Mark Cameron Yachts are delighted to have been appointed to act in the sale of the Fisher 37 ‘MALLARD II’.
The third model of the Fisher range to be built the Fisher 37 was the companies flagship model and continued in production with Northshore until the demise of Fisher production. Unusually for Fisher models there was never a MkII version with the owners customising the internal layout from the standard at the time of build. Retaining the iconic styling the Fisher 37 boast all the desirable features of her smaller sister ships including the high ballast ratio, walkaround decks, ketch rig and deep well protected cockpit. The class has proven to be a highly capable offshore cruiser with examples to be found cruising in all corners of the globe.
MALLARD is an early example of the Fisher 37 class; she has benefitted from significant re-fitting in previous ownerships. Professionally maintained by the current owner she has been wintered ashore annually since 2010; fully winterised. The early layout below decks offers a spacious double forward cabin with 3 occasional berths in the saloon. Thoughtfully re-fitted in the wheelhouse here seating has been elevated to provide a view out of the windows when seated with a removable table creating a second saloon. Offered for sale ready to launch and commission in the spring her inventory highlights include:
- Two pack-painted topsides.
- CopperBot antifouling below the waterline, professionally applied in 2019.
- 80hp Leyland Thornycroft marine diesel engine with Borg Warner Velvet Drive gearbox.

The Fisher Owners Association welcomes all of our members and sailing friends from around the world to this website
The FOA exists to give you help on the many aspects of Fisher ownership from buying (and even selling your Fisher), to understanding maintenance and boat handling issues unique to Fishers, and the opportunity to enjoy a varied events calendar.
The forum, archive and supplier discount scheme can help you make big savings, not only on your annual maintenance budget but also those bigger projects thereby justifying the cost of your annual membership fee (£30 full membership £20 Associate Membership) many times over. So please use this site and benefit from the knowledge it provides.
The FOA really is both a great sailing and social entity for those who enjoy the company of people who truly love and take great pride in owning the legendary classical Fisher Motor Sailer.
If you are not already a member then please consider joining and get the best from your Fisher and your time afloat.
Our sailing year starts in late spring with a programme of rallies, which are well supported and take us to such places as Brittany, Channel Islands and around the coastline of the UK. Members organise themselves into small groups for the purposes of sailing in company, in addition to cross channel crossings, which gives great comfort to either the new or less experienced members.
Some members come for part of the rally or indeed join during the rally as their time permits. At the heart of these rallies and cruises in company are the social aspects, including dinners in the local pubs and restaurants which are much enjoyed by all. Calls at ports are often arranged around these great social and very memorable moments.
The FOA also has onshore social events and dinners where all members can meet and exchange their sailing news, recent sailing conquests, and of course those candid photographs taken while afloat tend to come out as well - just when you thought you had got away with it!

The FOA Local Regional Organisation
Our regional Commodores facilitate the creation of the local programme of rallies and events which are suggested by the members and are therefore well supported. They can take us not only to local harbours but also across the Channel, North or Celtic Sea or maybe just a bit further around the UK coast than you would normally venture on your own. The choice is yours, it is your association.
Sailing in company can give great comfort to either the new or less experienced members especially e.g. if it is your first Channel, North or Celtic Sea crossing.
The FOA also has local onshore social events where members can meet and exchange their sailing news, recent sailing conquests, and of course those candid photographs - just when you thought you had got away with it!
