The Staniel Cay Yacht Club Restaurant is the perfect location if you are staying on Staniel Cay or on a boat. Reservations are needed for dinner if eating in the nicer dining area. However, we found both flexibility and savings by having dinner in the... bar dining area (which serves off the lunch menu until 9:00PM and does not require reservations). Portions were substantial and the food was fresh and delicious. More

We stayed on Staniel Cay for 5 days during the Covid-19 crisis and were thankful that the Yacht Club set up a takeaway service for non-guests, as we were staying on the island with limited food buying options and cooking facilities. Every time we went... to the takeaway window, the staff were welcoming & friendly. We had a variety of breakfast, lunch, boxed lunch and casual dinner meals. Highlights were the blackened chicken, beef burger, chef salad (massive portion!) and club sandwich. They occasionally forgot an item on the boxed lunch or breakfast, so checking orders could improve, especially as they weren't that busy. More

Made (pretty much) mandatory reservations on the day-of for the early seating, and delighted to have made this decision. Seating near window was lovely, and the five of us enjoyed the attentive service and tasty food. Afterwards we had some cocktails at the bar before... taking our dinghy back to our bareboat charter where we had tied off to one of SCYC’s secure moorings ($50/night) along the channel. Well worth the stop, especially with Thunderball Grotto just a quick (5 minute) dinghy ride from this morning. More

Group of 8. There are two seatings 6:30 and 8:30 and given large boat charter crowd a reservation is essential. Also they ask u to provide your entree selections ahead of time by that morning. Fish and bbq ribs were good. The expensive rack of... lamb and Cornish game hen was way over salted and had to be forced down because we were hungry. Very disappointing. We told the staff and they said it was the prep chef’s fault and they would let them know. However no accommodation made like taking a bottle of wine off the bill. For a restaurant trying to be high-end this was vey short sighted of them. I recommend u skip the expensive ($100 pp) restaurant and make your own dinner and enjoy the incredible sunset. More

This was the only restaurant open on the island, aside from a small more local bar place. Many yachts and boats make a stop here so it can get pretty crowded. The staff was friendly and work very hard. The food was good but after... a week of eating every meal here, it would've been nice to have more choices on the menu. The blackened fish is very good and my kids enjoyed the burgers and fries. More

Our accommodations were wonderful we stayed at the yacht club in a bungalow. We were assigned a boat which allowed us the freedom and privacy of making our own agenda . The kitchen staff were incredible , they packed a cooler for us every day... so we could have lunch out on one of the islands , and dinner was in the restaurant .. it was delicious , everything from lobster to cracked conch ( one of our Bahamian favorites ). The vibe was layed back and relaxing surrounded by elegance and charm . More

Much to our surprise, the food was fantastic. The lobster salad may be the best that we've ever had, and the conch po boy was as delicious as it was unique (for those of us not from the area anyway). Service was prompt, super friendly... and welcoming and helpful. If we're ever back in the area, this will absolutely be deserving of a return visit. More

Decent spots to enjoy pub fare are few and far between. No one should be knocking the food. So, let’s talk about service. We have been to many places in the Bahamas. We have been to Staniel Cay a lot. No one is in a... rush, and neither are we. We get and enjoy the vibe. But the service from the bartender yesterday bordered on open hostility. Drop the menu, walk away. She would not look at us. So we ended up going through the other bartender to get our order taken, drink refills, etc. what that means is when he looked at our corner we asked for another round. He turned to the bartender and told her we wanted something. A minute later she appeared. She was just talking to other waitstaff at the other end of the bar. After getting the bill (they include gratuity in their billing) we paid and left. My friends walked out and I went to ask her if we had somehow offended her. Bambi eyes. Blank stares. I explained how our party felt. She asked if I wanted a drink. I left. We will go back (of course) but be careful of where we are sitting. And no, we were not rowdy. We are two couples aged between 64 and 72. We like to eat and would certainly have stayed longer and spent more money but I think they didn’t want it. More

Chef T and the staff are incredible! The food was amazing! From the soup to the salad to the entree to even the sides! We ate at Sea Level 3 nights in a row had ribs twice lamb twice and fish twice! The desserts were... wonderful! Highly recommend! We will be back! Congratulations on a job well done! More

You have to order your food early in the day so plan ahead. You can’t just make a last minute reservation. The staff is amazing. Great service. And a fun environment. The food was perfect. Had the ribs after an afternoon with the pigs.

I’m surprised by the negative ratings as we loved it. The restaurant was nice and cool. While the service wasn’t outstanding, it was polite and prompt. We all enjoyed our meals - my club sandwich was one of the best I have ever had. Great... stopover on our day long boat trip. More

The food at the SCYC Restaurant is probably the best on the island. The breakfast is not fantastic, but is pretty good considering your options. The evening dinner that requires reservations, however, is great. My main complaint is that it can take a LOOOONNGG time... to get service. One day we waited 30 minutes for the bartender to get someone to come write our name down for reservations. More

Location is stunning, the port is awesome, but the restaurant as such is far from what they charge for. Expensive sub-par food, but if you don't mind paying extra for a great view and location, it just might be what you are looking for.

Heaven on earth

This was our first trip to the Bahamas. Staniel Cay Yacht Club has always been on my radar and we finally made the trip and it was perfect in every way. The flight on Makers Air was seamless and gave us our first glimpse of the almost other worldly turquoise swirl of water and sand from above. We were picked up as soon as we landed and ushered by golf cart for a 2 minute drive to SCYC. We spent the next 4 nights in utter bliss in this magical little slice of heaven. Our cottage was straight out of a fairy tale with the nurse sharks and rays swimming right past our front porch. Our days started with a full breakfast on the deck watching the boats and the birds and the sea life. We ordered lunch and dinner at breakfast and the kitchen prepares your lunch in large cooler filled with your lunch order ice, drinks, snacks ,fruit and 2 big bottles of water. Then we grab our cooler and make our way to our 17’ skiff and spend the day bopping around from pristine deserted beaches and enormous sand bars snorkeling and swimming in caves throughout the day in the crystal clear sapphire blue water. After our day in the water we would relax at the cottage then make our way to the bar have a couple drinks and wait for the dinner bell and make our... This was our first trip to the Bahamas. We have been to many places over the years but Staniel Cay Yacht Club is a very special place. The beauty of this place is not to be matched but the people that work there are the real reason this place is so special. The wonderful welcoming staff of SCYC made my husbands birthday beyond special and gave us the trip of a lifetime. More

This was our third trip to staniel cay and it never disappoints. The staff, food, views, and accommodations are amazing. It’s a charming laid back feel. Don’t go expecting a resort vibe. It’s an explorers trip but me and my kids absolutely love it. You’ll feel like family and want to keep going back.

We've coming back some 18-20 times! The full package is a unique experience , with a beautiful sea-side cottage , your skiff to visit dozen of desert islands , and included delicious meals. Unbelievable water colors and landscapes , friendly staff.

We stayed on a mooring ball so we didn’t experience the accommodations, but talked to some folks who were very pleased. We did have dinner two nights and one breakfast and all the meals were excellent. They have a dinner special - four courses for a very reasonable price - I had rack of lamb ( twice) and my friend had catch if the day and ribs the second night - all were wonderful. Soup starter,salad and dessert were included. The harbor is lovely with a great view of the sunsets. And take a trip to the blue grotto and the swimming pigs- lots of fun!

I don't really want to write this as we love to keep Staniel Cay Yacht Club a "secret!!" This beautiful resort is our favorite place ever. Our Home away from home. From the incredible staff, to the amazing boating community and the warm friendly local bohemians, everyone treats you like family. Who can resist the listerine blue waters, sugar soft sand, irresistible food and drinks that are better than any five star resort you've ever been to? Every single time we have to depart this little slice of heaven, we literally count the days until we'll return.... Staniel Cay Yacht Club holds a special piece of our hearts and we're pretty sure it's the closest thing to heaven on earth. 💞

Our first trip to SCYC, but definitely not our last. All I can say is this is a bucket list type of place. 5 stars all around, especially the staff. Renee and Felicia took care of our every need. The dining staff was exceptional as well. This is the place you go to disconnect from the rest of the world and spend your days exploring the most beautiful islands and beaches in the world. Photos do not do justice to the beauty of the water in the Exumas. Remember this is island time. Flip flops, bathing suits, shorts and tee shirts are the norm.

The Staniel Cay Yacht Club Restaurant is the perfect location if you are staying on Staniel Cay or on a boat. Reservations are needed for dinner if eating in the nicer dining area. However, we found both flexibility and savings by having dinner in the... bar dining area (which serves off the lunch menu until 9:00PM and does not require reservations). We stayed on Staniel Cay for 5 days during the Covid-19 crisis and were thankful that the Yacht Club set up a takeaway service for non-guests, as we were staying on the island with limited food buying options and cooking facilities. Every time we went... to the takeaway window, the staff were welcoming & friendly. We had a variety of breakfast, lunch, boxed lunch and casual dinner meals. Highlights were the blackened chicken, beef burger, chef salad (massive portion!) and club sandwich. They occasionally forgot an item on the boxed lunch or breakfast, so checking orders could improve, especially as they weren't that busy. More

Made (pretty much) mandatory reservations on the day-of for the early seating, and delighted to have made this decision. Seating near window was lovely, and the five of us enjoyed the attentive service and tasty food. Afterwards we had some cocktails at the bar before... taking our dinghy back to our bareboat charter where we had tied off to one of SCYC’s secure moorings ($50/night) along the channel. Well worth the stop, especially with Thunderball Grotto just a quick (5 minute) dinghy ride from this morning. More

Group of 8. There are two seatings 6:30 and 8:30 and given large boat charter crowd a reservation is essential. Also they ask u to provide your entree selections ahead of time by that morning. Fish and bbq ribs were good. The expensive rack of... lamb and Cornish game hen was way over salted and had to be forced down because we were hungry. Very disappointing. We told the staff and they said it was the prep chef’s fault and they would let them know. However no accommodation made like taking a bottle of wine off the bill. For a restaurant trying to be high-end this was vey short sighted of them. I recommend u skip the expensive ($100 pp) restaurant and make your own dinner and enjoy the incredible sunset. More

This was the only restaurant open on the island, aside from a small more local bar place. Many yachts and boats make a stop here so it can get pretty crowded. The staff was friendly and work very hard. The food was good but after... a week of eating every meal here, it would've been nice to have more choices on the menu. The blackened fish is very good and my kids enjoyed the burgers and fries. More

Our accommodations were wonderful we stayed at the yacht club in a bungalow. We were assigned a boat which allowed us the freedom and privacy of making our own agenda . Much to our surprise, the food was fantastic. The lobster salad may be the best that we've ever had, and the conch po boy was as delicious as it was unique (for those of us not from the area anyway). Service was prompt, super friendly... and welcoming and helpful. If we're ever back in the area, this will absolutely be deserving of a return visit. More

Decent spots to enjoy pub fare are few and far between. No one should be knocking the food. So, let’s talk about service. We have been to many places in the Bahamas. We have been to Staniel Cay a lot. No one is in a... rush, and neither are we. We get and enjoy the vibe. But the service from the bartender yesterday bordered on open hostility. Drop the menu, walk away. She would not look at us. So we ended up going through the other bartender to get our order taken, drink refills, etc. what that means is when he looked at our corner we asked for another round. He turned to the bartender and told her we wanted something. A minute later she appeared. She was just talking to other waitstaff at the other end of the bar. After getting the bill (they include gratuity in their billing) we paid and left. My friends walked out and I went to ask her if we had somehow offended her. Bambi eyes. Blank stares. I explained how our party felt. She asked if I wanted a drink. I left. We will go back (of course) but be careful of where we are sitting. And no, we were not rowdy. We are two couples aged between 64 and 72. We like to eat and would certainly have stayed longer and spent more money but I think they didn’t want it. More

The desserts were... wonderful! Highly recommend! We will be back! Congratulations on a job well done! More

You have to order your food early in the day so plan ahead. You can’t just make a last minute reservation. The staff is amazing. Great service. And a fun environment. The food was perfect. Had the ribs after an afternoon with the pigs.

I’m surprised by the negative ratings as we loved it. The restaurant was nice and cool. While the service wasn’t outstanding, it was polite and prompt. We all enjoyed our meals - my club sandwich was one of the best I have ever had. Great... stopover on our day long boat trip. More

The food at the SCYC Restaurant is probably the best on the island. The breakfast is not fantastic, but is pretty good considering your options. The evening dinner that requires reservations, however, is great. My main complaint is that it can take a LOOOONNGG time... to get service. One day we waited 30 minutes for the bartender to get someone to come write our name down for reservations. More

Location is stunning, the port is awesome, but the restaurant as such is far from what they charge for. Expensive sub-par food, but if you don't mind paying extra for a great view and location, it just might be what you are looking for.

The Staniel Cay Yacht Club Restaurant is the perfect location if you are staying on Staniel Cay or on a boat. Reservations are needed for dinner if eating in the nicer dining area. However, we found both flexibility and savings by having dinner in the... bar dining area (which serves off the lunch menu until 9:00PM and does not require reservations). Portions were substantial and the food was fresh and delicious. More

We stayed on Staniel Cay for 5 days during the Covid-19 crisis and were thankful that the Yacht Club set up a takeaway service for non-guests, as we were staying on the island with limited food buying options and cooking facilities. Every time we went... to the takeaway window, the staff were welcoming & friendly. We had a variety of breakfast, lunch, boxed lunch and casual dinner meals. Highlights were the blackened chicken, beef burger, chef salad (massive portion!) and club sandwich. They occasionally forgot an item on the boxed lunch or breakfast, so checking orders could improve, especially as they weren't that busy. More

Made (pretty much) mandatory reservations on the day-of for the early seating, and delighted to have made this decision. Seating near window was lovely, and the five of us enjoyed the attentive service and tasty food. Afterwards we had some cocktails at the bar before... taking our dinghy back to our bareboat charter where we had tied off to one of SCYC’s secure moorings ($50/night) along the channel. Well worth the stop, especially with Thunderball Grotto just a quick (5 minute) dinghy ride from this morning. More

Group of 8. There are two seatings 6:30 and 8:30 and given large boat charter crowd a reservation is essential. Also they ask u to provide your entree selections ahead of time by that morning. Fish and bbq ribs were good. The expensive rack of... lamb and Cornish game hen was way over salted and had to be forced down because we were hungry. Very disappointing. We told the staff and they said it was the prep chef’s fault and they would let them know. However no accommodation made like taking a bottle of wine off the bill. For a restaurant trying to be high-end this was vey short sighted of them. I recommend u skip the expensive ($100 pp) restaurant and make your own dinner and enjoy the incredible sunset. More

This was the only restaurant open on the island, aside from a small more local bar place. Many yachts and boats make a stop here so it can get pretty crowded. The staff was friendly and work very hard. The food was good but after... a week of eating every meal here, it would've been nice to have more choices on the menu. The blackened fish is very good and my kids enjoyed the burgers and fries. More

Our accommodations were wonderful we stayed at the yacht club in a bungalow. We were assigned a boat which allowed us the freedom and privacy of making our own agenda .
