Awarded ‘Best Charter Yacht’ by Robb Report, St David is innovatively styled both inside and out, and showcases a study of artisan craftsmanship in every respect.

Launched by Benetti Shipyard, and designed internally by Andrew Winch, the splendid custom-made 60-meter motor yacht St David was refitted in 2019 to achieve one sole purpose: to create the absolute pinnacle of contemporary charter excellence.

Her opulent interior sleeps up to 12 guests in 6 staterooms that incorporate a magnificent master suite, full-beam VIP stateroom and 4 very spacious double rooms, all convertible to twin. Split over two levels with a raised bedroom for ultimate privacy and luxury, the master suite features a stunning staircase, sumptuous lounge area, ensuite and panoramic views that provide a truly unforgettable experience.

Throughout her interior, living spaces are finished to the highest standards, evident in her beautiful mosaic floors, sculptured tables that rise and fall, and detailed marquetry. The Italian Riviera-style creates a lavish atmosphere on board, featuring a floating staircase which spans three decks, topped by a skylight and peeking into the bottom of the sundeck pool.

Outside, on the upper deck is an oversized jacuzzi as well as a fabulous circulate dining table for 12 guests and an adjacent bar. Dining on the deck below offers an alternative experience with an indoor-outdoor circular table.

Motor Yacht ST. DAVID is a custom 60m superyacht designed by Andrew Winch and launched by the Benetti Shipyard. ST. DAVID was awarded ‘Best Charter Yacht’ by the Robb Report, and was recently refitted in 2019 to create the ultimate contemporary charter experience.

Luxury yacht ST. DAVID has six staterooms, including an owner’s master suite, a full-beam VIP stateroom, and four spacious double rooms that can be converted into twin rooms if required. The owner’s master suite is split over two levels, with a raised bedroom for maximum privacy, a stunning staircase, a lounge area, an ensuite, and panoramic views.

Charter yacht ST. DAVID is the star of Seasons 10 & 11 of the popular US TV Series “Below Deck”.

The interior living spaces on motor yacht ST. DAVID are finished to the highest standards, with mosaic floors, sculptured tables, and detailed marquetry. The Italian Riviera-style creates a lavish atmosphere on board, featuring a floating staircase that spans three decks and is topped by a skylight.

Outside, the ST. DAVID yacht boasts an oversized jacuzzi pool, refitted in 2019 with new pumps and jets. There is also a fabulous circular dining table for twelve guests and an adjacent bar on the upper deck, while the deck below offers an indoor-outdoor circular table, well-protected in case of a crosswind.

The interior of Motor Yacht ST. DAVID can accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 cabins, including an Owner’s suite that is on 2 levels, a VIP suite, and 4 spacious double/twin cabins. The VIP suite and the other 4 guest cabins can be converted into twin cabins upon request.

The Master Suite is located on the main deck of the yacht and is a magnificent full-beam Owner’s suite that is divided into 2 levels. It features a raised bedroom for ultimate privacy and luxury, a stunning staircase, a sumptuous lounge area, an ensuite bathroom, and panoramic views that provide a truly unforgettable experience.

The Guest cabins on Motor Yacht ST. DAVID are located on the lower deck of the yacht and include 1 VIP full-beam cabin with a double bed, a large walk-in dressing area, an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower and a separate bathtub, and 4 double cabins that can be converted into twin cabins. 2 of the double cabins have bathtubs, and the other 2 have showers.

• Inspiration

Benetti’s magnificent and award-winning 60m/197ft superyacht called St David is a beautifully designed and built motor yacht. Her interior displays the hallmarks of one of the yachting world’s best interior designers, no less than the widely celebrated Andrew Winch, and her overall design maximises space, freedom and lifestyle. With three spacious decks yacht St David has multi-dimensional space to entertain family or friends. From watching movies under the stars in the outdoor cinema to a huge variety of water sports, this superyacht has it all. She sleeps up to 12 guests in six functional, well designed and furnished state rooms including a master suite, one VIP state room as well as four guest retreats.

St David was launched in 2008. Designed by the British designer Andrew Winch she was launched as the fourth hull in Benetti’s 60m series. She featured in the Antigua Charter Yacht Show at the Falmouth Harbour Marina and is said to be a perfect charter yacht. What an impressive figure she cuts with her gentle curves and streamlined profile sparkling in the Caribbean. 

In the summer months, St David itineraries will take you to the Mediterranean while in the winter, the Caribbean. You can decide where and when you want to go at your own pace and to idyllic destinations that suit you. Escape to your favourite spot or discover something new as you cruise along at 13 knots. Sail to the French and Italian Riviera, Cuba, the Virgin Islands or along the Amalfi Coast.

The interior

Designer Andrew Winch designed the opulent interior of this yacht to blend perfectly with the practical spaces. The idea was to create space for a whole host of activities with an interior inspired by romantic, elegant and large Italian hotels. Luxurious escapism is what’s on display throughout with intricate marquetry, marble and glittering mosaics. Guests can expect a warm welcome when boarding St David through the curved doors at the aft deck. This acts as a precedent of what is to come. 

You won’t fail to be impressed with the checked marble flooring, central compass motif and a fantastic cocktail bar to port. What a divine area to sip drinks in comfortable, wingback armchairs. The St David’s interior lavish charms in the main saloon certainly delights. The high gloss wood in the bar is replicated in the cabinetry and wall panels - exquisite. 

Soft white carpets with borders of pink flowers replace the marble floor in the dining rooms and lounges. Relax on one of the four sumptuous sofas in peach, gold and white fabric that face a coffee table to create the perfect social seating area. The table and chairs are upholstered in gold damask and complete the formal dining set up superbly.

Oil on canvas paintings by the muralist Michael Alford are on display along with sparkling glassware, fossil ornaments and amazing candelabras. A sweeping staircase will certainly capture your attention especially with its intricate marquetry made from soft satin wood. Natural light filters through a glass bottom spa pool on the sundeck to lighten up the space even further, what an effect.

Accommodation

The opulent accommodation consists of one master suite with a king size bed, a VIP suite with one queen size bed including four twin and double guest rooms. The master suite lobby is adorned with four glass etched panels of charts that shows destinations St David has chartered in. These depict Corsica and Sardinia, the Peloponnese and the Windward Islands in the Caribbean. A short corridor leads off the lobby to this master suite. Sturdy sliding doors provide all the privacy you need.

In the lounge, you will find a corner sofa and armchair upholstered in ivory damask. The sofa faces a wide screen TV, ideal for watching your favourite programmes. An en suite bathroom is situated to port. With a spa-like feel, the bathroom features an eye-catching sand coloured Italian marble bath complimented by a his and her sink. The checked marble floor is in grey and amber. There are also two showers for guests to use.

The St David sleeping quarters can be accessed by a short staircase which has a stunning gold balustrade. The skylight above provides spectacular views as you sail to new horizons and beyond. Look up at the hand painted ceiling mural by the Italian Luca Battini. Painted in a soft pastel blue and gold leaf, it matches the soft furnishings and carpet perfectly. Interior designer Andrew Winch has achieved what he intended to do. His Rocco style of design incorporates soft colour schemes and plenty of natural light.

To reach the four guest state rooms, go down the central staircase to the lower deck. Here there is a fabulous globe sculpture, designed by David Harbour, in 24 carat gold, a masterpiece indeed! This globe is used as a drinks cabinet with an exterior depicting the mythical land of Xanadu. Just as a matter of interest, the motor yacht St David was named after the designer of this outstanding globe.

A VIP suite is situated stretching across the full beam of the lower deck. This comprises of a sofa, desk, spacious mirrored closets and a large bed. There’s also a huge bathroom decorated in grained gold marble. Further guest accommodation comprises of two twin and two double cabins. They are named after Italian hotels and are furnished in different colours ranging from pastel green to cream, gold to rose.

Each of St David’s cabins is extravagantly lavish with luxurious marble bathrooms and individual pieces of stunning artwork.

Let’s turn our attention to the upper deck. The aft deck and sky lounge located here are known as the Tuscan palazzo. With light wooden wall panels, this lounge has a jaw-dropping, bright, airy feel while still providing a touch of romance in its décor. In pastel green, there’s a built-in sofa and to complete the scene, a wooden topped coffee table. A widescreen TV and games table is situated opposite alongside an inside-outside dining area. 

The delightful inside-outside dining area has a wooden table, a lovely mosaic floor in turquoise, white and gold tiles and seats 12 people comfortably. The sunlight filters through a sky light located above the seating area. For guests who enjoy dining al fresco, there are wide, curved glass doors that slide open so you can overlook the aft deck. 

Expect to indulge in the finest dining experiences on board the St David. Have a spot of breakfast or lunch on the top deck or an afternoon tea in the relaxing sky lounge. Socialise in the main saloon for the very best gastronomic dining experience. The upper deck is also a multi-purpose entertainment area with a staircase to port that goes to the sundeck above.

The sun deck

The versatile sun deck is a daytime and after dark hub of activity on any charter yacht. St David is no exception. During a yacht charter voyage many guests like to keep up their exercise routines. On the St David removing the forward sun pads reveals two Woodway running machines, an exercise bike and exercise machine. What could be better than working out while enjoying the splendid views? 

There’s also a gym at the port side of the radar arch with all the equipment you need for a full-on workout. Speak to the onboard personal fitness instructor about training. He or she can guide you through a workout tailored to suit your needs. Fitness activities are varied and fun to do. This could include boxing training, circuits, paddle board fitness and even hiking on shore.

After exercising, relax in the large spa pool. A screen serves as a monitor for outdoor movies or you can watch popular sporting events as you relax in the bubbling Jacuzzi. Now that sounds like heaven on earth. Other features on the aft deck include a large round dining table under the radar arch. Want to do a little more sunbathing? Step up to a second sunbathing area where you will find brightly coloured parasols and comfortable chaise loungers. 

Get ready to party

Large and impressive, this 60-meter steel tri-deck superyacht was built by the renowned Benetti shipyard in Italy. Lasting quality, design, and styling are the benchmarks of this famous builder. After the launches of Amnesia, Alibella, and Latitude, Benetti has raised the bar with the launch of the much-anticipated ST. DAVID. An evolution in design, her interior and exterior are innovatively-styled by Andrew Winch. Neil Cheston of CNI supervised construction.

ACCOMMODATIONS

The luxury motor yacht ST DAVID offers 12 guests the ultimate in comfort and luxury. The yacht can accommodate 12 guests, served by a professional crew of 16. The layout enhances social life aboard, from relaxing in the sundeck pool to dining in style on the bridge deck veranda.  Further, to chatting at the main deck bar or going afloat with the yacht’s extensive range of craft and watersports.

There are accommodations for up to 12 guests including a unique and especially large and luxurious owner’s suite with the bedroom raised above the lounge and the bathroom on a panoramic deck. Adjacent to the Owner’s suite is a small cabin for use by staff. Below, there is a full-beam VIP stateroom and four spacious double staterooms, all of which have the option to convert to twin beds.

St David boasts a beautiful interior designed by the celebrated Andrew Winch. The interior of this mega yacht is inspired by the grand hotels of the Italian Rivera.

The central, cantilevered floating staircase rises from the lower deck to the upper deck. It forms the heart of the yacht. In specific, linking her expansive sundeck with her dining area and upper deck.

ENTERTAINMENT

She has the perfect layout for a Mediterranean yacht charter.  This motor yacht provides particularly open, spacious, and functional outdoor entertainment areas. Her opulent interior sleeps up to 12 guests in six staterooms that incorporate a magnificent master suite, full-beam VIP stateroom and very spacious four double rooms, which can all be converted to twin, if requested. Split over two levels, and with a raised bedroom for ultimate privacy and luxury, the master suite features a stunning staircase, sumptuous lounge area, ensuite and panoramic views that provide a truly unforgettable experience.

'You almost lost Capt. Dave today': David Portnoy rescued after boat goes adrift off Nantucket

The Coast Guard rescued Barstool Sports founder David Portnoy on Monday after his boat went adrift off Nantucket, Massachusetts.

In a video on X , Portnoy said he wanted to take his mom on a boat ride, but his boat wouldn't start. He didn't realize that until after he unhooked it from a buoy in the harbor.

"Your boys almost lost Capt. Dave today," Portnoy said. "Capt. Dave almost was lost to the ocean."

Portnoy said the boat had no power and no anchor, and he didn't have a radio.

"The next thing you know, Capt. Dave is lost at sea," Portnoy said. "(The wind) was blowing and trying not to crash into ships in the harbor."

After yelling for help and shooting off a flare gun, Portnoy said another boater stepped on board to help.

"She boards Capt. Dave's vessel. She said, 'Can I make a TikTok of you? I said, 'No time for TikToks,'" he said.

The Coast Guard said it was able to tow the boat back to the buoy.

"Capt. Dave lives to tell another tale," Portnoy said.

Utah CEO and teenage daughter killed after bulldozer falls on their truck

Richard david hendrickson, ceo of lifetime products, and his 16-year-old daughter sally were killed in ogden canyon when a mini bulldozer broke free from a tow truck navigating a curve.

The Utah CEO of an outdoor furniture company and his 16-year-old daughter have been killed after a bulldozer fell on top of their truck.

Richard David Hendrickson, 57, and his daughter Sally were killed on a state highway in Ogden Canyon on Saturday afternoon when a mini bulldozer broke free from a tow truck during a right-hand curve, according to the state's department of public safety.

Hendrickson and Sally, who lived in Uintah, were pronounced dead on the scene inside a GMC pickup truck that was towing a boat, state officials said in a news release.

Hendrickson was the CEO and president of Lifetime Products, which announced his death in a news release posted later that day. Hendrickson's wife and two of their other children also sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the accident while another daughter was traveling overseas at the time, the company said.

"It is with profound sadness that we announce the tragic and sudden passing of our CEO and President, Richard David Hendrickson, in a car accident," the statement reads. "This heartbreaking incident also claimed the life of one of his daughters, Sally."

Utah Governor calls Hendrickson a 'friend and incredible leader'

Republican Utah Gov. Spencer Cox offered his condolences on X.

"Richard was a friend and incredible leader," Cox wrote. "We are heartbroken by his tragic passing with his daughter Sally. We mourn with the surviving members of his family and pray they will find comfort and healing."

Hendrickson was a visionary and a friend to many at Lifetime Products, according to the company. He was known for his "uniquely broad and extensive set of talents," a "legendary" mechanical aptitude and a "special" ability to connect with people.

"Richard started as a welder and progressed through multiple levels of the company to become President and CEO due to his extraordinary talents and abilities," Barry Mower, who founded Lifetime Products in 1986, said in a statement. "He was one of my most trusted and cherished friends and will be sorely missed. Lifetime will not be the same without him."

Even though he wasn't there, the family made sure their little princess felt all loved and celebrated on her big day.

‘Absolutely incredible’: Man rowing solo across Atlantic is surrounded by whales

Tom Waddington is on a quest to row across the Atlantic Ocean all by himself — but on Sunday, he found plenty of company at sea, when a pod of pilot whales thronged around him. They followed him for hours, growing from a few playful animals to hundreds of large creatures. At least one smacked into his small boat.

The whales popped their heads above the surface and seemed to play together — a gam of whales , gadding about — as Waddington, who is rowing some 2,000 nautical miles from the Newfoundland coast to Penzance, in the United Kingdom, watched in amazement.

“This is so cool,” Waddington said as he took a video of the whales’ antics. With a laugh, he added, “I love it, but I'm scared they're gonna hit my rudder.”

Waddington emerged unscathed — but a little shaken by the risks mammals weighing thousands of pounds can pose to his boat and equipment on an unsupported solo trip.

“They were just playing and going under the boat and I was taking videos,” he said on Facebook and Instagram, describing hundreds of whales around him. Then one of the whales slammed into the side of his light boat.

“And I was like, Oh my God. And suddenly it turned from David Attenborough into Moby Dick. And I was really scared.”

Waddington’s team on land believes the playful mammals are long-finned pilot whales, which the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says are known to live in the North Atlantic and “are very social, living in large schools of hundreds of animals separated into close-knit pods of 10 to 20 individuals.”

The whales appeared at a moment when Waddington was feeling a bit low, he said, after a morning full of rain.

“What a special treat,” he said on the video. “I've seen loads of whales, but they've just come to say hello.”

When it came time to take leave of his visitors, Waddington says he wasn’t sure how to do that. He tried shouting a bit, and splashed his oars. He veered north — but the whales followed, and for more than two hours, it seemed more whales kept showing up.

Waddington, who works as a ski instructor, is rowing across the ocean for a fundraiser benefiting Mind , the British mental health charity led by the actor Stephen Fry. Waddington estimates that more than 1,000 whales swam with him. For advice, he called his coach, Charlie Pitcher (who has himself rowed across the Atlantic).

“He was like, the best thing to do is, be quiet and still — which is exactly the opposite of what I did" earlier, he said.

Eventually, the whales left the boat and its sole occupant with a rare story about crossing the Grand Banks , the large fishery at the edge of the North American continental shelf.

“It was absolutely incredible,” Waddington said.

The encounter didn’t harm the boat, or its progress across open water.

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy and his mom had to be rescued by the US Coast Guard Monday after his boat suddenly lost power and went adrift off Nantucket.

“Your boys almost lost Captain Dave today,” the 47-year-old revealed in a video posted on social media.

The sea saga unfolded after Portnoy said he unhooked his 28-foot boat from a dock in one of the exclusive Massachusetts vacation island’s harbors — only to realize the vessel’s engine and breakers were dead. 

“No power, no radio, no anchor, no nothing; heavy, heavy winds,” he recalled in the two-minute clip. “Next thing you know, Captain Dave is lost at sea.”

After trying to navigate his boat through the crowded harbor, Portnoy — who last year shelled out a staggering $42 million for a waterfront property on the island — said he screamed for help and eventually fired a flare gun to attract attention.

Eventually, a female who was sailing nearby noticed him and boarded his boat.

“She boards Captain Dave’s vessel. She said, ‘Can I make a TikTok of you?’ I said, ‘No time for TikToks,'” he said.

The woman then radioed the Coast Guard for help, Portnoy revealed.

Coast Guard members who were conducting a training exercise nearby helped tow his boat back to land.

“Captain Dave lives to tell another tale,” Portnoy said as he thanked the agency.

The Boston-based First Coast Guard District later responded to Portnoy’s video, tweeting : “You’re welcome, Dave.”

“Tell Miss Peaches we said hi and remember to boat safe!” the agency added, referring to Portnoy’s 6-year-old American pit bull rescue.

Meanwhile, Portnoy claimed he may have second thoughts about going back out on his boat again.

“It’s a dangerous game, the sea’s angry, my friends,” he said. “Captain Dave may never go in the boat again.”
