Feadship 312-foot ‘Bliss’

Launched in May 2021, Bliss has the Dutch shipyard’s all-new hybrid propulsion system. Designed and engineered in partnership with De Voogt Naval Architects, the diesel-electric hybrid system is paired with Polar Code compliance, meaning guests can cruise the more sensitive Polar regions with greater efficiency and as light a footprint as possible. Welcoming nine guests in an interior designed by Remi Tessier, the 312-foot world traveler packs true go-anywhere capabilities, along with a gym, wellness space, a pool and a convertible helideck.

Royal Huisman’s 184-Foot Sailing Yacht ‘Aquarius’

When design simplicity meets cutting-edge technology, the result is 184-foot ketch Aquarius . Built for an owner who likes to race and explore in equal measure, the Royal Huisman sailing yacht shows how performance and classic design do not have to be mutually exclusive. Fast yet easy to sail, Aquarius has a ketch rig developed in collaboration by the yard, its sister company Rondal, and Dykstra Naval Architects. She pairs 9,843-square-feet of sails with the latest in navigational aids to be a world explorer. Classic teak decking and good seakeeping qualities make her a true sailor’s yacht.

Heesen 262-foot ‘Galactica’

The 262-foot Galactica, built by Dutch shipyard Heesen in 2022, rewrites the rules of engineering. The owner’s brief requested fast and big, which led to an all-aluminum build to keep weight down and achieve speeds close to 30 knots, and a newly patented “backbone” for strength and rigidity. Developed in partnership with Dutch hydrodynamicists Van Oossanen, Galactica ’s fast displacement platform is created using two long, flat metal plates that are joined together by a vertical plate in the middle. This prevents the hull from flexing in water. Four MTU engines deliver 19,000-hp, and the addition of a fully-certified helipad means no place is off limits.

Ulstein Verft’s 290-Foot Motor Yacht ‘Olivia O’

Olivia O is a yacht that means business. Robust in every way, she is owned by a commercial shipping magnate with a love for industrial boats. Built by Norwegian shipyard Ulstein Verft Olivia O ’s rustic appeal is exemplified by the use of metal in the Espen Øino-designed interior, from windows with steel borders to corridors with painted metal ceilings. On water, she is defined by Ulstein’s trademarked X-Bow, which was originally designed for use on offshore vessels. Olivia O is the first yacht to ever feature it. Launched in 2020, she bridges the gap between luxury superyacht and authentic rugged explorer.

Oceanco’s 350-Foot Sailing Yacht ‘Black Pearl’

Scooping the top spot for largest DynaRig sailing yacht in the world, Black Pearl is designed by Nuvolari Lenard (assisted by Villate Design). A tri-deck sailing yacht, she boasts three revolutionary 70m DynaRig carbon masts and a sailing system designed by Dykstra Naval Architects. What’s more impressive is that all 2,900sqm of her black, highly distinctive sails can be set in a rapid seven minutes, and all at the push of a button. Her hybrid propulsion system, and other environmental onboard systems, such as waste heat recovery, propel her among a new generation of environmentally sustainable, and highly efficient vessels.

Benetti 351-foot ‘Lana’

One of the most exciting additions to the gigayacht club, Lana was built to discover the four corners of the globe. One of the largest yachts delivered by the Italian builder, Lana is powered by an unusual Rolls-Royce hybrid-electric propulsion, delivering fuel efficiency and long-range cruising. Delivered in 2020, she boasts a large pool on the sun deck that comes with its own heating system, meaning guests can enjoy a splash wherever she cruises. A waterside beach club with folding terraces creates a floating apartment at sea, equipped with a Hammam, massage room, and a dedicated professional therapist makes up one of the 33 full-time crew.

Bilgin 262-foot ‘Tatiana’

Launched in 2020, Tatiana the new flagship yacht from Bilgin Yachts heralded the arrival of cutting-edge, metal-hulled Turkish-built superyachts. With an internal volume of 1,689 gross tons—more than twice that of Bilgin’s previous flagship— Tatiana is defined by long overhangs and a sweeping sheer line penned by Unique Yacht Design. But it’s the 1,200-square-foot lower deck beach club with its two fold-down sea terraces that steal the limelight. The centerpiece is a 30-foot long, freshwater swimming pool. A second glass-bottomed pool on the main deck bathes the beach club below in dappled sunlight. When the shell doors are closed, guests can pamper themselves in the spa that enjoys a hammam, massage room and wet bar with a backlit floor.

Oceanco’s 360-Foot ‘Kaos’ (ex-‘Jubilee’)

The mighty motor yacht Kaos , formerly known as Jubilee , was built by Dutch shipyard Oceanco. For her Moscow-born exterior designer Igor Lobanov, she represents the need to always have faith in your own vision. Topping both length and volume records in the Netherlands at the time of her launch, Kaos’s layered double decks—the very thing that originally put so many people off the concept—are, for Lobanov, the key to the design’s success. “When you’re travelling on a small tender it gives the scale of a bigger yacht, but as you get closer to the yacht you realize her actual size. That’s what we wanted to achieve. We wanted it to be a design trick.” The illusion has been created with smoked glass panels between the decks that run the length of the superstructure and areas of teak decking inaccessible to guests, but which from a distance look like genuine deck spaces. Perfection.

Nobiskrug’s 262-Foot ‘Artefact’

Renowned for a truly striking exterior before she had even hit water, Artefact is the latest launch from German shipyard Nobiskrug. Designed by Gregory C Marshall, she boasts an extensive use of both structural and decorative glass, and includes a number of new technological and engineering features to minimise its environmental impact. These include a large battery storage system which allows the boat to operate without internal combustion engines for a limited time. The biggest-volume 262-foot superyacht in the world, she is also among the first superyachts to meet IMO Tier III emissions regulations and features an innovative diesel-electric propulsion system developed with electric motor manufacturer ABB.

Sanlorenzo 112-foot SX112

As the flagship of Sanlorenzo’s SX crossover line, the premise of the 111.5-foot SX112 is to introduce a new way of living at sea. Described by the Italian builder as a “floating building,” the innovative design enhances guests’ onboard connectivity to the outdoors. It’s achieved by reducing barriers to the outside and closer indoor-outdoor connection. Greater emphasis has been placed on the stern, which has a spacious internal beach area with easy access to the water and beyond, and elsewhere, retractable terraces maximize the outside connection. Exterior designed by Zucccon International, the SX112 gifts superyacht living space typically found on a much larger yacht aboard a compact platform.

Sunreef 78.7-foot 80 Eco

Is there anything more responsible than an electric sailing yacht that creates renewable energy? We don’t think so. The Sunreef 80 Eco is a sustainable transatlantic catamaran that combines electric propulsion with superyacht living and reliable sailing performance. Designed for long offshore navigation, it even generates its own electricity while under sail via a hydro generation system. A total of 1,765-square-feet of ultra-lightweight composite-integrated solar panels are spread across the mast, boom, superstructure, Bimini and hull sides generating up to 32kWp. Inside, the 78.7-foot multihull enjoys living quarters and accommodation for up to 10 guests, thanks in part to a 38-foot beam. It’s like a luxury pied-à-terre on water.

McConaghy Boats’ 140-Foot Trimaran ‘Adastra’

Costing over $20 million to build when launched in 2012, the owner of this custom-built transatlantic trimaran—shipping magnate Antony Marden—has cruised the seven seas for seven years turning heads everywhere he goes. Adastra ’s space age design comes from the boards of British studio Shuttleworth Design and was built in China by McConaghy Boats. Her speedy and light-weight hull is made from a super-strong e-glass/Kevlar foam sandwich, while her superstructure is made up of carbon fiber with a lightweight Nomex honeycomb core. Currently for sale, she provides the rare opportunity to own a yacht with “amazing seaworthiness” and looks like nothing else out there right now.

Superyachts by their very definition are mammoth, so why then can charter vessels often only accommodate comparatively few? The answer largely lies in PYC regulations which limits their capacity, as adhering to them can mean extensive costs, testing, and possible refits. Consequently, many owners refrain from going above the legal limit of 12 passengers plus crew. So whilst an 80m yacht with 10 staterooms might be able to sleep 20 guests, for charter it can often only offer the same as a 50m yacht with 6 staterooms for up to 12 guests. But what do you do if you want to charter a yacht for a party of 12 or more?

Larger charter vessels that meet PYC rules do exist. But make no mistake that adhering to PYC directives is a delicate tiptoe between style and substance. The charter superyachts featured below make this appear effortless: artfully crafting formidable spaces for large parties whilst still retaining the paradisiacal ambiance and character that such vessels are cherished for.

Here's our round-up of the best charter yachts available for 12 guests or more.

A former Soviet icebreaker, the 77m (253ft) motor yacht LEGEND metamorphosed into a powerful, rock-like explorer vessel in 2016, when she was refitted with chartering in mind. Up to 22 people can quench their thirst for epic odysseys on this ship (with capacity for 28 crew and 10 additional staff) across 13 lavishly appointed suites, each representing a sultry, sartorially different universe. While no two rooms are the same, all are linked by their sizzling drama: think intricately carved wood scenes on the ceiling and humbug striped seating that merges into a pool of monochromatic marble below, and all contained by rich mahogany paneling. Her eye-poppingly ornate interiors are paired with elaborate features, including a whisky bar, cigar room, 14-seat cinema and a complete Balinese spa offering almost every wellness aspect you could think of.

From the last great ivory wilderness of Antarctica to Northern Europe 's chiseled fjords painted in big, bold brushstrokes of green, all can be experienced in the bubbling warmth of a 16-person, waterfall-fed, outdoor jacuzzi on the main deck. Combined with her bonanza of tenders and water toys (no less than two helicopters, 4 jet skis, one submarine, two wakeboards, two paddleboards plus snowmobiles) she's primed for practically every adventure imaginable.

Built to enthrall, the echoes of her former life as a 100-passenger cruise vessel are seen in truly exceptional entertainment zones spanning four decks. Sleeping 36 guests across 20 cabins (with room for up to 40 crew) and with a sprawling guest area of 1,800 sq meters, 90m (296ft) superyacht LAUREN L is for those seeking to dazzle their parties with every possible whim catered to.

Her highlights include a staggeringly comprehensive health and beauty center in its own right, featuring a beauty and hair salon, massage room, and an aromatherapy treatment room. But her crowning jewel is undoubtedly the spa, where one can leisurely soak admiring the ever-changing vistas from floor-length windows in a lavender mist, before gazing at their miniature onboard ocean in the aquarium located in the relaxation room.

Opulent living is undoubtedly 80m (263ft)  motor yacht ELEMENTS  modus operandi , masterfully evoked through designer Cristiano Gatto's Islamic and Ottoman architectural flourishes in a muted palette of arctic silvers and icy blues. Eyes trace from floor to ceiling a spectacular multitude of materials across four voluminous decks: where mother-of-pearl inlays are jointly presented alongside intricate mosaics, hand-tufted carpets and backlit onyx. This intensity is magnified in the sunlight-drenched main saloon, which is designed to be the epicenter of activity on this yacht. Pillars are draped in Italian marble giving structure to the undulating layout of the room, replete with as many intimate corners as it has wide, welcoming spaces. 

Opulent living is undoubtedly ELEMENTS modus operandi

Built in 2018, she sleeps up to 24 guests across 12 staterooms. The grand owner's suite located forward is the focal point on this vessel, with the option of converting the VIP cabins on the same deck into a huge, all-encompassing family apartment featuring an office, cinema, private Jacuzzi and bar all cradled by wraparound windows.

Elsewhere, her beach club is clad with a hammam and massage room to pamper guests whenever their heart desires, and on the foredeck, a throng of sunloungers cover the helipad when not in use. Plus, she has an entire armada of water toys to choose from when the open water beckons.

The silhouettes of the world's most glittering icons are forever etched into its glamorous soul. Purchased in 1954, Christina O's former owner (Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis) transformed her from a Canadian anti-submarine frigate into a golden pleasure palace, single-handedly crafting the superyacht playbook for living la dolce vita. Decades on, she still embodies the tycoon's vivacious spirit, tempered by the timeless grace of his wife, Jackie Kennedy.

Decorated in a distinct English country manor style, the 99m (325ft) motor yacht Christina O is capable of carrying up to 34 guests across 17 cabins, and a whopping 38 crew can attend to every need. Last refitted in 2018, her original, undeniably indulgent finishes — such as the orca teeth carved into the walls and the whale skin stools in Ari's bar —  still remain intact. Her much-loved minotaur mosaic swimming pool cum dance floor, the Onassis Suite, and concert room have also been carefully restored.

Moonlight II

No need to reduce your guest list with 91m (299ft)  superyacht Moonlight II : up to 36 guests can call this stately beauty their floating abode, amid 18 plush cabins. The embodiment of grandeur, her interior refit in 2015 (expertly helmed by Greek designer Lally Poulias) suffuses Grecian flair with aplomb across more than 2,400 square meters of guest space.

Six Senses Zighy Bay

The rooms are modern with a rustic feel. Expect rock walls and floors and exposed wood beams towering over you. There are also little divisions between rooms as they flow into each other, like the outdoor bathroom that moves onto the terrace area. The Pangkour Laut Resort is set in The Straits of Malacca in Malaysia. This strait acts as the shortest shipping route between the Indian Ocean and the East. FIRST ON FOX: Rep. Eric Swalwell's  campaign has regularly dropped large amounts of money on luxury items such as posh hotels, flights, yachts and limousines, including international travel.

The California Democrat has continued the trend as far away from his district as the United Arab Emirates in the final three months of 2023, Federal Election Commission filings reviewed by Fox News Digital show.

According to its year-end filings, Swalwell's committee reported three payments for nearly $1,700 in Dubai at the five-star Burj Al Arab Hotel, considered the city's "most iconic hotel" and one of the tallest hotels in the world.

The Burj Al Arab Hotel boasts of being a "global icon of Arabian luxury." It features an array of suites starting at around $1,300 per night and has a private beach, two outdoor and indoor swimming pools, a spa, eight restaurants and two bars, among other amenities.

The Dubai expense, however, was not the only time his campaign spent internationally in 2023. The committee previously paid thousands of dollars for hotels and restaurants in London and Germany earlier in the year.

Swalwell's committee spent nearly $90,000 on travel expenses during the last three months of 2023 alone, including at various other hotels such as 1 Hotel  San Francisco , Austin Proper Hotel and the Times Square Edition, the filings show.

On top of the hotels, the travel expenses included nearly $47,000 in airfare, primarily with United and American Airlines. His committee also spent nearly $45,000 on private security and just under $7,000 on Sunny's Executive Sedan, which offers its clients limousines and other luxury cars and SUVs.

The Swalwell campaign's disbursement report also showed the campaign dropping more than $1,200 on the "Washington Suite Life," which promotes itself as the "premier luxury suite brokerage firm" in Washington, D.C. There is also a $5,364 payment to "Fan Experiences LLC," a company that helps with tickets to sporting events and concerts. The company specializes in NCAA and NFL tickets.

One listing in the report shows a $1,560 charge on Dec. 4 for "Fundraising Event Tickets" at Aramark at Lincoln Financial Field, which is where the Philadelphia Eagles play. According to the Eagles' schedule, they played the San Francisco 49ers a day earlier. Swalwell has cheered on the 49ers in several social media posts in past years.

The campaign report also shows thousands of dollars being spent on luxury restaurants in D.C.: $871 was spent on four transactions at Charlie Palmer's; $895 was spent on two transactions at El Presidente; more than $600 was spent on three transactions at Four Seasons Bourbon Steakhouse; $717 was spent on two transactions at Joe's Seafood, among other charges.

Swalwell's campaign also spent nearly $17,000 on Just Dreaming Yacht Charters, a San Francisco agency that offers "relaxing and luxurious" private yachts for up to 40 passengers, as a fundraising expense.

Swalwell's campaign has routinely disbursed large amounts on travel accommodations despite only having three paid staffers. Throughout the 2022 election cycle, his campaign even spent more on travel and luxury accommodations than then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

During that time, Swalwell's committee spent $583,000 on travel while Pelosi's spent $434,000.

Swalwell's campaign  did not respond to a Fox News Digital request for comment.

‘Fancy cars and flashy yachts’: criminals living the high life targeted by Victoria’s unexplained wealth laws

Police minister says those who ‘swan around with ill-gotten gains’ will be pursued in reforms that flip onus of proof

Organised crime figures who splash out on yachts, penthouse suites and sex workers will be targeted by the Victorian government, under new laws that will force them to repay any wealth they cannot prove was lawfully acquired.

The state’s attorney general, Jaclyn Symes, and police minister, Anthony Carbines, on Tuesday announced they will introduce the Confiscation Amendment (Unexplained Wealth) Bill to parliament, in an effort to deprive criminals of the “use and enjoyment of their unexplained wealth”.

Symes said the new laws would flip the onus from police and prosecutors – who currently have to prove a direct link between a criminal and their wealth – to the offender.

“The barrier has been is that we’ve had to demonstrate that [wealth] is connected to criminal activity. The onus now will be flipped under this legislation, you will have to demonstrate that you obtained it by legal means,” she said.

“It’s very likely unless they won Tattslotto and they can show their winning ticket. They probably were doing illegal activities to obtain their wealth.”

Carbines said the changes will also capture assets bought in a partner or relative’s name as well as gifts, “consumable wealth and wealth that has been gifted, disposed of or expended”.

“If you want to swan around with ill-gotten gains and wealth that doesn’t belong to you, that you’ve accrued illegally, police will be able to pursue you. They’ll be able to pursue your family and your partners,” he said.

“If organised crime bosses think that they can have the fancy cars, flashy yachts, spend their money on hotels and strippers, if you draw your attention to yourself, Victoria police will be after you.

“They will be able to use these laws to crack out and reclaim the stolen wealth that ill gotten gains, and it’s about continuing to make sure we put the pressure on organised crime.”

The new laws will allow the Director of Public Prosecutions to apply to a court for an order if there are reasonable grounds to suspect that a person’s total wealth exceeds their lawfully acquired wealth by at least $200,000.

If a person can’t satisfy a court that they have lawfully obtained their wealth, a court may order them to pay the state the value of anything they cannot prove was lawfully acquired.

The laws have been modelled on those currently in place in Western Australian, but are also similar to New South Wales’ laws, which were also bolstered in 2023 to allow police to seize and freeze wealth and assets without a specific offence.

The opposition leader, John Pesutto, questioned why it had taken so long for the government to introduce the legislation, though he said he supported the concept in principal.

“Frankly, after 10 years, you have to ask, what is it actually doing to crack down on organised crime?” he said.

Three people have been arrested as part of a sting by the Serious Fraud Office into property developer the Carlauren Group.

A private jet and two yachts have been seized, as three people have been arrested, in a £76m raid on a group who ran luxury care homes.

Two sites were raided across St Leonard's, Dorset, and Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, as part of the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) probe, supported by the National Crime Agency (NCA).

The investigation is looking into the UK registered property developer, the Carlauren Group, which collapsed into administration in November 2019.

When it folded, the SFO said that it led to some elderly residents being forced to move out, and left 600 investors out of pocket.

The Carlauren Group bought 23 properties across the UK, often former hotels including the historic Windlestone Hall in Durham, and allegedly claimed to offer annual 10 per cent returns to investors as it sought to turn the buildings into high-end care homes.

However, the SFO said only nine of these became operational and some continued as hotels instead of care homes.

Alongside that, the group allegedly purchased a number of supercars, including two Lamborghinis and a McLaren 570GT, a private jet and two yachts.

Nick Ephgrave QPM, director of the Serious Fraud Office, said: "This company's abrupt collapse has created turmoil and enormous anxiety for many, with elderly people forced to vacate their homes and investors left with nothing.

"Today's arrests are a major development in our investigation and a step towards getting the answers so many people need."

The group was said to have had 600 people and companies invest in the scheme through the purchase of rooms that were to be rented out to the elderly.

This was inside luxury facilities that boasted of swimming pools, room service and other amenities.

According to the SFO, the rooms were advertised and sold with a guaranteed annual payout and opportunity to sell the asset back for a profit after 10 years

In fact, the LAPD recently talked about "burglary tourists" from South America who travel to Los Angeles solely to target luxurious mansions.

Police say the rings sometimes use high-tech equipment like jammers to bypass security systems.

It's unclear if one of these rings is behind the Pierce burglary.

The Truth, a Basketball Hall of Famer, played 19 seasons in the NBA, averaging nearly 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 rebounds. Pierce won a title with the Celtics in 2008.
