Cyberpunk 2077: How to Get the Fastest Car for Free (Rayfield Caliburn)
This guide details exactly how players can obtain Cyberpunk 2077's fastest car, the Rayfield Caliburn, at absolutely no cost.
Updated October 17, 2023, by Christopher Norman Worcester: With the recent release of the Phantom Liberty and 2.0 updates, Cyberpunk 2077 underwent several massive changes. It is important to Game Rant that players have the most up-to-date information available. To that end, this update will explain any changes made to this topic with the recent updates, and add a video for clarification on the location of the free Rayfield Caliburn.
Players that are interested in maximizing their speed in Cyberpunk 2077 need look no further than the Rayfield Caliburn. Indeed, this powerful vehicle is capable of going extremely fast, and fans that exercise a bit of patience can obtain it without spending a single dime. For those players that want to tear through Night City while also saving their eddies, this guide will detail how to get the fastest car in Cyberpunk 2077 for free.
How to Get the Free Rayfield Caliburn in Cyberpunk 2077
It has been confirmed that the Rayfield Caliburn is still available for free after the Phantom Liberty/ 2.0 update. Nothing appears to have changed in the process of acquring it.
To begin, players will need to complete Ghost Town, a main mission in Cyberpunk 2077 , before they can get their hands on the free Rayfield Caliburn. This mission comes during the game's second act, and fans that are have their eyes on the vehicle are advised to wait a few in-game days after they have finished it. Doing this should trigger the appearance of the free car, and players will be able to pick it up at their convenience after following these instructions.
RELATED: Cyberpunk 2077: All Iconic Weapons (And How to Get Them)
With respect to exactly where players should go to collect their Rayfield Caliburn, it is located inside of a shipping container in the Badlands. This container can be found in a tunnel that serves as the site for some of the Nomad missions in Cyberpunk 2077 , and there is a fast travel point just to its southeast. For full clarity, here is a map that highlights the precise position of the entrance to the tunnel that leads to the free Rayfield Caliburn:
Upon locating and entering the car, Cyberpunk 2077 players will receive notification that a new vehicle has been acquired, and indeed the Rayfield Caliburn will now appear in their garages. This makes it possible to quickly summon the car, and that is done by simply holding down the "Call Vehicle" input and selecting the Rayfield Caliburn. While some players may be a bit disappointed that this process for calling a car does not take advantage of an in-game garage, others may appreciate just how easy it is to instantly gain access to their vehicles.
To note, while the Rayfield Caliburn may be the fastest car in Cyberpunk 2077 , it is not the only vehicle that is worth obtaining. The Yaiba Kusanagi CT-3X bike, for instance, is also extremely fast, and players that like motorcycles may actually may prefer it to the Caliburn. This bike can be purchased from a fixer in Westbrook for a total of 22,000 eddies, and fans can make that money in Cyberpunk 2077 in a variety of different ways.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions coming in 2021.

Ghost Town Choices and Best Choice
Deal with nash or don't deal with nash, best choice.
Even if playing as a female character, dealing with Nash seems to be the better choice because you can get some extra loot and exp from the shootout. Rogue's response seems to have no affect on future quests so there's really no reason not to do it.
Taking on Nash and his army can be overwhelming, but it can be pulled off. Kill your way to the stairs until you reach Nash in his office. It is recommended to use a powerful shotgun or strong melee weapon to take him down quickly.
Use Widow Maker
After killing Nash, more enemies will surround you from below. You can use Nash's Widow Maker precision rifle to pick off enemies one by one. Panam can guard the stairs but still keep an eye on it for anyone that get pasts her.
Take Out the NetRunners
There are two NetRunners in the fight with Nash that can cause you trouble with their Overheat ability that sets you on fire. Try to find them and take them out as soon as you can.
How to Get the Free Rayfield Caliburn
After this Main Job, you can go back to where you fought Nash and the others to find a Rayfield Caliburn . Drive back to the tunnel until you reach the area where Nash's corpse was then go a little further to the south until you find the wheels.
You'll eventually find the Caliburn in the tunnel along with some items. It's probably Nash's or Nash stole it from someone else but who cares. Enter the car and it will automatically register as one of your vehicles.

Every Free Vehicle in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 and Phantom Liberty
Cyberpunk 2077 's Night City is a city of cars. Vehicles ply its roads and its public transit system is little more than an unobtrusive form of fast travel. V can also fill their garage with a nearly unlimited number of vehicles across multiple models and categories. Luckily for the frugal mercenary, you can get a good number of those vehicles for absolutely free, and this guide covering all the Cyberpunk 2077 free vehicles will tell you what they are and how to get them. We've also included the vehicles added for the recent 2.0 update as well as the Phantom Liberty expansion.
For your convenience, we've arranged our list of vehicles based on type. Some vehicles are given to you automatically as part of the story. Others are rewards for quests. Still others are just sitting in a hidden corner of the city, waiting for you you step into them. This list will also include where to pick up the vehicle and how to earn it.
For those who'd like to spend money on their rides, check out this guide to picking up cars from El Capitan's AutoFixer website . AutoFixer will also host cars sold by Fixers (i.e. the pre-2.0 messages you could receive).
Cyberpunk 2077 Free Vehicles: Economy and Executive Cars
V's Archer Hella EC-D i360
This Archer Hella EC-D i360 is your first vehicle and your main ride for Act 1 of the story. It's yours when you first gain control of the game during "The Rescue", your tutorial gig with Jackie.
Notably, V's Hella is actually unique. It's got a cute little dashboard bulldog bobblehead, a custom sticker, and it's got slightly better stats than a stock Hella.
Unfortunately, at the beginning of Act 2, you'll temporarily lose access to V's Hella, as part of the prologue to the quest "Tune Up". Following that quest's completion, the Hella will return to V's garage after a few in-game days.
Thorton Galena GA40XT "Rattler"
This hatchback is a true beater, and that's not surprising - It's the default vehicle V drives if you choose the Nomad lifepath. Choosing to be a Nomad V is the only way to get this car. You lose it after the prologue, but can get it back in Act 2, after following a story quest into the Badlands and triggering the side gig "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'".
The gig will lead you to Medeski Fuel Station in the badlands, near the Night City Landfill. There you'll face a choice, as the car has a new owner. You can threaten or pay the new owner off to receive the car, or choose to give it up for good.
Frankly speaking, outside of potential sentimental value, this Rattler is almost exactly the same as a stock version of the Galena, and isn't particularly notable on its own.
Delamain No. 21 Taxi
A famous Delamain taxi cab will be yours to drive after finishing the somewhat long quest chain starting with "Tune Up", which leads to seven installments of the "Epistrophy" mission, and finally, "Don't Lose Your Mind". Completing it will award you with a Delamain cab of your own. Your choices during the mission, though, will determine the cab's onboard AI personality.
You'll still have to do the driving, though.
Villefort Alvarado "Vato"
This might be the most elaborately decorated car in the game, but you'll need to put up your fists if you want to win it. The "Vato" is a one-of-a-kind customized car belonging to Cesar, your opponent in the quest "Beat on the Brat: The Glen."
Cesar will give you the opportunity to win the Vato by betting his car on your fight. Beat him, and you'll receive the opportunity to take the car and his money. You can choose to leave the money and keep the car, or take both. For either option, the Vato will be added to your garage automatically.
Note that the fight against Cesar can be tough at low levels or if you're not specced for unarmed melee combat. Consult our revamped build guide for some ideas on how to upgrade V for ultimate boxing victory.
Cyberpunk 2077 Free Vehicles: Sport, Muscle, and Hypercars
Rayfield Caliburn "Murkmobile"
The Rayfield Caliburn is hands-down the fastest single car in Cyberpunk 2077 . Best of all, you can get one for free. You'll need to have finished the "Ghost Town" mission and achieved at least level 40 on your Street Cred.
When you've achieved the prerequisites, visit a tunnel just south of the Raffen Shiv hideout area from "Ghost Town". There you'll trigger an unmarked quest called "Murk Man". Inside the tunnel, you'll see a shipping container holding some loot, a datapad entry, and a black Rayfield Caliburns. The vehicle will be added to your garage as soon as you board it. This free version is black instead of white.
Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech
This is the model car from the initial trailers and promotional art for Cyberpunk 2077 , and features the telltale four-line tail lights. If you want one of your own, you'll want to head down to The Glen in Heywood and take on the "Gig: Life's Work" quest. That gig involves recovering someone else's car and driving it back to them.
A few days after you complete it, you'll get a second assignment: "Sex on Wheels". Complete that one to add the Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech to your garage.
Porsche 911 Turbo II 930
This iconic sports car is the personal ride of one Johnny Silverhand, and it's the only free Cyberpunk 2077 vehicle that exists in the real world. It can be yours for completing the mission "Chippin' In".
You'll be given a choice to kill or spare an NPC during the quest. Choose the dialog option "Got lucky today," to spare their life, and you'll receive a key card that unlocks the shipping container containing the car. You can also kill them and take the key from his body, though you'll have to find the container that contains the vehicle yourself.
Archer Quartz "Bandit"
This customized version of the Archer Quartz sports car was introduced in a piece of free DLC added for Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.3. You can get it for free during the "Ghost Town" gig. Late into that mission, your partner Panam Palmer will ask for your help getting some payback. If you refuse to help her, you'll gain the approval of your Fixer, Rogue. Rogue will appreciate your professionalism and reward you with the car.
You can still obtain the car if you do choose to help Panam, though. The Badlands Fixer Datoka Smith will offer you the car for sale several in-game days after completing "Ghost Town". The car also has an AutoFixer entry, allowing a direct purchase.
Quadra Type-66 640 TS
This standard model Type-66 painted in a unique green shade is a reward from City Center Fixer Dino Dinovic. He'll give it to you once you finish all of his available gigs, which triggers a mini-quest called "Gas Gas Gas" that awards you the car.
Quadra Type-66 "Cthulhu"
This customized race version of the Quadra Type-66 muscle car belongs to Peter Sampson, your opponent in Night City's death racing circuit. You'll race against him during the mission "The Beast in Me".
In order to obtain the car for free, you'll have to conduct yourself a certain way during the mission, particularly around Claire, your partner for the race. Be professional, focus on the race, and favor mercy over vengeance. This should ensure that Sampson survives the deadly race. Several days after this, you should receive a text message from Sampson stating that he's giving his car to you.
Should the mission end any other way, you'll still be able to purchase the car via AutoFixer.
Quadra Type-66 "Hoon"
This Nomad-customized version of the Type-66 is the first free weaponized vehicle in Cyberpunk 2077 , and you can get it from a surprise quest in Northside.
Check out our full guide to the "I'm In Love With My Car" quest at this link .
Mizutani Shion "Coyote"
You can obtain this Nomad-customized sports car without making a purchase, but earning it will prove that there are other ways to pay than in money.
You'll get it by essentially abandoning Panam before the mission "With A Little Help From My Friends," and tattling to Saul about her plans.
Note: Doing this will permanently lock you out of the rest of Panam's side quests, and ultimately, one of the possible endings for the game. Think carefully before taking this path!
Saul, however, will be grateful, and leave the vehicle for you at the Sunset Motel in the Badlands.
You can get a similar model of the Coyote - albeit in a different color - from the AutoFixer website.
Quadra Sport R-7 "Charon", "Sterling" and "Vigilante"
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty introduces a new Quadra muscle car to the mix to compete with the Type-66: The Quadra Sport R-7. The expansion contains no less than three unique variants of the Sport R-7 for you to acquire, and you can get two of them from missions. I've grouped them below.
The "Charon" is a reward from the Dogtown side gig "Moving Heat". You'll receive the job after being contacted by the netrunner Ashlay, offering you "Free Wheels". The gig involves infiltrating a Barghest-controlled facility beneath the Dogtown stadium, near the EBM Petrochem Station fast travel point. You'll have to steal the Charon out of the Barghest facility, but it'll be yours to keep once you get out.
The "Sterling" version of the Sport R-7 is a reward for completing all the gigs offered by Fixer Mr. Hands in Dogtown.
The "Vigilante" model of the Sport R-7 is a pre-order bonus for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty . It'll be awarded to V upon entering Act 2, where you'll receive a text and access to the vehicle. For those that didn't pre-order, it can be purchased from the Autofixer page.
Herrera Outlaw "Weiler"
A basic grey/silver version of the Herrera Outlaw is available from the Autofixer website, however the custom black "Weiler" can be obtained for free. Once you do a handful of car return jobs for Muamar, he will call the player to offer the side job Baby Let Me Take You. Upon completion of this job, the Weiler will be awarded for free.
Cyberpunk 2077 Free Vehicles: Motorcycles and Trucks
Jackie's Nazare ARCH
This customized motorcycle belongs to your buddy Jackie Welles, and he rides it throughout Act 1. Following Act 1, you'll receive the bike.
There are actually two versions of this bike, but one is exclusive to a Nomad Lifepath V. A Nomad V with at least 6 points in Technical Aptitude will unlock a unique dialog option during "The Pickup" main job, allowing V to suggest a few things Jackie can do to improve his ride.
When you receive the bike in Act 2, the improvements will be visible compared to a standard ARCH bike.
Nazare ARCH "Itsumade"
This customized Tyger Claws version of the ARCH motorcycle is the end reward of the unmarked quest "The Highwayman". You can trigger the quest by visiting a garage in Rancho Coronado East. From there you'll have to follow the clues to track down a missing couple.
However, if you just want the vehicle, you can actually skip the quest and go straight to the bike, which is in a locked garage near the All Foods plant in Northside. Enter the garage by inputting "0214" on its keypad.
Nazare ARCH "Malina Mobile"
A third customized Nazare ARCH can be yours depending on your choices during the Phantom Liberty side gig "Dazed and Confused". As it progresses, you'll have a choice of possible resolutions involving the NPC Lina Malina. Your choice will determine your reward: A unique piece of clothing for V (if you have a female body type), the iconic baseball bat "Baby Boomer", or the bike. Choose dialog options allowing you to have Lina "tell him he's your sister", and after the quest concludes and a few text conversations, Lina will reveal that she's left you a present outside the brainporium. It's the bike.
Scorpion's Brennan Apollo
This customized version of the Brennan Apollo bike belongs to Scorpion, a member of the Aldecaldos Nomad clan. You'll receive it from Panam as a reward from the quest "Life During Wartime".
Thorton Colby Butte CX410 "Grand Butte"
This tough little utility vehicle is available for free from the Desert Film Set area of the Badlands. The quest isn't marked on the map until you approach the zone, which is near the Jeff's Dirt Track and Rocky Ridge. This free version of the Colby Butte is orange in color instead of green.
Approaching the scene will kick off the mini-quest "Dressed to Kill". The quest will complete once you claim the car, and it'll be added to your garage.
Thorton Mackinaw "Beast", "Saguaro", and "Demiurge"
Three variants of Thorton's large pickup truck are available for the taking. One is a mission reward, another is a Fixer reward, and the third is the end result of a long-percolating easter egg.
The Beast version of the Mackinaw is given to you automatically at the conclusion of the "The Beast in Me" side quest chain. You can also obtain the Quadra Type-66 "Cthulhu" variant during the same quest, so scroll up for some tips on acquiring that vehicle too.
The Saguaro variant of the Mackinaw is used by the Nomads, and you can get your own from Fixer Dakota Smith, who gives you one for completing all of her gigs.
The Demiurge is a Mackinaw that's been modified into a monster truck. You can get it by following a rather complex quest that avid Cyberpunk 2077 players have been chasing for more than a year, the so-called "FF:06:B5" easter egg.
The entirely unmarked side quest is a pretty convoluted one, and involves playing a Johnny Silverhand-themed Doom -like shooter on a hidden laptop at 04:00 AM, among other steps. Some users have reported that a player only interested in obtaining the vehicle can simply stand idle on a specific mattress out in the middle of the desert between 04:00 AM and 05:00 AM. V will experience a scripted coughing fit, black out, and then wake up with the unlocked Demiurge in front of them.
For more details on the full FF:06:B5 easter egg quest and the Demiurge monster truck, refer to this video by YouTuber Little Danny B .
Tanishi T400 Truck
This compact, tractor-like truck is exclusive to Phantom Liberty and given to you shortly after you arrive in Dogtown at the start of the mission . You'll receive it from Fixer Mr. Hands, who will reward you if you did any gigs for him before beginning Phantom Liberty .
Since Mr. Hands is also the fixer for Pacifica (the district Dogtown was originally part of), there's a good chance you'll have worked for him at least once while visiting the area. If not, head off to a gig and clear it before entering Dogtown.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The Phantom Liberty expansion and version 2.0 update are available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Check out RPG Site 's official review and our full slate of available guides .

How to get the Rayfield Caliburn for free - Cyberpunk 2077
Find out where to obtain one of the fastest cars in the game for the low, low price of free.
Known for its impressive horsepower and smooth handling, the Rayfield Caliburn is one of the fastest cars in Cyberpunk 2077. It’s also one of the most expensive, but that’s no matter, because there is a way to get the Rayfield Caliburn car for free, a method that is still available following Update 2.0. This guide will explain what to do and where to go to find the Rayfield Caliburn and add it to your vehicle list for free.
Rayfield Caliburn location
To get the Rayfield Caliburn for free, simply follow these steps:
- Complete the Ghost Town main gig
- Wait at least two days, maybe more
- Return to the cave in the Badlands
- Enter the cave and follow the path
- Find the Rayfield Caliburn in a shipping container
The first step toward getting the Rayfield Caliburn is to complete the “Ghost Town” main gig. This mission involves helping Panam Palmer with Nash. The Caliburn is located in the cave that you go to during the quest, but you may not be able to find the car just yet.
After completing Ghost Town, wait at least two days in-game. You can skip time if you wish to speed things up. After a couple days have passed, head back to the cave. The closest fast travel terminal is the Sunset Motel. We’ve marked the cave location on the map image above. You will also want to reach a Street Cred level of at least 40, as this may impact whether or not the container appears in the cave.
Once you reach the cave, head inside and follow the path deeper into the dimly lit tunnel. After sprinting into the tunnel for about 30 seconds, keep an eye out for a shipping container off to the left, illuminated by a lamp. Move around to the side where the light is shining, and you should find a jet black Rayfield Caliburn, along with a data shard and some other items.
Entering the shipping container should trigger a side job titled “Murk Man Returns Again Once More Forever,” a cheeky reference to Batman. The quest didn’t pop for us when we went to get the Caliburn, but we were still able to claim the car regardless. The Rayfield Caliburn should be yours for the taking, so get inside and drive it out of the cave and it will be added to your list of owned vehicles.
If for whatever reason this method does not work, you always have the option to buy a Rayfield Caliburn from an Autofixer terminal, where it sells for $135,000 Eurodollars. If you’re looking for more free vehicles, be sure to add the weaponized Type-66 Hoon to your collection as well. For more gameplay tips, head over to our Cyberpunk 2077 strategy guide .

How to get all FREE Vehicles in Cyberpunk 2077 (Guide and Locations)
This guide will show you where and how to get FREE vehicles in Cyberpunk 2077. It also explains the driving gameplay and mechanics in details.
There are a lot of cars and bikes available in the game, but few can remain yours and be available anywhere and any time when you call them, even fewer you can have without spending a lot of money to purchase them! But first, let’s start with the basics!
Please note that to describe how, where and when you can get these vehicles, I have to mention some missions and locations from the game. I consider these very minor spoilers, but it’s fair to warn you.
Table of contents
Driving in night city as a core gameplay mechanic, borrowed cars cannot be called later, driving modes and camera positions, vehicles give you access to your stash, should you drive car or bike in night city, lightning effects and beam lights, hella ec-d 1360 – v’s first car in night city, jackie’s arch (motorcycle), jackie’s tuned arch (motorcycle), apollo “scorpion” (motorcycle), nazare “itsumade” (motorcycle), rayfield caliburn (hypercar), mackinaw “beast”, quadra type-66 “cthulhu”, johnny silverhand’s porsche 911 ii (930) turbo, quadra turbo-r v-tech – v’s iconic car from the trailers, colby cx410 butte, thorton galena ga40xt “rattler”, delamain no. 21, villefort alvarado “vato”.
Every fixer and dealer in Night City will often message or call you about a new deal they want to offer you about the best car or motorcycle their client is selling.
The thing is these are very expensive, especially if you are still early on in your Cyberpunk 2077 progression. You do have to take care of your gear as well – new Cyberware is also expensive, especially if you are going for Legendary quality.
You don’t have to pay for vehicles. There are a number of fantastic cars and bikes that you can get for free! And by free I mean without paying Eurodollars or Eddies.
Some of the coolest cars come as reward for completing a side job and a smaller number are available for you to just go and claim them in their specific location.
In this guide I will show you as many of the best looking and performing cars and bikes in Cyberpunk 2077 that you can get for free and relatively early on in your progression.
How driving works in Cyberpunk 2077
Before we get to the list, locations and instructions on how to get the free cars and bikes in Night City and the surrounding area, I’d like to offer you a quick overview of the driving mechanics in Cyberpunk 2077!
Driving in Cyberpunk 2077 is a core mechanic of the gameplay. There are Fast Travel spots all around the city covering literally the entire map from one corner to the other, but driving is what will allow you to truly experience and witness the full potential of this game!
You will always have something to drive, with possibly a short period of time in the very beginning of the game, when your own car is “totaled” as Johnny Silverhand tells you, but you will get it repaired and back to you soon.
If you don’t own a car or fancy driving something “borrowed”, you can easily assault someone else’s car and drag them out of it, then sit in and drive away. This mechanic is known to the general public from older games such as the Mafia and GTA series.
When you “borrow” someone else’s car, you can drive it, but you will not be able to add it to your own collection and call it whenever you please.
Calling your car or bike – that’s how you spawn your vehicle in Cyberpunk 2077. Press the shortcut button (V on PC) and the car will arrive to you in a few seconds using autopilot.
While driving there are three camera positions you can choose from and a few settings for height and distance you can tweak in the main menu. The three general positions are:
Camera inside the car – best immersion, but very hard to drive with keyboard and a mouse unless you are experienced with that from other games
Camera outside the car and far from the hood – my preferred camera position and the one I recommend you to try and get used to as well. Allows perfect vision all around you and gives you a better control over the vehicle.
Camera outside the car, close to the hood – great to make you feel the speed, but not very comfort in terms of viewing angles
Based on the vehicle model and type it may be on the back or on the front, but every car in Cyberpunk 2077 gives you access to your Stash!
The Stash is a safe place where you can store items and they will not be lost. It’s better to keep them in the Stash rather than carrying them around with you all the time.
Note that this is a different stash from the one in your apartment. It is, however, shared between all of your cars.
You will often be overloaded with all the trash and loot you get while playing, so use the Stashes in your apartment and vehicles to unload some precious items you don’t want to sell or deconstruct.
Between driving a car and a motorcycle, the choice is yours. There are plenty of both free and paid models you can choose from. There is one major difference – cars in Cyberpunk 2077 seem to be nearly indestructable. Bikes are easier to fly off from in an incident.
There are no consequences from causing an incident or crashing your car constantly. It will take a very very long time and some serious efforts on your part before you manage to completely break a vehicle. Even if you do so, step away a few meters and call it again, a new “copy” of it will arrive and you will be able to test your excellent driving skills again!
I wrote a preview of the Vehicles of Night City based on an episode of Night City Wire some time ago. Check it out if you want to get some more details and lore information about the different brands, models and variations of cars, trucks, bikes and everything else that you can drive in the game!
Each vehicle you drive in Cyberpunk 2077 has three different lightning modes – completely turned off, a mode which I would call “day lights” and the final one is with all beams on and on max.
You cannot customize the cars and bikes you own and drive, but CD Projekt Red has gone the extra mile to put these little details. And having your lights on during night time is really a breathtaking moment!
You an also honk. Sadly, the drivers in Night City are just as dull and annoying as you would expect and almost nobody will ever make way for you to pass them by if you blow the horn. It’s still fun to hear the many different types of horn sounds for each different type of vehicle. Test them!
FREE cars and motorcycles Cyberpunk 2077
The best part of this guide! Finally, eh? There are a small, but more than enough number of vehicles you can get for free. Some times they will be a reward for a mission and other times you can just go to the location where the car is, pick it up and it becomes yours!
The Hella EC-D 1360 model is the first car V will drive in Night City. It is nothing special in terms of visuals or speed, but is sturdy, stable and will get you from point A to point B for sure.
Shortly after you star the story, this car will get wrecked and go into a shop to be repaired as part of the “Human Nature” mission. I know I said cars are nearly indestructible in the game, but this is a scripted story moment :)))
During the short period in which you have no car, you can look around for one of the other vehicles in this guide. Some of them have no level or story requirements and you can pick them up just like that.
The car is an Archer and is quite old. This model has been in production between 2023 (the year of the Nuke as it is known in the Cyberpunk universe) and 2038. It has 225 HP.
This is most likely the first free motorcycle you will get in Cyberpunk 2077.
After Jackie gets “flatlined” as a part of the main storyline (it’s inevitable, in case you are wondering), you will inherit his bike. At the end of the main story mission “The Heist”, select the option to return Jackie’s body to his family. After that call Mama Welles. This will spawn a side job called “Heroes”.
When you go to the garage to pick up Jackie’s things for the memorial organized by his mother, you will see the bike sitting there. Select the book “For Whom the Bell Tolls” to bring to Jackie’s memorial and insist that Misty should come as well.
At the end of the mission, you will get that bike for free. I honestly don’t know if you can turn it down. I played through this mission three times so far and never rejected it. It’s that cool!
To get the bike you do not have to talk to everyone else around as the Optional indicators tell you, but you will miss some additional lore info if you don’t.
Based on how you pace your story, you can get this bike way before your car is actually repaired and ready for you to pick it up.
Interesting fact is that the Arch brand is actually inspired by Keanu Reeves’ own real-life motorcycles company . He talked about his involvement in the creation of the Arch bikes for the game in one of the Night City Wire episodes before the game was released.
This particular bike’s model is a very recent design – from 2075 to 2077. It has 170 HP.
If during the main job “The Pickup” you have 6+ in Technical Attribute, you can tell Jackie “I’d swap out that tailpipe if I were you”. This will later grant you the “Jackie’s Tuned Arch” version of his bike.
This option is only available if you play as a Nomad Lifepath . It pops up during the dialogue you have with Jackie at the entrance to the All Foods factory, before you enter and meet with the Malestrom gang.
Thanks to LetsPlayNintendoITA this information.
Looking for a bike that will hold its ground on the dirt roads in the Badlands? The Aldecaldos’ very own Apollo “Scorpion” model is here for you!
Getting this bike is a result of a mission completion and you can do it very early on in the game if you like the model. Nothing from the story or the various endings will suffer from that, rest asured.
Complete the main story mission “Ghost Town” which starts from the Afterlife club and involves Rogue. Later you meet Panam for the first time as well.
After “Ghost Town” you take on another main story mission with Panam, called “Lightning_Breaks”. The next main mission will follow right away, and is called “Life During Wartime”. At the end of this mission, you will get the bike as a reward.
The Apollo “Scorpion” bike is a design from Brennan, made and sold between 2052 and 2066. It has 94 HP.
This one is available as a reward from a mission that is not listed anywhere, called “The Highwayman”. You have to do some serious digging and visit several locations not marked on the map for you to get it.
To start the side job, you have to head to the southern part of Santo Dimongo, RanchoCoronado:
Facing north-west you will find a garage door. Open it and inspect the bike inside. Then check out the nearby computer to find a photo of Jamie and Josie. This starts the mission “The Highwayman” for you.
Next, in west Japantown, near the bridge, you will find James, sitting on a bench. Talk to him.
After that head to the Metro: The Glen North fast travel point.
Josie’s body is in a small alley next to a vending machine, a little to the east from the Fast Travel point. Scan the sidewalk to find the blood stain in front of the vending machine. In the alley, behind the dumpster, scan Josie’s dead body and pick up the note next to her. Go back to James to confront him about what happened.
Finally, head to the All Foods Plant in Northside, Watson – the same place you visited with Jackie in the very early game. When you arrive at the Fast Travel point, head north-west. The garage with the bike is very close, on the other side of the crossroads. Look for the drawings of the horse on the facade of the “green” building.
To open the door type in “0214”. The bike will be added to your collection as soon as you open that door.
It’s a new model rear-wheel-drive Arch model packing under its hood 170 HP.
Thanks to LetsPlayNintendoITA for pointing me to the source for obtaining this bike – pcinvasion.com .
The car from the future! Surprisingly the year 2077 and the Dark Future do not mean flying cars are the normal thing to drive. Classic four-tiers vehicles are still the most preferred for driving. It doesn’t mean that technology hasn’t made a giant leap forward though!
Enter the Caliburn! This vehicle belongs to the most elite and expensive category of cars in Cyberpunk 2077 – the Hypercars .
Fully bulletproof and incredibly luxurious on the inside, this thing doesn’t look much like the cars we drive today.
Luckily for you this is a car you can go snatch completely for free and without doing a mission to get it. Well, sort of. It becomes available after you complete the early-game main story mission “Ghost Town”. The car itself is not related to the mission. Wait a few days after you are done with the mission (in-game days that is) and go to this location ain the Badlands on the map:
The car is sitting in a garage in the middle of a long dark tunnel. There’s nothing special about it. No enemies to fight on the way, no doors to unlock or break. Just go there, sit in the car, drive it out of the garage and it will bind to you and appear in your list.
The car is designed by Rayfield and is a model from 2070. It’s an all-wheel drive and has the impressive 1660 HP. Hower, this vehicle is not very suitable for the off-roads and you are better off driving it on the streets of Night City and not in the Badlands. Not that you can’t, it just isn’t as much fun.
This large truck is called Beast for a reason! It’s Claire’s car and you get it for free if you go through four races – three in Night City and one in the Badlands. There’s catch, though!
You meet Clair first in the Afterlife bar, she’s a waitress there, but she has a very different passion than serving drinks. Cars. Races! Claire actually owns a car repair shop.
Following the side job development for Claire, you will get the mission “The Beast in Me”. It’s a mission that governs four other sub-missions. Each one of them is about winning a race.
Here comes the spoiler, but if you want the truck, you’ll have to spoil that for yourself!
In the fourth race – the big race – you will have to sacrifice your win and follow Samson as he splits from the race track. You will lose the race and ~4000 Eddies, but Claire will be thankful that you helped her and will give you the Beast as a gift.
The Beast is made by Thorton and is quite an old model, actually – from way back in 2049. It packs 560 HP and is, of course, an all-wheel drive. It handles very rough and jumps like crazy, but is a lot of fun to drive out in the Badlands.
This exotic Quadra car is driven by Samson. It is a reward from the same side job “The Beast in Me”. In the final race, instead of following Claire’s desire for revenge, choose to win the race.
Choose the option “My priority is winning” after the Santo Domingo Race is over when you talk to her. This will open up the opportunity for you to get both cars – the Quadra Type-66 “Cthulhu” and the Mackinaw “Beast”.
Thanks to LetsPlayNintendoITA for pointing out this option in the comments under this guide! Another vehicle added to the collection thanks to that!
The gem from our real lives lives in Cyberpunk 2077 as well! The legendary Porsche 911 II (930) Turbo that Johnny Silverhand drove in the beginning of the 21st Century is available and in fantastic condition in 2077!
This car is rewarded to you during the “Chippin’ In” side job. During the course of that mission you will obtain a bunch of other iconic items that originally belonged to the legendary rockerboy rebel.
I have a full in-depth guide and walkthrough on How to get Johnny Silverhand’s Car, Jacket and Gun in Cyberpunk 2077
This car is actually made in 2077 in the real life and in 2077 it celebrates its 100 years! Classics never die, eh? The Porsche 911 II (930) Turbo has 296 HP and is a real-wheel drive.
Prior to the release of the game we saw V driving and posing in and around the Turbo-R V-Tech model from manufacturer Quadra so many times that many of us (me included) thought we’d get this for free by default in the start of the game. Nop.
There are several models of the Quadra, but the exact match to the one from the gameplay and trailers of the game from the pre-release marketing is this exact model – Turbo-R V-Tech.
You can get this car by doing the Gig: Life’s Work and then completing the side job “Sex on the Wheels”. I have a full guide on How to get the Quadra Turbo-R Car in Cyberpunk 2077 . You can do these relatively early in the game, but some stealth might be enforced on you as the gig job includes high level enemies you need to get through.
This model is from 2058. It’s a rear-wheel drive and has 740 HP. Stable, sturdy and fast, it drives well on all kinds of surfaces.
Another free vehicle waiting for you to just go and pick it up. To get this truck you need to have completed the “Ghost Town” main story mission. The vehicle has no relation with the mission at all, it just doesn’t spawn at the location if you have not completed it yet.
The Colby CX410 Butte will be waiting for you in the Badlands, north-east from the Rocky Ridge Fast Travel Point and right next to the Desert Film Set Fast Travel Point.
Reports from Reddit and Steam forums suggest that you should visit this location before you complete the Badlands main story missions. I myself found it way after that point and while on the final mission myself. If the vehicle is not there, know that it’s likely a bug. You may have to wait for another Cyberpunk 2077 patch to be released, then visit the location again.
The Colby CX410 Butte doesn’t drive smooth and is a bit clunky and raw on the turns, but if classic old style sports truck is what you are going for, this one is just the car for you.
This one is not very fast. It still packs 235 HP in its engine, though. Designed by Thorton it’s the second free vehicle bearing this company’s name you can have completely for free (I mean without paying money).
Thanks to King_Salty for sharing the location of this vehicle in the comments section below this guide!
This vehicle is unique and available only if you play the game with the Nomad Lifepath. This is V’s very first car that you see in the very first scene in the game.
To get this car, you need to complete the “These boots are made for walking” side job. It takes you to the Badlands, where you find a girl, who has discovered your car, fixed and tuned it up a bit and you have two options – pay her to get it back or take the car by threatening her.
The car is loud and weird, but drives nice and you certainly wont find another one like it anywhere around. It’s Nomad-modified, for the lack of a better description.
This is an all-wheel drive model and packs under its hood the impressive 293 HP for its size and looks. It only fits two people, but you will never have to drive more than one passenger anyway.
this car is a reward for you for completing a side job involving the AI taxi system called Delamain. You need to find and reset several lost vehicles (one in each of the Districts of Night City ).
The side job that starts it all is called “Epistrophy”. It is given to you automatically shortly after you complete one of the first main jobs with Jackie involving Demalain, this is pretty early in the game.
After you help Delamain collect its lost vehicles (quite funny story behind each one!) you will be called to the Delamain HQ. The new side job that tasks you with this is called “Don’t Lost your Mind”. This is the job that, if you choose the correct answer in the end, will give you the Demalain No. 21 car.
A virus is taking over Delamain’s core and you have to help. If you have the perk that grants you shock immunity you will get through this mission a lot quicker. If not, be careful of the floor-is-lava effect inside Delamain’s HQ. To get the car, you must choose the option to Reset Delamain or set his multiple personalities free. On your way out of the building, the AI will tell you that it has a gift for you – one of its own taxi cars, the Delamain No. 21.
This is a classic model, more than twenty years old at the time. It’s got 333 HP and is a rear-wheel drive that has been in production between 2038 and 2053.
The most pimped vehicle you can get for free is Villefort’s Alvarado “Vato”. This giant six-wheel car can be yours if you defeat your opponent in the side job “Beat on the Brat: The Glen”.
To get that side job you have to talk to the local merchant that is located in the atrium of the megabuilding where V’s apartment is. He will start the side jobs chain called “Beat on the Brat”.
There will be several opponents you must defeat to complete it, but if you are only interested in getting the car, then head to The Glen to fight El Cesar for the “Beat on the Brat: The Glen” side job.
He is desperate for money and will bet his car. When you defeat him (tip: use double-jump and Berserk if you have these cyberware implants ). At the end you will choose to leave him with the money, but take the car, take both or leave him both.
The car is a Villefort design that is over twenty years old at the time the game takes place. It packs 407 HP and is a front-wheel drive with two pairs of wheels on the left and right front side. It’s quite a long vehicle too.
If you want to help me complete this guide and catalog of vehicles and ways to get them for free, please, leave a comment or email me ( [email protected] ) with the details about the vehicle you got and is still missing in this guide! Thank you!
I hope you enjoyed this guide showing you the basics of the driving in Cyberpunk 2077 and how to get free vehicles to add to your collection.
