Looks like Poland will soon have a new king (or król ) of the high seas.

Conrad Yachts has just announced that its highly anticipated superyacht Ace is set to launch in just two months’ time. The 145-footer will become the largest yacht ever built in Poland and take the crown as the country’s flagship. That title previously belonged to Conrad’s 133-foot superyacht Viatoris .

Commissioned by a Swiss owner, Ace is the first unit from the yard’s C144S line. A product of fruitful collaboration, the yacht was brought to life by an all-star cast of designers and naval architects hailing from all corners of the globe. Her sleek exterior is the handiwork of British studio Reymond Langton Design, while her naval architecture was executed by Dutch outfit Diana Yacht Design. Milanese firm M2 Atelier penned the interiors and Conrad’s in-house team is handling construction, of course. Ace’s 133-foot predecessor was also penned by Reymond Langton, which is considered one of the hottest studios in superyacht design.

The impending king sports a straight bow–that explains the “S” in the model name–along with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. Onboard, there is one owner’s suite, four VIP cabins, four crew cabins and a captain’s cabin. That means she can sleep up to 10 guests and nine crew.

As for grunt, Ace will be equipped with twin CAT engines that give her an estimated top speed of 13 knots. When cruising at a more leisurely 10 knots, the yacht will be able to cover around 4,000 nautical miles.

Conrad began working on Ace at the Gdansk yard in the summer of 2020 and is expected to launch the vessel in early October. There is also a second hull from the C144S series under construction and a third hull listed for sale with Denison. Perhaps this particular król might just have to share the crown.

The Biggest Yacht Built in Poland

Conrad Shipyard has launched Hull No. 1 of the C144S, which is believed to be the biggest yacht ever built in Poland.

The yacht, built for a Swiss owner, will be christened Ace . Exteriors are by Reymond Langton and Diana Yacht Design in collaboration with the shipyard. Interiors are by M2 Atelier.

According to the yard, the project took two years to complete at its Gdansk, Poland, location. Future builds are expected to take about the same amount of time.

“The C144S is an exciting new project that I am proud to be involved with,” said Denison Yachting sales broker Alex G. Clarke. “ Ace is a very high-quality yacht built to Lloyds LY3 and NCA standards. The launch of Hull No. 1 is a huge step for the shipyard and will gain attention as a top-pedigree superyacht whose quality I would put up against any builder in the world.”

Ace is expected to be officially christened on Dec. 5. Hull No. 2 is already sold and under construction, with delivery expected prior to the summer 2023 cruising season.

Is Hull No. 3 of the C144S still available? Yes, and it’s exclusively for sale with Denison Yachting. The asking price is about $26.4 million, and construction could begin immediately.

Conrad launches largest luxury superyacht fully built in Poland

The Gdansk superyacht builder launches the 44.3m Ace, built for a Swiss client, with hull two of the shipyard’s C144S series set to follow in 2023.

Conrad has launched the first hull of its C144S design, Ace , in Gdansk on the country’s north coast. The 44.3m tri-deck has an 8.9m beam and a volume of 494GT, and is the largest luxury superyacht fully built in the country, usurping the shipyard’s 40m Viatoris launched in 2018.

Commissioned by a Swiss customer introduced to the shipyard by the Luxury Charter Group , the C144S is named as such because of its straight bow. UK-based firm Reymond Langton designed the exterior, Dutch firm Diana Yacht Design was responsible for naval architecture and engineering, while Italy-based M2 Atelier handled the custom interior and décor.

Mikołaj Król, Conrad Shipyard Chairman & CEO, said: “This project is a combination of a stylish design with incredible harmony but also the intriguing silhouette of a modern superyacht. Thanks to the impeccable collaboration with all the people involved in the project, we achieved collective success.”

Ace was ordered in January 2020, with construction starting in July 2020. The yacht has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, and is fitted with twin Cat C18 ACERT engines, providing a cruising speed of 11 knots, a top speed of 13 and a range of 4,000nm at 10 knots.

After delivery to the client, Ace will be available for charter through Luxury Charter Group. The 145ft yacht has a draft of 2.45m and can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests in five staterooms as well as nine crew members.

C144S hull two is now under construction, with delivery scheduled for 2023. Subsequent C144S yachts have an estimated build time of about 24 months.

Poland has a new heavyweight and the nation’s new flagship is set to hit the water next month.  Ace , as she’s been dubbed, is the first unit from  Conrad Yachts ‘ 44.27-metre C144S line.

Ace  is a true work of European collaboration, as her exterior design was penned by the British studio  Reymond Langton Design , her naval architecture penned by the Netherlands’  Diana Yacht Design , and her interior spaces curated by the Milanese m2atelier. Conrad Yachts, the Poland-based builder handled her construction.

With 494 GT and five staterooms, ACE can comfortably accommodate as many as 10 guests. She can also carry nine crew. She’s constructed out of steel and aluminium for her hull and superstructure, and equipped with twin CAT engines. The series is charactorised by a straight bow.

In terms of performance, it’s expected that the superyacht ACE will be able to reach speeds of up to 13 knots. When cruising at 10 knots, it’s likely that her range will be around 4,000 nautical miles.

Ace  was commissioned by a Swiss owner, and she’ll be followed by two more units from the series. Conrad Yachts is already underway with the second C144S, scheduled for delivery in 2023. The third unit from the model line is on the market, listed with SuperYachtsMonaco and Denison Yachting.

ACE, a 44.27 m Motor Yacht built in Poland and delivered in 2022, is the flagship of Conrad . She is one of 3 C144S models.

Her top speed is 13.8 kn, her cruising speed is 11.0 kn, and she boasts a maximum cruising range of 5100.0 nm at 10.0 kn, with power coming from two Caterpillar diesel engines. She can accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 staterooms, with 9 crew members waiting on their every need. She has a gross tonnage of 497.0 GT and a 8.9 m beam.

She was designed by Reymond Langton Design , who has designed 23 other superyachts in the BOAT Pro database.

The naval architecture was developed by Diana Yacht Design , who has architected 83 other superyachts in the BOAT Pro database, and the interior of the yacht was designed by M2 Atelier , who has 3 other superyacht interiors designed in the BOAT Pro database - she is built with a Teak deck, a Steel hull, and Aluminium superstructure.

Last weekend, the Gdańsk-based Conrad Shipyard organized a ceremonial presentation of its new superyacht ACE C144S with record parameters. The event gathered industry veterans from around the globe in the city.

Walkers walking along the Motława embankment on Saturday became stunned at the sight of a powerful yacht moored in front of the Hilton hotel. The unit made a huge impression not only on passers-by, but also on the world's journalists and brokers who came to Gdańsk especially to see it up close.

ACE is the first copy of the C144S line. Impressive dimensions - over 44 meters long and 9 meters wide - make it the largest motor yacht ever built in Poland. No wonder then that its premiere aroused such keen interest.

The spectacular vessel is the result of over two years of intensive work by skilled craftsmen, engineers and designers. The concept of the external, timeless silhouette was prepared by the British office of Reymond Langton. Responsibility for the ship's architecture was entrusted to the Dutch company Diana Yacht Design. The luxurious interiors were designed by the Milan studio M2 Atelier. The construction of the yacht was managed by the Conrad shipyard team.

“The main challenge was to manage the project,” said Marcin Czarniawski, project manager at Conrad Shipyard.

"It's only now that we're looking at this boat. We will take pictures and then also a session in the Mediterranean Sea. We will be featured in the press and promote this boat at exhibitions, because we want to build more,” added Mikołaj Król, president of Conrad Shipyard.

Various accompanying attractions have been prepared for the invited guests. During the morning cruise by water tram, they had the opportunity to learn interesting threads from the history of Gdańsk. During the visit to the Conrad shipyard, it was possible to take a look at the ongoing construction process of the second hull from the C144S line. There was also time and space for networking. At lunch and dinner one could only hear expressions of total enchantment with the yacht.

“It's a beautiful boat. Very impressive quality and finish. Well done," Cecile Gauert, executive editor of Boat International US, told us.

On three decks of the superyacht we will find a cinema, two bars, two dining rooms, a sauna and a swimming pool. ACE provides ultra-comfortable accommodation for 10 guests and a crew of 9. The yacht can reach speeds of up to 13 knots and will have a range of approximately 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots. This means that you can go on a long cruise without having to visit ports.

The unit was built on the order of a customer from Switzerland. The name of the boat refers to the service ace - the owner is passionate about tennis. The shipowner intends to use the yacht himself, but also plans to use it for charter.

Her unique concept originates from the desire for unsurpassed freedom, love for the sea, and passion for sailing. A real challenge to all parties involved, the owner had extraordinary yet precise requirements wanting to maximize comfort, without giving up on sailing performance. For additional support, project management was entrusted to world-renowned sailor Norbert Sedlacek.

PERFORMANCE

Performance oriented hull lines, powered by carbon rig and advanced sails, in combination with a lifting keel and latest deck equipment, are the secret to Bellkara’s excellent naval characteristics. She is fast, agile, and responsive, yet a luxurious cruiser delivering the highest level of comfort to the owner and his guests.

Her wide beam delivers outstanding interior volume divided into two zones, giving crew and guests their private space. The aft part of the yacht accommodates a spacious garage for a 5-meter luxurious tender. A powerful 355 HP engine, large fuel tanks, strong hull, and unlimited sailing range make Bellkara ready for long-range cruising in most demanding conditions.

35M | ALU KETCH MOTORSAILER

This unique concept was driven by the desire for unlimited freedom and unsurpassed comfort of living. Pushing the boundaries using latest technologies, including an advanced fully automated sails management system, make this luxury motorsailer not only easy to handle, but also provide outstanding comfort usually seen on motor yachts.

Designed by German Newcruise, we partnered with Vripack for naval architecture. An extensive hydraulic package controlling sails, windlasses, thrusters, deck gear and aft gate, make this yacht virtually fully automated and very easy to handle. The tender storage on the large front deck turns into a swimming pool for children and the hydraulic aft deck into a bathing platform.

Built to meet Lloyd’s Register and MCA regulations, with two powerful engines, extremely large fuel tanks, Lunar is prepared for long-range cruising in most demanding conditions. Additional comfort is ensured by two outstanding gyrostabilizers, which provide up to 80% reduction of rolling when at anchor. Her luxurious interiors are finished with high-gloss varnished American Nut in connection with decorative elements made of onyx stone and polished stainless steel.

45M | THREE-MASTED SCHOONER

In dilapidated condition, with her glorious past seemingly long forgotten, she was in need of a major refit. With completely new interiors, deck arrangement, electrics, paintwork and comprehensive works performed on hull and machinery installations, Malcolm Miller was able to make an amazing transformation. Her refit required significant redesigning performed by Yacht Studio Strawinski, while her new stylish interiors were created according to the owner’s wishes by the Conrad Shipyard design team.

Originally commissioned in 1968 at the Aberdeen yard of John Lewis & Sons to a design of Camper & Nicholson, her construction was co-founded by Lord Mayor of London, Sir James Miller, and named after his son Malcolm. For more than thirty years she has been a continuous part of maritime culture serving as a training ship for the Sail Training Association, known for its organization of The Tall Ships’ Races.

The deck was completely stripped off and rearranged. The layout was also completely changed according to the owner. The classic appearance of the yacht was improved by installing a new deckhouse, traditional wooden companionways, and stylish skylights. Original windlass and anchors were renovated and kept. All three masts were completely refitted and additional jump spreaders were added to reduce the number of running backstays. Park Avenue booms were installed to allow for easier handling of sails.

67 M | BARQUE

Today we have entered the era of highly automated ships with modern navigation systems requiring well-trained technical operators. Le Quy Don, a sail training ship, is a tribute to the “salty dogs” of the bygone days. Built for the Vietnamese navy, she was designed by world-renowned Polish sailing ship designer Zygmunt Choreń.

Designed as a traditional barque, with 21 various sails and a total area of 1400 m2, she can be hand operated with the help of only a few capstans. The masts are made from marine-grade aluminum and the mizzenmast doubles as an exhaust pipe for the main engine and diesel generators. For ease of operation, the ship is provided with a broad flying working-deck one level above the main deck and weather decks are covered in wood as required by tradition.
