AVANTAGE yacht is an 87m(285,4 ft) superyacht built by Lürssen Yachts in their German shipyard, and delivered in 2020.

The interior design, executed by Bannenberg & Rowell Design, has accommodation for 14 guests and 19 crew members.

This superyacht, specifically designed for socializing and family enjoyment, boasts a variety of entertainment features. She ranks 119 of yachts worldwide.

AVANTAGE yacht interior

The interior design is masterminded by Bannenberg & Rowell Design, accommodating 14 guests and a crew of 18.

She was built by Lürssen in their German shipyard. She features five exterior decks, a foredeck helipad, and a sundeck jacuzzi.

The beach club offers an effortless indoor-outdoor entertainment experience that is a stylish addition to the yacht.

The main deck has space for an alfresco lounge and dining area in the sunshine, with a half deck that is shaded by the upper deck overhang.

Her interior design is timeless, with beautiful furnishing and seating that make guests want to sink in and relax.

The yacht interior exudes an elegant yet comfortable atmosphere. This design makes her an ideal yacht for socializing and entertaining with friends and family.

She is also equipped with high-tech audio-visual equipment.

The exterior design of the AVANTAGE yacht is designed by Bannenberg & Rowell Design. She has a white hull of steel, aluminum superstructure, and teak decks. Her exterior exudes a modern, stylish, and sleek appearance.

There are open deck spaces, long and elegant lines, and a large foredeck with the yachts emblem.

She is equipped with a Compass Tenders Limo Tender, amongst other luxury water toys that make her a fun and entertaining yachting experience. She has a yearly running cost of $15-$20 million.

The AVANTAGE yacht has a gross tonnage of 2950 GT, which is 473.14 GT above average for her class. She is powered by her two MTU diesel engines.

She is in the top 5% of LOA in the world with a length of 87m(285.4ft), a draft of 4m(13.1ft), and a beam is 13.8m(45.3ft), AVANTAGE has a max speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots.

She has a 4.500 nautical mile range. She is built to Lloyds register 100 A1 classification society rules and is equipped with an Underway and an at anchor stabilization system.

This reduces the rolling motion effect at seas, resulting in a smoother and more enjoyable cruising experience underway.

The windy Russian autumn weather might be a little bit tricky for sailing, but it doesn’t stop brave yachtsmen from all over the world from flocking to Russian capital in the beginning of September when the Moscow Yacht Show commences. The main Russian Yacht exhibition gathers professional and amateur yacht lovers together under the wing of The Royal Yacht Club.

This year it took place for a fourth time already. The exhibition is considered the principal event on the sporting and social calendar. The Moscow Yacht Show 2010 united in one area three of the largest Russian yachts distributors: Ultramarine, Nordmarine and Premium Yachts.

A wide range of yachts were on display for a week. An exhibition showcased yachts both from Russian manufacturers and world famous brands: Azimut, Princess, Ferretti, Pershing, Riviera, Doral, Linssen, etc.

It was a real feast for seafarers as visitors of the show had a unique chance not only to take a look at the newest superyachts before they hit the market, but also to evaluate their driving advantages during the test drive. The show provided an excellent opportunity for yacht enthusiasts to choose and buy a new boat for the next season.

The event started with the grandiose gala evening. It included grand dinner, the concert and professional awards ceremony for achievements in Russian yachting industry. The guests also enjoyed the annual regatta.

Special guest Paolo Vitelli, Azimut Benetti Group president, opened the evening.

Next year organizers assured guests they would bring more yachts, the scale of which will even make oligarch Roman Abramovich envious. Sounds very promising indeed.

Four Seasons' exclusive new yachts will take you to ritzy ports in the Caribbean and Mediterranean come 2026

Four Seasons is already famous for its over-the-top private jet itineraries that have travelers with deep pockets flying between world-famous landmarks, cosmopolitan cities and adventures in national parks, safari camps and everything in between.

Now, Four Seasons is unveiling its first set of luxury cruise itineraries on the soon-to-launch collection of Four Seasons Yachts, which were initially announced back in 2022 .

For its inaugural season (assuming the ship-building process continues without any hiccups), discerning travelers can visit the Caribbean between January and March 2026 on seven-night sailings that include tropical destinations like St. Barts, Nevis, the Grenadines, St. Lucia, Barbados, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Curacao and Aruba.

For example, the " Lesser Antilles Featuring Nevis & the Grenadines " cruise, which starts at $19,900 per suite, leaves Philipsburg, St. Maarten, and has full anchored days in destinations like Gustavia, St. Barts, and Charlestown, Nevis, alongside a full beach day and a sailing day before anchoring in Barbados.

In Europe, sailings around the Mediterranean will launch in March 2026, with stops at ports in Croatia, Gibraltar, Montenegro, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Turkey.

Starting at $28,500 per suite, the nine-night " Grand Mediterranean Featuring Saint-Tropez & Trapani " departs Malaga, Spain, and cruises the Mediterranean Sea before making stops in beautiful spots like La Joliette and St-Tropez in France, two ports in Italy (including Sicily), and Gozo and Valletta in Malta.

Or, if Greece is on the mind, the " Greek Isles featuring Santorini & Mykonos " itinerary, starting at $19,700 per suite, will take travelers from Athens to Greek stops like Santorini, Ios, Milos and Mykonos. It will also include a stop outside of Greece in Didim, Turkey.

As for the ships themselves, would-be Four Seasons cruisers should expect the best of the best, including 95 suites that range from 500 to 10,000 square feet and feature modern design, indoor and outdoor spaces, Four Seasons signature mattresses and bedding, twice-daily housekeeping, 24-hour dining, an on-call concierge, tablets that control the room, and a minimum of a 55-inch TV with streaming capabilities, among other perks.

For even more space, choose a Funnel or Loft suite. They will include multiple bedrooms, splash pools, outdoor showers and plenty of space to spread out and relax.

Throughout the ships, sailors can take advantage of 11 different restaurants and bars, a spa, a pool (that can be converted to a deck for private events) and a 1:1 guest-to-staff ratio.

September 17 was marked by meeting of the UFI Executive Committee. During the event, the Committe approved the admission of Crocus Expo IEC as a full member of UFI in categories of “Exhibition Organizers” and “Exhibition Centres. Moscow Boat Show has been granted the status of “UFI Approved Event”.

UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry is the association of trade show organizers, fairground owners, national and international associations of the exhibition industry, and its partners. As of 2012, it has 608 members in 224 cities from 86 countries covering 6 continents. The association members are responsible for the management and operation of over 4 500 profile events. The association represents more than 1 000 000 of exhibitors and more than 150 000 000 visitors.

The Crocus Expo Exhibition Centre is a listed member of the International Association of Congress Centres (AIPC), the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs, the Guild of Exhibition and Fair Operators by the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Donald Tramp fund has awarded Crocus Expo IEC Diamond Excellence Award.

Crocus Expo IEC is an ideal venue for running of large international and national exhibitions of different profile including congress events, conferences and scientific symposiums.About 50% of all exhibition events of Moscow take place in Crocus Expo and average exposition space load comprises 85%.

Six days of efforts to entice a two-year-old orca calf out of the lagoon and back to the ocean following the death of its mother last weekend have included the use of recorded killer whale calls, specialized directional guide lines and the pounding of Indigenous drum beats, but with no success. 

"This afternoon, Thursday, March 28, represents the best present opportunity for the whale calf to exit the lagoon as tides are not optimal over the next few days with the water becoming increasingly shallow," said a federal Fisheries Department statement. "Water levels are anticipated to improve after the weekend."

Rescue officials said earlier the tidal window at Little Espinosa Inlet is brief, just 30 minutes, which would allow the calf to swim out safely. 

"The department would like to reiterate that this operation is highly complex, is unfolding in challenging weather, and in difficult geographic conditions," said the statement. "A successful outcome is not guaranteed."

Ehattesaht First Nation Chief Simon John said his people, who have deep spiritual and cultural connections to killer whales, are united in their goal of having the orca calf reunited with its extended family.

"It's hard to know what people are thinking when they watch the news and see us working here," he said in a statement. "All we know is that it is very hard and really emotional. This is day six and we know that time is short and there is a lot of pressure."

Calf faces difficult odds.

The lagoon is located near the remote village of Zeballos, more than 450 kilometres northwest of Victoria.

The Ehattesaht First Nation has given the young calf a name: kwiisahi?is, meaning Brave Little Hunter.

The community was planning a ceremonial dinner Thursday evening where the calf would be formally given its name, John said.

"Our council has also reminded everyone that we are working on the water in an emotional undertaking and we really need to think about safety of everyone," he said in the statement. 

He said the community gathered for prayers and ceremonies Thursday to protect and provide guidance for its team and the young whale. 

"It is important that we do these things as they help gather the strength everyone needs and send that strength to the young whale." 

The calf faces difficult odds feeding itself and getting out of the lagoon without adult guidance, John said. 

The young orca was likely still depending on its mother for milk and food, he said. 

"We tried to gently move the young calf out of the lagoon and into Little Espinosa Inlet," said John. "Unfortunately, the sandbar at the causeway seems to remain a barrier and she is still there. The water is shallow across the bar at the entrance of the lagoon even at the moderate high tides."

The chief said the area is known as a prime seal hunting ground for killer whales, but it poses challenges, including 30-minute optimum tidal opportunities, to enter and exit the area. 

Pregnancy may have contributed to death, says DFO staffer

The calf's mother died in the lagoon while local residents rushed to help her. 

It's estimated she weighed up to 10 tonnes. A necropsy of the mother orca, a 15-year-old Bigg's killer whale, showed she was pregnant with a female fetus when she died. 

Paul Cottrell, the Fisheries Department's Pacific region marine mammal co-ordinator, said the pregnancy may have contributed to the mother's death as she could not manoeuvre off the beach.

Cottrell said it's possible the orca calf could survive up to two weeks in the lagoon without eating.

The Fisheries Department statement Thursday said "trap-and-transport is one of the considerations on the table, however, it would not be utilized until other options have been exhausted due to its complexity and potential risks to the calf and the responders."

John said the rescuers are facing the difficult choice of feeding the calf to keep it alive, but then leaving it open to becoming habituated to being fed and not leaving the lagoon.

"We are mourning the loss of the mother and we are trying to help the young one to find her family," he said. "It really is something that rings home for Native people. This loss and this struggle for the next generation."
