Michael is an awesome host, not only a really good person but very accommodating and helpful. The boat is 10/10!! Perfect condition and we were able to free dive today, stop to get some food along the bay, and even took it to a sandbar. Highly recommend!

Shanti and his first mate Stefan were a joy to go out on the water with. We came across humpback whales in the first 20 minutes, then jumped in the water to snorkel with a pod of Pilot whales, and finished up the day snorkeling in a beautiful spot with turtles...oh and we and had dolphins swimming alongside the boat as we cruised to the snorkeling spot. You can never be guaranteed as to what you will see on the water, but I can guarantee you that if the wildlife is out there, Shanti and Stefan will find it and you will love being in their capable hands on this beautiful boat!

The renter should check the cancellation policy with the boat owner, as some of the professional operators have specific cancellation policies which supersede that of Sailo. Whenever a boat owner doesn't have a specific cancellation policy, Sailo's Standard Cancellation policy will apply.

Our sunset dinner cruise includes fantastic food, cocktails, and live music.  Our "Fresh Catch" Fireworks cruise is a local favorite and is offered every Friday. Whale-watching tours are seasonal and offered from November - March. All of our cruises offer beautiful views of Diamond Head and the Honolulu coastline. 

The Vida Mia is also available for private charters. “Vida Mia” translates to “my life,” a term of endearment in Spanish, and is the perfect venue for an intimate evening with friends and loved ones .

The Via Mia is a fully restored antique yacht located in Honolulu, Hawaii. The worldly 61-foot wooden yacht was constructed in 1929 in Stockton, California. Built for luxury, she traveled the world before crossing the ocean to Hawai‘i where she currently resides in beautiful Waikiki.

If her teak could speak, Vida Mia would not only tell stories about movie stars and politicians who enjoyed her lap of luxury basking in the sunsets off Waikiki, but of the countless grand times of families and friends who created lifetime memories aboard this gorgeous, iconic vessel.

The Vida Mia has been on the silver screen starring in movies dating all the way back to the 50's.

Nearly everyone you meet on the island has a story of an event or adventure on the Vida Mia. 

She had made Hawaii home for over 60 years.

The Vida Mia is an exclusive experience that our guests remember for years.

The Vida Mia served her country during World War II. She arrived in Hawai‘i after serving as an unofficial escort of the famed Transpacific sailing race in 1963, although it’s said perhaps the Transpacific racing fleet was really escorting her.

Our experienced maritime staff has traveled the world restoring and preserving old sailing vessels and has extensive experience with classic yachts and wooden boats.

We are conveniently located near all the major hotels in Honolulu. We share the harbor with the nearby Prince Waikiki , Ilikai Hotel , and the Hilton Hawaiian Village . If you are staying at the Royal Hawaiian , Outrigger Waikiki, or Sheraton Waikiki we are a short 10-15 minute walk along the beach. Many of our hotel guests take a morning stroll over to the harbor or rent a Biki bike at one of their kiosks. There is a nice bike path along the beach; you can catch it right at the end of Lewers Street or take the scenic route and cut through the path at the Hale Koa Hotel .

For guests staying on other parts of the island, we offer transportation recommendations.

There is ample parking near the vessel. Parking in the Ala Wai Small Boat Harbor is convenient and affordable.

We recommend shared rides or taxi service for cruises that depart on Friday evenings.

To calculate just how expensive it is to rent in each city,  Numbeo has come up with the Cost of Rent Index. According to their website, "This index estimates the prices of renting apartments in a city compared to New York City. If the Rent Index is 80, it suggests that the average rental prices in that city are approximately 20% lower than those in New York City." For reference, the Point2 real estate agency estimates that an average NYC apartment goes for US$4,392 per month.
