. It also has a direct access to the wide beach club and to the spa which features a large terrace overlooking the sea. The wheelhouse bridge houses not only the wheelhouse but a comfortable VIP cabin to the stern.The decks are connected by two elevators, one for crew use only, connecting  the underlower deck with the upper deck where the galley is situated, and the other dedicated to Guests connecting the lower deck to the sundeck.The yacht is equipped with 2 Rupert Marine 32’ twin diesel tenders which are stored in the main deck aft in two dedicated tender bays. Admiral “Planet Nine” is also equipped with a helipad designed to accomodate an “Agusta Grande” helicopter with below deck hangar and refueling capability. Furthermore we find a dedicated cabin and a office for the helicopter pilot, an unique feature considering a yacht of such dimensions.

The interior design guarantees extreme comfort and wide spaces both in the suites and in the various common areas. The interiors recall the classic taste and the elegant atmosphere typical of timeless yachts, but with a touch of sober modernity. We wanted to reproduce the comfort and intimacy of a villa with the intention to live the spaces on board for a good portion of the year. The style is elegant and contemporary.

With massive 2,100GT of volume, PLANET NINE can accommodate up to twelve guests in nine elegant cabins, including a separate owner’s deck and a main deck VIP suite. Her hull is ice classed and comes with a superb specification including her MD 600 Explorer helicopter, hangar and helipad.

Although designed for exploration, PLANET NINE’s interior includes every facet of modern superyacht luxury. A lift serves all five decks, with the owner enjoying an entire deck that creates a private 3,000 sqft apartment with a full suite, dressing rooms, saloon, study and terrace. A VIP suite occupies much of the bridge deck, creating another private area, and the suite has its own lounge, which can be converted into a cabin.

A forward observation lounge affords panoramic 180-degree views and floor to ceiling glass is a feature across the yacht. In the unlikely event that you require a distraction from the outside world, a cinema lives below the observation room.

Planet Nine is a custom motor yacht launched in 2018 by Admiral - The Italian Sea Group.

Planet Nine measures 73.2 metres in length, with a max draft of 3.61 feet and a beam of 12.8 feet. She has a gross tonnage of 2,100 tonnes. She has a deck material of teak.

Planet Nine has a steel hull.

Tim Heywood, the multi award-winning yacht designer, has produced some of the finest and largest yachts on the water. Among his exceptional designs is the stunning 133m Al Mirqab, which was awarded the coveted ‘Motor Yacht of the Year’ at the 2009 World Superyacht Awards.

Her interior design is by Admiral Yachts.

Planet Nine also features naval architecture by Admiral - The Italian Sea Group.

What's the yacht from the movie 'Tenet' ? The name of the superyacht with the starring role in Tenet is 'Planet Nine' , a 73m/240' explorer yacht which is on the market for $101 million and available for private yacht charter from $650,000 p/week (+ expenses). 

Christopher Nolan's 2020 action/thriller TENET has finally hit the big screens and is reeling in rave reviews, critical acclaim, and one pressing question; What's the name of yacht from the film?

The luxury yacht in question stars in a number of major scenes, including (spoilers ahead) the moment where Sator (Kenneth Branagh) travels back in time to a vacation with his wife Kat (Elizabeth Debicki), and the elusive ending where Kat realizes the woman jumping off the yacht is in fact, herself. 

YachtCharterFleet is happy to reveal that the name of the yacht is 'Planet Nine'.

The yacht's name is actually quite fitting, given that the plot of Tenet revolves around finding nine objects that, when combined, will create an “Algorithm” that will reverse entropy for the entire planet and essentially kill all life on earth. Pretty bleak stuff; luckily the yacht itself is far from bleak.

Inside 'Planet Nine': The yacht from Tenet

Built in 2018, Planet Nine is a popular expedition vessel with a number of incredible features, including a full helideck and an incredible locker of water toys which includes scuba gear, inflatable trampolines, surf boards, inflatable canoes, Jet-Skis, and kite surfers.

She features exterior design from the renowned Tim Heywood, and interiors are by Mlinaric and Henry & Zervudachi. Her design teams have opted for a pared-back, minimal interior with a warm and inviting ambience that is achieved through Scandinavian style blonde woods, a neutral color palette and geometric accents.

The yacht boasts an exceptionally large 300 square foot Owner's deck complete with a private lounging area, generous en suite and office space for taking care of any business while at sea.

There is accommodation for 11 further guests in eight other cabins.

Planet Nine is a true 'go-anywhere' yacht, meaning she is perfectly well-equipped for cruising around some of the world's most remote destinations. An impressive home cinema and a library/conference suite are the icing on the cake, so she is ideal for anyone looking to charter a seafaring exploring yacht that offers high-calibre luxury living. 

Where were the Tenet yacht scenes filmed?

All of the yacht scenes in Tenet were filmed on location on Italy's Amalfi Coast, specifically off the coast of the popular medieval village of Ravello. Planet Nine is built for long-range cruising and epic heli-skiing adventures. As such, the 240-foot yacht, owned by billionaire financier Nathaniel “Nat” Rothschild, began life at commercial shipyard Cantiere San Marco in La Spezia, with the purpose of gaining an all-weather hull. Following a legal dispute, Project Nato, as it was then known, was moved to Admiral Yachts in 2016 where the build was completed.

The yacht’s trademark wing stations and mast structures, penned by Tim Heywood, are balanced by a super-sized helipad on the aft deck, which doubles as a basketball court. A forward jacuzzi and bank of sun pads on the sundeck is where guests gather when cruising into port.

Built for more than just posing however, the yacht’s credentials include a range of more than 6,000 nautical miles when cruising at 14 knots. Planet Nine can carry 340,000 liters of fuel, 9,000 liters of aviation fuel for the helicopter, and 40,000 liters of freshwater with the capability of making an additional 18,000 liters per day. How many liters of wine from the Rothschilds’ top Bordeaux estates are kept on board remains a mystery.

Here are 11 facts you didn’t know about one of the world’s foremost heli-skiing explorer yachts.

Rockstar Design

Planet Nine’s explorer exterior was designed by renowned British designer Tim Heywood. The interior is the work of London-based studio Mlinaric, Henry, and Zervudachi (MHZ), which has worked on several of Rothschild’s private residences. Much of the furniture is built by German luxury outfitter Fitz Interior, which built each space at its factory for a walk-through before the whole interior was dismantled and shipped to Italy.

Ice, Ice Baby

The yacht’s hull is ice-classified 1D by Lloyd’s (suitable for light ice conditions) and has thick hull plates, strong frames, and bulkheads. Rothschild stipulated a hull that could withstand six-inch thick ice and the frigid temperatures found in high latitudes to facilitate his love of heli-skiing in Greenland and Antarctica. Aptly, it was Heywood’s design of explorer yacht Ice that brought the British designer to Rothschild’s attention.

Blade Runner

The upper deck main lounge doubles as a waiting area for air transfers, with views straight onto the aft deck helipad. The full-beam landing area accommodates the yacht’s eight-seater MD600 explorer helicopter—the same model that saved Bond’s life in Die Another Day . In true Bond style, the helipad is linked to a hydraulic lift system that can lower the aircraft to a hangar below the deck. When the primary aircraft is safely stored in the hangar, a second helicopter can be accommodated on deck.

Condominium at Sea

Planet Nine accommodates 16 guests (though only 12 on charter) and features an entire owner’s deck. The private, 3,000-square-foot owner’s apartment has a full suite, dressing rooms, lounge, study, and private terrace. The ensuite has a full-sized marble bath. Oh, and there’s even a private owner’s foyer.

The Bibliophiles

It’s not surprising that an Eton and Oxford graduate would enjoy an onboard library, though to include one in the owner’s suite is downright lavish. A second, much larger library that wraps around two walls is found in the main deck lounge, while a third mini-library is in the upper deck lounge.

Triple the Value

Planet Nine enjoys not one but three VIP guest suites. The main deck VIP suite is separated from the library by a pair of sliding doors, making it the perfect choice for guests who enjoy a bedtime read. The second is on the bridge deck, with access to the large aft deck. The third is on the lower deck with a private lounge that can convert into an additional guest cabin transforming it into a family suite.

Sweet Dreams

The lower guest deck includes its own entrance and lobby at the stern of the yacht that leads to five double suites. Guests have free run of this level, largely because the engine room is located on the tank deck below. A mixture of American elm, tropical olive wood, and wacapou is used to differentiate the cabins, while the doors are covered in different shades of Garrett leather to help guests locate their cabin along the long corridor.

Elevator Pitch

Two elevators serve all five levels—lower to sun deck—one taking guests from the beach club jet skis to the top deck Jacuzzi at the press of a button, and the second used by the yacht’s 20 crew, allowing for swift service from the galley.

Glass Onboard

A forward observation lounge on the upper deck is where guests can soak up panoramic 180-degree views thanks to a bank of floor-to-ceiling glass windows that wrap around three sides. Glass features large across the yacht, including tinted glass paneling in the guest cabin en suites in place of traditional marble.

Main Deck Movies

A surround sound cinema lives below the observation room, bringing subterranean glamour to the main deck. Midnight blue crushed velvet flooring is matched with royal purple velvet loungers and cushions for extra comfort. A total of 11 speakers and two subwoofers are contained with great soundproofing so as not to disturb other guests when blockbuster action movies are on screen.

The steam room, spa, and beach club lead onto a picture-worthy sea terrace. The open transom has lights set into the teak decking to illuminate the area at night. There is also a boot room for storing guests’ shoes and personal effects when swimming, which also comes in handy for storing wet dive gear and heli-ski equipment.

With a fully operational helipad, three hardy RIBs built for extreme conditions, and an Ice Class hull, there’s no limit to what you can do with a PLANET NINE yacht charter. Whether you’re dreaming of heli-skiing in Greenland, exploring Raja Ampat with your dive buddy or voyaging to Antarctica, she can do it all.

Interior Design & Engineering

One of her most unique bits of engineering on this luxury superyacht is the lifting helipad, which allows the helicopter to be stored safely in a hangar when not being used. It also frees up the platform for a second helicopter, so you can arrive independently or have one ready to go at all times.

The interior of the PLANET NINE yacht is spacious, with a massive 2,100 GT of volume. She accommodates 12 guests across nine cabins, with nearly the whole main deck reserved for the owner. Spanning 250 square meters, the space was designed to allow the owner to work in total privacy. There’s a generous bedroom, a library and conference room, a separate office, an extra double bed—and access to the side decks.

There’s also a VIP suite on the PLANET NINE yacht that takes up much of the bridge deck. It features its own lounge, which can be converted into an additional cabin. The rest of the guests sleep across five doubles.

Yacht Facilities & Entertainment

It’s easy to move around during your PLANET NINE yacht charter, thanks to the elevator that connects all five decks.

The sun deck has a spa pool that’s flanked by sunpads forwards, a sit-up bar and a dining table amidship. You can recline on the sun pads aft to back in the sun’s rays or watch it set.

There’s lots of entertainment space on the upper deck of the PLANET NINE explorer yacht, too. The aft has sun pads with a further seating area, with sliding glass doors that lead to the main salon and create an indoor/outdoor environment. When you move indoors to the salon, you’ll see more seating overlooked by a formal dining area. There’s also a forward observation lounge with panoramic 180-degree views that are unobstructed by the floor-to-ceiling glass windows.

The main deck has its own guest entrance and lobby at the stern of the yacht. It’s where you’ll find the steam room and a large beach club with its own sea terrace - perfect for al fresco workouts - and a purpose-built cinema.

Toys & Crew

Your PLANET NINE yacht charter comes with an MD-600N Explorer helicopter with space for seven plus a pilot—but you can also use one of her two RIBs to reach dry land.

There’s plenty to aid your personal exploration of the seas: you’ll find jet skis, a jet surfboard, seabobs, paddleboards, inflatable canoes, equipment for waterskiing or kite surfing and towable inflatable toys. You can also use the snorkelling or diving gear to head under the water or play above it on the inflatable jungle gym and trampoline. PLANET NINE also carries snowboard and snow ski equipment and mountain bikes for land-based adventures.
