Benefits of a One-Way Charter

On a Charter Yacht Vacation the itinerary is set to your preference, so if you want to cruise, hit the beach, explore the shore-side towns, fish, hike, or tuck the yacht into a sheltered cove and enjoy the gorgeous views; you can do all this and more (or less) right from your yacht. One-way Charter itineraries are a great way to maximize your charter experience, and thoroughly explore the charter destinations . There are so many destinations that are ideal for a one-way charter, including the US Virgin Islands , British Virgin Islands , Leeward Islands or Windward Islands , French Riviera , Croatia , French Polynesia , and more!

one way yacht charter

A one-way yacht charter itinerary, sometimes called an open-jaw, or open-end itinerary, enables you to embark on your yacht charter at one destination and disembark at another. In contrast, standard yacht charter itineraries typically require you to embark and disembark at the same port of call. A one-way itinerary means you can explore more of the cruising area, without having to back track. It's especially beneficial in destinations where there is a prevailing wind and sea in one direction, allowing you to literally "go with the flow", in more sense than one. It's also ideal in areas where there is not a circular bunch of islands or one large island, and rather just a coastline or a long chain of islands, such as French Rivera, Italian Coast, and Croatia.

A One-way charter itinerary allows you to discover a new piece of paradise each day! Contact us for more details!

One way charters

Bareboats from the larger yacht suppliers are available for one way charters, enabling you to leave the yacht at a different base from where you started. It is also possible to do one way Flotilla holidays and Cabin Charters. This saves you sailing back along the coast you have already visited, in areas where circular routes are harder to invent.

Smaller yacht operators are generally less amenable to one way charters. Although they can readily arrange for the yacht to be returned to its home port, this takes time and can mean the yacht is then unavailable for charter the following week. So if you want to do a one way with a small operator, you may be asked to vacate the yacht a bit early to allow time for its return.

For bareboaters, there is usually a charge for a one way, typically a couple of hundred pounds though it varies with increasing distance between start and finish points.  However, if you pick your time or use a good agent (like me), you can sometimes avoid this charge if you’re flexible in your choice of yacht and/or destination:

If your one way is really a delivery, you may have to get a move on

If your one way is really a delivery, you may have to get a move on

  • At the beginning and end of the season many companies move yachts between their main winter base and their outlying summer bases.  Given the choice between paying for a delivery skipper and fuel, or selling the trip as a charter, you may be a good solution.  You’ll still have to pay for the charter but I have known discounts to be offered in addition to waiving of the one way fee.The down side is that, especially at the beginning of the season, the time available for the move can be so short you don’t always have much time to stop anywhere en route! As the first charter of the season, you may experience more gremlins with the yacht than normal, as things settle down after winter maintenance.
  • During the season, yachts sometimes need moving (maybe to reverse an earlier one way charter). A good agent with access to the booking plans can sometimes anticipate moves that will be needed and persuade the yacht supplier not to charge the one way supplement.

Before you rush in to a one way charter do remember there can be one complication. Charter flights are often sold into and back from the same airport. So you may have  long land transfer at the start or end of the holiday to fit in with your flights. It is getting easier to buy one ways on charter flights but there is often a cost penalty associated with this. Note also that I’ve never known a one way charter that crosses an international boundary, so don’t get too ambitious!

With Flotillas and Cabin Charters, there is no extra charge for a one way trip where these are available. You may still have a longish transfer at one or other end of the holiday though.

Anyway, if you’re interested in a one way charter, let me know and I’ll see what I can find.

One Way Charter – Pros and Cons

The usual meaning of one way charter is check-in and embarkation at one base and leaving the vessel at another base. This way one can sail without going back , or without completing a circle, which is considered a standard charter deals. Some one way charter fans claim that larger area could be experienced if sailed one way but I do not agree completely – there are pros and cons regarding one way charter.

One way charter would be perfect for those who do not depend on their car when coming to the base; and continue their journey after disembarking in another place. In terms of route planning, one way charter sounds fine in the areas with constant prevailing winds. For example, you do not have to worry about the route if you choose sailing downwind the whole route , without going back to the original base against the wind.

Still, there are some facts that you have to be aware when considering one way charter . First of all, you might be obliged to leave the yacht one day earlier so she can be transferred to the original base and ready for the next charter week. This way you might feel like losing one day of sailing. That option is also linked with extra charge for transfer . That charge includes costs of fuel and a skipper who has to bring the yacht back home.

Furthermore, check–out procedure gets a bit more complicated since it is not done at the original base. Problems appear in case that some yacht equipment, gear or inventory is not in perfect condition at the check–out. Have in mind that your insurance deposit (cash or pre-authorized credit card slip) sits at the office in the original base. Such disadvantages could be overcome if your charter agency has yachts in several bases so one way charter is done between their two bases.

The best possible solution for your one way charter request would be if your booking manager organized a one way charter for you and the next one way the following week in the opposite direction from yours. This is the point where I would like to emphasize the benefits of early communication with your favorite yacht charter agency.

I wish you a calm sea, a fine wind and a strong mast!

Can I sail one-way?

Some people like to know where they’re coming back to at the end of the week, but others prefer the romance of a one-way charter – so here’s our guide to one-way charters and how they work!

Article Image

Sailing in a circular route is an ideal way to spend the week. You know where you’ve come from, and where you’re headed, and can accurately gauge your sailing time to suit you. If you’re new to a sailing area, there’s also almost always enough places to moor up the night that you won’t need to go to the same place twice.

Somewhat understandably, to some people a circular route lacks purpose, and they want to sail from A to B because they see sailing one-way as more of a real voyage, and seems more exciting. They might also like the romance of sailing one-way, or occasionally they have somewhere to be, and want to arrive in style!

Arranging a one-way charter

We can arrange a one-way charter on any boat, to any destination. There are two different types of one-way charter:

Delivering the boat

Delivering the boat

These are pretty rare, but they do crop up from time to time: essentially, you’re delivering the boat for the yacht charter company and doing them a favour, so there’s no additional fees to be paid, and you’ll be able to sail from 5pm on the first Saturday to 9am on the second Saturday (as you would a normal one-week charter going to and from the same base).

[Ask our team to search for one-way charters if you know what dates, destinations you would like, but you will likely not have much choice on the boats available]

Arranging your own one-way charter

Dubrovnik

  • A one way fee - the yacht charter company will have to pay someone to travel down to the destination by land to meet you, and then to skipper the boat back to the home base after you disembark – probably on the motor, so they will be burning up fuel all the way. The additional one-way fees often be over €500+ (see a few sample rates below)
  • Leaving the boat early – in addition to the extra one-way fee, there’s also a likelihood that you’ll have to disembark the boat early. This isn’t the yacht charter company trying to make fleece you, it’s just that they need the boat to be back in the home base and ready for the next set of holiday-makers, who will be excited and eager to get on board by 5pm on the Saturday. A boat can only go so fast, even on a motor, so you might have to sacrifice a day or so of sailing if you want to charter one-way.

To arrange this sort of charter, then there's no need to wait - you can go ahead and book a boat as normal (e.g. from Split to Split) (or reserve it for €20) and then let us know you want to transform it into a one-way charter - our team are happy to help advise you through the process.

Typical one-way charter fees in Greece and Croatia

We’ve listed ball-park figures for the likely costs for chartering some traditional one-way routes:

between
between

  But is it worth it?

Everyone has their own value of money, and likewise, you’ll know if you can bear to lose a day of sailing. If you’re really keen to see another place, then do a quick check as to how long it will take to get there by car – sailing between Split and Dubrovnik may take a week, but you can get there in 3 hours by land, so it might be easier, cheaper and more time-efficient to sail a circular route and then hop into a bus/taxi/transfer to drive down to Dubrovnik instead.

Ask our team about one way charters, and we'll see what we can do

One Way Yacht Charter Caribbean this Winter

Why we love going one way.

We love one way yacht charter.  Why? Unless there is a perfect circular route in your favourite cruising are, there is often some compromises made to get the yacht back to port. Sometimes it’s a long sail, sometimes it a repeat night in the same port (well at least one for sure!).

An Example One Way Yacht Charter Caribbean

Imagine leaving the chic shores of Dutch and French St Martin and heading down wind to the ramshackle corrugated tin bars of the British Virgin Islands. Whilst you are there, we recommend you visit The Soggy Dollar Bar  spending wet money after the swim ashore and tasting the PainKiller cocktail invented there. All this on a stunning Helia 44 from the 3 – 15 January 2015. A trip like this would normally cost $15,301 plus one way fees; under this offer you could be sailing for less $10,000, a saving of 35%.

Save Up to 60%

Normally, one way charter cost more – considerable more. We have teamed up with one of our favourite providers to bring you up to 34 selected routes with extensive discounts:

The Allure and Advantages of One-Way Boat Charters

Embarking on a maritime adventure has always held a special allure, invoking thoughts of boundless horizons and uncharted waters. In the realm of maritime travel, the concept of one-way boat charters has emerged as a novel way to explore the seas with unprecedented freedom and convenience. This article delves into the world of one-way boat charters, highlighting their appeal and the benefits they offer to modern-day explorers.

Unlike traditional round-trip journeys, where travelers are bound by predetermined itineraries, one-way charters open up a world of possibilities. They involve the rental of a private boat or yacht for a single journey, without the constraint of returning to the original departure point. This concept has revolutionized the way people experience maritime travel, offering flexibility, customization, and a sense of liberation.

The Allure of One-Way Boat Charters:

Freedom to Explore: One of the most captivating aspects of one-way boat charters is the freedom they offer. Explorers can craft their own routes, navigate through diverse waterways, and discover hidden coves or pristine islands that may be inaccessible through traditional transportation. This self-directed journey invites adventurers to set their own pace and immerse themselves in the raw beauty of the open water.

Tailored Experiences: With one-way boat charters, the experience is entirely tailored to the preferences of the travelers. Whether it's a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a solo expedition, the charter allows for a personalized voyage. From choosing the vessel's amenities to planning stops along the route, every aspect of the journey can be curated to create lasting memories.

Time Efficiency: Traditional boat trips often require returning to the point of origin, limiting the range of exploration. One-way charters eliminate this constraint, allowing travelers to cover longer distances within a defined timeframe. This efficiency not only optimizes travel time but also enables the exploration of distant or secluded destinations that might have been previously overlooked.

The Practical Advantages:

Logistics: One-way charters minimize the logistical complexities associated with planning a round-trip journey. Many times it's just easier to start in one point and finish on another.

Cost-Effectiveness: Depending on the specific route and availability, one-way charters can often be more cost-effective than traditional round-trip options. This happens particularly when the charter company needs boats delivered from one port to another.

Unique Itineraries: Maritime enthusiasts often seek to explore diverse routes, which may not be feasible with conventional travel methods. One-way charters empower travelers to embark on unique itineraries, enabling them to traverse regions that align with their interests and curiosities.

Examples of one-way charter options we recently got from our partner charter companies*:

Lefkas, Greece to Ibiza, Spain catamaran Excess 11- 2 weeks 3900€

Ibiza, Balearic Islands, Spain to the Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain - 3 weeks, catamarans 4590€-5525€, monohulls 4845€-5270€

Lavrion to Mykonos, Greece on a skippered Lagoon 500 - 1 week 7200€

Cienfuegos, Cuba to Palma de Mallorca, Spain, 2006 Voyage 440 Catamaran - 6000€

* Offers vary from time to time, usually have specific dates (as the charter company has to move vessels from one location to another), and are based on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Guide for One Way Charter Services

One-way charter is ideal for those people who like to explore more places and seek more adventure on their sailing vacation. People take up a one-way charter so they can explore new areas and regions of sailing and take their time while doing so. For the people who don’t know much about one-way charter, it is basically taking over a yacht in one charter base and then returning it at another.

In other words, you can sail without coming back to where you have originally started. This is perfect for the people who do not like to stay at one place for an extended period of time. The Split region has plenty of marinas where you could start or end your journey. They are located in Split, Kaštela, Trogir, Seget and the town called Marina. They are all in the immediate vicinity of the Split Airport.

Split to Dubrovnik is considered as one of the most famous one-way routes that are enjoyed by many of our charter guests. If you have already explored this route, there are plenty of others to choose from; for example, Dubrovnik to Split region, Zadar region to Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik to Zadar region, Split to Biograd na Moru and many more.

If you plan to sail only one way , you are bound to discover more islands, beaches, and bays. The reason is very simple, you’ll have more time to casually sail and explore new places on your route.

You should keep in mind that one way charters can carry fees for one way routes and may require for you to check-out a day early depending on the size of the boat and the distance between the starting and the finishing base.

Tips for one-way yacht charter

You can make your sailing experience much more enjoyable if you follow some tips from experienced sailors. These tips will help you in having a great yachting experience. The following listed below are some tips that you can consider:

One Way Charter Croatia Yachting

  • Ask for the itinerary In one-way charter you will be covering a wider sailing area and the number of places that you can visit can be overwhelming. If you are not completely familiar with the sailing area, the best thing to do is to ask for a suggested itinerary that can serve as a guideline for your sailing vacation. The local knowledge of Croatia Yachting as a charter agency or s a charter company can really be helpful as we know every town and bay that we would suggest. You can visit the hippest places and enjoy nightlife or you find the most peaceful bays and towns to just relax. If you’re taking up crewed charter or skippered charter, you will be able to arrange the best itinerary according to your plans and weather conditions with them. So, a skippered or crewed and one-way charter are a great combination for all those who want to kick back and just relax while sailing from one place to another.
  • Choose the boat with the help of your charter agent Not all boats are available for one-way charter so you should send an enquiry for arranging a one way charter. Be as specific as you can in terms of the type of boat that you want to charter and your agent will find the perfect match for you.
  • Keep yourself updated with the weather When you are sailing alone on a one-way route, it is essential that you keep updated with the weather conditions. With one-way charter you are not able to stay close to your base through the entire vacation as you have probably arranged to fly back home from the charter base where you were supposed to end your sailing journey. You might need to adjust your itinerary as it might take longer to get from point A to point B than originally planned. For example, you might have strong head winds on your route that would slow you down or you might not be able to sail out of the port or anchorage due to bad weather conditions. There are regular weather reports for sailors in English on the radio and on VHF to keep you up to date with the weather conditions. If it comes to it, in most cases you could also return the boat to your starting base and arrange a transfer by road to the airport planned for your departure.
  • Talk to your skipper As previously said, one-way and skippered or crewed charter are the best possible combination for sailors who want to make the most out of their vacation. You have the leisure of casually sailing from one place to another while discovering the best of the Adriatic. When you are on a one-way charter , it is recommended that you share your itinerary plans and wishes with your skipper throughout your journey. The knowledge of your skipper will be extremely helpful in getting suggestions about the hot spots, undiscovered places, and all the areas that you must visit. They will also be able to call ahead and book a mooring spot or a table for you at the local restaurant as they have vast knowledge of the destination where you will be heading. Do not hesitate to ask your skipper if you have any doubts or questions related to the one-way journey. Trust us, you’ll discover places that you could not even imagine.
  • Take all the necessary items with you This note goes for all types of charter, but especially for if you chose an one way yacht charter . That is because you will probably spend more time at sea and hard to reach places such as bays and coves, so you should have all the essential items onboard. Stock up on food and beverages and plan ahead in your itinerary where you will make your stops for buying new supplies. Also do not forget about any medications that you might require and plenty of sunscreen.
  • Use the provided maps and pilots All charter boats in Croatia are equipped with maps and Adriatic pilots that will help you navigate through more than 1,000 islands and help you find safe anchorages and ports to spend your nights. This goes for any type of bareboat charter but since you will be covering a larger sailing area, this point is even more important. This will help you navigate to your sailing destination and set a realistic itinerary.
  • Check all the charges Before you arrange your one way charter , it is suggested that you discuss all the necessary charges such as skipper costs and fuel costs for returning the boat to its original base and berth fees at your departure. Talk with your agent and make sure you’ve listed all of your preferences, so you don’t have to worry about anything, especially last minute. Generally, the reputable yachting companies, such as Croatia Yachting, do not come up with last minute charges, but you should definitely double check everything before your charter, just to make sure there were no mistakes in communication. Also, keep in mind the method of payment that you need to opt for. These are little things that can leave you in a bad mood if they turn up to be different than you’ve expected.

Some Final Words

Well, sailing in a one way yacht charter can be breeze if you keep in mind the points that are mentioned above. You can turn to Croatia Yachting for all types of charter services, including one-way charter. We take our mission of providing Yachting at its best very seriously, so your sailing holiday will be in safe hands with us.

There are many advantages for One Way Yacht Charter in Croatia . One way charter offers makes ability to take the boat in charter in one place on Adriatic coats and return it at another marina, in another city. Precedence of one way charter is better planning of route, since you do not need to go back to the main marina, where you take a boat. So, you can see and explore a lot more of the Adriatic coast, cities and islands, in the duration of yacht charter. One-way charter is suitable for guests who come to Croatia by plane or ferry, because they can choose different ports of arrival and departure. If you arrive by car, you should leave the car in main marina, but the yacht will end up in another marina.

In that case you will need land transfer to the home port. There is a land transfer service that we can provide, optional rent-a-car, bus lines, etc.

One-way routes for yacht charter Croatia

One way routes are generally recommended and available on the following routes: Dubrovnik – Split one way or Split-Dubrovnik one way. It is possible to start in Marina Kastela or Trogir for one way trip to Dubrovnik.

Furthermore, possible one way charter routes are Dubrovnik – Biograd one way, Split – Biograd one way, Biograd – Pula one way, Pula – Rovinj one way charter or vice versa. Many of these one way routes are possible in standard charter of 7 days, while for the routes with long distances, you will need two or more weeks of charter.

Prices for one way charter in Croatia

One way charter will be offered on guest request. Usually one way charter is extra charged for about 300 EUR for sailboats, a little more for motor boats (depending on fuel consumption) and about 1.000.-EUR for gullets. Price of the one way service contains skipper who will return the boat to the main marina and fuel for boat transfer. The price of one way charters often do not include berth at the marina for check out. There are not all boats available for one way charter in Croatia. Only certain charter companies with several bases in the Adriatic, provide this service.

At your explicit request, we can offer variety of boats for one way charter, but in that case charter is a shorter for one day, that boat can be returned to the home base until next charter.

Special offers for one way charter

Special offers for one way charter refer to those vessels that must be in another charter base, in certain period. Then the cost of charter price is much smaller, one way service is free of charge but one way route is obligatory to the charterer. You can save up to 20% of charter price in special one way offers on Adriatic.

SkipperCity is the leading source of discounted one way yacht charters

The idea behind the site is simple, charter operators in all the major cruising grounds have many boats that need relocating throughout the charter season. They have the option of relocating the yachts themselves, or discounting their usual prices to make the trip attractive to sailors who would like to take some time and explore the cruising ground along the way.

Below is a list of the one way charters currently available. This list can be ranked by dates, price, destination or yacht size. If you fancy a one way trip and have fixed dates why not try the one way search and see which trips are available for your dates? If there don’t seem to be any one way trips that fit please do contact us and we will be happy to see what else we can find to suit.

One-way charter

One-way charter is an alternative to a regular charter, which means that you start your sailing adventure in one charter base and finish it in another one. This kind of cruising arrangement is ideal if you long to discover more parts of Croatia in a single sailing trip and you don’t feel like staying anywhere for too long. It enables you to plan your sailing route more freely, to adapt your sailing experience to your wishes and preferences.

One-way charter is also suitable if you travel to Croatia by plane or ferry since it leaves you different arrival / departure ports at your disposal, however, if you leave your car in the main marina, a transfer can be easily arranged to solve the problem.

One of the most popular one-way routes is certainly Split – Dubrovnik or vice-versa, but there are other one-way routes that are available as well, such as Trogir – Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik – Trogir, Zadar – Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik – Zadar and many others.

By choosing some of these one-way routes, you are free to explore many fascinating places along the way, such as splendid Elafiti islands, a mesmerizing national park Mljet or other lovely islands of central Dalmatia like Hvar, Brac or Vis. However, please bear in mind that one-way charters usually come with a one-way fee, which varies depending on the size of the vessel and the distance between the starting and finishing points.

It is also good to remember that not all sailing boats are available for one-way charters, only the ones selected by the charter company itself. The months preceding the beginning of the sailing season is the best time of the year to start planning your one-way sailing holiday because it gives you a much wider choice of the yachts and destinations available for one-way charters. The type of yacht you choose for chartering is also important considering that some boat types such as luxury yachts and gulets come with a professional crew, which is in charge of navigation and of returning the ship back to its original port.

This certainly has its benefits since you don’t have to worry about returning the boat back to the main marina and your focus is solely on the unforgettable sailing experience ahead of you. On the other hand, sailing boats and catamarans may or may not come with a skipper, it is entirely up to you.

Some yachts, which are generally not intended for a one-way charter, may be offered to the guests upon their request. However, if you opt for this type of one-way charter, it is good to keep in mind that in some cases your charter will be somewhat shorter than the regular one. This means that you will have to disembark on Friday morning so that the skipper has enough time to return the ship back to its starting point.

Naturally, there are cases when one-way charter is possible within a standard charter period.

One way charters are appealing to many charter guests simply because they enable them to have a more profound experience of their cruising destination, but many clients decide to have a 14-days-charter instead, which gives them even more time to explore the irresistible Adriatic coast, and truly savor Croatia as a jewel of the Mediterranean sailing world.

What is a one-way yacht charter?

A one-way yacht charter means picking up the yacht at one port and leaving it at another base at the end of the rental period. This means you don't have to come back where you originally started. Combining flights from different airports enables you to have a fantastic sailing journey.

A one-way yacht charter lets you explore more destinations and islands within a week of sailing in Croatia !

One-way Sailing Itinerary

Our guests' most famous one-way sailing itinerary is from Split to Dubrovnik or vice versa. There are several marinas close to Split and its International Airport, where you can hop on a one-way trip. You can charter a yacht from Split marinas, Marina Kaštela, Trogir, Seget, and a little further marinas, Marina Frapa in Rogoznica and Marina Kremik in Primošten.

Besides  Split and Dubrovnik , the one-way charter is also possible from  Zadar, Biograd, Šibenik, and Pula . However, all charter companies do not offer one-way service; only selected boats are available. Although for some boats, one way is available Saturday – Saturday, you will have to get back at the check-out port on Friday earlier for most of them—usually, the clients who sail one-way charter a skippered or crewed yacht . Skippered or crewed charter allows you to relax and enjoy the trip. Of course, you can take a bareboat yacht on a one-way sailing trip.

All types of bareboat, skippered, and crewed vessels, including sailboats, catamarans, gulets, and luxury motor yachts, are available for one-way charter. However, not all yachts are available for this type of charter. Therefore, we advise you to contact us a couple of months before the trip when more options are available.

Itinerary suggestions:   Split to Dubrovnik or vice versa. We will be happy to provide sailing itinerary suggestions on request.

What is a One-way fee?

ONE WAY charter is not a standard service. Therefore, the One-way fee is an extra cost that depends on the boat size and type. The approximate one-way fee is 500 EUR – 1000 EUR per booking. This fee covers the costs of boat delivery back to its homeport, where you originally started.

Please note that clients cover the mooring fees; the one-way fee does not cover this cost. Therefore, before you decide to book a one-way charter, make sure to check all the details and possible charges.

When checking out, the clients must return the boat with a full fuel tank. The one-way fee does not cover the fuel consumption during the charter week.

If you are interested in this type of charter in Croatia, please get in touch with us! We will be happy to provide available one-way charter options in Croatia!

CRUISING - ONE WAY CHARTER

one way yacht charter

Greece is an appealing country with numerous splendid islands. A week of sailing holidays will be sufficient for a small part of this beautiful country.

In order to make the most of your holidays, we suggest to choose one way charter only to see more in a short time period. This is all possible due to short distances between islands and ports.

You might not have such a great yacht offer for one way charter as you would have if you turned back to the same base. However, this is certainly worth trying. Visit as many islands and places as you can in a week or two perhaps. Try and make your itinerary more interesting and take the advantage of having the opportunity to leave your boat in another base.

A one way charter requires an additional fee, but it is definitely worth your money. It is always better to start from larger bases, e.g. from Athens towards Syros or Paros, from Kos to Rhodes, from Corfu to Lefkas, or perhaps from Lavrion port to explore the beauty of the Cyclades.

While a yacht may be the first thing that pops to mind when you think of the ultra-wealthy, chartering one might not be as expensive as you think. When you're splitting the costs between several family members or friends you are paying for transportation and stay and it can make sense financially.

You can also  keep money in your wallet  by selecting an older vessel or taking charge of sailing yourself (hiring a crew always costs extra).

Editor's note: prices are subject to change and may vary depending on the time of the year.

We had an amazing time aboard The Prosperity with Captain Mike giving us a customized tour of the Ft. Lauderdale waterways. We were celebrating my mother's birthday and brought our own selection of snacks and drinks - everyone on board from 8 years old to the vibrant 60s had a blast. It was a bit cool for a late December sailing so we opted to stay on board and enjoy the cool air with the warm sun but Captain Mike offered the option to jump in the water at some perfect spots! Captain Mike knows these waterways so well he was able to adjust the ride based on weather and vibe of his passengers! We can't wait to take an another trip with Captain Mike on the Prosperity!

Wonderful 2 hrs pontoon ride with family! Captain Mike was punctual, friendly, and ensured we chose the route and stops. I would choose him again for our next boat ride!

Water Limo is unlike any other boat tour service available in southern Florida. Captain Mike was able to accommodate us last minute for a birthday Sunset Cruise and it absolutely made my day! He will tailor the boat ride to exactly the experience you want and then some! We took the inter coastal waters south bound. Along the way he informed us about native wildlife and fun facts about the different areas. At one point we spotted a dolphin swimming right past us! Being on the water at night was so peaceful. The sunset and city lights were stunning. Since it was my birthday, we were able to get dropped off right at a restaurant on the water for my birthday dinner. It couldn't have been more perfect. The boat itself feels like you are in the comfort of your living room but on the water. Comfy leather seats, mood lighting, shade when it's sunny/raining and speakers to play any music you want. I would definitely do this again. You can bring any food or drinks you want as well. Totally an unforgettable experience!

Thank you for sharing your incredible experience with Water Limo in southern Florida! Captain Mike's exceptional service and his ability to tailor the Sunset Cruise to your preferences truly stand out. It's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the journey along the intercoastal waters, complete with insights about native wildlife and the area's highlights. The dolphin sighting and the serene ambiance of the water at night must have been truly enchanting. The fact that your birthday was made even more special by being dropped off at a waterfront restaurant adds a lovely touch. The boat's comfort, including leather seats, mood lighting, and music options, certainly contributed to the overall experience. We're thrilled you had an unforgettable time and look forward to hosting you again in the future!

Life is better on the water. Call Captain Mike for an adventure you'll never forget. There's nothing better than relaxing on the water on a nice warm South Florida evening.

The boat is luxurious, spacious, comfortable and new! Captain Mike is great and is fun and adaptable! He can go slow if you want to just take in the sights or fast so you can bar hop with the time you book. He will go out any time day or night with appropriate notice of course. He can take you to Miami from Dania Beach or can just stay more local to Ft. Lauderdale or Hollywood. The first 2 hours we went from Dania Beach pier to the Port Everglades where it keets the ocean. He can stop at the infamous Sandbar. The second 2 hours ( sunset) we went from Dania Beach pier to the Halkandale Beach bridge passing Margaritaville and it' s neighboring restaurants/ bars. Easy to board even for someone with slight disability because it is very stable and even with dock. Wear waterproof shoes because occasiional wake will wash over floorboards. It has a roof over half of it if you are concerned about sun exposure. He has a cooler on board for BYOB . He does usually have some basic beverages available also. And some basic snacks. There is no bathroom so go potty before you get onboard or it's the ocean baby LOL! It can fit 6 to 12 people. He said it is really cool to see a meteor shower. I'm in if I can interest enough others. Consider it for a birthday or anniversary or other special occasion. He or his wife would probably willing to decorate it too. Just do it!!

Thank you for your fantastic review of your experience on Captain Mike's boat, The Prosperity! It sounds like you had an incredible time and provided some valuable information for future passengers. Here's a reply that highlights the key points you mentioned: Response to Review: Wow, what an amazing experience you had on Captain Mike's boat! Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with everyone. Your detailed review is sure to help others make the most of their trips. It's great to know that the boat is luxurious, spacious, and comfortable, providing an enjoyable ride. Captain Mike's flexibility in adjusting the speed to your preferences is a big plus, whether you want to leisurely take in the sights or hop between bars. And the fact that he's available day or night with just a little advance notice is a big bonus! When in doubt just call 754-610-8634 The scenic routes you described, from Dania Beach to Port Everglades and Hallandale Beach Blvd., sound spectacular. Plus, stopping at the infamous Sandbar adds an extra element of fun to the journey. Thanks for the tip about wearing waterproof shoes – it's a practical heads-up for fellow travelers. The availability of a cooler for BYOB and basic beverages and snacks is a thoughtful touch. And, of course, the mention of the lack of a bathroom is crucial for anyone planning a trip – "go potty before you get onboard or it's the ocean, baby!" had us chuckling. A porta Potty is available upon request. With the boat accommodating up to 6 people, it's a perfect option for special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. The idea of decorating it for such events is a fantastic suggestion, and it's good to know Captain Mike and his wife might be open to that. Thanks again for sharing your memorable experience. It's clear that you had a blast, and you've certainly made us eager to "just do it!" for our next adventure on the water with Captain Mike. Happy sailing!
