    I have a 1976 Aquarius sailboat and I am not quite sure what I need to do to find the right length, abrassiveness, type of rope to buy. Please help if you know. Thanks . ... For jib sheets, get a length equal to about one and a half boat lengths (about 38 ft for a 25 foot boat). A "fuzzy" braid type line like Regatta works pretty good.
