The coolest yachts to charter at the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix

Heralding the unofficial start of the Mediterranean yachting season, the Monaco Grand Prix brings roaring races, A-lister events and a swell of superyacht titans to the principality each year. The event is one of just two Formula One fixtures on the calendar that can be watched from on board as the yachts moor stern to the track in Port Hercules. Catch the best views of the action from one of these yachts, available to charter at the 2023 race.

Guaranteed to garner plenty of attention, the 60.9-metre Arience is one of the largest charter yachts available for charter at the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix. She was built by German yard Abeking & Rasmussen and delivered in 2012, featuring interior and exterior styling by Reymond Langton Design . You can enjoy front-row seats to race from her expansive sun deck, but if you want a bird's eye view - head up to the circular observation lounge. Or simply relax and soak in the action from the hot tub on the owner's private deck on the bow. Arience sleeps 12 guests and 16 crew, with plenty of space for parties, too.

Arience is available to charter with Cecil Wright with a weekly rate from €595,000.

Feadship's 43-metre superyacht Go , delivered by the Dutch yard in 2010, has secured a spot in Monaco's Port Hercules. She is one of the largest yachts of her size on the water and features excellent deck space – ideal for catching all the race day action. She's also super stylish, with clean lines, modern furnishings and contemporary design running throughout. The spacious yacht accommodates 10 guests and nine crew, plus more for parties, of course.

Go is available to charter with Y.CO with a weekly rate from €200,000 .

The Grand Prix was traditionally considered a gentleman's sport, so where better to watch it than a classic gentleman's yacht. The 35.4-metre Alhambra , delivered by Dutch yard Feadship in 1970, enjoyed a modern refit in 2021 that added contemporary touches to her classic styling. Accommodating 10 guests and six crew, racing fans can bask in the atmosphere from the yacht's large sundeck, two al fresco lounges, or the foredeck, featuring a bar.

Alhambra is available to charter with Northrop & Johnson with a weekly rate from €55,000 .

Catching plenty of attention in her spot at anchor, Palmer Johnson ’s 52.4-metre gold-hulled DB9 is the perfect yacht for entertaining over the Formula One weekend. She’s primed for hosting Monaco Grand Prix yacht charters, with three pools, an integrated speaker system and an expansive sundeck for soaking up the rays. With her sharp, sporty look and supercar-inspired name, DB9 is completely at home at the F1.

DB9 is available to charter with Worth Avenue Yachts with a weekly rate from $25,000,000 .

Making her way onto the rankings of one of the finest charter yachts on the market, Phoenix 2 has some rare availability at the Monaco Grand Prix. The 90 metre Lürssen was designed inside and out by Winch Design to capture the art deco spirit of New York. She is finished with a 5.7-metre firebird figurehead that rises up from the bow like the eagles mounted on the Chrysler building.

Inside, Phoenix 2 is an entertainer at heart and even features a piano lounge, commissioned for an owner with a penchant for music. According to Andrew Winch the 90 metre Lürssen has played host to some world-class musicians and extravagant soirees over the years. Adding to The Great Gatsby vibes, a six-panelled gold-bas relief by DKT Artworks overlooks the custom Steinway.

Phoenix 2 i s available to charter with Edmiston with a weekly rate of €1,150,000.

Competing with the racing cars for attention is the sleek 49.5-metre motor yacht Khalilah , delivered by American yard Palmer Johnson in 2014. Catch the race from her large aft deck or for panoramic views and a hot tub, head to the sundeck. Inside the yacht's bold, gold exteriors, she sleeps 11 guests and nine crew and features interior styling by Luxury Projects and Palmer Johnson's in-house design team.

Khalilah is available to charter with Fraser with a weekly rate from €255,000.

Hot on the heels of an all-encompassing 2023 refit, the 50.4-metre Emerald is a fine flagbearer for classic Feadship style, with her clean lines and well-balanced profile. Returning to the charter fleet after 16 months in the yard she is now more than two metres longer and boasts a striking new paint job, reflective of her new name. Primed for entertaining, Emerald boasts a vast sundeck – a perfect spot to take in the Grand Prix excitement – and has a bar on hand to keep the cocktails flowing.

Emerald is managed for charter with TWW with a weekly rate of €210,000 .

The 66.4-metre Okto was built in Italy by ISA and delivered in 2014, instantly becoming an icon. Now scheduled to be in Monaco in May, the yacht, listed for charter with Camper & Nicholsons , is set to be one of the most in-demand charters at anchor during the Grand Prix. She was designed by Andrea Vallicelli with interior styling by Alberto Pinto , and can accommodate up to 11 guests in six cabins, and 16 crew. Her spacious decks offer plenty of room to celebrate the race day action, while her six-metre infinity edge pool and elevated sundeck Jacuzzi are great places to soak in the atmosphere.

Okto is available to charter with Camper & Nicholsons with a weekly rate from €480,000 .

Having won a World Superyacht Award for her attention-grabbing, vertical-plumb bow exterior, S oundwave will be sure to turn heads during the Monaco Grand Prix. A monochrome masterpiece of poise and comfort, the 63-metre yacht was the second bluff-bowed boat Benetti has ever built, and features a wonderful sundeck, primed for entertaining.

But for those looking for some recovery after high-octane-action at the Grand Prix, the top deck of Soundwave is dedicated to wellness, complete with a massage room, steam room and shower area as well as a mosaic-tiled hot tub for unwinding. A small seating area with a kitchenette allows the crew to serve up smoothies or other healthy snacks to refuel after a day at the races.

Soundwave is available to charter with Y.CO with a weekly rate of €650,000 .

Royal Falcon One

This 41-metre Custom catamaran will be turning heads in Monaco during the Grand Prix, not just because of her sweeping superstructure and visor-like windows, but as one of the few catamarans at the event. Designed by the Singapore-based Royal Falcon Fleet with the F.A Porsche Design Studio , Royal Falcon One is a futuristic-looking entertainer, with a sundeck featuring a Jacuzzi spa tub with cushioned sun pads and an exterior lounge aft on the main deck. She has three bars on board and generous spaces for post-race parties.

Royal Falcon One is available for charter with Fraser with a weekly rate of €195,000.

The record for the fastest lap at the Monaco Grand Prix is held by British driver Lewis Hamilton. He set this record with a remarkable lap time of 1 minute and 12.909 seconds while driving for Mercedes during the 2021 race.

Can I meet the drivers at the Monaco Grand Prix?

Yes, it is indeed possible to meet the drivers during the Monaco Grand Prix. There are multiple events and opportunities to interact with the drivers, and the probability of doing so is relatively high. If you wish to enhance your chances, your charter broker can even arrange a Personal Appearance (PA) on your yacht, offering a unique and exclusive experience during the race weekend.

What is the average speed of F1 drivers on the Monaco circuit?

Monaco’s F1 circuit is uniquely challenging, with an average speed of around 150 km/h. It encompasses the slowest point at the Fairmont hairpin, where drivers move at less than 50 km/h, while also featuring a high-speed section with the only proper tunnel on an F1 circuit, where speeds exceed 260 km/h. This combination of slow and fast elements makes Monaco a distinctive and demanding track.

Who will be on the pit line at the Monaco Grand Prix in 2024?

The 2024 Formula 1 season is shaping up to be an enthralling spectacle with a host of exciting driver line-up confirmations across the grid.

Max Verstappen , the Red Bull prodigy, is under contract until the end of the 2028 season, while his teammate, Sergio Perez , secures his place on the team for 2024.

Over at Ferrari , the iconic Italian team will rely on the skills of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz , both signed on until the conclusion of the 2024 season.

Mercedes showcases its commitment to excellence with Lewis Hamilton , who has extended his contract through 2025, and the promising George Russell also secured for the same period.

McLaren fields a formidable pair with Lando Norris under contract until the end of 2025 and rookie sensation Oscar Piastri locked in until at least 2026.

Meanwhile, the Aston Martin team boasts the seasoned Fernando Alonso , who is set to race in what might be his final season in 2024, and Lance Stroll , ensuring his continued role with the team.

Alpine ‘s line-up showcases stability, with Esteban Ocon securing a contract extension, while Pierre Gasly ‘s presence signals a strong short-term commitment.

Sauber ‘s post-Alfa Romeo era starts with Valtteri Bottas as a familiar face and Zhou Guanyu providing continuity.

Haas retains the experienced duo of Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg , emphasizing the value of their expertise.

AlphaTauri concludes its 2024 driver selection with Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda , ensuring a competitive partnership.

The Williams team still holds one 2024 driver spot open, but Alex Albon ‘s impressive comeback secures his seat for the season.

There are several ways to enjoy the event. You can watch the races from the stands, or from one of the many roof terraces or hotel balconies along the track but, by far the most glamorous option is to charter a superyacht.

Different ways to charter a yacht during the Monaco Grand Prix:

- Renting a charter yacht right in the Monaco port provides the perfect venue for Grand Prix race watching and receptions, whether private or corporate. At CharterWorld we can help organize all your catering requirements, either with the yacht’s Chef, or in conjunction with outside caterers for larger receptions.

- A crewed boat charter to host a special event is a popular choice during the Grand Prix. There are many beautiful yachts ideally suited for cocktail receptions and parties, having vast deck space and all the technical expertise for on-board entertainment. Some yachts can host up to 200 guests in port, while a few also have special licenses for larger groups at sea (above the usual maximum of 12 guests). For parties, we can also put you in touch with local DJs and professional acts for all your entertainment needs.

- Chartering a yacht for luxury accommodation offers a novel and practical alternative to finding a hotel. Monaco hotels typically fill up every year as early as six months prior to the Grand Prix, and rates can be very high. Commuting in and out of Monaco is also very difficult at this time, unless you can access the port by sea.

More About Monaco Grand Prix Yachts:

Every year in May, Monaco’s streets transform into the world’s best known racetrack in the Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit. As well as being a top sporting event, it is also one of Europe's premier social highlights, with many of the world’s top corporations and celebrities visiting the Principality to join in the glamour and excitement of this exclusive event. Many of those who come to stay with their group can also entertain and witness the racing action and excitement by organising accommodation on a Monaco Grand Prix luxury yacht charter.

The Monaco Grand Prix has been held annually since 1929 in the Principality of Monaco. It is a Formula One race which is considered to be one of the most important and prestigious races around the world.

The race consists of the actual city streets of Monte Carlo and La Condamine, which are specially prepared in advance. The cars race down right past the moored super yachts in Monaco harbour. The narrow course is made up of several tight corners, elevation shifts making it the most dangerous and demanding track still used for Formula One motor racing. Although the course makes it difficult for cars to pass, the amazing history and incredible spectacle continue to be considered the jewel of the maximum race category.

"...entertain and witness the racing action and excitement by organising accommodation on a Monaco Grand Prix yacht charter..."

Since it began in 1929, the Monaco Grand Prix has been considered as one of the most important and prestigious automobile races in the world, alongside the Indianapolis 500 and the 24 hour Le Mans, collectively the Triple Crown of Motorsport.

The Monaco event spans four days, beginning with practice runs in May, followed by support races and qualifying rounds, culminating in the main event in May. The race consists of 78 laps of a 3.3km circuit, around the narrow, winding streets of Monte Carlo and La Condamine, and the famous Port Hercule where the boats are moored. It is undoubtedly one of the most exciting tracks in the world, with little room for driver error.

Monaco Grand Prix Yacht Charter: Your Complete Guide

A guide to yacht charter during the Monaco Grand Prix. Information about when to book, securing a berth (and other options), hosting events, finding the perfect yacht, costs and luxury tenders.

The Monaco Grand Prix, the next taking place on May 23, 2024 – May 26, 2024, is as important to yachting as it is to Formula One. Each May, Port Hercules and the surrounding bay welcome thousands of luxury yachts, including some of the most recognizable vessels and owners in the world. This 4-day weekend is one of legend, with unsurpassable stories birthed to the all-glamorous Monte Carlo event. Experience one of the world’s greatest sporting events to the fullest with a Monaco Grand Prix yacht charter.

Monaco Grand Prix Yacht Charter: The Best Time to Book

Demand for yacht charters during the Monaco Grand Prix is at an all-time high. Formula One is as glamorous as ever, and the appeal of luxury charter yachts continues to explode. Very few super yachts have a berth secured in Port Hercules in advance of a charter booking, and the port fills up extremely rapidly with well-prepared yacht charter guests and owners booking early.

For the best chance to secure the yacht of your choice with a trackside berth, it is advised to book up to 8 months in advance (some yachts will accept bookings even earlier). If a berth in Port Hercules is less important to you, then selecting your yacht up to 3 months in advance is advised. Despite common conception, booking last minute is unlikely to yield discounts, as demand is so high! Monaco Grand Prix yacht charter is in high demand!

If you have left it a little too late, do not worry. Our team works tirelessly in preparation for the Monaco Grand Prix, locating yachts for charter clients who have left it to the last minute. For the best chance of securing a last minute yacht charter for the Monaco Grand Prix,  click here to contact our team immediately!

Book up to 8 months in advance for the best chance of securing a place in Port Hercules.

Securing a Berth / Place in Port During the Monaco Grand Prix

Port Hercules boasts 700 berths. During the Monaco Grand Prix, the port is filled to capacity, with berths booked well in advance of the event. In order to secure a berth, it is necessary to fill out a port application form looking to charter a yacht in Monaco . For the best chance of a successful application, it is essential to submit this form as early as possible. In order to do this, you must first select your charter yacht as technical details of the vessel must be specified on the form. Those directly associated with the Formula One, the Monaco Grand Prix and the event sponsors are fast tracked in the process, contributing to the extremely competitive nature of this process. If you desire a berth in Port Hercules, our team will assist with the necessary application.

Smart Solutions for the Happy Few

While it is very challenging to secure a berth in Port Hercules during the Monaco Grand Prix, there are some excellent solutions for those who are sadly unsuccessful:

  • A limited number of yachts hold year-round berths in Monaco. Do note that these yachts are in limited supply and in high demand, so booking early is essential if looking to charter a luxury yacht .
  • Drop anchor in the Bay of Monaco. Guests can then travel to watch the races by luxury tender. It is possible to watch the Grand Prix from numerous track-side events, spectator stands and private yacht parties. This allows you to fully enjoy both a yacht charter and the Monaco Grand Prix races, while saving the fees necessary to secure a berth in Port Hercules (if your application is successful).
  • Apply for a berth in Fontvieille. Fontvielle is located East of Port Hercules, and boasts a port with a capacity of 275. Competition is high for Fontvieille during the Grand Prix, however it is less competitive than Port Hercules. Monte Carlo and the Formula One track are just a short tender ride from the port.

The Port of Fontvielle is a lesser known port in Monaco, and is easier to secure a berth in! It's our little secret.

Charter Yachts gather for Monaco F1 Grand Prix

By Steph Loseby   24 May 2023

Getting ready for all the thrill and action of the Monaco F1 Grand Prix 2023 , a dazzling fleet of 122 luxury superyachts are gathering in Port Hercules, Monaco ahead of the 80th edition of the world-famous street circuit race through Monte Carlo.

Heralding the start of the Mediterranean summer season, the  Cannes Film Festival began on May 16 and as the glamorous event draws to a close, the high-profile superyachts in town for the occasion begin migrating eastwards along the coast, making their way to Monaco in time for the next big date on the event calendar: the Monaco F1 Grand Prix .

Taking place across four days from Thursday 25 - Sunday 28 May, the race brings the South of France alive and promises to be a thrilling spectacle for avid Formula 1 fans, with plenty of VIP social events for the SuperyachtSet to enjoy.

yacht for monaco grand prix

Demand for the Formula One event has proved so popular that every berth in the glamorous Port d’Hercules has been filled weeks ago, with only a few exclusive F1 hospitality packages up for grabs for those wishing to attend.

Things have changed this year as Formula One has taken control of who issues the berths, and with the number of applications massively outweighing the number of spots available for trackside viewing, only a selection of luxury yachts under 55m were lucky enough to secure a prized berth.

As normal, the larger yachts of around 70m are berthed at the T-Dock whilst additional larger superyachts are berthed in Zone 2. This area provides charter guests with a much greater degree of privacy, yet they will find they are still surrounded by the electric atmosphere of the event.

We take a look at some of the most exciting superyachts available for charter at this year’s Monaco Grand Prix.

The largest superyacht charter to soak up the atmosphere of this year’s Monaco Grand Prix is the 126m (414ft) yacht OCTOPUS . Bertherd further out of the port in Zone 2, charter guests onboard this Lürssen yacht will be able to experience the thrills of the race in total comfort and privacy.

luxury charter expedition yacht OCTOPUS

Boasting a large aft swimming pool surrounded by loungers and a full cocktail bar, a cinema suite and superb wellness amenities, the luxury expedition yacht provides guests with an abundance of spacious areas to chill out and relax as they enjoy the race weekend.

CORAL OCEAN

Situated along the T-Dock, alongside an array of larger 70m superyachts, is the  73m (239ft) Lurssen yacht CORAL OCEAN . Home to a voluminous sundeck replete with a pool, bar and plenty of seating, guests can enjoy total outdoor living perfection as they sip cocktails, lounge in the luxe seating area and watch tenders whizz by with show-goers.

Additional yacht highlights include her large beach club and extensive spa facilities which guests can make the most out of during the race weekend. With a crew of 22 on hand to provide outstanding service onboard, superyacht CORAL OCEAN is the ultimate yacht for any luxury yacht charter vacation or event.

Also berthed along the T-Dock, the iconic 71m (239ft) charter yacht TITANIA is just moments away from the action. Conceived by industry-leading designers, superyacht TITANIA is a firm favorite among her guests and an enduring charter icon.

Fusing opulent design with an effortless indoor-outdoor lifestyle and a wealth of modern amenities, the motor yacht is perfectly suited to entertaining on a grand scale and makes a great platform on which to host event charters . Home to an expansive beach club, a full-beam observation lounge and a well-appointed sundeck, there is a wealth of space across her four decks in which guests can relax, dine and socialize, all while soaking up the heady atmosphere.

PERSEFONI I

Bagging a spot trackside in Zone 1, the 54m (176ft) PERSEFONI I is in prime position for the race. Refitted in 2021, the Admiral Yachts superyacht is in turnkey condition to host charter guests at the adrenalin-fuelled Monaco Grand Prix and more Mediterranean yacht charter vacations this summer.

luxury charter yacht PERSEFONI I

For those looking for more privacy during the race weekend, this can be found on her vast upper deck, which features an additional Jacuzzi, full bar and observation lounge, as well as a wealth of convivial social spaces and dining options.

PANDION PEARL

Situated trackside on the straight in Zone 1, the 44m (146ft) charter yacht PANDION PEARL is berthed at an unbeatable location for witnessing the heart-stopping action of the race.

Accompanied by exceptional hospitality provided by Captain Jean-Marc and his dedicated crew, the luxurious Sanlorenzo yacht offers guests a sweeping selection of sumptuous living areas laid out invitingly to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere onboard. Combining sophistication and elegance, the yacht is the perfect platform to enjoy the electrified atmosphere from the comfort and ease of a trackside berth.

Also soaking up the social atmosphere in Monaco this weekend is the 60m (196ft) SCOTT FREE and the 55m (180ft) superyacht LOON who are ready to enjoy the excitement of this year's Grand Prix.

The Prices & Parties Aboard the Iconic Yachts of the F1 Monaco Grand Prix

yacht for monaco grand prix

It’s a bona fide showcase of opulence. Here’s what you need to know about the yachts at the Monaco Grand Prix.

The most expensive weekend in sports is here. Formula 1 drivers will take their talents to the French Riviera on Sunday for the Monaco Grand Prix. Sure, fans mainly flock to watch their favorite driver make the podium, but this particular race is also an excuse to show off one’s latest luxury toys.

In this case, it’s the super-yachts that provide the most picturesque backdrop for the complicated track.

Attending a Formula 1 race is already a bucket-list experience. Watching it from the upper deck of a multi-million-dollar aquatic behemoth? Not many can say they’ll have that opportunity. Logistically speaking, finding yourself on one of those things isn’t guaranteed. You either have to be the owner of the ship, know said owner personally, or eclipse celebrity status that will automatically grant you an invitation if you are even in the general vicinity.

The illustrious Port Hercules marina is the hottest place to be over the next few days, so let’s take a look at what it takes to find yourself amongst Hollywood A-listers and their Very Important Friends.

Get on our list for weekly sports business, industry trends, interviews, and more.

  • Inside the Boardroom

Securing a spot on the water is no easy feat. Many opt to rent one for the weekend, which certainly comes at a hefty price tag. According to The Sports Rush , there are 760 berths up for grabs, and the least expensive will run you $3,800 a night. But it’s no guarantee that price will grant you an acceptable vantage point of the race. If that’s a priority, then expect to pay at least $110,000 a night. Keep in mind, that doesn’t even include food, drinks, entertainment, and anything else to make your super-yacht the most exclusive of the bunch. Also, yachts perched along the inner docks of Port Hercules have a length restriction of 30 meters.

For those looking to experience opulence without the possession of a boat, there’s an option for that. Enter the super-yacht hospitality package. As Yacht Charter Fleet describes, you can still be among the who’s-who in Monte Carlo, and even get a trackside vantage point of the race. Because they don’t come with the responsibility of managing a boat, demand for this option is incredibly high. In fact, many secure their spots for next year immediately following this year’s festivities. All the same benefits like access to premier dining and extravagant amusement are still included.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by AMBER LOUNGE (@amberloungeltd)

Billed as the most prestigious hospitality package in Monaco, Amber Lounge is an immersive experience that aims to please. Securing a pass here is like finding a golden ticket for a trip to the Willy Wonka factory — except you’re likely feasting on the rarest of chocolate available. At this VIP spot, expect to network with F1 drivers, celebrities in town for the Cannes Film Festival, and if you’re lucky, royalty. Some of the must-attend events include fashion shows, charity events, dinners prepared by Michelin-starred chefs, and more. Individual passes for the lounge run €600 ($642) a person and climb up to €35,000 ($37,459) for a semi-private VIP suite table for 10 with free-flowing beverages and champagne. As for the yacht’s hospitality, a weekend experience aboard a cabin includes race viewing tickets, gourmet meals and afternoon tea, an open bar, and a live DJ for a cool €5,100 ($5,458) a person.

Who Owns the Largest Yacht in Monaco?

With all this talk about luxury, it certainly begs the question: What is the largest vessel? That so happens to be The Octopus , which was constructed for the late Paul Allen, co-founder of Microsoft and former owner of the Portland Trail Blazers, Seattle Seahawks, and Seattle Sounders. Measuring 414 feet long, The Octopus is worth $285 million and comfortably sleeps 12 guests. It has two helipads, a basketball court, a movie theater, and its own pool. The price to rent the yacht for a week is almost as extravagant as the amenities it offers, coming in at an overwhelming $2.2 million.

Here are more details about Octopus: The garage alone is 118 feet and holds 7 tenders, several jet skis, and a 10-person submarine. The boat was previously owned by the late Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, costing $20M to operate each year. LISTEN: https://t.co/PRBcQMVf14 pic.twitter.com/E3924hDL7r — Joe Pompliano (@JoePompliano) May 25, 2023

In January, seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton and Olympic medalist Shaun White famously rented The Octopus to cruise around Antarctica, taking the continent’s breathtaking views, stunning wildlife, and more. Hamilton is set to race in Monaco, which he has won three times.

Resilience

Edmiston has released a list of yachts that are still accepting inquiries for charter at the Monaco Grand Prix, which is scheduled to take place May 23-26.

An important part of many charters at this event is the ability to host viewing and other parties for spectators on board. As such, charter clients should expect to incur additional costs beyond typical weekly base rates and expenses. Some yachts require a security deposit, for instance, or additional temporary crew to be brought on board to help with catering and service.

With that said, the 212-foot ISA Resilience can put on quite a show. It has the ability to host quayside events for as many as 110 guests. This 2021 build also has overnight accommodations for 12 guests with 16 crew. The master stateroom has fold-down balconies, and the VIP is on the upper deck with a private terrace.

Wayfinder

Also available is the 224-foot Astilleros Armon power catamaran Wayfinder , which can host quayside events for as many as 200 people. This 2021 build has overnight accommodations for 12 guests, and typically charters with 19 or 20 crew. Key features include a pickleball court, basketball hoop and gymnasium with various machines and equipment.

Jaguar

Yet another option for Monaco Grand Prix charters is the 184-foot Benetti Jaguar , which can host quayside events for as many as 80 guests. Jaguar is a 2005 build that most recently was refitted in 2023. Its overnight accommodations are for 12 guests, with a usual crew complement of 12. The master stateroom spans the yacht’s full beam, and the VIP is on the upper deck.

Ventum Maris

Edmiston also is promoting the 216-foot Amels Ventum Maris for the Monaco Grand Prix, with the ability to host quayside events for as many as 50 guests. Ventum Maris is a 2011 build that most recently was refitted in 2019. Its overnight accommodations are for 12 guests in their choice of seven staterooms, two of which can be set up with double or twin berths. This yacht has a glass elevator that serves all decks, and a cinema projector up on the sundeck for movie nights.

Allegria II

Classic models on sale during Monaco’s Historical Grand Prix

classic-cars-grand-prix-monaco

During the next edition from May 10 to 12, 2024, auctions will feature several sports cars from vintage collections. Here’s a sneak preview!

Vintage cars have an undeniable charm. To celebrate the return of the ‘Grand Prix Historique de Monaco’, the Principality is organising several auctions of ‘dream cars’. Collectors’ pieces of great value in automobile history will go under the hammer during the race. It’s an opportunity to admire Formula 1 cars of yesteryear and other rare vehicles.

12 single-seaters from Jody Scheckter’s collection

The South African former world champion will be selling several of his top cars. Organised by RM Sotheby’s, the auction will be held at the Grimaldi Forum on May 11.

Seven are Formula 1 cars. Including the legendary Ferrari 312 T4, in which he won the title in 1979. A unique item, and the last to be built by the Italian icon in his lifetime. Along with it are others that Jody Scheckter drove over his career. We could mention the 1971 McLaren M19A from his early days, or the Tyrell P34, the only six-wheeled model to ever take part in a championship, and in which he won the Swedish Grand Prix in 1976.

In total, the 12 cars are estimated at a value of 10.9 million euros by the auction house. Quite the collection!

17 exceptional cars for ‘Les Grandes Marques à Monaco’

Collection models will be on show at the villa La Vigie on May 10 from 5 pm, An auction by Bonhams Cars, will feature 17 vehicles.

The most eagerly anticipated is the Ferrari 250 GT, a veritable jewel of 1960s motoring. It was made to measure by the Italian Piero Drogo at Carrozzeria Sports Cars, and toured Europe in legendary races. Its estimated price is between 2.5 and 3 million euros.

Two Aston Martin DB6s from 1965 and 1966, big sisters of James Bond’s car, will also be on sale. As will the 1973 Fiat 124 Abarth Spider Sport Rally that belonged to Massimo Biasion, the two-time rally world champion in 1988 and 1999.

55 models from  « The W Collection : from Stockholm to Monaco »

33 Porsches, a dozen Ferraris, Jaguars and Mercedes-Benz. These automotive treasures will be in the Principality on May 9, for the auction organised by Artcurial Motorcars. The collection tells the fascinating story of a Swedish enthusiast who, despite his love for the cars, has decided to sell them all – without a reserve price.

The star of the show is the 1962 250 GT SWB, a prestige Ferrari sports car. The public will also be able to take in the 1957 Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing, but also his very first coupe, namely the Volvo P1800 S.

<p>The marquee attraction in Monaco is the Monte Carlo Casino. This jaw-dropping Belle Epoque building was built in the 19th century and is the brainchild of the brilliant Charles Garnier. If you’re thinking of swinging by after sunset, the casino’s dress code is pretty strict after 8 p.m. It’s all part of the vibe, making you feel like you’ve entered a glitzy, old-world movie scene.</p>

Things to Do in Monaco on Vacation

Monaco is a small spot on the map in the heart of the French Riviera, but it packs a big punch that can rival countries twice its size.

You might expect flashy cars and luxurious casinos (and trust me, there is plenty of that), but you will discover that there is so much more.

While it’s easy to be swayed by its “over the top” reputation, the real Monaco lies in its tiny alleys, panoramic views, historic sites, and the warmth of its people.

The next time you plan a European vacation, consider Monaco one of your destinations, as the best things come in small packages.
