GRACE Yacht – Incredible $140M Superyacht
GRACE yacht, formerly known as Kibo, is a 266-foot superyacht built back in 2014 by Abeking & Rassmussen . Her annual running cost is approximately US $10-14 million.
Grace yacht is currently one of the 58 motor yachts to be included in the 80-90 meter-sized yachts. She now ranks 126th in the world as one of the largest yachts ever created.
GRACE yacht interior
Designed by Terence Disdale , an award-winning designer responsible for creating some of the most renowned superyachts in the world.
Terence Disdale has had no formal training in yacht design or engineering, but despite this, he is still one of the most sought-after designers in the world.
Along with the GRACE yacht, he also has several yachts that he designed.
One of these is the Al Salamah, the 280 million dollar superyacht owned by once Saudi Arabian Crown Prince, Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Pelorus superyacht, and the Tatoosh superyacht, a 303-foot superyacht owned by the American businessman, Paul Allen.
Onboard the GRACE yacht is an elevator, a beach club, a grand piano, underwater lights, and even a swimming platform.
Adding to this, she also has zero-speed stabilizers to keep guests and crew alike safe and stable when going out to the rough seas.
She also has full air-conditioning to keep guests cool in the hot summer. Speaking of guests, the GRACE yacht can comfortably accommodate lots of people at a time.
She can easily host 12 guests at a time by utilizing her six suite rooms and one VIP cabin, with a cabin configuration of 1 Master and four doubles.
Along with this, she can also hold up to 23 crew members to attend to the guest’s needs.
Specifications
She boasts an incredible 81.00 meters or 265.75 ft length, making her the 126th biggest superyacht globally. Adding to this, she also has a beam of 14.00 meters or 45.93 ft and a draught of 3.50 meters or 11.5 ft.
GRACE yacht was engineered using a steel hull with an aluminum superstructure.
She currently weighs around 2,306 tons, and powering this behemoth are twin 2,000hp Caterpillar 3516-B engines partnered with her 170,000-liter fuel tank.
The GRACE yacht can comfortably cover a distance of over 4,500 nautical miles at cruising speeds of 14 knots and a maximum speed of 16.5 knots.
Along with this, she can carry upwards of 35,000 liters of water, so docking constantly to refill water is not a problem in this superyacht.
Her exterior was designed by the same company that crafted her interior, Terence Disdale, who has already developed 40 yachts and is responsible for the interior designs of 76 vessels.

One of the world's most breathtaking super-yachts is in Toronto right now
Latest Videos
Nothing says extreme wealth like owning a yacht, but have you ever seen a super-yacht?
There's a boat of ridiculous proportions currently docked in the Toronto harbour right now—possibly the first gargantuan luxury yacht at Queens Quay, ever.
The super-yacht Grace is currently docked at Queens Quay. Photo via Boat International .
Spanning 81 metres long, Grace , as it's called, has been making its rounds around the Great Lakes.
Custom-built by the German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen in 2014, this monstrous boat was worth a whopping $190 million in 2018.

It has two diesel engines, and according to the builders, it goes as fast as 16.5 knots at top speed, which is close to 30 km/hour.
The boat can carry up to 10 guests ansd 17 crew members. Photo via Boat International .
While yachts in general are pretty huge, a superyacht (also referred to as a mega yacht) constitutes anything that measures more than 24 metres long, and can carry a crew.

Grace can fit as many as 10 guests and 17 crew members, but you likely won't be able to see inside it, unless you befriend the billionaire that owns it.

Due to the international and fluid nature of the yachting business and the fact there is no global central industry listing service to which all charter yachts subscribe it is impossible to ascertain a truly up-to-date view of the market. We are a news and information service and not always informed when yachts leave the charter market, or when they are recently sold and renamed it is not clear if they are still for charter. Whilst we use our best endeavors to maintain accurate information, the existence of a listing on this website should in no way supersede official documentation supplied by representatives of a yacht.

Became known cause of emergency on Board of mega yacht Grace
Failure to comply with basic safety requirements aboard the 81-meter yacht by Grace (ex. Kibo), built by the shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen, led to the injuries that caused the death of one of the crew members. This conclusion came during the investigation of the incident. The results reported to the Maritime authority of the Cayman Islands.
It turned out that the deceased crew member was not a life vest, as required by the rules. Also had been attached to the static structural element of the ship “line of life” insurance while working at height.
Perhaps to dot the i much earlier would have helped the record with one of the 14 surveillance cameras hanging on the Board, but just as the tragedy in their field of view and were not included.
Recall that the incident occurred on may 3, 2015. Jacob Nicol (Jacob Nicol), nacida chrome of the yacht during its stay in the port of Palma de Mallorca , hit his head on a heavy hook (according to various estimates, his weight ranged from 5.5 to 20 kg) and fell into the water. As a result of a skull fracture.
The poor fellow, who worked on the position of the assistant third engineer of the vessel was removed from the water by the diver. It was reported that he had found him lying “on the sea bottom, face down”. Alas, by the time help arrived, Jacob was under water for more than 13 minutes. According to doctors, oxygen deprivation led to tragic consequences — the death of brain cells.
The misfortune incident caused a wide public resonance. At the initiative of the colleagues Jacob was the start of a crowdfunding campaign in hopes to collect 7,000 pounds to the family of the victim could buy a special device that tracks eye movement and thereby help a paralyzed patient to communicate with the world without using a clicker. Unfortunately, the young man died a little more than two years after the incident, on 7 June 2017, as a result of infection of the chest caused by his complete immobility.
It is still unknown whether compensated the family of the deceased, and if there were, then to what extent.
The most insulting that the guidance marafeta not part of the immediate duties of Jacob. It specializes in maintenance of engines.

Designed by the legendary naval architect Philippe Briand’s firm Vitruvius Yachts and built by the Italian shipyard Perini Navi under its Picchiotti brand, Grace E has hit the waves and is currently available for charter. The third yacht from Vitruvius—whose previous launches, Exuma and Galileo G , were both named to previous Robb Report Best of the Best lists— Grace E is also the company’s largest to date, measuring 240 feet in length with a displacement tonnage of 1,740. Briand created the yacht’s hull with efficiency in mind, maximizing waterline length and minimizing drag. The vessel can cruise at between 10 and 15 knots for as far as 7,500 nautical miles without requiring a refuel.

The famed French designer Rémi Tessier conceived Grace E ’s contemporary and relaxed interiors, which emphasize the use of light-colored wood and leather finishes, as well as onyx, ebony, and stainless steel. The nearly 1,000-square-foot owner’s suite is located on the main deck and features sandblasted, bleached sycamore paneling and wenge wood floors. Six additional cabins are spread across the main and lower decks, allowing the yacht to accommodate as many as 14 guests. On the upper deck is a saloon that features a sushi bar topped with Carrara marble, a pair of drop-down TVs, and a U-shaped settee. Further forward is a beauty parlor where guests can get manicures, pedicures, and facials. A large sliding glass door can be opened to link the upper saloon with the outside lounging area. One level up is the roughly 2,500-square-foot wellness deck, which includes a massage room with a wet and dry sauna, a gym, a hydrotherapy room with a cold dip bath and an additional sauna, and a hot tub located aft. The yacht’s spacious tender garage is well equipped, with four tenders, four personal watercraft, six kayaks, two paddleboards, two Seabobs, and diving equipment.
Grace E is currently available for charter through Burgess for a weekly base rate that ranges from $595,000 to $640,000. The yacht is cruising the Caribbean for the winter season and will head to Northern Europe for summer. ( burgessyachts.com )

Mega yacht graces Funchal
Mega yacht “grace” visits funchal.
The Diario reports that the 81m mega yacht Grace docked at the south jetty at 6:00 this morning, highlighting the scarcity of any vessel visiting the harbour in the past 10 months.
“Grace” came from Antigua and is on its way to Morocco, stopping only to pick up provisions (it is not refueling to keep the stay to a minimum), leaving this afternoon.
According to Wikipedia the yacht was originally named “Kibo”, when built in 2014 by the Abeking & Rasmussen shipyard in Germany. She was owned by Russian billionaire Alexander Mamut , but was sold in 2018 to the British millionaire John Reece of the chemicals conglomerate Ineos , and renamed “Grace”. She has an overall length of 81.00 m (265.75 ft) and a beam of 14.00 m (45.93 ft).

A “Buy me a Beer” link has been added to the sidebar on the right of the blog. Any contributions are welcome, as the overheads are now such that the website is nowhere near covering its costs with all the additional expense involved after the recent attacks!

The 5 Best Superyacht Elevator Designs in the World
Among many mega yachts, there’s a curious juxtaposition between the sleek exterior styling and traditional interior decor. Their ultra-modern outsides just don’t harmonize with classically ornate styled insides. From the custom designed to the super futuristic, there are some exceptions and we’re going to explore the best yacht designs in the world and the futuristic elevators that make them stand out.
1. THE METIS
First up is the 63-metre Metis. The sleek steel and glass elevator is located on the bridge deck and is encircled in a warm wood and leather spiral staircase that connects the Owners’ Cabins, a nanny’s cabin and the children’s cabins with the surrounding floors. Designed by industry heavyweights Bannenberg & Rowell , The Metis superyacht is truly the best in class.
2. The Grace E
Second up is the Grace E mega yacht built by the Italian shipyard Perini Navi. The Grace E interior was entrusted to the French interior designer and architect Rémi Tessier whos use of polished chrome finishes, soft wood touches softens up the otherwise modern spaces. Most notably gold fabric lines the interior of the glass-enclosed elevator shaft and rotating elevator doors resulting in a one of a kind effect. The design garnered Grace E the Baccarat Trophy for Best Interior Design Award at the Monaco Yacht Show.
Third on our list is Benetti’s 61m James-Bond-inspired superyacht. Equipped with a helicopter landing pad, on-deck Jacuzzi and state-of-the-art superyacht lift surrounded by art-deco finishes. This yachts sparkling glass-encased elevator is complete with a wrap-around staircase designed by Evan K. Marshall that serve all three decks. The elevator foyer is is enhanced only by the beautiful marble flooring and artwork in her lobby.
4. The Kismet
Another of the world's finest superyacht elevators can be found on board the 95 metre Lürssen superyacht Kismet. The elevator is accessed via a lobby clad in rich brown leather wall coverings and bright brass accents. This extravagant sets the tone for the rest of the yacht and her dramatic Reymond Langton interiors.
5. The Kibo
Number five on our list is the Kibo. Grace' s exterior and interior were designed by Terence Disdale. The main deck saloon leads to a central atrium with custom elevator and surrounding stairs that access all decks. The hull is built of steel and the superstructure is made of aluminium, with teak laid decks. Inside suede channel panelling softly wraps the walls while heavy dark brown highlights balance the natural beach tones agains the polished chrome and metal highlights.
Whether heading above to the deck or down below to sleep, yacht elevators improve accessibility, aide flow between the different areas of the boat and provide a strong focal point for interior design and circulation. Cruising the Moskva River: A short guide to boat trips in Russia’s capital
There’s hardly a better way to absorb Moscow’s atmosphere than on a ship sailing up and down the Moskva River. While complicated ticketing, loud music and chilling winds might dampen the anticipated fun, this checklist will help you to enjoy the scenic views and not fall into common tourist traps.
How to find the right boat?
There are plenty of boats and selecting the right one might be challenging. The size of the boat should be your main criteria.
Plenty of small boats cruise the Moskva River, and the most vivid one is this yellow Lay’s-branded boat. Everyone who has ever visited Moscow probably has seen it.
This option might leave a passenger disembarking partially deaf as the merciless Russian pop music blasts onboard. A free spirit, however, will find partying on such a vessel to be an unforgettable and authentic experience that’s almost a metaphor for life in modern Russia: too loud, and sometimes too welcoming. Tickets start at $13 (800 rubles) per person.
Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such option offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).
If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.
Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.
How to buy tickets?
Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.
“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!” wrote (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.
Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.
Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.
Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.
Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as this offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.
This website (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other website sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.
Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.
“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.
There are two main boarding piers in the city center: Hotel Ukraine and Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.
Where to sit onboard?
Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.
The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.
Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.
There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.
