Since 1972, Walden’s Lakeview Dining has served its community with delicious cuisine and a top notch, elegant experience. As the first restaurant to be built on Lake Conroe, we had the unique opportunity to use the panoramic lake views to our advantage, and create a beautiful experience for all who dine with us. Walden’s has been the hub of social activity on the lake ever since.

• Snack bar is Closed. Coolers with food and drinks are allowed
• ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL OR GLASS CONTAINERS
• All coolers are subject to be searched for alcohol
• All Members will be required to have Member Card to check in
• Walden does not book or reserve the pool for pool parties.
• All guests not on member account will pay $5 guest fee and must be accompanied by a member

Swimming Attire

Rules & regulations.

Lifeguards are on staff, but have a safety break for 10 minutes every hour. Noone may use the pool during this time. Persons who use the pool in the absence of a lifeguard do so at their own risk. Swimmers must leave the water upon the request of a lifeguard.   A $5 guest fee will be charged for every guest of a Member entering the pool area. 

A responsible adult must accompany children under the age of 14 at the pool at all times. They must remain in shallow water unless given permission by the lifeguard to enter deeper water.

Running, wrestling, pushing, dunking, roughhousing and towel snapping are not permitted anywhere in the pool area. Food and beverages may be consumed only in designated areas and may not be taken into the pool. Glassware, chewing gum and outside food and beverages are not to be brought into the pool area. Absolutely no alcohol is allowed in the pool area.    For safety reasons, inflatables are not allowed in the pool.  Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs to the pool.

We enjoyed the Breakwater grille's taco Tuesday special. They offer 3 street taco's and margaritas for $5.00 each. The street tacos topped with cotija cheese had great flavor and came with a wonderful green salsa sauce. The serving was perfect for my mother and I... but not quite enough for my husband. The Margaritas were made to order not a premix! Our server Emily was pleasant and attentive! More

We are hosting a wedding next January and went Friday night to do the tasting. We are actually blown away by the quality of food the chef prepared, so we went back for Sunday brunch. My husband and I travel the world and that brunch... ranks amongst the very best we’ve ever experienced, with a wide variety of foods: paella, ceviche, ribs, omelettes, steak with chimichirri, Nutella crepes, and on and on. Highly recommended. Make reservations early. We went at 10 am and loved it. If you have a child, be prepared for the chef to spoil them. My granddaughter got a chocolate dessert with ice cream and declared that it was the best day of her life! More

We had so many comments on how good the food was at our daughters wedding reception held at Walden Yacht Club. The view of the lake was beautiful. The venue and food made this choice five star!

Went a month ago sat outside on a picnic table and had a $4 draft in a nice cold pint glass. Next time I ordered a draft it came in a much smaller plastic cup. Last night I ordered a draft and it came in... even smaller plastic cup. About half of what the beer was only a month ago. What is going on? Oh yes, when the bill comes the draft was now $5. Ordered $10 burgers. So So burger, meat was decent size, hot & cooked nicely, but not much taste. A dollar to add cheese. Fries were really not worth eating. Had a band that was so loud could not talk at all. So happy when they took a break. More

Not what it use to be. Very disappointed in the quality and quantity now. This use to be our favorite brunch spot, but seriously doubt we'll be back. They lowered price to $12, but I would have preferred they keep the price and keep the... same quality and quantity. No soups, one bowl of mixed green salad, one bowl of fruit - no variety as before. No ham, overcooked roast beef- dry and not good flavor. Eggs Benedict didn't have hollandaise sauce, but a peppery, not good sauce. Potatoes weren't good, weird taste. Big bowl of cocktail sauce, but not a shrimp in sight. Crepe station was lacking bananas, blueberries, etc. I could go on and on, but you get the picture. More

I was not very impressed. The menu on the website is not the same as in the restaurant. Use to serve bread when first order, had t ask for it after the meal was served. On ordering desert, did not ha cherry jubilee, banana foster... will not just make one. We ordered tiramisu, and that was frozen solid. At this point I will not return ever again. More

We decided to visit this restaurant based on the previous reviews. So, my wife and I got dressed up and showed up for a 7 pm reservation. We requested a table by the window but didn't have any available. We were seated and got our... drinks pretty quick, but waited 15 minutes to even be recognized by our server. I ordered the Filet Mignon and my wife ordered the MahiMahi with shrimp, crab, and oysters. When my filet arrived, it was the worst looking filet I have ever seen. It was the size of thin sliced sirloin that had grill marks but looked gray and the mashed potatoes looked like instant potatoes. Both our plates did not have the presentation of a fine dining restaurant. I have visited and reviewed many fine dining restaurants so I know what I am talking about. I had them take the steak back and I didn't want to eat anything else based on that first impression. Come to find out, my wife's plate had crawfish instead of shrimp, didn't have any crab, and a single oyster. We pointed it out to our server who took it back to the kitchen. The manager came out with the exact same plate; crawfish, no crab, and an oyster. I told him I wasn't happy with service and food so he said there wasn't anything he could do to make us happy and told us to leave. No apology, no anything but told to leave. I have never been so insulted at any restaurant. This is no fine dining restaurant by any stretch of the imagination. More

My husband and I decided to try this place a second time. We went years ago and couldn't really remember if it was good or bad. Since this was rated the #1 place to eat in Montgomery on trip advisor we thought we would give... it another shot to celebrate our 12th anniversary. I looked on the website and it says you can make reservations. So I called ahead and reserved a table for 6pm. My husband got out of work early so we decided to go early. There was no wait and it wasn't busy, so we were seated immediately. I would also like to say that the website says that you shouldn't wear jeans or tshirts. My husband and I both got all gussied up so we were in their said dress code only to find we were overdressed. Everyone there was wearing jeans! Our server was nice, but a bit slow. I had the chicken nani, which is chicken breast marinated in italian dressing topped with goat cheese/sundries tomato mixture. It was good, but I felt like the dish wasn't balanced well. The topping was very over powering. I think it would be better stuffed in the chicken or served with less topping. My husband had the prime rib special. I tried a bite and it was a bit on the fatty side for my taste and wasn't my bag. My husband agreed it was a bit fattier than he was used to and said he wouldn't order it again. Overall, everything was fine but not as expected. We were expecting a much nicer ambiance, food, and service. During our meal a family with loud screaming kids was seated in our section. Don't go here if you want a romantic evening or awesome food. More

We decided to try Walden Yacht Club for a belated (by one day) anniversary dinner. We began with what my husband and I agreed was the best Cosmopolitan we have ever had. Perfectly chilled, crisp, delightful. Fresh bread and butter arrived early. We enjoyed a... appetizer of escargot, tender morsels swimming in garlic butter with more fresh hot bread served. There was a wine special featured by the bottle by the glass. We chose a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon for less than $40. Our dinner entre of filet of beef and grilled shrimp was a perfect medium rare served with mashed potatoes and fresh green beasts. The service was impeccable and the live music sublime. We were served a complementary dessert without them knowing it was our anniversary. The view of the lake is so relaxing. This was a wonderful experience. More

We quite often have visitors from out of town. We often take them to the Walden Yacht Club for brunch on Sunday before they head back to their homes. Weather permitting, we drive the boat over there and park at their doc (it's a 15... minute boat ride vs. 40 minute drive by car). The wait staff is sharply dressed in black pants, black shirt, and black vests. They are professional - no exposed tattoos or multiple piercings (not that I have anything against that, but the clientele there are mostly elderly and don't necessarily embrace that "look"). My coffee cup has never been empty, as the staff is attentive and ensures that you have everything you need. The brunch buffet is wonderful, though you do have to choose between "breakfast" and "lunch/salad" - or get both with the "grand buffet" and add prime rib and some really snazzy desserts. They make omelets to order, and there is a huge selection of breakfast meats and pastries, as well as eggs benedict. On the salad buffet, there is a soup (seafood bisque, crawfish etouffee, tomato-basil, cream of asparagus have been some of the selections), several great salads like caprese salad, a great pasta salad with italian-style meats, lox and cream cheese, there is even caviar on the salad bar. The view of the lake from the dining room is magnificent. The dining room, while busy, is not noisy, though I have to admit the lady singing there sometimes grates on me (she has a good voice, but I like a bit of variety - but hey, we're there for less than an hour so I can deal with it). People often go out on the balcony after their meal to take pictures of the lake in the background. One can see the Lake Conroe lighthouse from the balcony. More

The location, even without the excellent brunch, is a fantastic place to enjoy a Sunday brunch. They offer three types, a soap & salad, breakfast and one that includes all items. Each one is priced accordingly. Service staff, outstanding, all being friendly and helpful.

This is our favorite restaurant in so many ways. My husband is in sales so we entertain frequently in different cities across the south. The decor and ambiance is great and the food is superb and has been consistent in the 30 years we have... been going there. The service is impeccable and the team works with precision and are very friendly. Melissa, the lovely entertainer, has an angelic voice and provides a great atmosphere for dining and great music for dancing as well. This is a 10 out of 10 experience and I recommend it to anyone for a special occasion or just a wonderful night out. More

If you are in Walden on Sunday, don't miss the brunch! Excellent selection, magnificent views, great service and so affordable! We always take our guests here, and recently had my mother's 90th birthday party there. I'd give this place 6 stars for brunch! We've only... had dinner there a couple of times, not nearly as impressed with the food or prices during the week. But the staff is always top notch! More
