Gulet Kasapoglu 5 is 28 meters long and built in 2006. She has 2 Double, 4 Triple Cabins, thereby accommodating 12 guests, all in air-conditioned cabins. Each cabin has a separate WC and shower unit.

There is a spacious cushioned seating area, dining table and dining area at the rear of the boat. There is a separate dining table in saloon and your meals are prepared in a fully equipped separate kitchen. Kasapoglu 5 Gulet has enough sunbathing mats and space for all guests. There are a TV, DVD and music system in the saloon.

There are separate cabins for the 4 crew accompanying you on your cruise. The Crew organizes all meals, cleaning, maintenance, and daily activities during the cruise. Safety and comfort of our guests is an absolute priority and the crew has been trained to ensure that. They retire to their own cabins once there are no more jobs or when you need privacy.

Kap 5 is a 28-meter traditionally designed Turkish Gulet cruising and giving yacht charter service to her guests along the South Coast of the Turkish Riviera. The gulet can comfortably accommodate up to 12 people in her 6 air-conditioned cabins. Two cabins have double beds and four cabins have twin beds with ensuite toilets and showers. Cabin facilities offer comfortable bedding, storage space, and private bathrooms.

On the rear deck of the yacht, there are cushioned lounging and dining area where you can relax while watching yachting navigate you along the Turquoise coast. The side decks of the yacht are wide and offer easy access to the back and fore. Towards the front of the gulet there, you will find another spacious dining area and seating group where you will have cheerful dinners while viewing the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean sea. In the center of the gulet, there is a slightly raised sunbathing area with comfortable sun beddings and shade tents where you will spend your day under the warm sun of the Mediterranean. Your professionally skilled friendly crew will take care of all of your needs on board. With your chef’s specialties with fresh traditional vegetables and seafood, you will have a chance to taste Mediterranean cuisine.

Fethiye Göcek region, which is one of the most popular holiday resorts in the world with its magnificent bays and fascinating virgin nature, has become a popular region in recent years. Kasapoglu 5 gulets in luxury Gulet class have 6 double cabins and 6 bathrooms in total. There is a weekly rental requirement. You can rent a minimum of 3 nights or more during the low season months of May and October. Check-in is at 14:00 on Saturday, and check-out is at 09:30 on the next Saturday morning. The full length is 30 meters and the width is 7.5 meters. There are 4 personnel, including a cook and 2 sailors. ACCOMODATION A total of 5 cabins, 2 Masters, 3 Doubles. Passenger capacity is 10 people in Turkish and foreign territorial waters. Each cabin has air conditioning, bathroom with shower cabin, household type toilet, hair dryer, bath and hand towels. In the hall; Dining table, sitting group, LCD TV, music system. Air conditioner usage time is 6-8 hours.

We offer full board accommodation for your yacht charter. You can choose between standard, luxury or deluxe menus and pay between 35 and 75 Euros per person per day.

You can supply your alcoholic beverages or you can order us.

All service is provided by boat staff.

Most of the gulets are rented on a WEEKLY basis from Saturday to Saturday, especially during high season (June-July-August-September). Smaller gulets with lower capacity can be rented for shorter periods. In May and October, which is called the Low Season, charters can be done for any period.

The time of boarding is after 3.00 pm on Saturdays and disembarkation is by 10.00 am following Saturday.

If you wish to exercise your right to cancel the reservation, the following cancellation conditions apply, depending on the date interval in between approving and canceling a charter agreement;

a) If cancellation is done 90 days prior to arrival, the deductible will be 20% of the total charter price  

b) If cancellation is done between 89 and 30 days or less prior to arrival, the deductible will be 50% of the total charter price

c) If cancellation is done 29 days or less prior to arrival, 100% of the total charter price will be required

We just returned from spending 2 weeks in Turkey (end of August, early September). One of the highlights was spending 6 nights cruising the Med with Ali, Ahmet, and the most important member of the crew, Fatima, who was our amazing cook.

Ali is the owner and a really good guy. He was happy to work out a schedule that suited us all and show us some of the things we had wanted to see. But, local knowledge is everything, and he took us to places off the beaten track that were great.

The boat was clean and all the amenities were good. We'd heard some bad stories about gullets. What we can say is that our experience with Kasapoglu was worth passing on.

Fatima's cooking was fantastic and has inspired us to try to recreate some of her amazing dishes.

The only downside was the heat at night. With the water of the Med being around 30C, and the evening temps not dropping much below mid-20's, the cabins (good size, clean, all with good ensuites) were a bit like ovens. I slept out on deck most nights, and frankly, this is one of my enduring memories.

The boats are always immaculate and in excellent working condition. The whole experience of being out at sea is just so relaxing - especially as you are waited on hand and foot and served delicious food! - and the scenery stunning. And Ali is a lovely guy! Did you charter the whole vessel - or was it a cabin charter?

Hi, yep, we chartered the whole vessel. We expected a couple more people to join us who in the end couldn't make it. So for of us it was very uncrowded

I read about you experience with Ksopoglu. We were thinking about a trip with them after, similarly, being a bit put off by stories from some cheaper gulets. Interesting that it was still hot in the beginning of September - we might push back another couple of weeks. But I was interested in the amount of time you spent under sail as I am a keen sailor. I suppose it might depend on how how much help they can muster but I'm sure they'd be keen on saving the diesel if the wind was in the right direction.

Yes, we had a great time. We spent zero time under sail. We saw hundreds of gullets all over the area over the course of the week we were there and not a single one was every sailing. Ali is a local, born in the area and knows it like the back of is hand, so you can kind of work ut an itinerary with him that suits. But, I would suggest that getting around will always be by diesel.

Most gulets don't carry very much sail and the winds throughout a lot of the season are very light along some parts of the coast, so you'd never get anywhere if you didn't motor.

I'm not partial to motor over sail, but it's a very relaxing way of spending a holiday and there's always something to do - fish, read, sunbathe, etc.

I used to spend regular holidays on one of the Kasapoĝlu's gulets and we probably raised the sails about twice - the strongest winds we ever experienced always occurred when going upwind and we could have tacked all day and got nowhere!

As has been said, Ali Kasapoĝlu is very experienced, his crews are always good and the food is excellent. It's certainly a holiday you'll never forget.

Hi Springfree - thanks for sharing your experiences with everyone. Can I ask where you chartered the gulet from (Gocek?), the approximate cost and number of people aboard? Did you arrange it while on holiday or through a website? Which places did you visit? Sorry to ask so many questions but It's something I'd like to do in the next year or two - it sounds wonderful!

That sounds more like it ! ! I think that L2R has asked all the questions. My only extra question :- is this boat rigged for full sail ?

We too have just returned from a week - on Kasapoglu 5. Had a fantastic time - weather included. September/ October would have to be the best time of year, wouldn't it? Not too hot but the water temperature at it's best (around 27/ 29 degrees)

We moved around Ali's base - Ucagiz.. This in an amazing area something in every bay yet nothing the same.

These guilets are not made for sailing. I think they can only sling up what I would call a headsail between the masts. In other parts of the world these sort of boats unfurl their headsail for effect and a bit of stability but I only saw this once on a another guilet in our week. Only rarely did we motor for much more than an hour at a time so it's not really worth setting sails.

Anyway - most highly recommended.
