Arguably one of the most famous and instantly recognisable structures in the entire world. When not cruising on the river, the TLC fleet is moored alongside Tower Bridge at our Butler's Wharf Pier. The Dixie Queen is the only vessel in our fleet which requires Tower Bridge to lift to let her pass, as pictured.

Canary Wharf

A beautiful and modern part of London, Canary Wharf sits on the West India Docks on the Isle of Dogs. Formerly one of the busiest docks in the world, the area is now a major business district and includes the iconic One Canada Square tower, a symbol of the regeneration of Docklands. It is impossible to miss this unmistakable skyline as you cruise round the riverbend.

Originally built in 1869 to carry tea back from China, the Cutty Sark visited nearly every major port in the world and gained fame for her record-breaking passages. Now in permanent dry dock on the edge of the river, she is the magnificent centrepiece of Greenwich Town Centre. Most of our private yachts are designed to legally carry a maximum of 12 people. This is because a yacht which carries more than 12 people it is considered a 'Passenger ship' and must comply with extensive SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) regulations.

Can you have more than 12 guests on a yacht?

At Boataffair, we do not typically rent out boats for more than 12 people. This is due to Boataffair’s focus on private, premier yachting.

We don't operate as a mass-market service; instead, we reserve our boats for boutique experiences for families, groups of friends, and couples. This is why most of our yachts are limited to 12 people or less.

Additionally, many of our motor yachts are designed to legally carry no more than 12 people, and often overnight stays allow for a maximum of 8-10 people.

You’ll want to keep in mind how many people can fit on a yacht before you start building your guest list. But don't worry, you can have wonderful birthday parties on our yachts with less than 12 people!

Catering is provided on Seafin to ensure you have everything you need from the moment you step on board.  Typically you can expect a welcome Pimms on arrival, lunch is a choice of a hot and/or cold buffet with afternoon tea on your return to Hamble. Alternatively, lunch can be enjoyed ashore at a prestigious yacht club or waterside restaurant.
