Below Deck Down Under is Bravo’s reality TV series following the personal and professional lives of stewardesses, deckhands and other yachties aboard a 150-foot-plus superyacht in Australia. Season 2, which was aboard the 167-foot conversion superyacht Northern Sun, saw the return of three cast members from Season 1: Captain Jason Chambers; Chief Stewardess Aesha Scott; and Deckhand Culver Bradbury. The second season also introduced six new cast members: Chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph; Second Stewardess Laura Bileskaline; Third Stewardess Margot Sisson; Bosun Luke Jones; Deckhand Harry Van Vliet; and Deckhand Adam Kodra.

As Bravo fans know, Below Deck wouldn’t be Below Deck without work drama and the occasional firing. Season 1 saw Ryan McKeown, who was let go after his poor attitude toward Captain Jason. But who gets fired on Below Deck Down Under Season 2 ? Read on for which crew members get fired on Below Deck Down Under Season 2.

Who gets fired on Below Deck Down Under Season 2?

Captain Jason - Below Deck Down Under

Who gets fired on Below Deck Down Under Season 2? Below Deck Down Under confirmed at least one crew member was fired in the Season 2 trailer, which showed Captain Jason Chambers terminating a yachtie after Chief Stew Aesha Scott called their behavior “so f—ing wrong.” “That’s enough,” Captain Jason said in the trailer before escorting the crew member off the boat.

Captain Jason teased who was fired from Below Deck Down Under Season 2 in an interview with Parade in July 2023. “I obviously give people an opportunity to grow. You’ve seen that in season one. However, we just have to just put a line in the sand,” he said. He continued, “I looked at this and just thought, ‘Well, it just has to be done now.'” Captain Jason also confirmed that he wasn’t the only crew member aboard the Northern Sun who wanted the crew member fired. “I had the backup ready. So we went for it,” he said.

Read on for a list of crew members fired from Below Deck Down Under Season 2 so far.

Adam Lukasiewicz (Deckhand)

Adam Lukasiewicz, Below Deck

Adam Lukasiewicz was fired in Below Deck Down Under Season 2, Episode 12, “The Budgy Breakfast,” after he made a crucial mistake by accidentally releasing the ship’s anchor while the boat was cruising at full speed. As a result, Captain Jason Chambers sent the deckhand packing.

“You’re definitely a good bloke, you’re definitely good in the breach, but on deck, I don’t think you have the experience for super yachts and that anchor being dropped underway is kind of where I draw the line,” Captain Jason told him in the episode. “We’re gonna let you go and we’re gonna bring in a lead deckhand. I just need someone with a lot more experience.”

Lukasiewicz said that he respected the Captain’s decision. “I apologize for even creating that for the time that I was here,” he responded. “Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity.” He later added in his confessional that it “sucks” that his time on the Northern Sun was cut short. “I was learning a lot and I was having a lot of fun… I completely messed up. You don’t have anyone to blame but yourself.”

Luke Jones (Bosun)

below deck sailing yacht season 2 fired

Bosun Luke Jones was fired in Below Deck Down Under Season 2, Episode 7, “The Turnover Day,” after he got in bed naked with Third Stewardess Margot Sisson while she was asleep and passed out drunk from a crew night out. Luke, who was drinking with Margot earlier in the night, was forced out of Margot’s room by production as he slammed the door twice on the cameramen.

Luke then locked himself in his room as Chief Stewardess Aesha Scott checked on Margot. Aesha then woke up Captain Jason Chambers and told him what happened. Jason unlocked Luke’s cabin and told him that he had to stay in a hotel for the night. The next morning, Jason fired Luke and escorted him off the boat.

Laura Bileskaline (Second Stewardess)

Laura - Below Deck Down Under

Second Stewardess Laura Bileskaline was fired in Below Deck Down Under Season 2, Episode 7, “The Turnover Day,” after her continued sexual advances toward Deckhand Adam Kodra and her insensitive comments to Third Stewardess Margot Sisson following Bosun Luke Jones’ firing. During “The Turnover Day,” Laura told Margot that she thought Luke should have received a warning and not been fired for what he did. She also told Margot that she was sad that she didn’t get to say goodbye to Luke and wished that he went to her room instead because she would’ve welcomed his behavior.

Margot told Chief Stewardess Aesha about Laura’s comments who told Captain Jason Chambers. Aesha also told Captain Jason about Laura’s inappropriateness toward Adam, whom she climbed into bed with the night prior and started massaging before she was forced out of his room by production. Captain Jason interviewed Margot and Adam separately about Laura before he decided to fire her.

Before Laura’s firing, Bravo fans speculated that Laura was fired on Below Deck Down Under   Season 2 due to her relationship with Aesha, whom she had butted heads with since the premiere episode due to Laura’s lack of time management and the long time she took to get ready for work.

Laura also confessed in Season 2, Episode 5, “Everyone Everywhere All at Once,” that she often drinks on the job. The episode showed her drinking a beer the morning after a night out, as well as finishing a glass of wine while cleaning the galley kitchen. But the most significant piece of evidence that Laura was fired on Below Deck Down Under were the promotional shots for Season 2.

While each of the nine cast members on Below Deck Down Under Season 2 — Captain Jason Chambers; Chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph; Chief Stewardess Aesha Scott; Third Stewardess Margot Sisson; Bosun Luke Jones; Deckhand Harry Van Vliet; Deckhand Adam Kodra; and Deckhand Culver Bradbury — has a promotional photo on Bravo’s website , Laura was the only one who doesn’t. Instead, Bravo’s website uses a still of Laura from her confessional interviews, which hinted to fans that she was fired or left Below Deck Down Under before the promotional photoshoot took place aboard the Northern Sun.

Laura also seems to not be on good terms with some of her Below Deck Season 2 cast mates, including Chief Stew Aesha. After Episode 5, Laura posted an Instagram photo of the Below Deck Down Under Season 2 poster but didn’t tag Aesha, Tzarina, Adam or Culver. She did, however, tag Jason, Margot, Luke and Harry. “That did happened. Not the way you see it, it was real there, though now it’s a reality TV. As long as you are entertained 🥂#realityshow #entertainment #belowdeck #belowdeckbravo #differentreality,” she captioned the post.

Below Deck Down Under airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.

10 soap stars who need to be a Real Housewives

<p>Nancy Lee Grahn, who plays Alexis Davis on General Hospital, would definitely stir the pot if she was on The Real Housewives. Anyone who follows her on social media knows she is very outspoken and not afraid of confrontation. She’d likely become the center of some kind of controversy before long because of what she might say.</p>

katherine kelly lang new grandma bold and beautiful

<p>Katherine Kelly Lang, who plays Brooke Logan on Bold & Beautiful, already owns a Beverly Hill boutique, Benheart. Seeing many of the other housewives also have their own boutiques and fashion lines, she would be a perfect fit! It would also be delicious to see how her on-screen rivalry with Shauna Fulton, played by Denise Richards, translates off-screen.</p>

Michelle Stafford

<p>Young & Restless’ Michelle Stafford has her own skincare line, Skin Nation, so we think she’d fit in perfectly with the other housewives. She’s also raising her children on her own, something she could bond with Kyle Richards, who was also raised by a single mother. Richards’ mom even became manager to two of her daughters, Kyle and Kim Richards, who became child actresses.</p>

chrishell-stause-paparazzi-walking-dog-poop

<p>Sure Chrishell Stause is already starring in Netflix’s Selling Sunset, but many of the other housewives juggle other projects. And seeing the drama she’s gone through this past year with her marriage to This is Us’ Justin Hartley falling apart, she could really let loose and get crazy as a Beverly Hills housewife. Plus she knows how to deal with snarky women already as we’ve seen on her Netflix show. </p>

<p>With Kristian Alfonso out as Hope Brady on Days of our Lives, perhaps The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills could be her next gig. Plus it would reunite her with her former co-star Lisa Rinna, who played Billie Reed and one of Hope’s biggest rivals for Bo Brady’s love and attention. Days of our Lives fans would eat up seeing how these two interact off-screen. </p>

Kelly Monaco gh sam gallery jp

<p>General Hospital’s Kelly Monaco (Sam McCall) is no stranger to reality television, having competed twice on Dancing with the Stars and appearing on the short-lived series Dirty Soap. We imagine Monaco would be a more calm and down to earth housewife, probably someone who would connect with Teddi Mellencamp. Of course when push comes to shove, we could see her turning into a real firework if need be.</p>

days of our lives camila banus bad bunny instagram

<p>Camilla Banus, who plays fashion mogul Gabi Hernandez on Days of our Lives, would be a breath of fresh air on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She’d bring some youth to the show, as well as her fiery Latina personality. Banus has been known to go off on her haters on social media, so we think she could hold her own with the ladies on the show.</p>

Victoria Rowell of Young and the Restless

<p>Former Young & Restless actress Victoria Rowell (Drucilla Winters) has long been outspoken and an advocate for more representation of people of color on daytime. She remains a fan favorite to this day, and would no doubt bring some strong opinions to the ladies of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The show just this season added its first African American housewife, Haitian born actress Garcelle Beauvais.</p>

Laura Wright from General Hospital

<p>Laura Wright, who plays Carly Corinthos on General Hospital, would fit right in on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She and her former husband owned a winery, and the women on the show definitely love their wine. She also likes to remain fit and active but also is trained in meditation, so perhaps she can help the ladies find some inner peace at tense times. Of course, playing one of the biggest hypocrites on General Hospital, she hopefully has a lot of experience spotting one in real life. </p>

Jacqueline MacInnes Wood anniversary B&B

<p>Jacqueline MacInnes Wood plays a fashion designer Steffy Forrester on Bold & Beautiful, so we think she’d fit right in with the other fashionistas on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Being the mother of a one-year-old, she’d probably bond with Teddi Mellencamp, who is pregnant with her third child, and Dorit Kemsley who also has two small children.</p>

Inside the 'Below Deck: Down Under' consent incidents that led to 2 firings and an outpouring of praise

Aesha Scott and Captain Jason Chambers on "Below Deck Down Under - Season 2" on Peacock.

Two cast members were fired from Bravo’s “Below Deck Down Under” following incidents of inappropriate behavior involving sexual consent.

Laura Bileskalne and Luke Jones were both terminated by Capt. Jason Chambers during two recent episodes of the reality series, and the show’s fans have been praising the way the captain and other staff handled both incidents.

Here’s what to know about the recent firings on “Below Deck Down Under.”

What happened during the 'Below Deck' consent scandal?

The incidents unfolded across Episodes Six and Seven of Season Two. It all began when the crew left the yacht for a night out together in Cairns, Australia.

The evening involved a lot of drinking, and third stew Margot Sisson said she had been “really drunk” at dinner.

As the crew headed back to the boat at the end of the night, bosun Luke Jones propositioned Sisson, telling her that she “should come and cuddle” with him, and inviting her to join him in the jacuzzi.

Sisson declined, and chief stew Aesha Scott helped Sisson get safely to bed.

“I am glad that you’re here,” Sisson told Scott in the episode. “I don’t want to go in the jacuzzi, I want to go to bed. All I want is water and bed, no Luke.”

Scott then left Sisson in her cabin to sleep.

After this, Jones entered Sisson’s cabin while she slept and climbed into her bed completely naked.

The show’s producers swiftly intervened, telling Jones he had to leave. "I gotta get you out of here because she wants to go to bed," a producer said, banging on Jones' back.

Jones attempted to engage Margot in conversation and ask if she "wanted to go to bed." She responded, "Yeah, sleepy time." Jones got down from the bed and said, "Can you guys f---" off? before slamming the door.

The show's producers open the door back up and say, "You can't do that." He then left, seeming to be upset. Jones told second stew Laura Bileskalne he "didn't do anything," and continued, "I was just sitting there."

Later, Sisson told Scott what had happened from her point of view.

“Did you consent to him being in here?” she asked Sisson.

“No, I was asleep,” said Sisson. “I did not invite that at all.”

"This is why I'm not comfortable leaving you here," Scott said.

Scott then woke up the yacht’s captain, Jason Chambers, to tell him what had happened. Through tears, she shared that the incident reminded her of a time she had been sexually assaulted.

“You don’t have the right to put someone unconscious into that position,” Scott said. “I have had a drunken sexual assault experience before, and I never wanted that to happen to anyone else. And she’s just such a sweet angel that the thought of anyone violating or being in her space, it just makes me feel sick.”

It was later revealed that a second incident involving inappropriate conduct happened on the boat that night, around the same time as the incident with Sisson and Jones.

Bileskalne also entered deckhand Adam Kodra’s room after he told her he didn’t want her to be there. "I told her many times I just want to be friends but she's not getting the point across," Kodra told the camera.

She climbed into his bed without his consent and attempted to give him a massage.

“You’re not sleeping in here, dude,” she said. “I’m gonna kick your a-- out.”

Producers also had Bileskalne leave Kodra's room. She kissed his back as she got out of bed.

Which 'Below Deck: Down Under' crew members were fired?

Both Jones and Bileskalne were fired. When Capt. Chambers learned that Jones had entered Sisson’s cabin without her consent, he sent him off the boat to stay in a hotel for the night. Jones was let go the following morning.

Chambers also fired Bileskalne when he learned she had entered her colleague’s cabin against his wishes.

The captain admonished Bileskalne for her reaction to the incident involving Jones and Sisson. Bileskalne had defended Jones’ behavior, telling Sisson that Jones was “only joking” and should not have been fired.

“There’s a big disconnect now, and it’s not where I want part of my team,” Chambers told Bileskalne. “You’ve actually disrespected what I set out to do.”

Chambers also had a talk with the entire crew about boundaries following the incidents.

“Our cabin is our safety zone,” Chambers said. “That door is our boundary. That door is not to be opened unless it’s consensual. To walk into someone else’s room without consent, indecent, is my limit.”

What was the response on social media to the moment?

There has been an outpouring of support for the way Chambers, Scott and the show’s producers handled both incidents.

“Relieved and grateful that both Chief Stew Aesha Scott and Captain Jason Chambers acted prudently, swiftly and humanely on Below Deck Down Under,” one person wrote on Twitter . “In a sea of recent criticism for reality television, sometimes there are genuine heroes in our midst as well.”

"I’ve been watching reality tv almost my whole life and I have *never* seen anything like tonight’s #BelowDeckDownUnder,” another person tweeted . “In a toxic industry and a franchise that ignores poor behavior by men, it was refreshing to see a woman believed and supported. Capt Jason and Aesha are gems.”

“The circumstances of this are horrible ... but this was a beautiful bravo moment,” another person wrote . “Producers, Aesha, and captain Jason deserve praise for how this was handled.”

Have Margot Sisson and other 'Below Deck' cast members responded?

After the episodes aired, Sisson shared a lengthy message in her Instagram story, expressing her thanks to everyone who helped her throughout the incident.

She said she would be “forever” grateful to Scott and praised “the way she recognized the vulnerability of the situation I was in and her courageous intervention.”

Sisson also thanked Chambers for his “immediate response to the situation.”

“There are unfortunately a lot of captains who would choose to sweep something like this under the rug,” she wrote. “I am grateful that Jason is not one of them. Thank you for repeatedly making me feel safe and supported.”

Chambers shared his own response to the episodes in a recent Instagram video .

“I’m sure you’re digesting Episodes Six and Seven, as I am,” he said. “I’ve had a flood of messages over the past 24 hours from people in similar situations. Some not so lucky of the outcome, so my heart goes out to them.”

He also thanked the show’s production team “for breaking the fourth wall and stepping in, then re-forming and allowing Aesha to come to me in an authentic manner and us dealing with as we would as captain and crew.”

He noted that these incidents occurred “over a year ago,” and shared his hopes for the future.

“The people involved are hopefully on a better journey to better themselves," he said. "So less hate, please, more love.”

Where are Luke Jones and Lauren Bileskalne now?

Jones and Bileskalne have both switched their Instagram accounts to “private” mode in the wake of the episodes airing.

Before going private on Instagram, Bileskalne issued a statement of apology on the social media platform, according to Entertainment Tonight .

“My sincere apologies to Adam, I did not realize I made him feel uncomfortable and no one should be put in that position,” she reportedly wrote on Instagram on Aug. 8.

“And to Margot to not been (sic) able to empathize,” her statement continued, as per ET. “I was 29 when the show was filmed, 30 was my life-changer. I am 31 now and I am watching it as all of you, an entertainment show.”

Jones also shared a statement on Instagram that seemed to allude to the incident, per ET.

“It doesn’t Matter what they think about you because you don’t Care. Everything we Hear is an Opinion, Not a Fact,” he wrote in an Aug. 6 post. "Everything we see is a Perspective. Not the Truth. Take Ownership and move forward.”

‘It was about safety’: Why the leaders on ‘Below Deck Down Under’ fired two castmates for misconduct

In the wee hours one spring day last year, a situation was unfolding just off Cairns, Australia, inside the Northern Sun luxury super yacht that’s at the center of Bravo’s “Below Deck Down Under.”

Members of the hard-partying and rambunctious yacht crew, fresh from finishing a multiday charter, were stumbling back to their quarters after a drink-fueled night out — such celebratory outings are a regular occurrence once the crew has completed a trip catering to the needs of demanding guests. It’s rarely a quiet return. This time, though, the inappropriate behavior displayed by two crew members, bosun Luke Jones and second steward Laura Bileskalne, led to their termination from the crew and the end of their time on the series: Each tried to get in bed with castmates who didn’t give their consent.

Heavy drinking is not uncommon on the compulsively watchable “Below Deck” franchise, whether it’s charter guests living it up during their luxe stay or off-duty yacht staff unwinding after days of exhausting work. The drunken antics typically reveal embarrassing behavior that often fuels the next day’s on-camera drama. But the turn of events depicted in the two most recent episodes of “Below Deck Down Under” quickly prompted conversation on social media. Many praised the swift handling of the situation, both by the yacht crew’s superiors and the show’s production team, as well as the episodes’ larger exploration of consent.

“It was a hard night; the whole thing was very, very difficult,” said Nadine Rajabi, one of the show’s executive producers. “I didn’t realize the response that would come of this because that was not anything that we were thinking about. It’s not anything to be congratulated on because it was just about doing the right thing. I would hope that everybody would act in that way. It was about safety.”

A collage of folks from the show 'Below Deck'

‘Below Deck’ was just ‘a terrible idea.’ This salty captain turned it into reality TV gold

Now in its 10th season, the show about life on a superyacht spawned Bravo’s next great reality franchise. We asked Capt. Lee Rosbach how it’s done.

Dec. 19, 2022

Bravo made the decision to run the episodes back-to-back, and the channel timed the season’s roll-out accordingly, so viewers could see the resolution promptly to avoid creating a cliffhanger out of the seriousness of the moment. Still, some fans criticized the decision not to place a content warning at the start of either episode. An advisory message arrives at the end of the seventh episode.

In Episode 6, viewers see that after a night of drinking, Jones went into the cabin of castmate Margot Sisson, who was intoxicated and passed out, and got in her bed naked. Both production staff and chief steward Aesha Scott intervened to keep Jones out. Within minutes, which continued into Episode 7, production thwarted Bileskalne after she climbed into the bed of boatmate Adam Kodra, who had been opposing her advances that night and for much of the season.

The Times reached out to Jones via Bravo, as well as his social media, for comment about his dismissal. He did not respond. In the episode, Jones says, “I accept that,” as the yacht’s captain, Jason Chambers describes his actions and delivers his dismissal. Later, as he’s leaving the boat, Jones tells Chambers, “I’m sorry. And I’m just so disappointed in myself.”

Bileskalne declined to comment for this story via Bravo, pointing to her Instagram post from last week about the matter: “My sincere apologies to Adam, I did not realize I made him feel uncomfortable and no one should be put in that position.”

Measuring at more than 50 meters (164 feet), the Northern Sun is a massive vessel. The production team is stationed inside the yacht in what is often referred to as video village, where production personnel can observe on monitors what cameras are capturing in real time. It takes “a solid minute,” Rajabi says, to get from the control room to the crew’s sleeping cabins on the lower level.

The quick intervention by producers at such a decisive moment came just as the yacht experienced a power outage. As the control room went dark, suspending footage feeds to the monitors, cameras were still recording. An audio supervisor was the first person to intervene, wedging his foot in the door to stop Jones from staying in Sisson’s room, as seen in the episode.

“Some of the lighting you’ll see is different; he used his phone to put light there. And that gave enough time because we have to run from video village,” Rajabi says. “And we had our producer that ran down in that moment and went in. It was a valiant effort of the production crew of going there and also, like, having somebody strong to actually go in. When the backup power eventually kicked in, you run. There’s no question, you run.”

Scott, 31, has been praised for her careful handling of the situation as it unfolded, taking measures to protect and ensure the safety of Sisson and Kodra as she became aware of details. She was hesitant to be interviewed for this story, saying she was wary that it would seem like she was exploiting a bad situation or seeking fame from it. Her sensitivity stems, in part, from her experience with sexual assault. In a 2019 episode of “Below Deck Mediterranean,” she revealed that she had been raped after a drunken night out.

“I actually couldn’t tell you what put me on edge that night. I just knew coming home in the van, my Spidey senses were tingling,” Scott says. “Something was just telling me that something wasn’t quite right. I had this thing on my brain: ‘Just get Margot to bed, get Margot to bed. That’s all you have to do.’

“For timing’s sake, they had to cut it down, so it doesn’t show quite how long I spent just lying in her cabin to make sure that she was OK. Then I remember the power went out when I was standing at the microwave waiting for my noodles to be finished. And I heard the producers run past, and it just made me so upset, because I’d spent so much time with Margot and her cabin, trying to make sure that she was OK, and it felt like after all that effort, I’d failed. I really felt upset.”

Scott, at first, was aware only of Jones’ behavior. She woke up Chambers to relay her concern. Chambers quickly removed Jones from the boat and told him to sleep it off in a hotel. Upon his return in the morning, Jones was fired by Chambers. Later, upon learning that Bileskalne had made insensitive remarks to Sisson — expressing sympathy toward Jones and questioning his firing — and confirming that Bileskalne was continuing to make unwanted sexual advances toward Kodra, which also prompted intervention by producers, Scott again relayed her concerns to Chambers. He promptly fired Bileskalne. (In addition to her social media apology to Kodra, Bileskane has since apologized to Sisson for not expressing sympathy.)

“For time’s sake, they couldn’t include a part where I did actually have a conversation with Laura about pulling back a bit [with Adam]; that it goes both ways, and she needs to stop being so inappropriate with Adam,” Scott says. “So to watch it and see just how far she was pushing it, that was really shocking to me as well.”

Chambers added, separately: “I don’t feel those small little bits until the audience does, until it’s aired. I know I made the right move now even more. I based my decisions off of what Aesha told me; that was enough for me to know that something had to be done there, obviously. And I based the other decision on what Aesha told me and what I spoke to Adam about, and combined, I just knew that that was an environment that I didn’t want to work in, and I didn’t want crew to work in. I want them to work in a happy, safe, family environment.”

This is not the first time “Below Deck” has been rocked by controversy. Excessive alcohol consumption is part of the franchise’s DNA, contributing to lax boundaries between work and personal relationships. An incident on “Below Deck Sailing Yacht” last year, in which two crew members had sex despite one appearing to be more intoxicated than the other, drew criticism from fans. Rajabi says that prior to production, cast members participate in workplace classes and training, which includes an increased focus on sensitivity training. While filming, production covers the cost of two drinks and some food during their outings — “that could be Diet Coke, it could be orange juice or whatever that is. But that’s it. Everything else is on them,” she says. (There is also a supply of alcohol on deck meant for guest consumption, which cast members sometimes get into on their nights off.)

“There’s been situations in the past where we really do monitor them, we cut them off, we make sure people are consenting — and these are the things you don’t see,” Rajabi continued. “The situation that’s been documented on this episode has not only sparked a lot of conversations that’s happening in the yachting industry, they’re like, this has shed a light on things. The one thing I remember from that night is I was so scared because I was like, ‘If there were no cameras, what would have happened? What would have happened? Because nobody else is there to watch.’ We’re actually encouraged to step in ... I think [this incident] was more instinctual; it was ‘this cannot happen,’ and it was safety. It wasn’t a ‘What do we do? Should we or shouldn’t we?’”

With seven episodes left in the current season, Chambers says he wanted to ensure a safe environment in the crew’s final days at sea.

“I’m also grateful that nothing happened,” Chamber said. “To all parties involved, everyone is going to be hurt from this. We need to protect all the crew members involved, and I mean all the crew members involved, for their health, safety and mental health going forward. We need to respect every person around us and understand that no means no so that we’re all safe.”

Why two crew members were fired from ‘Below Deck Down Under’

Producers for the bravo reality show and members of the crew intervened in a recent episode that showed incidences of sexual misconduct.

below deck sailing yacht season 2 fired

Two crew members on “Below Deck Down Under” were fired from the superyacht featured on the Bravo show due to sexual misconduct that forced the show’s production team and the boat’s captain to intervene.

Within several minutes of the show’s Aug. 7 episode, producers thwarted boatswain Luke Jones and second steward Laura Bileskalne after they entered other crew member’s bedrooms without their consent and attempted to make sexual advances on their shipmates.

“Our cabin is our safety zone,” the captain of the superyacht, Jason Chambers, told his crew. “That door is our boundary. That door is not to be opened unless it’s consensual.”

Though Chambers said the firings happened over a year ago, footage of the incidents aired for the first time this week, which has brought a lot of attention to the “Below Deck” show from fans who were alarmed by the incidents but impressed by the response of the production crew and other crew members on the boat.

What is ‘Below Deck Down Under?’

The show — which debuted in 2022 — is a spinoff of the reality program “Below Deck,” which has been around for more than a decade. This season focuses on the crew aboard the Northern Sun, a superyacht that hosts guests sailing through the Whitsunday Islands in Australia.

Like other “Below Deck” programs, the episodes show the high-stress and dramatic situations of the crew, who have to contend with wealthy charter guests and the politics on the boat itself. Romantic relationships frequently pop up on the show as the young and attractive crew members spend a lengthy amount of time together away from their family and friends.

The show’s latest episode featured two incidents that led to a pair of firings.

What happened during this episode?

The first incident began after third stew Margot Sisson told chief steward Aesha Scott that she didn’t want to be bothered after a night of drinking. “All I want is water and bed. No Luke,” she said, referencing Jones.

Soon Jones, who was naked at the time, was seen as he attempted to enter Sisson’s bed, despite her being unconscious and, as she recalled later in the episode, “blackout drunk.” Producers, who are not typically on the show, jumped into the scene and forced Jones out of the room despite his heavy protests, expletives and screams. He was then brought to his own quarters, where he locked himself inside.

After learning about what happened from Sisson, a tearful Scott reported the incident to the captain, who quickly kicked Jones off the ship and sent him to a hotel for the night.

“You don’t have the right to put someone unconscious into that position,” Scott told the camera in an interview after the incident. “I have had a drunken sexual-assault experience before, and I never wanted that to happen to anyone else. And she’s just such a sweet angel that the thought of anyone violating or being in her space, it just makes me feel sick.”

The following morning, Sisson, who did not recall details of what had occurred, expressed relief that nothing happened with Jones.

Chambers then called Jones back on board and promptly fired him.

“Last night there were boundaries crossed,” Chambers told Jones. “There was indecency, and you went into someone else’s cabin without consent. Unfortunately, I’ve got nothing else but to terminate your employment.”

Jones then apologized for the incident, “I’m sorry, and I’m just so disappointed in myself.”

What happened in the second incident?

Shortly after Jones was fired from the ship, Sisson discussed the incident with the second steward, Bileskalne. The second steward repeatedly said that she did not agree with Jones’s firing and expressed sympathy toward him.

“Aw, poor Luke,” Bileskalne told Sisson after hearing what happened. “If he comes naked in my cabin I’d be, like, ‘Hello! Yes!’”

After hearing about these insensitive comments, chief steward Scott told the captain that he might need to have a conversation with Bileskalne.

Scott also informed the captain that Bileskalne had separately made a number of unwanted sexual advances toward deckhand Adam Kodra.

Earlier in the Aug. 7 episode, the cameras showed Bileskalne’s attempt to sit on Kodra’s lap in a hot tub and Kodra evading her. Later on, she entered Kodra’s room without his consent and tried to give him a massage, pouring lotion across his back (this appeared to have happened around the same time that Jones entered Sisson’s room). The producers intervened, asking Bileskalne to leave Kodra’s room. She kissed Kodra on the back multiple times before exiting the cabin.

“I told her many times I just want to be friends, but she’s not getting the point across,” Kodra told the camera.

The next morning, Chambers called Bileskalne into his office to talk, where he expressed disappointment for her comments toward Sisson and advances toward Kodra.

“Adam feels uncomfortable with some moments out, and he’s tried to say no, and you have not listened to him and his boundaries to be set,” the captain told Bileskalne the following day.

Chambers said Bileskalne had disrespected him by joking with Sisson about the incident with Jones, despite his conversation with the crew about respecting each other.

“I’m trying to move forward as a team,” he said. “I’m trying to get that behind us, and you’ve brought it straight back up, so in that I’m going to terminate your employment today.”

What has Bravo said about the firings?

Representatives for Bravo and “Below Deck Down Under” declined to comment. Cast members were not made immediately available for interviews.

Has the ‘Below Deck Down Under’ cast responded?

Sisson posted a lengthy message on her Instagram story in which she thanked the producers for helping her throughout the night. She said she was grateful to Scott as well for “the way she recognized the vulnerability of the situation I was in and her courageous intervention.”

“There are unfortunately a lot of captains who would choose to sweep something like this under the rug,” she wrote of Chambers. “I am grateful that Jason is not one of them. Thank you for repeatedly making me feel safe and supported.”

Scott addressed the controversy after the episode aired, saying that everyone has “the right to go out and have fun and feel safe, and that is just the [expletive] end of it. There’s no questions or ifs or buts, that is the end of it. So please keep an eye on your friends and each other.”

Chambers also posted an Instagram video , where he thanked the production team “for breaking the fourth wall and stepping in, then re-forming and allowing Aesha to come to me in an authentic manner and us dealing with as we would as captain and crew.”

Have Jones and Bileskalne made statements?

Bileskalne apologized in an Instagram post published on Aug. 8.

“My sincere apologies to Adam. I did not realize I made him feel uncomfortable, and no one should be put in that position,” she said.

Jones posted a statement on his Instagram, too, according to Entertainment Tonight.

“It doesn’t matter what they think about you because you don’t Care. Everything we Hear is an Opinion, Not a Fact,” he wrote in an Aug. 6 post. “Everything we see is a Perspective. Not the Truth. Take Ownership and move forward.”

This article previously said that Laura Bileskalne apologized in a statement to Entertainment Tonight. Her apology was posted on her Instagram account.

Below Deck 's Captain Jason Shares Update on 2 Fired Crewmembers After Sexual Misconduct Scandal

Below deck down under captain jason chambers revealed if he's had contact with luke jones and stew laura bileskalne after they were fired on season two for making unwanted sexual advances..

Captain Jason Chambers is revealing where he stands with Bosun Luke Jones and Stew Laura Bileskalne  after the two crewmembers were fired during season two of Below Deck Down Under for inappropriate sexual behavior towards their co-workers.

"I've stayed in touch," the Bravo star exclusively told E! News' Francesca Amiker at BravoCon 2023 on Nov. 4 alongside Chief Stew Aesha Scott . "Because we've all got the opportunity to grow from it. And you can't just push everyone away as a captain. I need to actually hold on to those people. Even in season one, I kept on with the crew, always in contact and see how they are. You don't want to set and forget. Everyone's got an opportunity to grow."

Aesha also praised her boss for helping Luke and Laura learn from their mistakes aboard the Northern Sun .

"Jason as a captain, I remember getting emotional after season two when I said goodbye," she gushed to E!, "because so much of him reminds of my father."

"He's very understanding and he sees everything in everyone and how they can grow," she continued. "He really wants to guide people and help them mature and become better people. So, he'll never leave you stranded."

Luke and Laura were both sent home on the Bravo series' Aug. 7 episode for making unwanted sexual advances towards their costars Stew Margot Sisson and Deckhand Adam Kodra respectively after a night of partying. Both Jason and Aesha immediately stepped in to insure their crew felt safe and let the two yachties.

Following the incident, Jason spoke out against sexual harassment in any workplace .

Then reforming and allowing Aesha to come to me in an authentic manner and us dealing with it as we would as captain and crew."

Jason concluded by noting he hopes those involved are now "on a better journey to better themselves" and called for "less hate please, more love."

If there's one thing to learn from Camille Lamb 's Below Deck firing, it's to not slack off on the job. That's exactly why the season 10 stew was let go by substitute Captain Sandy Yawn , as Chief Stew Fraser Olender continued to criticize Camille's behavior on board.

From being caught drinking while preparing for a new charter to partying at late hours and more, Fraser informed Captain Sandy that he had reached his "last straw."

"She's the common denominator in all of this," said Captain Sandy. "Great girl, great personality, but at the same time, we have to do what's best for the boat."

Below Deck Adventure 's Kyle Dickard was let go just three episodes into the reality franchise's latest series—which premiered in November 2022. After picking fights with his fellow deckhand Nathan Morley —as well as kissing crew mates in front of guests—Kyle was offered by Captain Kerry Titheradge the opportunity to resign so that his firing would not end up on his personal record.

Kyle took the Captain up on his offer and left the boat after just one charter.

Captain Sandy let bosun Raygan Tyler go during season seven of Below Deck Mediterranean ,  not only for causing the boat to  take a small hit while docking, but also for not stepping up to the plate as a leader.

But Captain Sandy didn't want her firing to discourage the bosun, as she told Raygan, "If I had the time and I wasn't running a boat this size, I would train you. I would teach you."

In addition to onboard romances and failing to follow directions , one of the biggest reasons behind stew Elizabeth Frankini 's Below Deck firing was her infamous laundry room accident , during which made a toxic mess when combining bleach and laundry soap.

"Unfortunately, I didn't know that was so toxic and I feel so bad about it," she told E! News of the incident in December 2020 . "You know, I do feel really bad, especially 'cause Francesca [ Rubi ] did say, 'Take it outside.'"

The bosun and stew were both fired by Captain Jason Chambers for inappropriate behavior after a night of partying with their fellow yachties.

Luke Jones was let go after getting into Stew Margot Sisson 's bed naked while she was drunk and unconscious. Laura Bileskaine also made unwanted advances on Deckhand Adam Kodra despite him telling her he was not interested in hooking up.

Jason made it known that consent was a must, and sent both crewmembers packing.

Tensions between stew Lexi Wilson and Chef Mathew Shea came to a head during an explosive dinner fight on season six of Below Deck Mediterranean , during which Lexi told Matt that his parents "should've aborted you." That was the last straw for Captain Sandy, who fired her not long after the incident.

Deckhand Tom Pearson said "bon voyage" to Below Deck Sailing Yacht after getting let go by Captain Glenn Shephard . Tom hit his last strike with the Captain after failing to report that the boat's anchor was dragging during heavy winds one night, causing a potential safety risk for everyone on board.

"It had to be done. It was such a grievous thing that he dropped the ball there, he had to go, and we had to just be man down and live with it, you know?" Captain Glenn said of the decision  on Watch What Happens Live. "So, obviously, you don't want to do that, but yeah, it had to happen."

Some people are picky eaters, but Below Deck Down Under' s Ryan McKeown was quite the picky chef, as he would judge guests'  food requests  and fail to take  criticism from Captain Jason Chambers , as well.

Perhaps Ryan's Below Deck exit is one of the franchise's most memorable, as he mooned Jason and viewers on his way off the boat.

Below Deck Down Under stew Magda Ziomek 's firing was another case of slacking on the job. After constantly being on her phone texting or video chatting with her boyfriend, Chief Stew Aesha Scott decided to replace Magda before the end of the charter season.

Below Deck Mediterranean 's Peter Hunziker was fired from the series in June 2020 after he shared an offensive post on social media.

"Peter Hunziker of Below Deck Mediterranean has been terminated for his racist post," Bravo wrote in a statement at the time. "Bravo and 51 Minds are editing the show to minimize his appearance for subsequent episodes."

Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier was let go by Captain Sandy on Below Deck Mediterranean after boson Malia White discovered her co-star possessed undeclared Valium and a vape pen, the former of which Hannah claimed was for her anxiety.

"If I could do it all over again, I would've just declared them as soon as I came on board," Hannah stated in an August 2020 interview with E! News. "It was definitely not something that was intentional. I wasn't trying to hide anything.

Below Deck Mediterranean 's Delaney Evans left just as quickly as she arrived. After initially being brought on during season six to help out Chief Stew Katie Flood , Katie determined that Delaney was doing more harm than good, choosing to let her go after just one charter.

"I think she was overwhelmed with the situation, and I think that, you know, in her mind, the best solution to the situation was just to go back to what they had before," Delaney told Bravo Insider of Katie's decision. "I think she was just overwhelmed with everything that was going on and all the feedback she was getting."

Deckhand Shane Coopersmith was a bit in over his head on season eight of Below Deck , as he was let go for failing to know basic skills, reporting late for duty and taking naps on the job.

Chaos in the kitchen led to Captain Lee Rosbach letting Chef Leon Walker go on season three of Below Deck . After an oven fire broke out , Lee placed the blame on Chief Stew Kate Chastain but was ultimately the one sent home.

Like several of the franchise's stars, Below Deck 's Chris Brown  was fired  during season five for failing to fully perform his duties. After being let go by Captain Lee, Chris shared some parting words as he left the boat, stating , "Who gives a s--t?"

Chef Mila Kolomeitseva was fired by Captain Sandy on season four of Below Deck Mediterranean after failing to use her cooking skills to produce top-quality food for guests—including some not-so-nice nachos .

"Of course it makes me feel awful," Mila said of her departure . "People like me who have big egos sometimes have to be put down to earth a little bit. But it makes me feel like I want to work even harder."

Sometimes people just don't work well together. That's exactly why Captain Lee fired Chandler Brooks during season six of Below Deck , telling the boson, "I don't think it's a good fit."

'Below Deck Down Under': A Crew Member 'Crossed the Line' After a Drunken Night Out — Triggering 2 Firings

Both Luke Jones and Laura Bileskalne were fired by Captain Jason Chambers after inappropriate behavior involving other crew members' boundaries

below deck sailing yacht season 2 fired

Two members of the crew from Bravo's Below Deck Down Under season 2 were swiftly fired after sexual misconduct following a night off the boat.

On Monday's episode, bosun Luke Jones was terminated by Captain Jason Chambers after climbing into the bed of Margot Sisson naked — and “without consent” — while the stewardess was asleep.

Second stew Laura Bileskalne was then also fired for the inappropriate way she reacted to the incident between Luke and Margot, as well as for her behavior toward deckhand Adam Kodra during the same night.

PEOPLE reached out to Bravo about the incidents.

The sequence of events began as the crew went out together in Cairns, Australia. After many shots were consumed by all, Margot noted that she was “really drunk” at dinner. Later, as crew members made their way back to the boat in taxis, chief stew Aesha Scott told deckhand Culver Bradbury that she was going to “watch” Margot, adding, “I just want to chaperone her a bit.”

“You should come and cuddle with me,” Luke told Margot in the back of the car.

"No, let's go,” said Margot.

“I just want to go to bed,” Margot then told Aesha as Aesha helped her onto the yacht and took her to her cabin.

Once in Margot’s cabin, Aesha told her, “I don’t want any drunkenness to be taken advantage of. So I’d just like to see you get into bed safely. I’ll get you water.”

Luke then appeared in Margot’s cabin in his boxers and said, “Let's have a f---ing jacuzzi,” before going and getting into the hot tub.

“I just saw the way that Luke was looking at you, and I’m feeling very protective,” Aesha told Margot.

Margot responded, “I am glad that you’re here. I don’t want to go in the jacuzzi, I want to go bed. All I want is water and bed, no Luke.”

After getting out of the hot tub, Luke then went back to his cabin, removed his swim trunks and wrapped himself in a towel. Unexpectedly, after the power then went out on the boat, Aesha went to the crew mess, leaving Margot alone in her room. At that point, Luke went into Margot’s cabin and dropped his towel, fully naked as he climbed into her top bunk while she slept.

Producers quickly intervened and told Luke he had to leave “because [Margot] wants to go to bed,” but Luke ignored their instructions and repeatedly told them, “Thank you, very much.”

Luke finally got out of Margot’s bed once the lights came back on. He asked the camera crew, "Can you f--- off for a second?” as he slammed the door to Margot's cabin, but producers pushed it open despite Luke repeatedly trying to close it.

“We can’t do that, she said no, she said no,” the producers told Luke. A frustrated Luke then left Margot’s cabin naked and said, “Jesus Christ, mate.”

Aesha then appeared and told Luke as he left Margot’s cabin, “Dude. “What the f---?”

Mark Rogers/Bravo

Laura then went to find Luke in his cabin and asked him, “What did you do? Honey, what happened?”

“Nothing, f--- them,” responded Luke. “Nothing, I was just sitting there. I had nothing to do with her. F---ing hell, mate!”

Back in Margot’s cabin, Aesha relayed to Margot what had happened. "So we’ve had a power shortage," said Aesha. "So, Laura and I went to the crew mess and I turned around and the producers were like, ‘Get out, get out,’ and then Luke runs out of here naked.”

A shocked Margot responded, “Oh my God. Ew, he was naked?”

"Did you consent to him being in here?” asked Aesha.

"No, I was asleep,” said Margot. “I did not invite that at all.”

“This is why I’m not f---ing comfortable leaving you here,” said Aesha as she gets into bed with Margot. “I’m not having any of this f---ing s---.”

“I didn’t even know,” added Margot.

Aesha began to cry as she went to Captain Jason's quarters to wake him up and tell him what had just happened.

“Basically we came home tonight and I just kind of felt like Luke kind of wanted to take advantage of Margot’s drunkenness a little bit. She was pretty out of it,” she said. “And then the next thing I know the power goes out and Luke is f---ing running out of Margot’s bed naked. She was completely unconscious.”

“Did anything happen?” asked Captain Jason.

“No,” said Aesha.

“So she’s safe? She’s safe, yeah?” asked Captain Jason.

"She’s safe,” Aesha confirmed.

“Where is [Luke] now?” Captain Jason asked.

“Well now Luke is so freaked out that he got caught that he’s locked himself in his room. Culver is locked out of his room. It was so f---ing wrong,” continued Aesha, still crying. "And I just feel like a lot of women have had history with things happen, and it just stresses me out if I ever see anyone being taken advantage of.”

Aesha, having shared in a 2019 episode of Below Deck Mediterranean her own experience with sexual assault, said in a confessional interview on Monday's episode: “We don’t actually know what would have happened, but being in her bed naked and she’s got no idea, it actually makes my skin crawl.”

She continued, “You don’t have the right to put someone unconscious into that position. I have had a drunken sexual assault experience before, and I never wanted that to happen to anyone else. And she’s just such a sweet angel that the thought of anyone violating or being in her space, it just makes me feel sick.”

Laurent Basset/Peacock

Captain Jason then got a key to open Luke and Culver’s cabin and told Luke, “Hey, mate. You need to get up, mate. You need to go, you need to get off the boat tonight. We’re gonna put you in a hotel for the night.”

“What?” asked Luke.

"You’re in a hotel for the night,” said Captain Jason.

“Why?” asked Luke.

"We’ll talk about it tomorrow,” responded Captain Jason.

"I don’t need to be in a hotel,” said Luke. “I’m good, I’m good.”

“You’ve gotta get off, come on mate. Up,” insisted Captain Jason. “Let’s make it easy. Grab a shirt, put your shoes on.”

The next morning, Margot asked Laura to jog her memory about the night out.

“What did we do after the restaurant? We just come here?” asked Margot.

“Yeah,” responded Laura.

“What did I do?” said Margot. “’Cause Luke got into my bed naked. And it was weird.”

“Was his d--- standing?” asked Laura.

“I don’t remember,” said Margot.

A visibly shaken Margot later went over the incident with Aesha and chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph and asked, “How long was he in my room for? Do you know?”

“I don’t know,” responded Aesha.

"I woke up feeling weird, and I knew that whatever, like, happened wasn’t OK,” said Margot. “I was, like, Am I gonna wake up and he’s still here and I just have to act cool? But I’m glad that’s not the case because that would be reality hard for me. I just feel stupid.”

“Don’t ever feel stupid. He should feel stupid,” said Tzarina, holding her hand.

"I mean yeah,” said Margot. “But … I was so drunk.”

"Women should be able to be able to be blackout drunk if they want to be,” said Tzarina. “We should be able to stand naked in a room and not have anyone do anything to us. You know, you were allowed to be drunk, you were allowed to be. It’s the other person’s problem.”

In a confessional, a tearful Margot said, “I feel like disappointed in myself, I feel embarrassed, sad. I’m shocked and I’m processing it, but I’m honestly just, I just feel so loved. It’s a lot of different emotions at once.”

Margot then called her sister Anna and mom to tell them what happened.

"What the f---? Are you OK?” asked her sister.

"Yeah,” said Margot. “I don’t think he did anything because then the producers were knocking on the door and being like, ‘Get out.’ They made him leave, thank God. I just feel really grossed out. I feel so stupid. I was probably being too flirty.”

"It’s not your fault,” her mom told her. “Sorry honey, sorry you had to go through that.”

"Me too,” added Margot.

Captain Jason then texted Luke and asked him to return to the boat to “talk.” As Luke was on his way, the rest of the crew gathered in the main salon, where Captain Jason told them Luke would be coming back on board to collect his belongings because his employment was being terminated.

"We had an incident last night, and I want to stress that this is a place that we respect each other,” Captain Jason told them. “Our cabin is our safety zone. That door is our boundary, that door is not to be opened unless it’s consensual. To walk into into someone else’s room without consent, indecent, is my limit.”

"Are we allowed to say goodbye?” asked Laura.

"No,” said Captain Jason.

Luke then returned to the boat and went into the crew mess with Captain Jason and told him, “I don’t really know what happened, which is eating me up a little bit.”

"Last night there were boundaries crossed,” said Captain Jason. “There was indecency, and you went into someone’s else cabin without consent.”

“Like I was naked?” asked Luke.

“Yeah,” said Captain Jason. “Unfortunately I’ve got nothing else but to terminate your employment.”

“I accept that,” said Luke. “I’m sorry, and I’m just so disappointed in my myself.”

Later in the episode, Margot and Laura were cleaning together when Laura told Margot, “S---, I’m so sad. I can’t believe Luke is gone.”

“You’re sad? I’m not,” said Margot.

"You’re not?” said Laura.

“No. I mean I’m bummed about everything that happened,” said Margot, who then told Laura what happened.

“What would have happened if no one had been there?" Margot asked Laura. “You know? I don’t know. I’m still kind of processing it.”

"Oh poor Luke,” said Laura. “I should have just kept him happy. If he comes naked in my cabin, I’d be like, ‘Hello! Yes!’”

"Yeah you would have loved it,” said Margot, growing uncomfortable.

"But it’s his fault, he rejected me,” laughed Laura. “If he wouldn’t have done that, I would still be with him. I said I would make him regret, and that came true like very big time. It’s his karma.”

“I’m just happy that he’s gone,” said Margot.

But Laura wouldn't let it go. “Oh God, and then he comes back for his bags and we can’t be there, we can’t say goodbye?”

"Like, I don’t really want to talk to him,” said Margot.

In a confessional, Margot wondered aloud, “What the f---? How are you pouting right now? It’s all f---ed up. She’s f---ed up I think.”

In the laundry, Aesha then approached Adam, telling him she’d noticed Laura had been “pretty intense” with him and wanted to check that he was OK.

"I think she thinks I’m playing around because I’m being nice about it,” said Adam. “I don’t want to get anyone in trouble or anything like that, but maybe I’ve got to be more serious.”

“I saw it and it and was like, ‘I’ve got your back,’” said Aesha.

Meanwhile, in a confessional, Laura said that Captain Jason “should have given [Luke] a chance,” in regards to Luke. “It’s not fair,” said Laura. “It’s not deserved, and I don’t agree with it.”

She picked back up her incredibly inappropriate and uncomfortable conversation with Margot in the laundry. “I just don’t think it’s fair anyways, I’m sorry for you, I just think it should be a warning,” she said. “I don’t know. I’m just sad. I think he just meant it as a joke. He’s a funny guy, I don’t think he meant anything bad. He wouldn’t rape you or anything.”

"Yeah,” said Margot blankly.

Laura continued, “He’s a sexual person, I’m a sexual person, you’re a sexual person. We were joking, that thing was probably like, ‘Hahaha, we all drunk.’”

“I don’t know,” said Margot.

Laura then pointed a finger at Margot’s behavior the night before: “And it’s not that you said no to him the whole night, like he didn’t feel comfortable to come to you. He felt welcomed coming there.”

“I don’t think so, though,” said Margot. “Aesha said, ‘Don’t go in there,’ over and over again. Said like, ‘She’s really drunk leave her alone, don’t go in there. She’s passed out.”

Shortly after, Margot told Aesha about what Laura had been saying to her. Aesha immediately called Laura’s response “so f---ing inappropriate,” then went straight to Captain Jason to recap the interactions, while also mentioning Laura’s “very inappropriate, borderline sexual harassment” toward Adam.

She noted of Adam: “He’s like, ‘I feel like I’ve told [Laura] no, and she’s not listening.’”

The night before, around the time the incident with Margot took place, Laura had also crawled into Adam’s bed and tried to massage him even though he had told her he didn’t want her to come into his cabin and to "watch herself" when they were in the hot tub.

After conversations with both Margot and Adam, Captain Jason then called Laura to the wheelhouse.

He began, “Two things: One, Adam feels uncomfortable with some moments out and he’s tried to say no and you have not listened to him and his boundaries to be set. The second thing is, after my multiple speeches with the crew about boundaries, about respect, did you not go to Margot and say, ‘Poor Luke, I wish he would come in and see me’?”

“I actually went to her and asked how she's feeling and is she OK,” claimed Laura.

“She’s not OK. They’re not OK,” said Captain Jason. “They feel there’s a big disconnect now, and it’s not what I want from my team. You’ve disrespected exactly what I set out to do.”

"OK, but I understood what you said, I respect it,” said Laura.

“You didn’t show that,” countered Captain Jason. “For you to go to Margot and say that shows you did not listen to a word I said about boundaries — and it showed little respect and empathy to Margot. I’m trying to move forward as a team, I’m trying to get that behind us and you’ve brought it straight back up, so in that I’m going to terminate your employment today.”

“Wow,” responded Laura. “But I don’t think I have done something wrong that I need to be terminated. Can you give me a warning?”

"No,” said Captain Jason. “I can’t go on with you as part of the team in the environment that I’m trying to set.”

Laura then told Captain Jason she thought his decision was a "mistake" before going to pack her belongings.

"I really think it was the right call," Aesha told Captain Jason.

For her part, Margot said in a confessional: "I feel so much relief, I feel like a weight has been lifted."

Luke Jones and Laura Bileskaine from 'Below Deck Down Under' Season 2

The latest episode of Bravo ‘s Below Deck Down Under Season 2 saw two crew members get fired due to their non-consensual sexual advances to co-workers.

Bosun Luke Jones and second steward Laura Bileskalne were kicked off the yacht for misconduct after producers had to step in following a chilling and scary moment.

Jones ignored repeated requests by producers to step off the top bunk bed, even shutting and locking the door on them. Producers finally were able to get Jones out of Sisson’s room and had him go to his own quarters.

Chief Steward Aesha Scott found out about the situation and reported it to Captain Jason Chambers, who made Jones leave the yacht and check in to a hotel for the night.

The following morning the captain made the decision to fire Jones, telling him: “Last night there were boundaries crossed. There was indecency, and you went into someone else’s cabin without consent. Unfortunately, I’ve got nothing else but to terminate your employment.”

Jones apologized for what happened and said he was disappointed in himself. He was asked to pack up his things and leave without saying farewell to the rest of the crew.

As Chambers gathered everyone to tell them that Jones had been let go, Bileskalne said she was sad that he’d left without saying goodbye. Bileskalne had a moment with Sisson where she was told what happened between her and Jones, and instead of having more sympathy for her, the second steward seemed to be more sad Jones had left.

Bileskalne also mentioned to Sisson that if Jones had gone into her room, she would’ve welcomed it. She also repeatedly said Jones should have been given a warning and not fired automatically.

“I told her many times I just want to be friends, but she’s not getting the point across,” Kodra said during a confessional.

When Chambers was made aware of Bileskalne’s comments about Sisson and her non-consensual advancements to Kodra, the captain made the decision to terminate her also.

“Adam feels uncomfortable with some moments out, and he’s tried to say no, and you have not listened to him and his boundaries to be set,” Chambers told Bileskalne.

He added: “I’m trying to move forward as a team. I’m trying to get that behind us, and you’ve brought it straight back up, so in that I’m going to terminate your employment today.”

Bileskalne pleaded to only get a warning, but Chambers declined. As she was leaving, she told Chambers he was making a mistake.

Who got fired from Below Deck Down Under after crew's safety jeopardised?

Who got fired from Below Deck Down Under after crew’s safety jeopardised?

Below Deck Down Under kicked off its second season in 2023. While the Northern Sun may have set off from stunning Cairns, Australia, the crew experienced less than smooth sailing as two members had their employment terminated during the charter. Now, fans want to know who got fired from Below Deck Down Under.

Laura Bileskalne joined Below Deck Down Under season 2 as a newcomer to the Bravo show. However, along with another of the crew members, Laura’s time on the boat was short-lived due to inappropriate conduct. The fired crew members have been replaced by some familiar faces on the 2023 show.

Who got fired from Below Deck Down Under?

Below Deck Down Under season 2 saw two crew members fired from the Northern Sun in 2023.

Laura and her co-star, Luke Jones, both had their employment contracts terminated and were asked to leave the boat.

Since their firings, both Laura and Luke have posted responses on social media.

  • OMG: Jaimee Neale joins Below Deck after firings but fans fear she’ll ‘spark trouble’

The two were axed from the Bravo show for inappropriate conduct.

In an interview with The LA Times, a producer from the show named Nadine Rajabi said of the firings: “It was about safety.”

Laura broke silence after Below Deck firing

After what happened to Margot Sisson on Below Deck Down Under, many fans were in agreement that Laura and Luke should have been fired from the show.

Taking to Instagram on August 8, Laura wrote: “My sincere apologies to Adam, I did not realize I made him feel uncomfortable and no one should be put in that position. And to Margot for not being able to empathize. I was 29 when the show was filmed, 30 was my life-changer. I am 31 now and I am watching it as all of you, an entertainment show.”

Taking to Instagram Stories on August 21, Laura said that the negative comments she’s received as a result of what transpired on the show have pushed her into more healthy eating habits, exercise, and “self time,” as she attempts to combat the negativity with her own positive vibes.

Below Deck star has moved on

Many Below Deck Down Under fans were “furious” over Laura’s actions on Below Deck Down Under.

The former Bravo star defended Luke’s inappropriate actions aboard the Northern Sun during episode 7. Luke got into Margot’s bunk bed without her consent after the crew went on a night out.

Many viewers found the scenes “triggering,” and after Luke was fired, Captain Jason Chambers also fired Laura.

Speaking to Laura, Jason asked her: “Did you not go into Margot and say ‘Poor Luke, I wish he would’ve come and seen me?'”

He continued to add that he thought she hadn’t listened to “a word he’d said about boundaries,” and fired her mid-charter.

Laura was replaced by Jaimee Neale on the Northern Sun and she now writes in her Instagram bio that she’s based in Miami, Florida.

Crew Overboard! ‘Below Deck’ Cast Members Who Were Fired During Their Charter Seasons

Jelly Roll Weight Loss

If there’s one thing Below Deck fans know, working aboard a yacht is a high stress environment. For some cast members, the job proved too overwhelming , while for others it was being stuck aboard a boat with coworkers they didn’t get along with that was their downfall .

Deal of the Day Blue Bathing suit 4-7-24

Deal of the Day

Rarely does a season go by without a crew member – and in some cases multiple cast mates – getting fired while charter season was underway. Some were let go a few hours before a new group of guests were ready to board, leaving the rest of the crew shorthanded. Other times, captains have no problem lowering the boom.

Which 'Below Deck' Couples Are Still Together

Jared Woodin became the first casualty of Below Deck season 11, when the bosun was fired by Captain Kerry Titheradge after a series of docking errors, getting aggressive with one of his deckhands and just not having his mind on the very important job he had.

Below Deck season 11’s bosun was let go by Captain Kerry Titheradge on the March 18, 2024, episode. He had been warned about getting too drunk on crew nights out and not being able to function well the following day. He also had several major screwups while assisting in docking the St. David and got aggressive with deckhand Kyle Stillie while intoxicated over a tobacco spillage.

“This is the second time you’ve gone on the piss and you’ve had bad behavior. You’re in a leadership role. You can’t be acting like that. You gotta be above the fray. The way that you’re treating these guy is not acceptable,” Kerry told Jared the morning after walking in on him berating Kyle.

The captain was also aware that Jared was stressed that he had been unable to make his weekly calls to his daughter in Alaska while on the ship, which led to him not being as attentive in his position as he should have been.

“You’ve got s–t going on, man. You’re your own worst enemy right now. You need to depart the vessel,” Kerry told a shocked Jared, who ultimately agreed he wasn’t in the head space to be in the fast-paced world of yachting with all that was going on in his personal life.

Below Deck Stars Fired 302 Adam Kodra

Mark Rogers/Bravo

The Brooklyn native’s background on commercial ships didn’t translate well to his first outing as a deckhand on a super yacht during season 2 of  Below Deck Down Under . After making several mistakes, including not lowering a fender in time during docking so that The Northern Sun hit a pylon, Adam accidentally dropped the anchor while the ship was moving at full cruising speed, which could have been catastrophic if not quickly correctly by bosun  João Franco .

Captain Jason thought that error was serious enough that he no longer trusted Adam with duties aboard his boat. In the August 28, 2023, episode, Adam was let go in favor of bringing in a strong lead deckhand to keep the rest of the deck crew operating smoothly.

“You’re definitely a good bloke, you’re definitely good in the bridge, but on deck I don’t think you have the experience for super yachts and that anchor being dropped underway is kind of where I draw the line,” Captain Jason told Adam, adding, “We’re gonna let you go and we’re gonna bring in a lead deckhand. I just need someone with a lot more experience.”  Luka Brunton  came aboard in time for the next charter to help take charge of the deck under João.

The well-liked Adam was all class in his response, telling Jason, “I apologize for even creating that for the time that I was here, but thank you so much for giving me the opportunity.” He said in his confessional that he was going back to working on commercial vessels but hoped to give super yachting another try one day.

Below Deck Stars Fired 366 Luke Jones

The season 2  Below Deck Down Under  bosun was escorted off the boat and fired after he crawled naked into stew Margot Sisson’s bunk after she was passed out following a crew night out that involved heavy drinking. During the episode that aired on August 7, 2023, producers dramatically tried to pull Luke off a sleeping Margot and he eventually stumbled back to his cabin and locked the door. Chief stew Aesha Scott found out about what happened and immediately woke up Captain Jason Chambers to alert him to the situation. Luke was sent to a nearby hotel and returned to the yacht in the morning, where Jason terminated him on the spot. Although Luke didn’t remember what happened due to being heavily intoxicated, he accepted his dismissal and left The Northern Star for good.

The second stew’s open lack of empathy for what happened to a deeply shaken Margot following Luke’s actions led to her firing during the same episode. Not only did the Latvia native ask if she could say goodbye to Luke when Captain Jason told the crew he’d been let go, she went on to complain he shouldn’t have been fired and simply let off with a warning, not viewing what he did as something serious. Laura then told Margot that she would have been happy to have Luke crawl naked into her bed and didn’t understand why her coworker was rattled by the ordeal.

Laura also had issues with being an unwanted visitor in a crew member’s bed the same night as Luke’s actions. After overtly hitting on deckhand Adam Kodra repeatedly despite him telling her he wasn’t interested, she climbed into his bunk and began pouring massage oil on his back, even though he asked her to leave. Producers once again got involved and told Laura she needed to leave his cabin.

Aesha had already observed Laura making Adam uncomfortable and asked him about her behavior. Margot then came to her boss about the cold things Laura said to her regarding Luke’s actions. Aesha went to Captain Jason with the information, and he called both Adam and Margot to the bridge to hear their stories firsthand. Laura was then called in and Jason fired her on the spot for going against everything he said in the crew meeting about empathy and respecting other’s spaces.

Alissa Humber Below Deck Stars Fired

Alissa Humber

The  Below Deck  season 10 second stew got on Captain Sandy Yawn’s bad side after the skipper fired her nemesis,  Camille Lamb . Sandy perceived an “attitude” from Alissa and had enough of what she believed to be “insubordination” when during a one-on-one meeting, the stewardess referred to her boss by her first name only, then corrected herself to include “captain.”

“Yesterday was the [last] straw for me. Your insubordination and lack of respect is insurmountable,” the  Below Deck Med  captain told her interior member on the February 20, 2023, episode. “Alissa, when you said, ‘Yes Sandy. I mean Captain Sandy.’ That was a f—k you to my face. No matter what job you work in, respect for hierarchy is a must. I am letting you go,” she told a shocked Alissa, who was then escorted off the yacht by bosun  Ross McHarg .

It appears Alissa will be the last crew member Sandy fires, as at the end of the episode she got a call from Captain Lee Rosbach, telling her he’d been medically cleared to return to the St. David and would take back his skippering duties the following day.

Below Deck Camille Lamb - 118

Camille Lamb

The  Below Deck season 10 deck/stew seemed to want to be a guest aboard the St. David rather than an employee. She complained about tasks she was given, repeatedly ignored instructions and clashed nonstop with second stew  Alissa Humber . Even Captain Sandy Yawn scolded Camille for her “fresh mouth” after she made multiple negative comments over the ship-wide radios. The Mississippi native was given one final charter to show improvement or get fired. Camille made it through the voyage by the skin of her teeth, even though she got in a screaming match with Alissa in front of the charter’s guests. The final straw came on turn over day, when she knocked off early from cleaning cabins to drink champagne and party with the deck crew on the dock. Chief stew  Fraser Olender had enough after catching Camille with a “pint” full of champagne aboard the yacht when she should have been working, saying in a confessional that Camille showed “no care or willingness to do the job.” Fraser went to Sandy and recommended Camille be let go, and she was subsequently terminated by the captain at the end of the January 16, 2023, episode. The blonde beauty later claimed she was  encouraged to drink by producers  during a confessional taping off the boat before being sent back to the yacht to finish her work in a “sauced” condition.

Kyle Dickard

The first yachtie from the new franchise addition  Below Deck Adventure  was sent packing in the show’s third episode on November 15, 2022. The brusque deckhand from Texas had already made one of the stews uncomfortable by kissing her in front of guests, which got back to a very irked Captain Kerry. Kyle then threatened his bunkmate Nathan Morley when he politely reminded Kyle that he kept forgetting to flush their toilet. The self-proclaimed “cowboy” threatened to “tussle” with his roommate over the issue. Nathan took his concerns for his safety to Kerry, who gave Kyle the option of resigning or being fired and having it on his yachting record. The former rodeo clown chose the former, leaving The Mercury down their most experienced deckhand hours before a new charter was about to get underway.

Below Deck Crew Members Fired

Laurent Basset/Bravo

Ryan McKeown

The  Below Deck Down Under  season 1 chef proved to have the most “can’t do” attitude of any cook to hit the franchise’s galley. He constantly criticized guests’ meal and food requests even though they were paying tens of thousands of dollars for five-star cuisine on their charters, underperformed when he thought their dinner selections were boring and generally slacked off on doing anything more than the absolute basics of his job. When Captain Jason Chambers told him he needed to up the “wow” factor in his cuisine, Ryan got combative with his boss rather than take the constructive criticism to heart. He stepped it up for one charter’s worth of meals before falling back into his lazy ways, making simple and not very tasty tacos for a charter that asked for a full Mexican “fiesta” worth of food. Jason tried to replace Ryan earlier in the season, but no chefs were available to work on the Thalassa. Between his bad attitude, underwhelming food, constantly clashing with chief stew Aesha Scott and all-around disrespect toward his crew mates, Jason finally gave Ryan the heave-ho when a new chef became available with two charters left in the season. Showing his total lack of class, Ryan pulled his pants down and mooned Jason while leaving the boat.

Below Deck Crew Members Fired

Magda Ziomek

The season 1  Below Deck Down Under  stew drove the rest of her interior team, as well as Captain Jason Chambers, crazy with the overwhelming amount of time she spent on her phone texting and and FaceTiming with her boyfriend back in Poland. It proved to be a total distraction from her work duties, as well as literally giving her sleepless nights. Her ineffective performance with laundry, cleaning cabins and serving guests ultimately led to her downfall, as Magda was let go with only two charters remaining in the season.

Below Deck Crew Members Fired

Raygan Tyler

The season 7  Below Deck Med  bosun had some big shoes to fill leading Captain Sandy’s deck team after Malia White didn’t return due to taking a higher position on another boat. Raygan spent more time on smoke breaks than working and completely failed at managing her deck crew. Raygan wasn’t able to correctly determine the simple distance between the yacht and a floating piling while the vessel was docking, causing the boat to hit it.

Even the charter guests openly complained about her total lack of interest in helping them with water activities … which was an integral part of her job. Captain Sandy let her go and promoted far more competent deckhand Storm Smith to the bosun position.

Below Deck Crew Members Fired

Tom Pearson

The Englishman was fired from  Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 after repeatedly showing his lack of work ethic. Then he allowed the Parsifal III’s anchor to drag during heavy winds while on night watch and failed to alert anyone to the vessel’s dire situation. While Captain Glenn Shepard is a pretty easygoing guy, Tom just proved to be too much of a liability to keep aboard his sailing yacht.

Below Deck Crew Members Fired

Lexi Wilson

The former Bahamian beauty queen came aboard season 6 of Below Deck Med with plenty of attitude. She was definitely not there to make friends and had an especially combative relationship with chef Matt Shea. Her constant clashes with her crew mates led Captain Sandy to fire Lexi for the good of onboard morale.

elow Deck Crew Members Fired

Elizabeth Frankini

The yoga and crystal enthusiast was just not cut out for the speediness and timeliness of interior work aboard a super yacht. Elizabeth was a constant headache for chief stew Francesca Rubi on season 8 of Below Deck. She turned out to cause literal headaches when she bleached a shirt in the laundry room and accidentally made a toxic gas mixture that spread to the crew mess and other areas of the boat.

She spent more time flirting with deckhand James, with whom she’d had a brief boatmance and didn’t want to let things go, than she did working. In addition, she was not being able to follow directions and assignments Francesca was repeatedly having to give her. After multiple talks between Ches and Captain Lee Rosbach about Liz’s poor performance, she was let go from her stew position.

Screen Shot 2022-09-23 at 17.43.11

Shane Coopersmith

The inexperienced deckhand was more interested in getting his message out about saving the planet than he was in helping assist the deck crew in keeping My Seanna in ship-shape. He had to learn basic knots, didn’t understand assignments given to him by first mate Eddie Lucas and decided to take naps whenever he felt tired … in addition to missing his wake-up alarm and being late for his shift.

Shane was fired early on in season 8 of Below Deck for just not cutting it with basic deckhand duties. Fortunately, he did succeed in his environmental mission to replace plastic straws on yacht with paper ones!

Below Deck Crew Members Fired

Karolina Wojtasik/Bravo

Hannah Ferrier

The show’s most controversial firing, EVER. After 5 seasons as Captain Sandy’s chief stew on Below Deck Med , Hannah was let go for having undeclared valium which she kept for panic attacks (and had a prescription for) as well as a vape pen.

The items were discovered by her bunkmate, bosun Malia White, after Hannah had a crippling anxiety attack. She took photos of Hannah’s items and forwarded them to Sandy. The captain immediately fired Hannah, as she hadn’t declared her medication before the season got underway and the valium was deemed by Sandy to be “drugs” onboard her vessel.

Below Deck Crew Members Fired

Peter Hunziker

Below Deck Med  season 5 viewers never got to know Pete because he was fired in June 2020, just before the show premiered, for posting a racially charged meme to his social media. Producers had him edited out of the season as a result, though his presence was still seen occasionally in docking shots and other scenes where he was visible in the background.

Below Deck Crew Members Fired

Mila Kolomeitseva

While she claimed to be Cordon Bleu trained, the Below Deck Med season 4 chef proved to be seriously lacking in simple cooking skills. After attempting to serve sad-looking plain cheese nachos to guests, she later revealed she didn’t know how to make pancakes.

Since five-star food is one of the reasons guests book a super yacht trip, Captain Sandy quickly let Mila go and replaced her with third stew Anastasia Surmava. Anastasia proved to be far more adept in the kitchen, until chef Ben Robinson arrived mid-season to finish out the rest of the charters aboard the Sirocco.

Adam Kodra in Below Deck confessional, in blue polo shirt

Why was Adam Kodra fired from ‘Below Deck Down Under’ season 2?

Bethany Gemmell

The second season of Below Deck Down Under has been the most eventful yet, and the latest episode is no different. Episode 12 saw the firing of deckhand Adam Kodra, the third crew member to be forced out of the Northern Sun super-yacht this season alone.

Adam Kodra had been at the other end of a firing just weeks ago, when stewardess Laura Bileskalne was fired by Captain Jason Chambers for repeated unwanted advances against Adam, as well as her defense of Luke Jones’ attempted sexual assault, which resulted in Luke’s own firing. Now, Adam has been at the center of his own controversy that resulted in the loss of his job.

Adam Kodra mishandled the anchor when the ship was setting sail, dropping it onto the ground with brutal force during its motion. The incident caused over $1,000 worth of damage to the luxury yacht, which was a surprising mistake from a cast member who won over so many fans through his hard work and positive vibes.

While it was a rare gaffe from the deckhand, Captain Jason decided that the damage to the yacht, as well as safety concerns, proved too much to risk if he kept Adam on. “I can’t believe it. I was learning a lot and I was having a lot of fun. It just sucks that it’s getting cut short,” an emotional Adam said in a confessional. “I completely messed up. You don’t have anyone to blame but yourself.”

Hopes of Adam’s return were quickly dashed by Luka Brunton, who was swiftly drafted in to replace Adam’s deckhand role by the end of the episode.

All The Cast Members Who Were Fired From 'Below Deck' And What They're Up To Now

Bravo's " Below Deck " series has captivated viewers with the boatloads of drama that is synonymous with life as a yachtie. Thousands of dollars in tip money, stunningly beautiful locations, and attractive carefree co-workers are just some of the reasons to quit your day job and join the yachting industry. It's not always smooth sailing, however, as fans of the docu-series have seen season after season. Factor in 14-hour workdays, guests with impossible expectations, and the pressure to deliver five-star service aboard a moving vessel, and the life of a yachtie doesn't seem like a floating vacation after all. Lucky for us, it serves as great reality television.

As " Below Deck " fans know — not all the crew members that come aboard a luxury yacht for a charter season make it through unscathed. Throughout the decade that "Below Deck" has been on television, viewers have watched several crew members get fired. While these yachties get paid big bucks for their tireless service, many have cracked under pressure. In yachting, there's no room for error. Not only do guests pay thousands of dollars for their three-day charter, but their safety is in the hands of the crew members. Each season, viewers have seen Captain Sandy Yawn and Captain Lee Rosbach call several cast members up to the wheelhouse with bad news. While some have gone on to work on different boats, others have left yachting for good. We're taking a look at all the cast members who were fired from " Below Deck " and what they're up to now.

Camille Lamb released new music

Stewardess Camille Lamb caused quite the stir when she debuted on "Below Deck" Season 10. Her outspoken personality and aversion to authority got the best of her while aboard the motor yacht St. David, and Captain Sandy Yawn sent her packing mid-charter season. Lamb had a tumultuous relationship with fellow stewardess Alyssa Humbart, one that boiled over into screaming matches while guests were onboard. In this clip , Yawn had to break up the verbal fight in which Lamb and Humbart cursed at each other and threw insults like "bully" and "manipulator." Ultimately Yawn fired the stewardess, admitting that Lamb was negatively affecting the cohesiveness of the interior department.

Since her time on the show, Lamb has kept busy with her music career. As per her Instagram bio , the Mississippi native was a former contestant on "American Idol" in 2021 and continues pursuing her music passion. She dropped her first two singles, "Bad Girl" and "Cool Like Me" in May 2023. The artist's country-pop vocals are a nod to the Southerner's upbringing in a small town. In addition to her musical pursuits, she also drops exclusive content for subscribers on her Only Fans page .

Despite Lamb's short-lived time on "Below Deck," the yachtie reconnected with Yawn and her girlfriend Leah Shafer in January 2023 during a Florida boat race. Shafer posted a series of Instagram photos of the tree enjoying the afternoon together, writing, "I'm Team Camille all the way!" Yawn commented on the post, writing, "What a nice afternoon."

Magda Ziomek has a successful modeling career

Polish model Magda Ziomek was quite the flirt during her time on Season 1 of "Below Deck Down Under." Flirting with Captain Jason Chambers wasn't enough to save her fate, however, and the stewardess was ultimately let go during charter eight. When Ziomek wasn't distracted by Chambers' good looks, she was balancing her long-distance relationship. When she was supposed to be cleaning cabins or tending to guests, Ziomek was hogging the crew wifi to text her then-boyfriend. In her confessional, the model admitted , "It is sad, but it is like that in yachting. And I love being here, but the same time, it's like I cannot be fully focused on here because there's so much else going on in my life."

As for what Ziomek is up to since yachting, she keeps herself busy as a successful international model. As per her Instagram bio , the yachtie works with several modeling agencies, including companies in Bali, Greece, the United States, Italy, and South Africa. As of the time of writing, the model resides in Greece where she works with several designers. Ziomek donned three looks as she strutted the catwalk during Athens Fashion Week in 2023. As per her Instagram Highlights , the stewardess still dabbles in yachting. She works for International Yacht Company which offers charters in Greece, Monaco, London, and several other locations worldwide. When she's not strutting the runway or tending to guests, the model is jet-setting around the world and posting photos from her trips to the Seychelles , Brazil , and Portugal .

Chef Ryan McKeown started a podcast

Chefs on "Below Deck" often have some of the most captivating personalities. Food being a huge part of a charter service, these cast members have to deliver excellent cuisine under high expectations. While many have left a great impression, many have left the boat early. One of the show's most controversial chefs is non-other than Chef Ryan McKeown of "Below Deck Down Under" Season 1. The Philadelphia native clashed with Chief Stew Aesha Scott almost immediately, and their drama came to a head while preparing for dinner service. After Scott questioned the number of motor yachts he worked on, McKeown replied, "I don't know, how many vacuums have you pushed, how many f–king frying pans did you flip? You stick to vacuums, I'll stick to cooking." Ultimately, after also undermining Captain Jason Chambers's authority, the chef was fired . On the " Another Below Deck Podcast " he revealed , "I gave up after the third charter, man. I was there for fun."

McKeown is having his own kind of fun since his time getting the boot on "Below Deck Down Under." The chef started his own podcast, " Yes Daddy " in June 2022. As of Spring 2022, the chef was living in Miami and working onboard a yacht. "I'm still employed full-time by my same employer, and he gives me a great life. I have a blast," he revealed at the time. "I'm pretty close with them. We have some fun." He also found love with his current girlfriend, artist Shannon Rose.

Tom Pearson is a professional rugby player

Deckhand Tom Pearson left quite the impression during his time aboard Parsifal III in Season 3 of "Below Deck Sailing Yacht." When he wasn't puking after a crew night out or making out with stewardess Ashley Marti, he almost ran the vessel aground. Heavy winds and Pearson's failure to alert Captain Glenn Shephard in time led to the sailing yacht keeling over as the anchor got stuck in shallow water. Shepard fired Pearson after the incident, leaving the deck team a crew member short.

"It had to be done. It was such a grievous thing that he dropped the ball there, he had to go, and we had to just be man down and live with it, you know?" Shephard admitted on " Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen ." As per the deckhand, he told SportsKeeda , "15 minutes before that, there was barely any wind. But, granted. I'm not trying to make any excuse for that...I was on watch. So it is my fault. There's no two ways about it. I should've noticed.'"

Since leaving Parsifal III, Pearson has kept himself busy playing professional rugby. The year 2023 marked the second season Pearson played for London Irish as an openside flanker. The former deckhand has had an impressive rugby career, even being a part of the BUCS Super Rugby Team of the Year during the 2019-2020 season. "The future of this crop of players is very bright and I'm excited to be a part of that," Pearson said post-signing day (per  Gallagher Premiership Rugby .)

Delaney Evans is jetsetting around the world with her boyfriend

Stewardess Delaney Evans may have come to the rescue in Season 6 of "Below Deck Mediterranean," but her time onboard was cut short. With Stewardess Lexi Wilson causing more than enough problems , Evans came on board to even out the interior department. Unfortunately for the yachtie, her arrival did less to appease her co-workers. Due to a rule the owner of the motor yacht Lady Michelle put in place, men and women were barred from sharing cabins. Since the only dorm opening was with the male chef, Evans's arrival would lead to crew members rearranging rooms. Ultimately Chief Stew Katie Flood decided it was best that her department finish the season a crew member short, and she let Evans go. "I don't wanna take it personally, but I really have no idea. I really don't know why a chief stew, any chief stew, wouldn't want the free help," Evans said in 2021.

As for what Evans is up to now, the stewardess keeps herself busy traveling the world when she isn't working on yachts. As per her Instagram bio , she splits her time between California and Hawaii. The stewardess told The Daily Dish  in 2021 that she works on a Hawaiian sport fishing boat. "But we do day charters, and we also do party charters, and it's a really good fit 'cause, you know, I get to be outside, I get to be on deck, I get to have a lot of guest engagement. I'm learning a new skill, which is fishing, which is wild."

Elizabeth Frankini is still a yachtie

Elizabeth Frankini made her debut in Season 8 of "Below Deck," and the stewardess was devastated when her time on board was cut short. The decision by Chief Stew Francesca Rubi to fire Frankini came after she felt the stewardess lacked a work ethic and didn't respect authority. "She was a huge deflector and didn't respect my position at all. She'd always talk over the top of me," Rubi admitted on the Below Deck After Show .

It didn't help that Frankini involved herself with Deckhand James Hough during the charter season, with their love affair leading to a guest cabin hookup. During the virtual reunion, the two admitted that they should have never entered the guest cabin without permission. "At the end of the day, you both made the decision to go into the guest cabin, which is like, the ultimate no on a super yacht," said Stewardess Ashling Lorger. But despite the backlash, "Below Deck" alum Kate Chastain tweeted , "I seriously can't even count how many times I've slept in a guest cabin."

After leaving behind the motor yacht My Seanna behind, the stewardess didn't say goodbye to yachting for good. As per Instagram , Frankini works with the boat company The Nauti Crew  in Fort Lauderdale. When she's not working on boats, Frankini spends her time traveling to picturesque locations. The yachtie took a trip to the Bahamas in April 2023, posting an Instagram photo with the caption, "in my new mermaid era."

Hannah Ferrier started a family

Hannah Ferrier was a "Below Deck Mediterranean" cast member for years before Sandy Yawn fired her during "Season 5." The dramatic decision came after Deckhand Malia White discovered valium in the cabin she shared with Ferrier, along with what looked to be a THC vape pen. White took photos of the items and brought the information to Yawn, who then proceeded to let Ferrier go. Yawn told The Daily Dish that her decision was based on a maritime law that any drugs used by crew members must be documented and regulated by maritime law. "If I didn't address this and something, god forbid, happened, I would be taken to jail, the boat would be incarcerated, and I would lose my license. What she has done is illegal," Yawn admitted.

Ferrier defended the items, admitting on " Watch What Happens Live " that the vape pen contained a CBD cartridge inside, not THC. "It was just really, really disappointing to me," the chief stew told The Daily Dish . "I felt like it got handled really badly." She went on to admit she felt she deserved to have a back-and-forth discussion with Yawn before being let go without a warning.

Although Ferrier was let go in a dramatic "Below Deck" conclusion, she's gone on to start a family following her yachting days. She welcomed her daughter Ava Grace with her partner Josh Roberts in 2020, and the two tied the knot in Australia in 2022. She runs her podcast " Hannah's Podcast ," which dishes on all things related to pop culture and Bravo gossip.

Chef Mila Kolomeitseva was spotted in Cannes

When it comes to the chefs on "Below Deck," there is no shortage of drama. The series has seen many chefs walk through the galley doors, oftentimes bringing with them fiery personalities and arrogance. Other times, their food service simply doesn't measure up to whatever they listed on their resume. When it came to Chef Mila Kolomeitseva, her antics on "Below Deck Mediterranean" Season 4 left viewers in shock.

Kolomeitseva caused quite a stir when her sloppy nachos and taco night cuisine led Captain Sandy Yawn to question whether it should be served to guests. "That's what the guests are eating — tacos?" Yawn asked the chef in the clip. Her skills in the kitchen were questioned again when she microwaved steak before serving it at dinner service. "I've never seen a chef put steaks into a microwave," Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier said in the clip. After two charters, Yawn fired Kolomeitseva, despite the chef asking for another chance. "As a human being, I have all the compassion in the world," Yawn said (per People .) "But as a captain, I have to let you go."

As for what the chef's up to nowadays — she keeps a low profile. As of the time of writing, Kolomeitseva does not have public social media pages. The last sighting of her was reportedly in France. A fan tweeted during "Watch What Happens Live" that she saw Kolomeitsava at a bar in Cannes. "She was just chilling there. I asked for a picture, and she got mad. LMAO," Andy Cohen read .

Chandler Brooks dated a fellow Below Deck alum

Bosun Chandler Brooks came onboard Season 6 of "Below Deck" with the intention to lead his deck team aboard My Seanna, but he was ultimately fired by Captain Lee Rosboch. Amidst mounting tensions with him and his deck team, Brooks also came under fire for sloppy details on deck. "I'm checking you, and you're missing a lot of stuff, which means you're not checking them — which is your job," Rosbach says to Brooks during Season 6 Episode 6 . The decision to let go of Brooks was made after Rosbach says the bosun was treating his deckhands unfairly, and failing to create cohesion with his crew. "It's kind of a feeling you get, you just know things are not getting better," Rosbach said .

Since leaving My Seanna, Brooks found love with a fellow "Below Deck" alumni. The bosun started dating Jamie Jason of "Below Deck Mediterranean" in 2018. Jason gushed about her boyfriend in a since-removed Instagram post in 2020 (per Us Weekly ), writing, "I know that it's only been two years, but it feels much longer than that. We have been through so much together. All our experiences have forced us to grow up and realize things about life and love that we never would have if our relationship was smooth sailing." As of the time of writing, the two yachties don't have public social media pages and it's unclear whether or not they are still together.

Peter Hunziker issued a public apology for a racist post

Peter Hunziker may not have been let go during his time as a deckhand in Season 5 of "Below Deck Mediterranean," but he was fired by Bravo network instead. Hunziker caused a bit of a stir on board The Wellington when he referred to his boss Malia White using the terms "sweetie" or "sweetheart." While he ended up making it through the season, he was edited out of the series after his racist social media post came to light. Hunziker reposted a meme in 2020 showing a naked Black woman in chains.

Bravo announced the news of his firing via Instagram, writing , "Peter Hunziker of 'Below Deck Mediterranean' has been terminated for his racist post. Bravo and 51 Minds are editing the show to minimize his appearance on subsequent episodes." The deckhand issued his own public apology via Instagram (per People .) "A little over 3 months ago someone sent me a meme on social media and I thoughtlessly reposted it," he wrote. "I now realize how painful the imagery and symbolism is and, upon deeper consideration, I realize that the implicit bias that exists in the brief text written in the meme is offensive."

Since the controversy, Hunziker has kept a low profile. As of the time of writing, the deckhand does not have any public social media pages.

Lexi Wilson blasted Below Deck producers

Lexi Wilson was quite the controversial character during her time in "Season 6" of "Below Deck Mediterranean." The stewardess caused drama throughout her time on board with her alcohol-fueled outbursts . Her tension with Chef Matthew Shea boiled over , leading him to order her out of the galley. When she wasn't fighting with Shea, she was fighting with every single other crew member, and she refused to take accountability for her arguments while drinking. After threatening to quit in front of Chief Stew Katie Flood, Captain Sandy Yawn ultimately let Wilson go .

Since her firing, Wilson had a lot to say about "Below Deck" producers following the airing of Season 6. She took to Instagram in a since-deleted post (per Decider ) saying that a conversation she had with her mother over the phone that aired was edited unfairly. She claims she was talking to her mother about a friend taking advantage of her financially, and not a crew member, which is what viewers were led to believe.

"These people are the worst in life! That episode is completely edited down and the stories are unrelated to the argument," she wrote. She went on to call out a producer in the comments, writing, "And the nerve of you to message me talking about how you treated me fairly #nadinerajabi when you allowed this to happen." As for her life post "Below Deck Mediterranean," Wilson has gone offline on social media as of the time of writing.

A Controversial Guest Returned to Below Deck and Brought *Lots* of "Drama"

"I live for guest drama but not  this  guest drama,"  Below Deck  stew Barbara Pascual exclaimed about the issues on the boat.

below deck sailing yacht season 2 fired

A familiar face popped up during Season 11, Episode 11 of  Below Deck  on April 15. Who? None other than a former charter guest named Brandon.

Who is Below Deck charter guest Brandon?

Brandon previously appeared on  Below Deck Down Under  Season 2. While aboard the  Northern Sun   vessel, he forwent the yacht's rules by jumping in the ocean at night with another guest, Kristyl. The boat blunder caused drama with Captain  Jason Chambers , who issued a stern warning to the guests to not go against his order or they would go "back to the marina."

Then, during dinner, Brandon started to rock the boat when he confronted another guest.

Brandon, more specifically, addressed Ray, the boyfriend of primary guest Carmen, to point out the "tension" he felt when coming on the boat due to a past experience between the two.

A heated conversation ensued, prompting Barbie to weigh in during a confessional interview. "I live for guest drama but not  this  guest drama," she said. "This guest drama's dark."

New stew Paris Field had a lighter take on the events at dinner, saying in an interview, "The bickering...it's comedy gold."

Back at the dinner table, another guest offered his thoughts on the matter: "Seems like this got more out of pocket than it needed to be."

Carmen, for her part, tried to bring peace, explaining, "Listen, the only way we can change is if we inform and educate."

Ultimately, things cooled down and the two men  did  make peace when Brandon returned to the table. "I want you to know I love you and I adore you," Brandon said to Ray.

"I know, and I understand where you're coming from," Ray responded.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht star Gary King breaks silence after BravoCon removal

Gary King on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4

Below Deck Sailing Yacht star Gary King has broken his silence after he was removed from BravoCon amid some serious allegations.

In August, news broke that a Below Deck Sailing Yacht production team member had accused Gary of sexual misconduct.

A month later, Gary was taken off the list of yachties attending BravoCon , an event he was a fan favorite at last year.

BravoCon takes place this weekend, with Bravoleberties taking on Las Vegas.

Ahead of the three-day event, Gary shared his first message in months that made quite a statement.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht’s Gary King breaks silence after BravoCon removal

Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Gary shared a post of him posing in a field of Daisies in South Africa. Gary has a serious look that’s a vast difference from how Below Deck Sailing Yacht viewers see him on the show.

“It’s sad that people will do anything in their power to bring you down. It’s not about how you fall but how you get up. Luckily for me the fall was into a sea of daisies 🌼,” was the caption on Gary’s IG post.

It wasn’t just the caption that alluded to the allegations against Gary. The hashtag spoke volumes about how Gary feels about being dismissed from BravoCon and the claims made.

Gary called the allegations against him a lie, told people not to believe everything they see, and called out the media. He also declared he wouldn’t do what he was being accused of doing and that Gary continues to hold his head up high.

The Below Deck Sailing Yacht star also used hashtags for the show and shared he’s moving on. Gary didn’t get into specifics of what that means.

However, there’s no question that the timing of his first social media message in months was to address his BravoCon absence.

Gary has earned support from some of his costars since the allegations broke.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht stars show support for Gary King amid scandal

The comments section of Gary’s post showed not all of his former crew members had abandoned him during this time.

Captain Glenn Shephard became very close with Gary after they filmed Season 2 of the sailing show. They work together on Parsifal III even when the cameras aren’t rolling.

The captain was one of the first to pop up with emojis that kicked off an exchange of bro love between him and Gary.

Season 4 chef Ileisha Dell also showed her love for Gary as the two had a little back-and-forth to reveal they are still friends.

Chef Ileisha replies to Gary's message

Gary King from Below Deck Sailing Yacht won’t be at BravoCon and has addressed his absence the day before the big fan event.

As Monsters and Critics previously reported, Captain Glenn, Colin MacRae, and Daisy Kelliher will all be at BravoCon. No doubt, the three of them will be asked about Gary at some point.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is currently on hiatus on Bravo. Seasons 1-4 are streaming on Peacock.

10 biggest clout chasers in below deck history.

Below Deck has created some of the most iconic reality TV personalities, but some crew members are only there to attract reality TV clout.

  • Fan-favorite captains and crew members shine on Below Deck, but clout chasers can overshadow the show.
  • Life on a super-yacht may seem glamorous, but Below Deck sheds light on the grueling side of maritime travel.
  • Casting villains and drama magnets stir the pot on Below Deck, but clout chasers looking for fame can disrupt the season.

Below Deck has introduced a plethora of fan-favorite captains and crew members, but once in a while, a few clout chasers drown out the show. Below Deck is renowned for its iconic format that follows the staff and crew who work on super-yachts. Life on a yacht seems luxurious and worldly, but Below Deck has revealed the grueling side of maritime travel . The popularity of the show has given a slew of spin-offs, while its mainstay, Below Deck season 11 began premiering in February 2024 with a mix of familiar faces.

Reality television has created some iconic stars, but it’s also created thirsty, fame-hungry clout chasers. Below Deck cast members are part of a TV series but they’re also there to do a job. It takes a strong team to manage the workload of crews on these yachts. There have been a multitude of Below Deck franchise cast villains who, like clout chasers, know how to stir up drama onboard. However, when a cast member is more interested in creating memorable TV moments and attracting some sort of fame after their run on the show, things begin to get muddled.

On the podcast, Adrienne would speak with fellow Below Deck alum and discuss the airing seasons.

Adrienne is very proud of her time on Below Deck . In her Instagram bio, she makes it known that she was on the show by writing, “ OG #chiefstew @bravotv #BelowDeck. ” Adrienne also references her job as a celebrity chef, which she took up after leaving the Bravo series. Though Adrienne was only cast as a crew member in one season of the show, it’s clear that she’s ecstatic to call herself an “ OG ” of Below Deck.

9 Hannah Ferrier

Below deck mediterranean season 1-5.

Below Deck Mediterranean season 5 would have looked different without Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier. Undoubtedly, after Hannah was fired by Captain Sandy Yawn, the season suffered. After filming Below Deck Med , Hannah jumped ship to film The Real Love Boat as the cruise director for the dating series. She was cast on The Traitors Australia season 2, one of the hottest and most anticipated reality TV shows. Though it’s been a few years since she’s been on Below Deck , Hannah has used her history on that show to expand her career as a reality TV star.

It’s safe to say that Hannah has stayed in the spotlight since appearing on Below Deck Med , and her presence isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. She hosts her podcast , Dear Reality, You’re Effed! , which per the podcast’s Instagram bio, “ delv[es] deep into the Bravo/Reality TV/celebrity world. ” On Captain Lee’s podcast, Salty With Captain Lee , Hannah said she would consider returning to Below Deck if Captain Lee or Captain Jason Chambers asked her to.

Kyle got between Natalya and Tumi before they had the chance to meet. However, Natalya continued their conflict by snapping back and getting defensive at Tumi’s requests.

Natalya and Kyle both love attention. They also fought throughout Below Deck Med season 8, and Natalya ended up resigning because of the drama. However, she returned to stir up controversy once more during the finale of the season. Though she had already quit, Natalya had to make her presence on Below Deck Med season 8 known once more. Natalya and Kyle made a perfect duo on the show due to their dramatic natures. They knew how to make great, captivating TV, and they did just that.

6 Ashton Pienaar

Below deck season 6 & 7.

Ashton Pienaar endured one of the most dangerous accidents on Below Deck season 6 when his foot got caught in a tow line. Ashton was dragged into the water, and a cameraman had to save him. He wasn’t invited back to Below Deck, but he used his time on the show to create and promote his fitness company .

5 Fraser Olender

Below deck season 8-11.

Fraser Olender is one of the leading personalities on Below Deck season 11. He’s the poster child of the latest season, and he’s been stirring drama on camera. Fraser’s conflicts with Barbie Pascual have overtaken the season , and sometimes the drama feels a little forced. Former The Real Housewife of New York star Jill Zarin slammed Fraser for his lack of leadership skills that made her trip unenjoyable. His drama with Barbie has clouded Below Deck season 11. Having dealt with a conflict in season 10, maybe Fraser knew he could garner more attention towards himself with this feud.

4 Malia White

Below deck mediterranean season 2, 5 & 6.

Malia White’s time on Below Deck Mediterranean captivated viewers. She was in a relationship with her co-star, Tom Checketts. Below Deck season 11 star Ben Willoughby was extremely unhappy with his portrayal of the season. Ben considered exposing the truth about Below Deck in a series of Instagram Stories on his page. Reddit user Teanailpolish shared screenshots of his responses to fan questions, where it was clear Ben was unhappy with his edit on the season. “ There’s too much that isn’t seen,” he wrote, adding, “I’m at a crossroads as to whether the truth needs to be told. ” Ben did say he’d join Below Deck Sailing Yacht or Below Deck Med . He might have threatened to expose production to attract clout.

2 Alex Propson

Below deck sailing yacht season 3.

Alex has done a lot of press to stay in the limelight since appearing on Below Deck Sailing Yacht . On Alex’s Instagram, he promotes the interviews he does in hopes of becoming more popular . He also joined the cast of Winter House season 3, extending his stint on Bravo. Alex seems to be a fan of himself, making him one of the biggest clout chasers to come out of Below Deck .

1 Kyle Viljoen

Kyle Viljoen joined Below Deck Med season 8 intending to stir up drama. Kyle was friends with both Natalya and Tumi. He got in both the women's ears before they met , and told them negative things about each other. When Natalya and Tumi clashed on the yacht, Kyle continued to spew gossip and heighten tensions between the women. Later in the season, Kyle clashed with Natalya once more, which ended in her leaving the season. Despite this conflict, Kyle and Natalya have since made amends, and he announced this on social media.

Kyle and Natalya knew how much attention the downfall of their friendship would garner and Kyle loved to spotlight this on social media. Ahead of the Below Deck Med season 8 finale, Kyle made another dramatic post on Instagram to commemorate his time on the show. His Instagram caption was extremely long, and Kyle thanked the network, his friends, and his family for their support. He also teased his “ next announcement ,” which felt like a promotional plug for a future project.

There have been quite a few clout chasers to appear on Below Deck . Clout chasers can diminish the value of a season as these people are typically vying for attention in outlandish ways on-camera. Whether they took the opportunity to appear on the show to accumulate followers or promote their businesses, it’s clear they enjoy the attention the Bravo series brings.

Below Deck season 11 airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo, then streams the following day on Peacock.

Ben took to Instagram on Tuesday, April 16, to discuss the latest episode, hinting at his frustration with the show.

“I once used to love Below Deck . There’s too much that isn’t seen. I’m at a crossroads as [to] whether the truth needs to be told or I don’t let this consume me anymore,” he wrote to one fan who asked about his future with the franchise.

When Ben asked about his highs and lows from season 11 , he added: “Low – not enjoying this season due to a number of factors. I never wanted to step foot on St. David again under those circumstances.”

Ben has since alluded to the rest of the season taking an unexpected turn for him.

While reflecting on the lessons he learned from his time on the show , Ben elaborated on his potential regrets, adding, “You play into a character and that character has a harder or better time than others. I’d say I wish I stopped to smell the roses more often.”

The bosun later thanked fans who offered him support, writing, “Reality TV isn’t easy by any means. I just hope that the audience can see that people are edited in a way that suits the story line. It fits an agenda to gain attention/viewing. In saying this, I wouldn’t change my experience as I’ve met so many great people along the way. It’s simply unfortunate how much is kept off air.”

Despite the upcoming drama that affected Ben, he said he would appear on spinoff shows Below Deck Sailing and Below Deck Mediterranean “in a heartbeat.” Ben recently teased to Us Weekly that his working relationship with Kerry is what changed the most throughout the season.

“Captain Kerry [has] very much of a military stance. [It is] more authority based. So that was a bit of a learning curve for me,” he admitted in March. “It doesn’t really work with the style that I like with my leadership. So we did have a little bit of friction there and you might see a little bit of that coming up.”

Below Deck: 12 Crew Members Who Should Have Been Fired But Weren't

  • There are many Below Deck franchise cast members who should have been fired but were not.
  • Ryan McKeown and Hannah Ferrier faced consequences for their behavior on Below Deck, showing that not all crew members get away with it.
  • Kate Chastain was an iconic Chief Stew known for her bold attitude, while Adrienne Gang and Mathew Shea faced challenges for their behavior on the show but were never fired.

Below Deck has featured dozens of awful crew members since 2013, only a few of whom have been let go for their actions. Kyle Dickard from Below Deck Adventure was among the worst Deckhands viewers have ever seen. Not only was he lousy, but he also kept fighting with the crew. Kyle’s dramatic personality made everyone so uncomfortable that Captain Kerry Titheradge had to take charge of the situation. He told him to resign to work on himself and improve his attitude. Kyle didn’t return to the reality TV series after his on-screen exit.

Ryan McKeown was another cast member who didn’t go too far on Below Deck . The former Chef wasn’t skilled enough to impress the guests, and he couldn’t improve himself, which resulted in the Captain firing him. Hannah Ferrier was probably the most shocking exit of the franchise. The Chief Stew had a great career on Below Deck Mediterranean and was a fan-favorite. However, she crossed the line by continually butting heads with her co-workers. Ultimately, Malia White exposed Hannah for possessing illegal drugs on board , which pushed Captain Sandy Yawn to fire her Chief Stew.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

Adrienne gang wasn't up to task, below deck season 1.

Unfortunately, not all bad crew members get their release from Below Deck . Some continue to participate in the show regardless of their behavior and actions. One such example is Adrienne Gang from Below Deck . She was part of the first season. She was the Chief Stewardess but didn’t treat her juniors right . Adrienne feuded with her Stews, Kat Held and Samantha Orme, for a long time. She continued to show an over-the-top seriousness, which turned fans off. Adrienne was disliked immensely by many. However, she was pretty good at her job, which may have saved her.

Kate Chastain Was An Enigma

Below deck seasons 2-7.

Kate Chastain was among the most iconic Chief Stews in Below Deck ’s history. She appeared in six seasons back-to-back and got popular for her bold attitude. She became iconic and did anything she wanted without worrying about the consequences. In a Reddit thread by OP wahoowayoo , fans discussed how Kate became invincible on Below Deck . A Redditor commented, “I'm only on season 5 and have seen her do 100s of things that would have gotten her fired in the real world.” According to fans, Captain Lee Rosbach should’ve fired Kate for various harassment incidents .

Raquel “Rocky” Dakota Was Unhinged

Below deck season 3.

Raquel “Rocky” Dakota from Below Deck season 3 also barely escaped ultimate embarrassment. She was close to getting a plane ticket home but somehow dodged it. Raquel was terrible at her job on the yacht and butted heads with her Chief Stew. She was also careless and hooked up with the Bosun, Eddie Lucas. According to Cheat Sheet , Captain Lee took to his famous blog, revealing he had such big hopes for Rocky, and she shattered them all. He later admitted he was “so close,” to firing her because of her various issues.

Mathew Shea Couldn't Hang In The Kitchen

Below deck med season 6.

Chefs aren’t usually in the crosshairs. Most are experienced and often get cast on the show because of their skills. However, Mathew Shea was a different case. He was one of the whiniest crew members to appear in the series. Mathew was part of Below Deck Mediterranean season 6. He was often immature and didn’t care about anything but himself. In 2021, Malia admitted that Chef Matthew refused to cook for the staff . He also started a fire once. If only Captain Sandy had been a bit stricter, she would’ve fired him on the spot.

8 Below Deck Franchise Bosuns With The Worst Attitude

Below deck med seasons 2-3.

Adam Glick from Bravo ' s Below Deck Mediterranean seasons 2 and 3 and Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 1 was also on the verge of letting go. During his debut season, the popular Chef prepared three dishes against guests’ wishes. His terrible performance was enough for Captain Sandy to consider firing him, but she didn't.

She said (via Bravo ), “want to fire Adam, but I can't find a chef mid-season in Croatia.” Later, Captain Sandy appeared on Watch What Happens Live , revealing she had no idea Adam messed up more than two times . She claimed, “so the third time I would have fired Adam.”

Rachel Hargrove Called Out Bravo

Below deck season 8-10.

Rachel Hargrove worked three seasons on Below Deck . She debuted in season 8 and remained part of the show for two years. Unlike others on the list, Rachel picked a fight with fellow Bravo star Austen Kroll . She later complained about it and didn’t get what she wanted. As a result, she called out Below Deck and Bravo on Twitter, quitting the show before she got fired. Rachel has said some wild things about the show that garnered her fame. In 2022, she took to X and tweeted, “f**k Below Deck.” Rachel was also a bad drunk and embarrassed herself.

Kyle Viljoen Caused A Ton Of Drama

Below deck med seasons 7-8.

Kyle Viljoen was one of the worst Stews to appear in Below Deck Mediterranean ’s history. He was part of seasons 7 and 8 and became known for being the series’ biggest drama queen. During his debut season, Kyle did the unthinkable by being a toxic crew member alongside his friend Natalya Scudder. In the next season, he crossed the line by betraying Natalya and causing her problems with the new Chief Stew, Tumi Mhlongo . As expected, Captain Sandy was very angry at Kyle and even gave him a warning. However, she didn't fire him.

Peter Hunziker

Below deck med season 5.

Peter Hunziker’s appearance on Below Deck was strange. He wasn’t a good Deckhand and was pretty creepy towards the ladies. However, that wasn’t why Bravo tried to erase him from the show. Instead, it was Peter’s racist social media comments that led Bravo to cut ties with him . Unfortunately, the season was already over by the time they decided to cut him off. The production company later re-edited the show to reduce Peter’s story in Below Deck Mediterranean . Peter was one of the few individuals who did get fired but not on the show.

11 Below Deck Franchise Deckhands With The Worst Attitude

Eddie lucas complained about bravo, below deck season 1-3, 8-10.

Eddie Lucas is a Below Deck original who appeared from seasons 1 to 3 and later returned to season 8 and 9. While he had a lengthy run on the series as a Deckhand, he still couldn’t make a decent bond with the network or the show people. A few years ago, Eddie made it clear he wouldn’t return to Below Deck . His lack of dynamic with Captain Lee and his overall demeanor was due to his issues with the show. He complained about Bravo and accused them. The network didn’t fire him, but they likely won’t cast him back.

Ross McHarg Did Inappropriate Things

Below deck season 10.

Ross McHarg was a self-proclaimed sex addict and showed no signs of improvement. Therefore, he was also under the firing radar during Below Deck season 10. In 2023, Captain Lee shared his disappointment in Ross for making out with Katie Glaser. He said (via Yahoo ), “seriously Ross?????” As if Ross’ tarnished image wasn’t enough, he also got into many controversies. A few months ago, RollingStone posted a story disclosing how former Bosun Ross made a female crew member uncomfortable . The article revealed, “he was just making these weird, lewd, sexual, gross comments.”

Ashton Pienaar Acted Up A Lot

Below deck season 6-7.

Bosun Ashton Pienaar failed to build a lasting impression on his crew (via Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen .) In 2020, Distractify reported that Captain Lee would never work with the former Bosun again because of his rude behavior toward senior members like Kate Chastain and other female crew. He said he wouldn’t “give him another chance,” because he didn’t feel Ashton showed sincerity or remorse for his actions . Ashton only earned a bit of sympathy from fans after he got in an accident. Despite that, he remained pretty despicable throughout his run on Below Deck .

Gary King Crossed The Line Several Times

Below deck sailing yacht seasons 2-4.

Gary King from Below Deck Sailing Yacht was in a big controversy in 2023. Apart from being part of a ridiculous season and two love triangles, he became a part of a massive sexual misconduct scandal. Below Deck ’s makeup assistant accused Gary of being inappropriate while filming. However, Bravo didn’t take major action against the man, allowing him to complete the full season and continue his journey. Gary has since apologized for the past and his actions without directly referring to the incident . However, many Below Deck v iewers still want him gone and hope the network fires him soon.

Below Deck airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo.
