VIBRANT CURIOSITY yacht, The $150 million superyacht.

She is an 85m yacht that features interior and exterior design by Italian design house Nuvolari Lenard.

She was built by shipbuilders Oceanco and delivered from their Netherlands-based shipyard in 2009. The yacht is a striking and award-winning vessel that exceeds expectations repeatedly.

Italian interior designer  Nuvolari Lenard  penned the interior of the impressive VIBRANT CURIOSITY.

The interior is best described as a perfect mixture of luxury and sobriety. The yacht features accommodation for 18 guests in 9 cabins.

The cabins are configured in 1 master, 1 VIP, and seven double rooms with luxurious fittings. The master suite has an office and a private exterior deck with a whirlpool.

The VIBRANT CURIOSITY has accommodation for 26 expert crew on board.

An elevator makes getting to the different levels of the yacht easy for guests. The award-winning yacht features a sundeck filled with places to lie in the sun or enjoy the on-deck pool.

A special feature of the interior of VIBRANT CURIOSITY is the lighting that creates a luxury ambiance throughout the ship. On the top deck, there is a helipad with a helicopter.

No interior photos have been released of the VIBRANT CURIOSITY, but Nuvolari Lenard is best known for providing luxury Italian-inspired styling.

Nuvolari Lenard also designed the exterior of the VIBRANT CURIOSITY. The yacht was built by the esteemed shipbuilders  Oceanco  and delivered from the Netherlands-based shipyard in 2009.

She is built with a teak deck, a steel hull, and an aluminum superstructure. Her exterior displays a unique band-like design along the superstructure, and she has a flared bow. VIBRANT CURIOSITY was last refitted in 2015.

Specifications

VIBRANT CURIOSITY has an 85.47m length and a beam of 14.2m. She has a significantly deeper draft at 3m. The yacht has a displacement of 2822 gross tons powered by twin MTU engines.

She has a cruising speed of 16 knots and a maximum speed of 20 knots, with a range of 5500 nautical miles. With an annual running cost of $10 – $15 million, she has a Lloyd’s Classification.

VIBRANT CURIOSITY won a multitude of awards throughout 2010, including the Asia Boating Award.

Vibrant Curiosity, the 85m super yacht owned by German entrepreneur Reinhold Wurth, has been spotted in Auckland waters this weekend.

The vessel, which has a maximum speed of 18.5 knots, attracted attention yesterday at the entrance to Bon Accord Harbour at Kawau Island, where a helicopter was perched on the top deck.

A shipping tracking site shows the vessel is now at Port Fitzroy, Great Barrier Island after cruising there via Waiheke Island.

The Super Yacht Times reported Vibrant Curiosity was first spotted in Auckland waters at the end of last month.

Reported to cost $111 million, the luxury vessel sleeps 14 guests in seven cabins while boasting space for 26 crew members.

The master room features its own office and a private exterior deck complete with a spa.

There's a swimming pool and beach chairs on the main deck and a lift operates in the interior.

Built in 2009, the yacht gets its name from Wurth company's motto in the 2006/2007 business year.

Reinhold Wurth is the 141st wealthiest person in the World according to Forbes , with a net worth of US$11 billion. He entered his father's whole screw business, Wurth Company, at age 14.

After the death of his father, Wurth steered the company towards manufacturing automobile parts and has served as provider to Forumla One, Nascar, V8 Supercars, and DTM competitors.

Todd Wurth, M.D., is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in treatment of the  shoulder, elbow ,  hand and wrist . Dr. Wurth has a particular expertise in shoulder arthroplasty, including Exactech CT guided navigation, rotator cuff repair, carpal tunnel release and A1 pulley release. He has been recognized by the Nashville Business Journal multiple times as one of “Nashville’s Best Hand Surgeons” and commonly treats conditions like trigger finger, shoulder, hand and wrist arthritis, rotator cuff tears, fractures and carpal tunnel. He earned his medical degree in 1998 from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Indiana University Medical Center. Dr. Wurth completed fellowship training at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh in the areas of hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder and microvascular surgery. History of the Würth Group

Every big story has its beginning. That of the Würth Group began in 1945 in Künzelsau, a small German town in the region of Hohenlohe. Over many decades, the screw wholesaler has developed into the world’s largest company for assembly and fastening technology and into a patron of art and culture.

Adolf Würth, who has already worked in the industry for 20 years, founds a wholesale company for screws and nuts in Künzelsau. The company is entered in the commercial register on 16 July 1945. Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG is the parent company and the largest individual company of the Würth Group. This date marks the beginning of the global enterprise.

Adolf Würth, founder of the business, passes away at the age of 45. His 19-year-old son Reinhold takes over the company. The annual sales volume amounted to around EUR 80,000 at that time.

Reinhold Würth sets up Würth Nederland B.V, the first company outside of Germany. Companies in Switzerland and Austria are added in the same year.

With the acquisition of the painting “Cloud Reflection in the Marsh” by Emil Nolde, the foundation stone is laid for the Würth Collection. Today, it comprises more than 18,500 works of art. The collection focuses on sculptures, paintings, and graphics from the late 19th century to the present, and more recently on the art of the Early Modern Age.

With the acquisition of a company in Japan and the establishment of its own company in Malaysia, Würth is now also represented in Asia, in addition to America, Africa, Europe, and Oceania.

A new administration building is inaugurated in Künzelsau-Gaisbach on 15 May 1992. The iconic piece of architecture also houses a museum that is open to the public.

On 1 January 1994, Prof. Dr. h. c. mult. Reinhold Würth resigns from operative management and takes over the Chair of the Advisory Board of the Würth Group.

Due to his outstanding entrepreneurial achievements Prof. Dr. h. c. mult. Reinhold Würth is appointed as a professor for entrepreneurship at the University of Karlsruhe (TH), where he teaches until the end of the summer semester of 2003.

The Würth Group closes an outstanding business year with new records. The company surpasses the five-billion-euro sales mark, thus fulfilling Prof. Reinhold Würth’s “Vision 2000,” which he had formulated in 1987, at a time when Group sales still amounted to EUR 700 million.

Robert Friedmann, who started his career at Würth in 1992, is appointed Chairman of the Central Management Board of the Würth Group.

On 1 March 2006, Bettina Würth takes over the Chair of the Advisory Board of the Würth Group from her father. Professor Dr. h. c. mult. Reinhold Würth acts as Honorary Chairman of the Advisory Board and remains Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Würth Group. On 4 May 2006, Alma Würth, co-founder of Adolf Würth GmbH Co. KG, passes away at the age of 92. Together with her husband Adolf Würth, she was the driving force behind the establishment of the parent company and largest individual company of the Würth Group.

At the beginning of the 2008/2009 school year, Freie Schule Anne-Sophie, which is sponsored by the Würth Foundation, celebrates the opening of its new school buildings in Künzelsau.

Two special milestones in the Würth Group:

Prof. Dr. h. c. mult. Reinhold Würth celebrates his 75th birthday in April and Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG, the parent company and largest individual company of the Würth Group, celebrates its 65th anniversary.

The Würth Group receives a new logo.

The Würth Foundation, which promotes projects in the fields of art and culture, research and science, and training and education, celebrates its 25th anniversary.

Würth Haus is opened in Rorschach, Switzerland. In addition to six Würth companies, it houses the exhibition rooms of Forum Würth Rorschach, a pick-up shop, and conference rooms.

With the 80th birthday of Reinhold Würth and the 70th company anniversary of Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG, the Würth Group celebrates two milestones. In line with the company's tradition of celebrating such occasions, the birthday and anniversary culminate in a great number of events. The public is invited to an open-house day on 21 June.

The Würth Group continues to strengthen its e-business activities by launching its very own B2B online platform in Germany. Using the Wucato platform, customers are provided access to the Group-wide product range consisting of more than 500,000 products from Würth Group suppliers for the first time.

The inauguration of the Carmen Würth Forum culture and convention center in Künzelsau-Gaisbach is celebrated with a great ceremony on 18 July. Prof. Dr. h. c. mult. Reinhold Würth, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Würth Group, says in his speech: “I wanted to raise a monument in my wife’s honor. Carmen and I have been married for 61 years, and I am most grateful for every day spent with her. It is a great way to keep her memory alive well beyond our days.”

Würth plans to manufacture cordless power tools itself in the future by entering into a joint venture with Techtronic Industries Co. Ltd. The joint venture is called WÜRTH MASTER POWER TOOLS LTD.

Prof. Dr. h. c. mult. Reinhold Würth, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Würth Group, looks back on an outstanding career: He turned a two-man business into a globally operating group for assembly and fastening materials. On 1 October 2019, the entrepreneur celebrates his 70th work anniversary. Many friends and guests from the worlds of politics, business, and culture arrive at Carmen Würth Forum for the anniversary celebrations.

In June 2020, Museum Würth 2 for contemporary and modern art opens. The annex to the Carmen Würth Forum convention center in Künzelsau, Baden-Württemberg, designed by David Chipperfield Architects, is completed.

Honoring their entrepreneurial achievements and their commitment to society and culture, the German business newspaper Handelsblatt admits Prof. Dr. h. c. mult. Reinhold Würth, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Würth Group, and Bettina Würth, Chairwoman of the Advisory Board of the Würth Group, to the Hall of Fame of Family Businesses, along with another four German companies.

20 years Kunsthalle Würth in Schwäbisch Hall. On 18 May 2001, the private museum Kunsthalle Würth in Schwäbisch Hall is officially opened by then-Chancellor of Germany Gerhard Schröder. Since then, the museum has developed into a great attraction for art lovers of all ages due to its generous opening hours seven days a week and free admission.

Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG opens one of the world’s most sophisticated test centers for fastening technology, including an anchor laboratory. At the Reinhold Würth Innovation Center CURIO, product designers from the Würth Group work alongside scientists and students from technical universities on product and system innovations.
