Welcome to Town River Yacht Club
from the Town river officers
Welcome to Town River Yacht Club! Town River was established in 1911 and has been promoting family, friendship and boating since its inception. The members at Town River work together to maintain & update the Club’s facilities and grounds. Owned and run by the membership, Town River is built on pride and a love of boating and the ocean.
The Town River Yacht Club boasts three hundred fifty members, a two hundred plus boat marina, junior floats for over twenty five sailboats, and land facilities for the winter storage of all these boats-a far cry from our humble beginnings one hundred years ago.
Under the leadership of Mr. Eugene R. Stone, a former mayor of Quincy, twenty local boat owners decided to…

This location was perfect, I didn't expect the venue to be updated and modern. The bartenders were freaking amazing. The drinks were perfect and affordable. Highly recommended... Beautiful outside deck and patio on the second floor overlooking the ocean.

In God's own country - Hough's Neck. One hidden gem for anyone who doesn't know this place which ends into one of the Boston Harbor Islands - The Nut Island. QYC is synonymous with the Necka's for a few things... Kids playing around after school before they head home, the chowdah fest that happens once in the middle of the summah, and Steve's freshly caught lobster's right off his boat every Friday through Saturday (between 3pm and 6pm - while supplies last) in season. Also, sometimes on Sundays between 12 - 3pm. The banners go up accordingly on Sea St near the intersection of Babcock where the stone of "welcome to Hough's Neck" is. Of course during the warmer months, most of the locals manage to find spots with chairs, umbrellas and coolers to enjoy the blissful, salty, sea breeze. Those who grew up here and are seeing their kids grow up here now, enjoy the occasional dip in the cool Atlantic right off of the pier. My draw to QYC is during the summer weekends when I try to feast off of some of the Best lobsters I have had in my life yet - at dirt cheap price too. They sell off real fast because everyone is eating lobsters in the Neck in season - because these crustaceans off Steve's boat are out of this world. If you are ever in my NECK of the woods, do stop by and see if you are lucky to grab some! Enjoy...

QYC has great special events throughout the year. Potluck Pats parties, Halloween, Mother's and Father's Day breakfasts, cookouts, etc. They are usually looking for new members. Just drop by or call and ask to talk to someone about joining. Cash bar. Gorgeous views. Wide outside deck. Beautifully redone hardwood floors inside.

About Our Club
Our club is an active, informal, and family oriented Yacht Club located on Wollaston Beach in Quincy, MA. We have been in operation since 1890 and we have a long history of racing, sailing and powerboating. After over 120 years we are proud to say that the ideas that originally were were written into our constitution still hold true today.
From our original 1890 constitution:
" Since it is our desire to perpetuate an organization to foster and promote yachting in Quincy Bay and surrounding waters, to provide a common meeting place for yachtsmen and their friends, where good fellowship may prevail and harmony reign supreme and to encourage the youth of our organization to emulate the above principles, this organization is therefore founded, with the trust that it will be a benefit to the community. "
Function Hall
Upper level function hall with panoramic views
Our members enjoy the relaxed atmosphere at the club and appreciate the social interaction as much as the boating. Many members are involved in the day-to-day functioning of the club and it would be safe to say that we are very much a self-help organization, relying on members to do many of the day-to day operations of the club. This is particular true for our active event calendar including Friday Night Dinners for our members and guests,
Although we have an active racing schedule, the club welcomes boaters of skill levels including beginners.
Our clubhouse overlooks beautiful Quincy Bay and the Boston skyline. The deck is a popular gathering place for our members and guests, watching one-design races or just chatting and enjoying a beautiful sunsets behind the Boston Skyline.
Our clubhouse is not just the center of all boating activity but serves as base for all our endeavors. There is a nice lounge with a bar where many of our members can be found debating the daily races or the virtues of different bottom paints. A large screen TV is a popular feature and not just on game day. A separate Junior room is available for our Junior members to prepare for sailing or just hang out together.
Upstairs is wonderful function room for 125 people with an amazing deck that overlooks Quincy Bay, the islands and the city skyline. This facility is used for club events is available for rent for weddings and other
