Watermouth Harbour is situated on the North Devon coast just to the east of Ilfracombe and less than 30 minutes’ drive north of Barnstaple. The Harbour is considered to be one of the most stunning locations on this coastline and has kept its status due to its seaside heritage, spectacular views and local amenities including the wonderful South West Coastal Path which is particularly popular with families. The harbour provides a most convenient base for exploring the unspoilt North Devon coastline with its wide range of anchorages and harbours including Lynmouth, Clovelly, Ilfracombe and Lundy Island. The Bristol Channel is also open for the more adventurous with landing places such as the Isles of Scilly, Southern Ireland and many destinations along the Welsh coast.

CONVIENIENT ACCESS TO THE BRISTOL CHANNEL
This beautiful natural harbour covers almost 15 acres and provides a safe and secure anchorage with moorings for 120 boats accommodating sizes from 13 foot. It is a drying harbour so is not suitable for fin keel boats. All moorings are fore-and-aft and anchored to the sea bottom by a combination of chains and concrete blocks. Annual moorings are available with short or weekly stays for visitors. Please see our tariff page and registration form on the following pages Ashore, there are WC and shower facilities, a chandlery, a thriving yacht club and also a temporary sailing club. The very popular Storm in a Tea Cup Cafe operates from a converted rescue boat and serves breakfast, lunch and delicious cream teas throughout the day. For opening hours please refer to their Facebook page. The Harbour is administered by its own harbour master, Rob Lake, who is on hand for useful advise. Please note CCTV is in operation at the harbour.

Watermouth is a delightful hamlet halfway between the village of Combe Martin , known as the Gateway to Exmoor, and Ilfracombe . The South West Coast Path traverses the cliffs passing the charming Watermouth Harbour and Widmouth Head, a favourite spot, with strategically placed bench, for viewing porpoises, dolphins & seals when the tide is right.
Immediately opposite the harbour is Watermouth Castle . This is a delightful Victorian castle which has been transformed into a family theme park with something for all ages to enjoy. The Castle itself is a Victorian museum of musical instruments and toys and the gardens are an absolute delight, never appearing crowded and always well tended. In addition the grounds house the water fountain theatre, restaurants and gift shops and many charming rides.
Walkers extol the virtues of the spectacular scenery in this area and there is good quality accommodation available from winning campsites, picturesque lodges and cottages in pretty rural settings and on farms and there are moorings available at Watermouth Yacht Club.

Now You Know: Yacht Club renovation gets underway
The demolition phase of Marco Island Yacht Club’s renovation project kicked off in January with a ceremonial sledgehammer wallop in the lobby.
MIYC Board of Directors Chairman Dave Everitt, Building and Grounds Committee Chair Geoff Walker along with General Manager Carrie Brooks each took a whack with a sledgehammer at the back lobby wall, which will be eliminated as part of the full gut rehab of MIYC's 26 year old clubhouse.
“That felt good!” Everitt laughed after his turn to wallop the wall. “It’s taken awhile getting to this point, but we are thrilled to be officially underway in the transformation of our clubhouse!”
The project will enhance the club’s facilities, creating an updated space for dining, socializing and fostering camaraderie among members and guests.
“Besides updating our look, this renovation will completely modernize the kitchens, add an upstairs bar, establish an inviting, new Members Lounge, provide improved office facilities for our staff, increase dining capacity and improve space efficiency and traffic flow overall” Everitt said.
During the renovation period, member activities are continuing full throttle, with events on boats and dockside, events at outside locations, and events using a tent and food truck set up in the MIYC parking lot.
“The clubhouse may be closed, but we are definitely open for business,” said Brooks, “We still have the same great food as well as a great view of the harbor from our tent, and we’re encouraging members to come and enjoy dining here for lunch or dinner.”
The transformed clubhouse is targeted to reopen next fall. The architect is MHK Architecture of Naples and the general contractor is D Garret Construction also of Naples. In addition, the Club has hired Freestyle Interiors to advise on interior design.

Owned by Chuck Bond. I'd definitely say its one of the best places to live in Moscow. It's just off campus, affordably priced, and 'round the clock maintenance and speedy response to any issues. Extremely well maintained. Laundry facility on site and great neighbors! Nothing better than living in the Yacht Club for 3.5 years!! Chuck's amazing!

Yacht club in north devon for enthusiasts of sail, motor boats and fishing.
The club is run completely by volunteers for members who enjoy their leisure time on the sea. The membership includes owners of fishing boats, motor boats and yachts. Watermouth is a naturally drying harbour that uses Fore and Aft method of moorings. In addition to the residents moorings there are visitor moorings and awaiting tide moorings.

The membership includes for partner/spouse and children under 16. Boating activity is not a requirement. Prices are specified on the application forms below. An electronic key fob that will give access to the toilets, showers and kitchen areas of the clubhouse. The fob also gives access to the meters for the external electricity sockets.
Watermouth Yacht Club, your club, continues to struggle through these tough economic times and with a generally aging membership - obviously I include myself - it is a concern for the future of the club.
