The award winning 133.9m/439'4" motor yacht 'Serene' was built by Fincantieri in Italy at their Muggiano shipyard. Her interior is styled by British designer design house Reymond Langton Design and she was delivered to her owner in August 2011.

Serene has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 24 guests in 12 suites comprising one VIP cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 62 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Range & Performance

Serene is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by 8 x diesel-electric MTU (16V 4000 M40) 16-cylinder 2,828hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 15 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 25 knots with a range of up to 6,000 nautical miles from her 800,000 litre fuel tanks at 15 knots. An advanced stabilisation system on board promises exceptional comfort levels at anchor or on any voyage. Her water tanks store around 145,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to Lloyds Register classification society rules.

SERENE Yacht – Dreamlike $400M Superyacht

The impressive yacht was designed by Espen Øino International, with interior design by Reymond Langton Design.

Built by shipbuilders Fincantieri, SERENE was delivered in 2011 from their Muggiano-based shipyard. The superyacht is the epitome of luxury and offers an excellent yachting experience.

 British designer  Reymond Langton Design  penned the interior design of the SERENE yacht. The superyacht can accommodate 24 guests across 12 cabins in 1 master suite, 1 VIP, seven doubles, and three twins.

There is accommodation for 62 crew on the 134m yacht that ensures that guests have a lavish and luxurious experience.

The yacht’s amenities include seven swimming pools, an underwater viewing room, and a health spa.

The beach club stretches almost throughout the interior length of the yacht, providing an excellent indoor-outdoor area for guests to enjoy on the water level.

The beach club features one of the most advanced swimming pools built onboard a superyacht.

A dedicated children’s playroom makes the yacht a family-friendly yachting experience for guests. There is an indoor climbing wall, a top deck with a wet bar, and a jacuzzi.

The SERENE yacht has another spa pool on the sun deck for relaxation on the water, surrounded by sun loungers.

The yacht also has two helicopter pads. The fun features of the yacht include a pizza oven and a teppanyaki grill on board. The yacht’s interior is defined as modern and luxurious with attention to detail.

The yacht also features many social spaces for guests to use and a conference room to conduct business on board.

Espen Øino International penned the expert exterior design of the SERENE yacht.

The 134m vessel presents an imposing with six decks, a blue steel hull, and a white aluminum superstructure. She was built by  Fincantieri  in their Muggiano shipyard and delivered in 2011.

An impressive display of underwater lights emphasizes the yacht’s exterior during the night.

The yacht was the first ever to be built by the Italian shipyard, which had primarily focused on commercial ships before.

The 133.9m superrich has a beam of 18.6m and a draft of 5.6m. She has a massive volume of 8321 gross tons powered by 8 MTU engines.

With a range of 5000 nautical miles, she has a maximum speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots.

The SERENE yacht is one of the largest yachts in the world; at the time of her delivery, she was placed at the 9th largest yacht in the world. She has a $25 – $35 million running cost per year.

Built for a Russian owner under an extreme blanket of secrecy, Serene, the first yacht from Fincantieri, the large Italian commercial shipyard in Muggiano, Italy, was launched in September 2010 with completion, blue hull paint and sea trials in 2011. She is the largest yacht ever launched in Italy and features more than 4,000 square meters of interior space among seven decks, plus two helipads and a hangar. She reportedly carries a 100-metre submersible. Standout features include a sauna and adjacent snow room for a true Nordic experience.

Fincantieri has devoted increasingly substantial resources to this market in order to offer customers ever higher levels of quality, design and style. Designed in accordance with the maximum class of international safety regulations for passenger transport, the yacht Serene  features seven decks, a hangar and two helicopter landing pads. A Closer Look at Serene: The $330 Million Yacht Bill Gates Chartered

While many people must scrimp and save to afford a family holiday, that is not the case for the rich and famous, who have the financial means to go wherever they want whenever they want. You will not find them in budget motels or trying out a destination’s free attractions. Instead, wealthy people can choose the most luxurious accommodation and unique experiences possible for their vacation. One such person who can afford these luxuries is Bill Gates who, with a personal net worth of $95.4 billion, is the second richest person in the world. He has even chartered a yacht worth $330 million to enjoy a vacation with his family.

According to Boat International , Gates chartered a yacht called ‘Serene’ for an estimated $5 million per week. He did this to enjoy a break away with his wife and three children. The family enjoyed a week together on the yacht just off the coast of Porto Cervo, Sardinia, in August 2014.

The 133-foot yacht is one of the largest in the world, and it is owned by Yuri Scheffler, the Stolichnaya vodka magnet. This yacht was delivered to him in 2011, and he has had it on the charter market ever since. Built by the Italian shipyard Fincantieri, it has a rather impressive crew of 53 to take care of the needs of those who charter the yacht. So, what is on the inside of this ship to make it such an amazing experience that is worthy of the high price tag?

The Yacht Charter Fleet has ways for its travelers to enjoy activities both off and onboard. The helipad is available so that guests can take trips to the mainland to enjoy a little sightseeing, a meal in a restaurant, or a local activity. There are also jet-skis available for some fun one the waves around the boat or to travel back to the mainland to enjoy some time away from the yacht. Furthermore, the yacht has its very own submarine. However, you might wonder why anyone would want to get away from the yacht when there is so much to enjoy onboard, including activities for children. Just some of the activities and amenities on board for entertainment include a climbing wall, a trans-deck waterslide, a snow room, a playroom, multiple pools, and a cinema. This means that there are plenty of things onboard to keep the children entertained.

This yacht is not all about the kids having fun, as there are plenty of things for the adults, too. In fact, Serene has a myriad of amenities spread over its six decks that make this a unique way to vacation. From the outside, one of the ship’s most impressive features is its supersized bathtub on the sun deck. The award-winning Serene has a private beach club that has a secluded sunbathing area and a sauna. There are also two Jacuzzis and a sundeck dance floor. Opposite the relaxing hot tun tucked underneath the ship’s observational deck is a fully stocked wet bar with extra sun loungers.

Two of the indoor living and entertaining spaces include a cocktail lounge and a piano bar, while outdoor there are various al fresco dining areas, such as a wet bar, a barbeque, a Teppanyaki grill, and a pizza oven. An unusual space in this yacht is the underwater observation lounge, which many people would find a relaxing area as they watch marine life existing in tranquility around them. Serene also has rather impressive accommodation and it can accommodate up to 24 guests. There are 12 luxurious staterooms, include a master suite, a VIP suite, seven double suites, and three twin cabins. The interior design is the work of Espen Oeino with styling by Reymond Langton. The duo has created living spaces that are stylish and opulent while also being comfortable and versatile.

One of the most impressive areas in terms of styling is the sky lounge. This room is decorated in shades of cream that is accented by darker colors and finished with wooden fixtures. It is equipped with sofas, chairs, and coffee tables for relaxing, and boasts some of the most impressive views from the ship which you can view from almost any vantage point. Another fantastic space is the main lounge, which is a more formal area for entertaining. The main color used is white, which gives the room a bright and airy feel, and some warmth is added with darker tones. Central to the room is a piano, which is surrounded by cocktail tables. An unusual feature of this room is its chandelier. The lounge is located directly above the main dining area, and the chandelier drops between the two rooms.

A double staircase leads down to the chic dining area below. It is set to accommodate a maximum of 24 guests and features two 12-seater tables. However, there is the possibility of entertaining even more people as the tables are extendable and there is plenty of space. This means you can host a banquet in this room. Floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides of the rooms give spectacular panoramic ocean views.

Bill Gates’ time on the yacht with his family is part of his plan to take a more relaxed approach to life and to spend some time away from the office. He has said that he doesn’t have the energy he had when he was younger and plans to balance running his Microsoft Empire and enjoying time with his family better now that he is older. This includes taking vacations away with his loved one. Serene and other chartered yachts are the perfect way for this billionaire businessman to relax and have some fun in comfort and privacy.

Since Gates’ vacation on the yacht, Scheffler has sold the superyacht to Mohammed bin Salman, the deputy crown prince of Saudi Arabia says Yacht Harbor . The Saudi Arabian royal paid a whopping $458 million for the yacht in July 2015. The yacht was once the ninth largest in the world, but it has now dropped into the 15th place because even more impressive superyachts have been built since.

Riyadh : The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, is known for his lavish spending and owning several luxurious properties around the world, including a serene superyacht worth dollars 400 million (Rs 32,74,61,20,000).

The Crown Prince bought the yacht from the previous owner, Russian businessman Yuri Shefler in 2015.

Leonardo da Vinci’s Salvator Mundi, one of the most expensive works of art ever purchased for 450 million dollars (Rs 36,86,96,25,000) in 2017 (more than the yacht itself), is on display on the yacht.

Prior to the sale of the yacht to the Crown Prince, Serene was provided for charter to select guests. Among them is Microsoft founder Bill Gates, who reportedly rented Serene for 5 million dollars (Rs 40,97,49,500) a week during the summer of 2014.

The sundeck offers Hot and Cold Spa Pool’s alongside the spacious jet stream pool, sun lounge, and sun pad areas. There is a day head on the sundeck.

The aft area of the deck below offers a helicopter pad that converts to an either a pool or a dance floor.

Deck 4 Upper deck: The forward observation lounge is a spacious inviting lounge area with panoramic views, ethanol fireplaces and easy access to the exterior. An ideal place to relax alone or with the entire party.

Aft of the observation lounge are 3 well sized double cabins ( all with king size beds), one convertible double/twin and one twin nanny/staff cabin. All with excellent en-suite facilities and wardrobe.

The conference/ boardroom on deck 4 boasts excellent audio-visual facilities and can also be divided into two separate conference/meeting rooms.

The piano bar and lounge are the perfect settings for an evening’s entertainment.

The main deck offers a range of possibilities: immediately aft is a bandstand with a non-slip dance floor. In the day this glass floor can be withdrawn letting natural light flood the fresh water / seawater pool below.

The interior boats the formal dining area with either a split or united dining for 24+ and guest lounge, further accommodation of 2 doubles, nanny suite, and children’s suite. Forward to starboard the children's games room drops through two decks and has an interior slide and climbing wall plus play area. A true paradise for the kids.

Deck 2 aft offers endless possibilities for fun. The seawater or freshwater swimming pool, sauna, hammam, and beauty centre with swim platform. A uniquely designed 'snow room' with snow maker for those who love to leap from the freezing cold into the sauna, the sea or the hammam!

The owner's sea cabin with its private swim platform (and private lift) is a further superbly appointed double cabin.

Opposite the guest galley is a degustation room where a permanent selection of edible delights is available 24/7 for guests. Last but not least the Nemo room is a Jules Verne adventure - decorated as the interior of an ancient submarine ( 20,000 leagues under the sea) this room offers glass bottom viewing and delights for all.

A Place For Everyone To Unwind:

By day, deck five is perfect for al fresco dining and relaxing, with a wet bar, barbecue, pizza oven and even a Japanese style teppanyaki grill. After lunch, guests might head to the bridge deck for a dip in one of M/Y Serene’s swimming pools, if the 15-metre saltwater pool on the beach club is too crowded. Of course, there are hot and cold Spa Pool tubs and an expansive sun lounging area. After a hard day, the top deck is the perfect place to watch the sun go down, perhaps from the comfort of yet another pool or one of its neighboring Spa Pools, before beginning an evening of entertainment. Dance the night away on the aft deck, with its two bars, dance floor, and bandstand...

Guests looking for activity on board can choose from a myriad of swimming pool; Spa Pools, both hot and cold; the inimitable snow room, spa area, sauna and even a cinema. Designed with family holidaying in mind, Serene has a children’s playroom complete with X-Box, PlayStation, and climbing wall. For kids of all ages, there is a slide between decks 3 and 2, a much more fun alternative to lifts and stairs!

The yacht which gives everything:

Delve into the yacht’s garage and you will discover an exhaustive collection of tenders and toys, ensuring water fun for all guests of any age. Serene also boasts a helicopter hangar and two helipads (one of which converts into a swimming pool when not in use). And finally… for the businessman who needs to work, hidden away there is even a boardroom with full conference facilities.

Serene’s master cabin has its own private lift direct to the Nemo Room, an intimate underwater viewing room inspired by the novel 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. For a different attraction, the galley also has glass walls so guests can enjoy the incredible expertise of the chefs in action. And although you might not expect ‘cosy’ to be an adjective used to describe a 134m superyacht, the forward observation lounge, with its domed fireplaces, is just that. For a moment’s peace, bookworms can retreat to the onboard library while others head for pampering in the spa deck. For more formal entertaining and socialising, the dining room features its own cocktail bar, complete with grand piano.

Impressive for her sheer size and volume her space has been utilized in a such a fashion that guests never feel dwarfed nor lost. She is a very personalised yacht with a stunning attention to detail.

SERENE can accommodate twenty four guests. She has 12 enormously luxurious staterooms including a principal's/owner's deck/suite, VIP staterooms and guest staterooms in both a double bed and twin bed arrangement. The principal's deck boasts an exterior hot tub situated on the principal's terrace. The principal's stateroom has a centered oversize California King bed, full walk in dressing area and spacious en suite bathroom. (The second master cabin also comes with full ensuite facilities and walk in dressing room.) The owners stateroom has its own lift which links to the owner’s 'sea cabin on deck 2' with private swim platform. Aft of the owners suite is the owners salon, lounge bar and library with fireplace. This area is accessible to guests or able to be kept private for the principal, depending on requirements. Serene also generously accommodates a crew of fifty two in separate crew quarters. The principal's deck boasts an exterior hot tub situated on the principal's terrace. The penthouse is a livable fusion of clean-lined contemporary design and a minimalist aesthetic, paired alongside organic forms and raw materials. The entire home is awash in natural light thanks to a double-height interior garden and a stone-clad feature wall that runs the length of the two-story apartment. The garden wall uniquely connects the urban aerie to nature and infuses the space with life. Logic Design + Build dramatically transformed the space by incorporating a large skylight and reconfiguring the staircase to have a smaller footprint while maximizing functional spaces and circulation.

“Aanandam—a transformative reconfiguration of a penthouse dwelling—sets out to change the narrative, perception, and experiential quality of a space, yielding a significant impact on thought and lifestyle,” says Anuj Kapoor. “It’s a testament to the power of design to redefine urban living. Marrying organic and contemporary forms to anchor the visual narrative, the redesigning celebrates the individual aspirations of the dwellers and commits to the idea of urban comfort.”

“The raw finishes depict a story of laborious sampling and experimentation to give the space an excellent textural quality,” Kapoor says. “A visual connection is established with the outside world, infusing the home with a liberating sense of freedom, openness, and airiness, cocooning inhabitants in a nurturing environment.”

The designers didn’t scrimp on high-tech creature comforts, either. The home is fully automated, with lighting and climate systems throughout the penthouse that can be operated remotely.
